I keep saying the 2024 GOP nomination is going to be fun because this is an epic Wall Street -vs- Main Street battle that needs to be done. The conniving republican political class are openly wearing their anti-working-class uniforms now. Despite their efforts to remain hidden, and thanks entirely to their hubris, they are glowing.
The primary contest in 2024 is going to be epic, because this time the MAGA scruffnecks will, for the first time in years, clearly see who the enemy within the republican ranks really are. This makes them so much easier to defeat, and also explains why the professional managers behind Ron DeSantis are desperate to keep his alignment hidden.
Emerson College Polling has a granular poll out today [DATA HERE] & [Cross Tabs Here] that highlights some really interesting stuff. First, amid GOP voters Liz Cheney at 4% is beating Ted Cruz (3%), Nikki Haley (3%) and Larry Hogan (1%) for the 2024 GOP nomination. How funny is that?
I mean it’s funny as hell when you look at it from the position of Nikki Haley and the detached billionaires that are going to have to fund her. We’re just not into you Nikki. LOL.
Also, I mean, c’mon, ya gotta laugh. Imagine being one of the former 2016 members of Team Ted Cruz and seeing the insufferable Liz Cheney beating him in current 2022 polling… Seriously, ROFLMAO. Yer’ killing me. I mean could the Cruz Crew pick a winner or what? Too funny.
Even better are the ways Emerson uses the demographics of the poll to explain the political alignment and who the typical supporters are for President Donald Trump (55%) -vs- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (25%). The Emerson polling data nails the demographics perfectly.
(Emerson) – […] Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling noted, “There is a stark education divide among Republican primary voters. A 71% majority of voters with a high school degree or less support Trump in 2024 whereas 14% support DeSantis.
A 53% majority of those with a college degree, some college, or associate’s degree support Trump while 28% support DeSantis. By contrast, Republican voters with a postgraduate degree are most split: 32% support Trump, 29% support DeSantis, and 18% support Mike Pence for the Republican nomination.”
Kimball added: “There is also an age divide in the Republican primary: younger voters under 50 break for Trump over DeSantis 67% to 14%, voters between 50 and 64 break for Trump 54% to 32%, while Republicans over 65 are more split: 39% support Trump and 32% DeSantis.” (read more)
So, President Trump wins every demographic, but to see what groups leans more favorably toward Ron DeSantis it looks like this:
DeSantis Voters – Older, over educated, wealthy, Wall-Street, non-working, investment class, predominately white, left-leaning republicans with delicate sensibilities. The more of each of these attributes the person carries, the more likely they are to support DeSantis.
Trump Voters – Younger and middle-aged, multi-racial, working-class, hardcore, Main Street, paycheck earners. ie. the middle-class. The more of each of these attributes the person carries, the more likely they are to support President Trump.
It doesn’t get much more easily defined.
Trump is defined by Main Street. DeSantis is defined by Wall Street.
That demographic data shows the pattern analysis of exactly what is going on.
It doesn’t matter how many candidates line up in the non-MAGA political lane; they are all coming from the same cocktail class circuit.
Here comes the kicker…. As more people find out about the management operation of Ron DeSantis, that has been happening in the background, the more DeSantis will bleed support back toward MAGA.
Think of this in realistic terms. Team MAGA is running on authenticity and honesty. Team DeSantis has to run on duplicity and continual defense to keep people from finding out about the inauthentic and dishonest nature of the operation.
Ask yourself, which team would you rather be on?
Within that answer you discover why this campaign is going to be so much fun.
We have nothing to hide. They have everything to hide.
We can admit every downside because the ultimate goal is pure. They must deny every downside because the ultimate goal is duplicity.
We have nothing to lose that we haven’t already lost. They have everything to lose in their effort to retain power.
Truth is a powerful weapon, and no one uses that weapon better than Donald J Trump.
Yes, I’m smiling at how easy it is going to be for President Donald Trump to trigger them.
.
Well, if Liz doesn’t get the nomination, she has her stunning beauty to fall back on.
