Day two of the House Speaker battle is scheduled to begin at noon, maybe. Amid the chaos “GOP leaders and aides were still deciding how to proceed on the floor on Wednesday. Top Republicans are giving little indication of any future speaker votes, how long the battle will last, or even whether they’ll hold conference meetings. It’s possible that the House could reconvene on Wednesday only to vote to punt further speaker votes until Thursday.”
Kevin McCarthy is demanding the House Republicans give him his “precious,” an affectionate term for the speaker gavel that is in sight, but just out of reach. Meanwhile, the conservative caucus is not flinching. “It may not happen on the day we want it, but it’s going to happen,” McCarthy said late Tuesday night.
As frustrated spectators CTH readers decry the visibility of the UniParty apparatus, yearning, thirsting for a bold contrast. Well, finally 20 House Conservatives are delivering that battle, the big ugly, and I am happy to see this unfolding with all the brilliant and chaotic mess it deserves. Fight on my friends, fight on. WATCH:
.
Let Day Two of the Big Ugly commence forthwith.

Wonder what Luntz has told him to do and say – today.
Whatever the Clinton’s and Obama’s top”nudger” aka behavioral scientist aka propagandist of The Science (TM) of the pandemic and being happy owning nothing eating bugs, now Google’s Chief Global Behavioral Scientist, coauthor of the UN’s Behavioural Insights Achieving Agenda 2030 (WEF Great Reset) tell him to do and say:

I bet he gave Kevin a sympathy bj last night.
The Freedon Caucus has to realize that there are at least 10 RINOs who would in a heartbeat vote for Cheney, Kinzinger, Jefferies… you name it!
Quite true, but such a vote would drive a stake through the heart of the Republican Party–and EVERYBODY knows it. McCarthy knows it, his allies know it, and, yes, the Freedom Caucus knows it.
But so do those 10 or more RINOs. And if they pulled such a move, their political future would be cloudy at best.
It’s not at all assured they’d be welcome in the Democrat Party as moderates, and they’d be pariahs in whatever was left of the Republican Party. And for damn sure, they’d be persona non grata in any new party that splintered off from the rotting Republican Party.
So everybody is playing chicken, seeing who will blink first.
Maximus-Cassius: “It’s not at all assured they’d be welcome in the Democrat Party as moderates, and they’d be pariahs in whatever was left of the Republican Party.”
Yes, I’m sure the fate of Sen. Arlen Specter, who bolted the GOP for the Democrats in 2009 and was thereafter kicked to the curbside by the Dems, is never far from the thoughts of D. C. schemers.
When Snarlin’ Arlen made that move late in his “career”, he was just going back home, in a manner of speaking.
And among those RINOs there are at least some that are not owned, compromised, or corrupt but simply doing what they think is right based on the honest decision that they have been elected to represent their (substantially liberal) constituency. This is not only smart for them politically but, they might argue reasonably, the right thing to do, even if it results in a departure from conservative principles or from what we might want sometimes or often. As we saw with Collins during the Kavanaugh debacle, there remain places that at least she will not go.
Castalletto,
You paint an accurate description of what is wrong with our Representatives. Instead of being true to their own beliefs, as the founders of this great Republic hoped, they pander to their constituents to get elected again and again. I want someone representing me with a backbone that will stand up for what he believes. If I don’t like what he believes, I will tell him, and if his voting record is unacceptable to me, I vote him out. The founders never envisioned lifetime congress appointments, which is what we currently endure.
Thank you for arguing principle over expedience, marcus.
Expedience is the trap that has gotten us where we are.
….the founders of this great Republic hoped….”
….and those founders never imagined how political destruction from within would be aided and abetted by political parties. (except George Washington knew)
All of this is precisely why George Washington said what he did in his farewell address–which was never spoken, only published in print.
He basically said—NO POLITICAL PARTIES, per se—it’s not mysterious, apparently, because George Washington KNEW that what is happening now WOULD HAPPEN if political parties became the vehicle for political action.
I’ve stopped providing links to his Farewell Address. Been doing it for several years and there has not been any comment or response at all. Oh, well.
There is no mystery about what is happening and how it is happening.
There is no mystery as to what the solution is.
But hey–let’s just keep bailing water with leaky buckets–it will keep us busy as the ship goes down.
read Federalist Paper #10 written by John Adams (future POTUS) about the negative effects of parties on the body politick….these were written to advocate for the ratification of that quaint document we now call the US Constitution
Washington continues to advance his idea of the dangers of sectionalism and expands his warning to include the dangers of political parties to the country as a whole. These warnings are given in the context of the recent rise of two opposing parties within the government—the Democratic-Republican Party led by Jefferson, and Hamilton’s Federalist Party. Washington had striven to remain neutral during a conflict between Britain and France brought about by the French Revolution, while the Democratic-Republicans had made efforts to align with France, and the Federalists had made efforts to ally with Great Britain.