I love that CTH readers don’t need the /s
Boy! That old sad sack face of hers is really a pick me up when you’re down in the dumps! NOT!!!😊
Double bagger, in case the first bag breaks!
3 rubbers and a wetsuit.
That gal has a BIG back yard.
if she was haulin ass it’d take three loads.
Haven’t heard that term since high school back in the 70s. Priceless!!! Also so very fitting re Lez Cheney
Beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes clear through to the bone…
Another one from the 70’s
“She’s so ugly, she has to sneak up on a glass of water.”
Coyote ugly
Just what do you have against coyotes?
That’s not what Lindy meant. LOL
and turned around and backed up might not help.
Everytime I see her, I think of Admiral Mr. Rachel Levine…
OUCH! Now that’s bordering on cruelty!
Rear Admiral….
True, so stunning, so brave. Dick Cheney in drag is so hawt hawt hawt!
Liz would only be stunningly beautiful if we were all blinded by nukes. (Though I think Brandon might think of that as a plus to starting war with Russia.)
Lol!
Enduring beauty comes from the inside. Two strikes I’m afraid for Ms Cheney…
Snort funny!
Depends on the primary rules the GOPe lay down and the collaboration they establish with the MSM ‘moderators’.
Rinos, or Wallstreet Republicans, Country club, Rockerfeller Republicans are ,..funny, odd?
Unlike their Dem comrades, that have no problem BLATANTLY and OPENLY stealing the nomination away from their bases chosen candidate, Republican leadership, whatever you call them, have always tried to maintain the illusion of ‘fairness’ in how they conduct their primary process.
Mind you, they CHEAT like crazy, they just aren’t blatant and open about it, like the Dems.
For instance, even with DJT’s 2016 challenge, they didn’t resort to rule changes, and adding a bunch of “Superdelegates” the way the Dems did, after Carter.
Is that because there is some fundamental difference between Republican leadership and Democrat leadership?
I sure don’t see any.
So, perhaps it is a difference between Republican BASE, and Democrat BASE?
Dem leaders know their base ideologues aren’t going to leave them, no matter how blatantly they abuse them.
Whereas Repub leaders, on some level know the base puts a high value on fair play, accountability etc. and so has always known they had to operate by stealth?
The Republican establishment ARE democrats. The conservative positions on abortion immigration gun control and gay rights was BS. It was all a lie. Just like the lie that the democrats are pro worker and anti big business. We woke up. They are still clueless
The only rule they could have that would change the outcome of the debate is a rule that forbids President Trump to be in the debate. Once he is on the stage, it’s “whack-a-mole” time.
Hopefully there will be willing-to-share-what-goes-on ears in the upcoming GOP rules committee conflagration.
We do know what drives them and it is not what is best for US or our AMERICA.
I am older, retired, worked all my life, middle class, main street demographic and I unabashedly support Donald J. Trump. MAGA forever!.
Proud to be #90 in the “likes” dept.
In my book honesty always win!!
https://www.bitchute.com/video/4W5uA3GOKXyt/
Not sure if this will “take”–never tried to post a vid. But this is only 2 mins–of Dave Chappelle (not normally a fan) explaining Trump’s honesty– reminding us of how he told the truth about playin’ both sides, ’cause that’s how it’s set up– in the first debate…and blew people away.
Yes indeed!
It worked Fine , Vladdy !
Funny and Excellent 😊
Naughty Emerson has included Democrats posing as Republicans………Cheney got 1 vote? Ridiculous.
Yes, good point Dant. Surprised she still considers herself a Republican.
Perhaps is more that she considers Us Non-Republicans?
The R party has serious issues to say the least. Maybe they should run a generic Jan 6 insurrection candidate, sure to get in low double digits.
puzzled you are.
Perhaps the most eloquent yet succinct analysis that will ever be written about the GOP’dilemma. Just in time too because Sundance is finally getting his well deserved recognition in the national political discourse.
Sundance holds the lantern to the signposts for us to see.
Yes. God Bless and Protect Sundance.