Washington recognizes that it is natural for people to organize and operate within groups such as political parties, but he also argues that every government has recognized political parties as an enemy and has sought to repress them because of their tendency to seek more power than other groups and to take revenge on political opponents.[4] He feels that disagreements between political parties weakened the government.
Moreover, he makes the case that “the alternate domination” of one party over another and coinciding efforts to exact revenge upon their opponents have led to horrible atrocities, and “is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism.” From Washington’s perspective and judgment, political parties eventually and “gradually incline the minds of men to seek security… in the absolute power of an individual”,[1] leading to despotism. He acknowledges the fact that parties are sometimes beneficial in promoting liberty in monarchies, but he argues that political parties must be restrained in a popularly elected government because of their tendency to distract the government from their duties, create unfounded jealousies among groups and regions, raise false alarms among the people, promote riots and insurrection, and provide foreign nations and interests access to the government where they can impose their will upon the country.
I believe that would result in the formation of a new, MAGA-based party.
Like the story of the bat in Aesop’s Fables.
McCarthy should step aside and allow the GOP to elect a non-RINO consensus candidate to take the gavel.
That’s what he should do, but he won’t. McCarthy has botched this with his arrogance and heavy-handedness. If he loses, he has only himself to blame.
Hoisted on his own petard.
I hate to sound like an owl, but WHO? Who do we focus on next? I smell the FBI/CIA at work causing all kinds of confusion…kinda like they did on January 6? Who won that contest? Who even knew it was a contest? But, all this bickering over position that likely won’t amount to much in D.C.
It’s the plan…Uniparty. Just not so soon. Premature for these aspiring tyrants, haven’t prepared the battlefield of enough minds yet. Which is why the fight now is actually brilliant. Moving into a different timeline while we are stronger than we will be in another two years.
I sincerely hope that the “demands” of the few will be made known.
I believe it to be things like:
The ability to recall the speaker when it is warranted (If I understand correctly, Pelosi eliminated this).
Going back to the regular budget development process.
Getting after the shadow government.
I saw a short segment from Chip Roy last night where he indicated that lies were being told about the holdouts.
If true, I hope the decepticons will be exposed.
I’m with SD … fight on!!…regardless of out come it’s good to see a group not rolling over..🇺🇸👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Regular budget procedure is the big one.
Our great grandchildren won’t be able to get out from under the limitless omnibus bill spending that’s being voted on before any members even read the line items. It needs to stop ten years ago.
Our great grandchildren are totally at risk of not surviving their 20s. Drugs, murders, disease et al has been planted to make sure they reach their dooms day well before 30.
Who will expose them? Look at the war being waged upon the 20. They are being labelled insurrectionists, rebels, and even blackmailers of the American People. The media is almost solidified in berating the holdouts. The truth is that our government is well past salvaging, and that our Nation is lost. What we see is a fading façade of a structure, with some really wonderful accents, completely rotting at the foundation. Only a bloody revolution could save it. Don’t give a shiite how that sounds, it is the truth.
How will #1 get accomplished when Pelosi already sent all the files to the National Archives and had them sealed for 50 years? Democrats who run the National Archives will never release those files! That’s a false promise!!!
Congress shall make law!! Not the President, Supreme Court, or a Senator! Congress has a lot of work restoring their power and overturning the last 50 years of unconstitutional legislation!!! Praying for the patriots.
That cartoon misses the point completely.
They are all star belly sneeches.
Completely…
I think Branco’s idea is to show that Republicans are willing to fight each other but not the Democrats.
The cartoon is not accurate. The RINO should have his mask pulled off with a donkey face underneath. Then the cartoon would be accurate.
Subtle but important change to the cartoon.
The fix is purple panties on one.
This sums it up nicely on Ace of Spades hq..McCarthy making promises he will be unable to keep.
The Augean Stables…filled with RINOS and their by-product, McCarthy being one of the biggest producers.
https://acecomments.mu.nu/?post=402600
Unable is not the same as unwilling.
If McCarthy pulls it off, retribution (payback) will be vicious.
I believe he’ll say/promise anything and everything to get the gavel and if he wins, he’ll GET EVEN.
Good one, Citizen 817.
Both the rinos and the leftists pretend not to be on the same side. But they are 🤬.