One if by Main Street, two if by Wall Street…ride on through the night and call out MAGA milita
very well sed Liqueda vary well indeed
The Establishment Republicans have a real problem…they have to keep hating half of their base (MAGA), while trying to convince the other half (MAGA in the making) that they don’t hate them as bad. This really is quite funny 😆
Old Ron has a problem. The smart move is to wait.
He can’t do that because he has been packaged and “they” have stamped a “Best Before” date on his political career.
… He who runs away can live to run away another day…
Well, notice Cruz is still around, still grifting off the public teat, so predictions of Rons emminent demise may be premature.
He CAN run for POTUS in 2024, without stepping down as Governor, yes?
In which case, assuming he loses he remains Gov of Florida until term limited.
And he can make another run in 2028, and keep all the $ not spent in 2024, collecting interest.
He’s GOING to go for it, there is no “if”.
Where did all those “RDS fans” go, that were hammering us with comments?
They were on Townhall today, trashing Trump and extoling RDS. SAD. And it wasn’t Vespa. It was Scott Morefield, Salena Zito, George Mullen, others in recent days. WOW. Trump TDS really outs the pretenders!! They out themselves. GOOD!!!
It’s not that RDS can run for President in the general election…it’s that if he does he pulls off enough votes that PDJT cannot win. That’s been the real threat all along.
got smart
I remain a solid RDS fan as should every MAGA here. I fully support Trump in ’24 and will work and spend to see that happen.
But we all owe it to ourselves to admit that ’24 is still 2 years away and DJT’s candidacy is anything but assured.
Health is an issue. I’m 76 and in good health but time is ticking. Both of us will be 78 in ’24 and nothing is guaranteed at that age. I’d be a lot happier if DJT was a mite lighter of foot. Way too many of the clothing selections at good will are in the XXL sizes.
The dems are afoot with another Special Counsel who makes Mueller look like a Maga candidate by comparison. And the NY legal issues are increasing, not decreasing. DJT has proven to be Teflon so far but it’s a long and costly course with sand traps everywhere.
What I’m getting at is this. RDS has proven to be a very effective Maga governor. I want him to remain so until ’26.
But if Trump falls for any one of many reasons, RDS is the only viable backup that I see on the near horizon.
RDS is definitely the preferred Ryan/McConnell candidate of the moment. But so far, he himself has made no overt move against Trump and has openly supported and campaigned for/with Trump’s candidates, including those like Masters, Lake, and Zeldin that McConnell pulled money from.
Until RDS openly opposes a Maga goal, including a Trump repeat Presidency or the defeat of McConnel & McCarthy in DC, he will remain my #2 for ’24.
Yes, he could come out in open support of DJT ’24 and end all controversy …but, from his perspective, why would he do that? The longer he keeps the GOPe feeding him money, the less time and money they have to field alternatives. They certainly are not going to support Trump.
I’m still of the mind that RDS has no intention of a primary vs DJT …but is keeping his powder wet incase DJT drops out for any reason.
You hold onto to that theory, for what it’s worth.
RDS’ powder is wet due to the people from whom he takes money.
LOL! You haven’t truly lost it till you lose your sense of humor. Sundance is right, now this is getting just plain funny.
Except that the economy is in the tank and things are not getting better. Do we really have two years to await another steal???
This post about the Emerson poll is the only encouraging news I’ve seen in a long-long-long time.
H&,…
Respectfully, if thats the case, you just haven’t been paying attention.
I see all SORTS of encouraging news, and Sundance declaring “The Big Ugly” outright WAR between Mainstreet vs Wallstreet is on, is the best news, EVAH.
I have been spoiling for this fight, for YEARS.
The Wall street group are like stealth bombers; their strength is in their stealth; take that AWAY, and they are just another airplane, as vulnerable to AA fire as any other.
Actually MORE vulnerable, because they are designed and pilots are trained with the assumption of having stealth, and so they are terrible at evasive manuevers.
EVERY battle in which MAGA forces RINO to expose themselves and their true nature, is a victory for US, even if we take casualties.
So, J6 a victory for US, as RINOS said “let em rot in jail!”
2022 midterms, a victory for us as McCarthy were exposed, donating to MAGA opponents.
Cheer up, we WILL take more casualties, but poor mitch is BUCK NAKED, as are the rest of the effete elites.
Very well said.
🙂
I will second that comment 😀👍
🇺🇸💪😀👍
I was gonna say something…but I can’t steal a man’s thunder.😏
Perhaps I should of phrased my comment to say “…..the only encouraging news from other than this website….”
You do make valid points. The older I get, the less patience I have with dishonest politicos. The closer I get to 80, less patience is turning into raw unabated hatred and anger.
Have a great day…or night!
Now you know why it seems like WW3 and 4 , whatever, against PDJT’s run for the nomination and the election. The uniparty has read these polls and are going to DEFCON 12 , plotting in various subterranean locations in DC.
Me: Ancient, Ph.D, rich, retired, white, politics well to the Right of Sundance. No Wall Street, no investments.
My preferences: Trump #1, DeSantis #2 … everybody else can take a long jump off a short pier.
And the Emerson College pollster crew couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat.
Trump # 1, DeSantis no way in hell, I would chew my hands off, before using them to vote for Ron.
There IS NO #2, but in the future, there is a whole next generation coming;
MTG, KL, KK, etc.
And, a NEXT generation, after that. Cara Castranuevo, as an example. All of these MAGA candidates that ran in this midterm, win or lose; they all had STAFFS, and teams of volonteers.
Most with no previous experience in politics, and now deep ruby red MAGA.
THIS is where political parties get their next generation of politicians and party leaders.
I personally believe the MAGA movement has now passed that crucial point where it is SUSTAINABLE.
NOT that PDJT is by ANY means diminished, only that (as I think he fully intended) the movement has reached the point where it is self-sustaining, and will continue long after he, and frankly most of US, are gone.
Who’s KK? Right now Kari Lake is #2 for me.
Hey, I like that! Because I want someone who is not afraid to talk about Trump (who IS the party leader, even thoug the Republicans are trying to dance away from him! Unless you want to say biden won without
In today’s environment, that takes courage. Everybody’s bowing down to “thou shalt not talk about election fraud” — WHY? Because the dems don’t want you to? Why are all our politicians following their rules?
Darn it, I really need an “edit”– that was supposed to say “without campaigning,” of course.
Dutchman: I hope you meant Cara Castronuevo because Castranuevo has some “painful” connotations.
The establishment pitch lately is Trump dragged the REP Party down in mid-terms. So, they say no Trump in 2024 – he’ll destroy the party! They are right!!! Destroy their playground!! What they don’t get is the party is already destroyed! So go ahead had shiv Trump. 30 M Trump supporters will not vote, and throw it to the D’s – walk away and say “good riddance to bad trash!” They will then vote with their feet even more to the “Trump” states. As been happening in this “what recession” – Blue states are tanking, and red states mostly doing well. The only way to beat the backers of the D’s is to financially hurt them. Let them have their hell holes of Chicago, LA, Baltimore, Detroit, DC, NY, and now Atlanta. We need a movement to isolate the cancers – counties in those states vote to draw new lines by economic affiliation into adjacent states, or create a new state. No commuting to jobs across the LINE. Starve the beast, NO out of state companies or subsidiaries – live or die with YOUR state.
Larry Hogan is smoking some of Hunter’s crack if he thinks he has any chance at all to get elected into the White House.
And I’m speaking as a Maryland Republican. (Yes, we are an endangered species.)
🤣 🤣 🤣
Hogan, ha – Remember ex NY Gov George Pataki run in 2015 , neither does anybody else , except maybe his wife…
Not so in Md counties, just can’t beat 3 other counties & balto city.
I’m guessing Md has been cheating for many many years and until now nobody has questioned why the dems seem to win all the votes!
And Nan hails from Baltimore where her dad, involved with the mafia taught her well.
Used to be that way but take a look at the past 12 years of election results by county. The blatant 2008-2010 gerrymandering by the Democrat-controlled MD legislature royally screwed the Republicans and there is still no relief in sight.
Here is 2016 when Trump won:
Here is 2020:
Here is 2008:
Yeah, but he does poll higher than Kamala. Ugh.