The Uniparty 🤬. I have explained that to many people at work. Initially, most of them thought I was crazy 🤣 . But then, events have proven that I was right. Now most of them can see the Uniparty 😲, they know I am right, and not crazy. They know the Uniparty is trying to destroy us.
The Uniparty followers left at work no longer debate me. I made them look like what they are- arrogant, ignorant, self centered and stupid. A lot of people have stopped discussing politics with the Uniparty puppets.

Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House Members to VOTE FOR KEVIN, CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY, & WATCH CRAZY NANCY PELOSI FLY BACK HOME TO A VERY BROKEN CALIFORNIA,THE ONLY SPEAKER IN U.S. HISTORY TO HAVE LOST THE “HOUSE” TWICE! REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT & EMBARRASSING DEFEAT. IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE, YOU DESERVE IT. Kevin McCarthy will do a good job, and maybe even a GREAT JOB – JUST WATCH!
If Republicans are going to fight, we ought to be fighting Mitch McConnell and his domineering, China loving BOSS, I mean wife, Coco Chow. The harm they have done to the Republican Party is incalculable. Today, he couldn’t be elected “Dog Catcher” in Kentucky (Sadly, he only won because of my Endorsement, went up 21 points – SORRY!).
TAKE THE VICTORY AND RUN!!!
Sad. I’m done watching for how ‘great’ Trump’s picks are going to be. MAGA is not the same as supporting the Republican Party.
Some really good conversations DO need to take place.
“MAGA is not the same as supporting the Republican Party.”
Indeed. They are polar opposites. The GOP has crushed any and every patriot while filling the halls with traitors, grifters, globalists and communists.
Now is a time for choosing. I choose Trump
One can choose Trump while still calling out his crap decision to endorse McCarthy. You can support Trump and tell him to pack sand here.
One is not reliant on the other. Here are a few names to think about: Barr. Sessions. Pence. McCarthy 1st time. McCarthy after Jan 6th. McCarthy now.
THey all have one thing in common- they are Trump’s man.
I’ll pass- Trump seems to suck at picking side kicks. He always picks weak knee’d POS GOPe’ers who were put on his list by Uniparty hacks.
McCarthy is a POS and it’s time for a message to be sent.
OTOH, Byron Donalds who was just nominated for Speaker is a PDJT pick and was endorsed and supported by him.
Things that make you go hhmmm…
And I’m sure that PT endorsed and supported Jim Jordan for reelection also.
I choose that the House fights over the Speaker position for the next two years. The more time the House spends on this, the less time they screw the American people.
I chose Trump twice. I supported with time, energy, and money. We are sliding faster and faster into Sodom and Rome. Sodom and Rome will need apologies if America is not judged.
I choose MAGA with a moral and ethical base. Trump can ride along if he wants.
This is a hard one for me….I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree.. In truth, I’d rather have a scum ridden democrap as speaker and know what I’ve got, and adjust/defend accordingly. As opposed to some covert wanker who is going to sneak around back and run me through
Another unforced error by President Trump. Sir, all you had to do was nothing. If you don’t get some Make America Great Again advisors this is going to fail before it starts. And we need you badly. Rally your base. There is no center. And the left is never going to love you. Fire your advisors. They are snakes
Observe how all other non-declared R Prez candidates have kept quiet shut so far.
Perhaps by publicly supporting McCarthy, Trump is counting on people to vote AGAINST his endorsement because . . . well Trump. Reverse psychology, folks.
He said this when he endorsed McCarty. He said it after. He just said it again. Where was the “error?
If you don’t get your pick in the primary, you can either vote for the winner or lose the seat to a Democrat. Trump needed the seats regardless of the occupant. I am not sure some people understand that.
WHO? WHO? Who do you want to be speaker and what platform should they follow. All I keep reading is how RINOs are horrible (I agree), but I’m ready for the fixit phase of this public display of confusion.
I want to see the Democrats fight it out like Republicans do. As of today, I am becoming a certified independent who will act according to my own mind.
Who again is it that you suggest? Could it be Matt Goetz himself?
Sorry Don, just not with you on this one.
Maybe he’s just trying to stir the hornet’s nest.
NOPE – KEVIN IS Taking MONEY and BEHOLDEN to BIG TECH Which EQUALS The INTEL COMMUNITY.

i particularly like this quote:
“It may not happen on the day we want it, but it’s going to happen”
spoken like a genuine rapist.
Yep. And, served with hubris and sociopathy.
Why settle for “good” when we could have “great”?
WHO? I can’t wait to find out who is great and get along with life.