He’s there for “comedic relief” only.
Well they failed again. He is anything BUT funny…
In all seriousness, I believe he has kept the most extreme radical DemonRAT ideas from becoming law but beyond that…not much. He mandated the covid lockdowns quickly but did ease up on them by late summer of 2020. It’s his overinflated ego that is way larger than Pres. Trump’s (but he lacks any justification for his ego, unlike PDJT who actually has some justification) that makes him so unlikeable.
Illusion of choice…..
Same here. No way in hell would I vote for our governor as president!!!
It’s called “the favorite son” gambit – Pence hurts Trump in Indiana, D’santis in Fla, Hogan in Md, Cruz in Tx, Haley in SC, Ernst in SD, Sununu in NH, etc. This approach is to confuse R’s and to get Trump below 50% in enough states. Also, want to atract D cross-overs in states where R’s allow “open” primaries under the guise of attracting all to the big tent (big scam).Try for a “brokered” convention.
PS. In Texas Cruz won’t even hit 1% – he is despised as a phony. Will be primaried next time. This is way too risky for Cruz to open himself this way, but … he’s not as smart as advertised. That is what today’s politicians are: Packaged – not authentic!
Yes, but only one candidate makes it through the Primaries and earns the Republican nomination.
When PDJT makes it past the primaries with the most votes I suspect the GOP might try a floor nomination at the Republican Nat’l. Convention to circumvent the primary results. They don’t care about the voters preferences. We citizens don’t have the $ trillions that the Fascist Corporate Oligarchs have and use to bribe and coerce our corrupt & subservient federal government.
We do have the numbers though. There are way more of us than Fascists in multinational corporate boardrooms. But will enough of us show up to protest? THAT is the unanswered question….
Ernst is IA, Noem SD.
So Liz Chaney is polling better among Rs in this survey than Kamala Harris was among Ds much later in the primary cycle leading up to 2020.
I’d say those that voted for Cheney still have their original Saddle Oxford shoes…Dick’s daughter wouldn’t steer them wrong.
“Larry Hogan (1%)”
Hogan’s Zero’s 🙂
I suspect some Democrats claimed to be Republicans and voted for Cheney. That’s why these polls are almost useless.
Worse than useless.
I wonder if the Dick Cheney necromancered John “Maverick” McCain into voting in the poll for his Daughter.
Because I’m pretty sure McCain’s hatred for Conservatives and Donald Trump was so strong as to defy death to vote for Liz.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum
Hoist the mainsail, here I come
Ain’t no room on board for the insincere
You’re my witness
I’m your mutineer – Warren Zevon got it right; there is no room for the insincere.
According to the poll results and demographics, I should be supporting DeSantis.
I think I will pass.
ME too. Three college degrees, upper Mgt, and an entrepreneur. And 74 years of life experiences!
Me to! Doctorate, own business …husband Agricultre (soil science) managed enormous ranch then owned dairy farm.
I am 76 and husband 77. We retired on 20 acres of rock in S.E Arizona and at age 69 started planting orchard, now have 38 fruit trees and a pine forest. We will never give up. We would not consider anyone but Trump for President. Thank you Sundance for your insights.
pretty bad when you have two active traitors to the US, an illegal alien and an ineligible narcissistic ex-UN Ambassador on the list
They’re chosen to lose in 2024.
Tell me that I’m wrong with the ballot processes currently in play.
Regardless, it’s a lousy lineup for the Republican nomination excepting of course, PDJT himself.
Guess’s on who will drop out before they start,my gov will be first,Hogan.
When will the club elitists start changing the rules, a la Hillary, to prevent DJT?
That would be the end of them politically. They are already exposing themselves. That kind of rule change would collapse what little support they are still clinging to.
Think they’d still attempt it though.
Will they let Jack Smith (does that sound like an alias/phony or what?) “take Trump out” for them ?
And the two charges are both FBI set-ups. Now that’s corruption.