I think it is clear now that there’s no great.
To me that’s exactly the idea, to expose the swamp in all its ugliness.
Why rush? Let them fight each other.
Kevie is not even “good”.
Trump says to vote vote for kevin of the uniparty.
Makes me think Trump is trying to support the uniparty.
If so Trump is also part of the uniparty.
Why else would he be promoting kevin?
CaptainConvey.com
Maybe Kevin has promised to do everything he can to protect Trump and his family. Just a thought.
Kevin – We’ll be nice to you, if you be nice to us… Gollum. Gollum…
Even people who are married carry on internal fights…some days the dominate one wins and some days the not so dominate one wins. Its give and take; give and take turns and that should explain politics in this country. But, the more we lean toward communism, the more it doesn’t work that way anymore.
So, what’s next. The correct speaker will FIX everything…..hahaha
“I think it’s a very dangerous game that’s being played,” Trump said.
“It’s a very dangerous game. Some bad things could happen. Look, we had Boehner and he was a strange person but we ended up with Paul Ryan who was ten times worse.
Paul Ryan was an incompetent speaker. I think he goes down as the worst speaker in history. We took [out] Boehner—and a group of people, some of whom are the same, and they’re very good friends of mine. All those people are very good friends of mine.”
[…] ““Think of it—we ended up with Paul Ryan. Boehner was like Winston Churchill compared to Paul Ryan,” Trump said.
“Boehner wasn’t perfect—nobody’s perfect—but Paul Ryan was a disaster for the Republican Party. That’s what we got. Now we have to live with him. He’s destroying Fox and he’s destroying the New York Post. We got to live with this maniac.
This guy, Paul Ryan, couldn’t have gotten elected in his own area of Wisconsin. I went with him after I won the election and we had a tremendous crowd of people and they booed him off the stage. You remember that? They booed him off the stage. This guy is now telling Fox what to do.”
[…] “Look, I think this: Kevin has worked very hard,” Trump said.
“He is just—it’s been exhausting. If you think, he’s been all over. I think he deserves the shot. Hopefully he’s going to be very strong and going to be very good and he’s going to do what everybody wants.”
[…] “Now, I’m friendly with a lot of those people who are against Kevin. I think almost every one of them are very much inclined toward Trump, and me toward them. But I have to tell them, and I have told them, you’re playing a very dangerous game,”
Trump said. “You could end up with the worse situation. I don’t even want to say what it is, but I could tell you it’s a worse situation. You could end up with some very bad situations. I use the Boehner to Paul Ryan example. You understand what I’m saying? It could be a doomsday scenario. It could be. You could end up with somebody who would be a disaster like Paul Ryan was.”
I think we’re at the point where Trump needs to tell us exactly what the alternative he’s worried about is.
One thing Trump is really good at is ensuring that a simple, concise, consistent message is being broadcast when he’s being interviewed or sending out a press release. In this case, the simple message of “the alternative could be much worse!” isn’t landing very well with us. Considering all the issues with voting, GOPe, democrat insane budgets, etc, a LOT more people are reading theconservativetreehouse and also taking personal responsibility for becoming more knowledgeable about the state of politics in our country.
“Trusting” any sort of plan isn’t on the table anymore. We need the full details, and then we can decide individually if we agree that McCarthy is actually better than some other alternative.
And, the great (though sometimes difficult!) thing about conservatives is that we don’t subscribe to cancel culture! We’re not about to throw out Trump, the wartime president we need, over his endorsement for McCarthy. But maybe some of his close advisors could let him know that basically 99% of his supporters are strongly against McCarthy… that would help him readjust his own opinions / messaging choices!
In any case, pray for the republican holdouts in congress today – I’m sure McCarthy is out in force trying to bribe the holdouts for leadership positions, committee positions, or just plain old cash/investments.
Pray for DJT – he may need to expand his circle of trusted advisors since he may not be receiving comprehensive advice about where his supporters currently stand.
.
If Trump thinks that McCarthy is inevitable… maybe to make McCarthy beholden to him and show that he controls the rabblerousers, not McCarthy.
.
Voting for McCarthy is not a victory. It is surrendering to the swamp. President Trump is not helping himself with his base by endorsing this RINO speaker.
Yeesh. Not feeling it from Pres Trump today.
I’m not in a “get along to go along” mood anymore after untested vaccinations, forced lockdowns in COVID, free speech violations, “logistical” scarcity everywhere, rampant cost inflation … and our Republican Reps lining up how to give more money away to Ukraine.
How about Kevin makes some concessions, and THEN we all get behind him?
President Trump previously endorsed McCarthy for speaker and issued a stark warning about the great risk involved should the Republicans not get behind McCarthy. This is even after McCarthy showed he was no great friend of President Trump. But President Trump is looking at the bigger picture.
The great risk President Trump warned about is personified by the prospect of Hakeem Jeffries becoming speaker. Jeffries is an extremely dangerous radical, more extreme than even Bernie Sanders or AOC.
It was pointed out last night:
“Some centrist Republicans have floated the idea of working with Democrats to nominate a consensus candidate if the GOP can’t overcome the impasse between Jordan’s and McCarthy’s supporters.”
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/jeffries-says-its-not-democrats-job-to-save-the-republicans-from-their-dysfunction/ar-AA15WkWr
All Democrats support Jeffries for speaker, and if centrist Republicans decide to back Jeffries as a consensus candidate we will find ourselves in a world of pain.
Though Gaetz, Jordan, and others are admirable warriors fighting against McCarthy, they potentially could put us in a far, far worse situation. I do not approve of McCarthy but Jeffries would be an utter catastrophe.
We should listen to President Trump on this issue. This could be situation where we should, as Shakespeare put it, “bear those ills we have than fly to others that we know not of”. Those fighting McCarthy simply should extract from him whatever concessions they can get, and then get behind him.
We need to pray for God’s wisdom and protection in this precarious situation.
Obviously, President Trump has seen much but learned little: We are stuck with McConnell due to a Trump endorsement. And who does he endorse now: McCarthy. One mistake: shame on them; two mistakes: shame on YOU President Trump.
Seeing reports this morning that President Trump has weighed in and is encouraging the 20 “dissidents” to support McCarthy?
I think that in doing so, he’s flushing a lot of support down his golden toilet.
I’ve gone from die hard supporter to fence sitter at best.
I’ve gone from die hard supporter to seeing Trump for what he is. His decision process must align with egotism. He thought he was smarter than the snakes in his midst, they devoured him and continue to do so. When Trump makes statements it is like Mr Olympus, because he is incapable of admitting he was played. Each time he attacks a DeSantis, or makes a stupid statement regaurding his base, he breaks off larger and larger limbs on his tree. Eventually he’s without limbs standing atop railing at the 4 winds.
it has always been this way. i always gave him a pass.
but right now, I am in no mood for consensus or caucus. I’m in the mood to burn this MFer to the ground.
Attacks DeSantis? Nope, I’m fine with that- DeSantis keeps friends with murky creatures and flaunts the money they send him. He deserves what he gets.
Good analysis and I totally agree Trump is a divider. People love him or hate him. He will be blamed for the vaccine deaths and injuries. I personally blame him for the lockdowns that have forever changed our country. I remember March 2020 well. I could not believe how easily people gave up their freedoms . We will never recover. I feel we have no leaders to help us get out of the mess of the OBiden administration. Only God will help us if we turn to Him, get on our knees and ask for forgiveness. Until then our country will continue to spiral down the tube.
“I could not believe how easily people gave up their freedoms.” Did Trump cause all of us to bow down to all that? In the beginning the entire world population was alarmed and nursing homes were a mess.
It began to be evident that something was stinking when the Hospital Ship rolled into NYC harbor and there were no patients.
I must say what my mother-in-law survived was not nice, easy, or made up. She was practically dying from COVID or it’s cousin.
Blaming PDJT for the lockdowns is not taking facts into account.
He was pressured to make lockdowns national and he did NOT.
he was also instrumental in getting everywhere to OPEN up again as soon as possible….those who lean or are full-blown Leftists were in charge where the lockdowns were imposed and kept in place over the long term…..anyone not aware of this is ignorant
william, did you see Jeb Bush standing with DeSantis yesterday….that Bush family is a real collection of snakes. I would say that most of us making bold arm chair statements today could not be elected dog catcher or sit on a County Executive Committee or City Council with success. We are dumb to how politics works. Trump has had to learn a lot!!!
The “battle” for the Speaker is all theater. It was long ago decided.
Trump just said not to waste time in a skirmish – move on the battleground.
“we ought to be fighting Mitch McConnell and his domineering, China loving BOSS, I mean wife, Coco Chow”
would anyone like to weigh in on how this Mc will fight that Mc, given their track record so far?
sorry but thats BS.
Oh, and that is after he endorsed McConnell, had his wife in his cabinet…now we need to fight him? A bit late. Sorry, I was hesitant about this rebellion at first but now that I see the 20 are serious I am loving it, and them more, and PTrump less. Will he ever learn?