It’s so hard to gauge support among the white well educated people. It seems that most of advanced degree Republicans that I know aren’t huge fans (except for my husband – he loves the guy). But it might just be that a lot of President Trump’s fans are used to flying under the radar – that’s generally what my husband does. And the ones who don’t like him (the ones who may or may not have held their noses and voted for him) are very vocal about their distaste. Now that my husband works from home, I hear him talking to rich, well educated people on the phone all day long. It doesn’t seem too many of them are afraid to voice contempt for GEOTUS and his followers. As far as I can tell, there are exactly two rich, well educated outwardly Trump supporting guys that my husband regularly speaks with. Both are very rich, white and male and came up through the school of hard knocks (one from working class Irish, the other from working class Italian).
I’ve long thought that it’s the school of hard knocks that makes the difference. I’m white, male, wealthy, a Ph.D., with 40 years in the university faculty trenches. But I was also born and raised in the slums of east LA, and could not believe the self-indulgent nonsense that passed for articulate thought as a student at UCLA, and later as a university faculty member on the Liberal Arts side of the divide. You have to live inside a peculiar kind of bubble not to become a conservative at some point in your life. Confirmation bias is as real as it is tragic.
Still waiting to see confirmation bias show up in the DSM…but of course it never will because it’s authored by leftists. 😂
I have three millennial children with college degrees and the oldest who is forty and his peers are very supportive of DeSantis. The younger two are heavy Trump supporters one will vote for DeSantis if he is nominee but the youngest said he would rather vote for Ye in protest.
My husband who is a college graduate, was VP for fortune 500 Co., CEO of manufacturing public held company and now owns his own business is for Trump or bust. His first time at the polls was to vote for President Trump (I did fill out a mail ballot for him in 2008). If President Trump is not on ballot he will not vote, he positively hates Politicians. I will write President Trump on ballot.
Boomers love DeSantis!
Not this Boomer!
Nope.
This Boomer says ..No!
And we don’t like being stereotyped.
Not this one, or hubby!
It seems a lot of Boomer hate out there when most of us were just doing what you are supposed to do.
I am Boomer and put loyalty as high value. DS betrayal. He would betray all people who vote for him.
C’mon now – DeSantis went to Harvard, Yale, and is a Skull’n Crossbones goof and you mean American’s aren’t excited to see him hanging out with Karl Rove, Paul Ryan, and Jeb Bush!?!?!? Say it ain’t so! Duh!
And Hogan – what an imbecile. Please, just stay away.
Skull and Bones would not have Top Gov.
I kinda’ think the best part of the show, may be that FJB has another 2 years to seal the deal for MAGA. Come on Joe, don’t “screw” this up! 😉
Who will go to their rallies?
Oh wait, policy stance, speeches, rallies don’t matter anymore. Go to sleep, have a stroke, stay in the basement. Don’t see how they will raise money from republicans.
They don’t care about small donors now. Citizens United cut loose the big corporates donors who now back both sides of the Uniparty vulture.
“Older, over educated, wealthy, Wall-Street, non-working, investment class, predominately white, left-leaning republicans with delicate sensibilities. The more of each of these attributes the person carries, the more likely they are to support DeSantis.”
Yet if they vote Trump, their investments gain coin.
Economic security is personal security.
Good GRIEF!
We just got rid of cheney, and it was a blowout. Do these people live in an opaque bubble?
To be in with the cool kids these day, you gotta have your own poll.
To be fair
Liz is my number 2 choice behind Trump.
Why?
Because if it’s not Trump,
It won’t matter what pile of dung they offer up !
Your right. If a ‘Potato Head’ can get the ballots to steal an election, they could offer up another potato head.
Emerson may get some right, but they missed me and everyone I know. Got a lot of highly educated wealthy friends voting Trump, as am I. Also have a lot of not as well educated friends and family, some very wealthy and some not…all different age groups..all voting Trump. Most of the people I know do NOT take surveys like this.
That was like a Babylon Bee headline!
👏 👏 😂 😂
What a MOTLEY CREW to draw to! No wonder the RNC is so weak! How about picking a Non Politician?
Elon Musk maybe…Help!