His support from me is dying pretty quickly. For the last week I have received at least 7 emails a day from Trump orgs and had requested they stop during the midterms. I still unsubscribe to each but the never stop. May have to after 30 plus years get a new email addy. Sick of it all.
Those aren’t coming from Trump…
She said Trump orgs, not Trump, so I think she knows. Her point, if I understand correctly, is her support for Trump is waning rapidly.
Well I also got way too many emails and texts but I just pretty much ignored them because I knew they weren’t actually from PDJT.
Since the new year I’ve unsubscribed and so far the number has gone WAY down. This does not affect my support for PDJT one whit.
But her non-support should be based on something substantial – not emails that are not even coming from him. What has concerned me is his attack on people in his base who are fighting against abortion. He will definitely lose people if he keeps that up. There are many Christians who are against abortion and I thought he had changed his mind on that too. But I guess not – big mistake in my view.
Don’t give up your email address… I made a rule to immediately sort anything from Trump organizations into a “Trump Junk” folder. Periodically I go and delete them all, but they no longer bother me on a daily basis.
It can swirl with his support of HIS El Jabbo
Here is his TS page. He did not call them out as 20 or dissidents.
https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump
Trump continues his self-sabotage. Didn’t he hear the tape of McCarthy undermining him on Jan 6?
President Trump is going to lose half his base on this one. This doesn’t bode well for him, especially given propensity to pick backstabbing pos.
Despite us being tuned into this fight, most of his supporters are not.
I see Beauty in the Big Ugly.
Ugly indeed…but one that has to happen . A hill to die on.
How do we all think Congress will deal with the upcoming debt ceiling with McCarthy as Speaker?
That is why this is such a big deal.
Congress will do what Blackrock and the Fed tell them to do.
And wouldn’t it be nice if Trump stayed out of it?
Sessions, Barr, Bolton, Pompeo … the list is endless, and his continuing endorsement of McCarthy reminds us all that it is still open ended.
The fact that President Trump has yet to realize that he SHOULD stay out of it speaks volumes to me. I am done
I can still remember Bill Bennett saying he would leave the GOP after Pat Buchanan won the New Hampshire Primary in 1996 despite those accurate polls (sarcasm) saying he would come in 5th or 6th. At the time I said “good riddance and thank you for exposing yourself”
I wish I had some of the videos from the 96 campaign and Buchanan visiting the shoe manufacturing that was in NH at that time, and his speaking with the workers there and our fellow Americans expressing concerns about their losing their jobs to NAFTA & the WTO that Bennett & the rest of the Uniparty traitors had passed (Newt’s NAFTA) and the upcoming WTO and there support of Buchanan & MAFA. How right those poor American workers and Buchanan were, and how wrong and what a traitor Bennett & Gingrich the rest of the Uniparty were. Looks like we had a redux with Ryan, McConnell & Co backstabbing PDJT & MAGA
I lived in Seattle during the very first WTO riot in 1999…back when “Antifa” was protesting against Clinton et al allowing China access to world markets when their record of human rights abuses were well known and universally condemned.
Now look at us, 20+ years later and MILLIONS of good paying American jobs lost, our border in shambles, our county dependent on China for food, electronics, and medication…and now Antifa is out protesting against US, wearing Nikes and carrying iPhones, made by the very slave labor they supposedly cared so much about?
Pat Buchanan, Ross Perot, and Ron Paul look smarter every day, don’t they?
I agree. I used to have a lot of respect for Bennett but lost it years ago. Sad.
Grow the 20
Just do it or burn it to the ground . Makes no difference at this point .
Sounds like the rebel force intends to nominate the unexpected for speaker – likely PDJT.
That is, if they can prevent McCarthy’s GOPe from trying to adjourn.
@realDonaldTrump

Excuse me Mr . President, what is the definition of insanity ?
Ssssh. It’s just 4D chess. Q told me. /s
Chip Roy laying it out for Jordan.
Zeldin as the ‘compromise’ House Speaker choice.
I’ll take BETTER THAN McCARTHY for $100, Alex.
Ocasio Cortez has stated that they need to formally a coalition and work with Republicans.
Looks like the swamp is gonna pull out all the strings today.
This country is done.
You ain’t voting your way out of this mess.
Your gonna have to shoot your way out.
I’ve been saying that for over two years.
Me too
MTG and Boebert should nominate Trump.
MTG has left the reservation. She is now McCarthy’s b.
Yes unfortunately she is still fibbing about the 20.
And now on the Kirk show, she is blathering about things she dreams the Congress can do, despite the fact of the Omnibus which means all of her wishes (all of which sound great, no question) could never happen – and also WOULD never happen with McCarthy at the helm.
MTG has been bought at this point.
All this brings to mind a guy that the majority of CTH readers were not very found of.
The honorable “cry baby “
John Boehner.
What a piece of work he was.
McCarthy thinks he has got this
He lies! They are NOT serving this country!!!!
MTG has been a huge disappointment in siding with the swamp. Is she being blackmailed or just want a front seat in the Uniparty?
Sundance tweeted something inferring that McCarthy and MTG were, eh, close and that MTG was recently divorced.
Wow.
won’t Frank get jealous?
She is getting special benefits from McCarthy.
Frank(s)?
Promises.
But what’s the deal with McCarthy living with Frank Luntz? Is that a closet relationship?
More like sitting on Kevin’s lap.
it may be a seat at the kids table, but its still part of the club. it was too much to pass up.
I think she was asked if she wanted the swattng to continue, and told how really sad it would be if her call blew all to h311 with her in it.
She’s from GA after all.
Well that would be a slightly less nauseating motivation for selling out.
There is no explanation for practically ALL of DC R politicians being compromised other than 1) bribes, 2) blackmail, 3) threats of violence.
Probably applies to some of the Dims as well.
.
She sides with Trump.
.
Some hate corruption but can’t recognize when they are being corrupted.
There is little that I wouldn’t give for a chance to “give” Mr. McCarthy that gavel, again and again and again.
You mean, like a “Paul Pelosi hammer”?
What?!?
Too soon??
Well, I do think its time for SUNDANCE to lock this down. and stop the irrelevant gossip and comments that are so beneath this decision.
All of this makes me realize that our country is down the toilet and the Communists will soon shut us all up.
Fox hosts are pearl clutching, declaring this a catastrophe, an embarrassment, reprehensible. I hope the 20 hold the line because I’m not the least worried about this process unfolding.
Who care what Uniparty/Fux News thinks. Ryan holds them hostage anyways.
Newsreaders pearl clutching over this is laugh out loud ridiculous.
I bet they never call what Brandon has done to our country a catastrophe, embarrassment, or reprehensible.
The border is a catastrophe.
The entire Biden family is an embarrassment.
The covid “vaccine” mandates are reprehensible.
I pray the 20 stay strong and stay in the fight!!
We are a Republic moran
There is a plethora of options on Rumble. FYT.

And on CFP and on Gettr.
Three fourths of the country want new leadership
McCarthy has done squat to get the majority
REP Gallagher/WI sure does nice work on his knees. Someone should get him some chapstick.
I see President Trump has rekindled his endorsement of McCarthy after some good discussions. And then he apologized that his endorsement of McConnell was the thing that got him elected and he has been an embarrassment ever since. Sounds like a non-endorsement to me. Politically necessary but hedged for a better outcome.
In one breath, Trump gives advice. In his next breath, he says his advice was bad, but it’s not his fault. Trump didn’t start MAGA. He articulated the sentiment into a movement. Now, he is killing the movement with partisan advice.
Sadly, Trump is drawing red lines in the sand that are counter intuitive.
The steady promotion of McCarthy seems out of touch with his values and his base. And the non apology (or at least reconsideration ) and continued defense of his Vaxx beliefs factoring in new data since he left office.
Maga has to sustain itself and grow by transcending individuals, as a value system unto itself. Trump was the Moses, but it takes more to get to the promised land.
imagine drawing a red line when we lost our vote.
Funny….I haven’t seen that plan of McCarthy’s
you have to vote for him first, then you can see the plan.
☺
if it weren’t for McCarthy and McDaniel and McConnel there would be huge majorities in both houses. I hope men and women of principle are not deterred today.
Excellent and so true.
I just contacted the DC office of Jake LaTurner who is my 2nd Congressional District of KS rep. He is voting for McCarthy and I told the staffer “James” that if LaTurner continued to support the RINO McCarthy, I would do everything possible to get him OUT of office! I donated $1000 to his campaign and will NEVER again if he continues to vote RINO!
GOOD FOR YOU.
I Have to DO MORE to Get Rep. Mrvan IN-1 OUT !
I have been doing the same to mine. Emails and phone calls. He has just disappointed me 4 times now, and he just started the job.
Same with 17th Dist of Florida Rep Greg Steube. Told him to stop voting for McCarthy or he loses my vote. Everyone should be at least emailing their reps.
Well, that didn’t happen
The crystal ball have swamp slime all over it. Hard to see through.
Don’t understand what PDJT is doing here. I can give MTG a break for following his lead.
Any concessions by McCarthy need to go well beyond committee assignments or there is no justification.
Weird that the Dems would nominate a first timer
Jordan is not going to be the Speaker. He is willing to sell out for a cherry committee chair seat. Hope I’m wrong, but after watching the games that are played in DC for over 50 years, I have a somewhat jaundiced view of the majority of “elected leaders” in Con-gress.
Somewhat jaundiced = totally cynical.
oh for cryin’ out loud –
his precious?
It’s Trafficante Time:
“Beam Me Up, Scotty!”
Chip Roy nominates Byron Donalds again for Speaker.
Is this their consensus candidate that they will push firward from now on?
I think it is a counter against Jefferies.
Donalds would be fine with me.
Bannon War Room with
Ralph Norman:
There will be more than 20 NO votes next time around.
(8:54)
https://rumble.com/v23vhsy-ralph-norman-there-will-be-more-than-20-no-votes-next-time-around..html
They have picked up no votes each time.
I think the threats and calls from constituents are growing the nos.
They see that w/ McCarthy and those pushing him (including Dems like AOC now speaking out) it’s no different than with Pelosi. If they are threatening now- imagine what they will do once McCarthy is the speaker. They must see this, and any smart person will back away from McCarthy.
They held another vote and McCarthy lost 12.
Looks like 9 for Byron Donalds now that he’s been nominated.
The idiot talking head on RAV right now is saying “maybe the 4th vote” will be the charm for McCarthy. 😆
I guess I kind of enjoy the sausage…
Whoops that 9 for Byron not yet confirmed…
GOOD!!!!
This demonstrates the fact that the average joe has virtually NO friends in DC. Red team, blue team, nearly all are in it for themselves and their supporting ‘interests’. Until the electorate wakes up and withdraws support from the den of thieves (economics, liberty) that is Washington, NOTHING will change regardless of who is Speaker or controls the chamber. As for the ex-President, he can say what he wants but he’s not feeling the real pain of the average American. NOBODY in DC or most of the state capitals are ‘suffering’………
It has to start somewhere. Might as well be here.
But let’s not forget how we ended up with Paul Ryan.
https://www.outsidethebeltway.com/paul-ryan-now-has-a-clear-path-to-become-speaker-of-the-house/
Hot dang! Chip Roy is nominating Byron Donalds.
Works for me.
Ironically I just called his office earlier asking him to switch his vote from McCarthy. 😆
Yes, this could all end up kabuki – I acknowledge that – but for today, its definitely kind of fun…. for a change…
Woah! Nice move. I get the warning not to be emotionally invested in an OUTCOME. But this is a PROCESS we should all want to see, and it’s fun to watch. The rebels are launching moves and countermoves, doing their level best to navigate the swamp, knowing what they’re up against. The only way to push through is to push through. Whatever happens – truly whatever happens – this has been worthwhile. I mean, what’s the alternative, to forever concede in advance?
Rep Chip Roy – JUST NOMINATED Rep BYRON DONALDS FL19 ( AN OUTSIDER )
I don’t know anything about him.
I’m pretty sure I heard him interviewed by somebody at some point and he was solid grassroots America First.
I would like to know a lot more, for example, who are his donors.
I’m sure sundance is on the case… Just searched CTH for any mention of him but found none (has to be in an article title, seems like).
did not know he is Pelosi house slave!
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Congressman Kevin McCarthy has been elected to California’s new 20th Congressional District,
that is my old stomping grounds and is one of the most conservative areas of the conservative area of CA……btw CA has MORE conservatives than any state but TX
It is refreshing to watch Gaetz, I’m sure we will hear much more from him. He is a leader.
McCarthy is swamp scum. He will give away whatever it takes to dispose of these 20 including making deals with them or with the donkeys to get the votes needed for the Uniparty’s predetermined outcome. He already moved into the office.
Trump knows that. This is all theater.
I hope Byron Donalds is the one.
I don’t know how well he would do at raising money….
But he was recruited by Trump, is America Furst, and the best darn statesman up on the Hill!
Godspeed, Donalds, Godspeed!
One fun thing about Byron Donalds is that his bio says that he was born in Crown Heights. Hakeem Jeffries represents part of Crown Heights.
My sense of humor may be a bit warped but I think that is a special dig although not the point of the nomination.
I wonder if this “speaker” debacle is being orchestrated to cover up / mask all the crimes being exposed from Twitter? The twitter story is getting completely buried.
No it isn’t. Tucker’s been covering it pretty thoroughly. He has a big audience.