Musk is an establishment-created financier along the lines of Zuckerberg but ostensibly more conservative (he isn’t)…..he has an active mind with unique ideas but most would not launch without massive government funding as their foundation
Yesterday, the polls in Iowa said Trump was unfavorable, these polls are all BS, give it a rest.
‘As former president Donald Trump considers 2024 run, most Iowans now view him unfavorably, 52% of Iowans say their feelings toward Trump are very or mostly unfavorable – up from 45% in September 2021′
https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/iowa-poll/2022/10/26/iowa-poll-former-president-donald-trump-now-viewed-unfavorably-in-iowa-republican-party-gop/69562101007/
just 2 months ago wasn’t there a poll placing PDJT support in IOWA at 70+%?……what is the RAW data on this recent mystery poll?….all Dimm/commie/GOPe voters?
BS
The Des Moines Register wouldn’t publish a poll that was favorable for Trump if you paid them to do it. Unless you live in a small town in Iowa, like I do, you keep your head down and bypass the liberal assholes. All of our districts went Trump in 2020. Most of our Congress and Senate is Republican, along with a very good R Governor. Just last week my County’s Central Committee voted unanimously on a resolution
“With the direction of our country moving in a dangerous direction, it is vital for the leadership within the Republican Party to continue to represent our conservative views, which include trust, integrity and transparency,” the letter from chair Steve Everly said. “The current Republican leadership, within both the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives have proven to be weak in representing our values and beliefs.”
The letter asks the elected officials to “please hear our voice when we say we strongly and respectfully discourage a vote for Mitch McConnell, Senator (KY) and Kevin McCarthy, Representative (CA).”
“Instead, look to elect strong leaders who will represent the voice of the people and not their financial portfolios,” the letter concluded.
It was sent to all of our representatives in the US House and Senate.
People who profess their candidate is Pence, Chaney, Haley are never Trumpers, others I think are persuadable. But the real challenge is the ballots.
All true, except for one missing demographic.
Votes Vs Ballots
Real person Vs the printer. Wait a minute, let me stop the counting.
Hmm…Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck without a few hundred saved for an emergency – this is what most economists have claimed for years. Yet, the MSM used polls to claim abortion trumped the economy as the number one issue for many. I don’t believe it for a second that most people weren’t voting according to their wallet. They used this talking point to run cover for the voting shenanigans that handed senate seats to the dems. I am learning to trust my gut now over polls and MSM messaging.
Au contraire, the Dems worked on getting the 18 to 24 year old demographic out to cast ballots at a near-record high for a midterm election. The leaking of the Dobbs decision (and the stunt pulled by Miss Lindsey Grahamnesty), the Tik Tok campaign fronted by the Biden White House, the student loan forgiveness hook and the popularity of mail – in/dropbox voting also played a role in what happened earlier this month.
Yup, the RNC corporate elites couldn’t meet at a Budget Suites conference center……LOL!
Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort – sounds like they are using donations to pleasure themselves. How many of their small donors have ever been to such a place or even thought about going to such a place?
I’m sick to death of funding these people who have no idea or any empathy with what their voters want.
Be quiet you…they’ll tell you what you want. 😂
Yep, attempting to select our Presidential candidate for us again.
Good points made at National Pulse on this https://thenationalpulse.com/2022/11/22/head-don-or-ron-which-side-will-republicans-end-up-on/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=ae&utm_campaign=newsletter&seyid=33352
There is only one. 2024 is intrinsically connected to the steal of 2020 and all the political persecution that came before it. Those were deep, deep wounds to America and our system of government and it needs to be fixed, rectified, made right before we move on.
This is all Trump.
DeSantis’ time is not yet. We
Desantis’s time is never
Exactly right.
President Trump! ❤🙏
Emerson poll is COMPLETE nonsense. If you believe this, i have some real estate on mars to sell you. Couldn’t even read beyond the headlines. Must be a slow news day.
I am a 66 yr old female college educated that is 100% Trump but my brother – also 65+ with multiple college degrees (MBA) is probably for Desantis. Never bothered to look at the details of the election fraud. And of course got his COVID vaccines.
Do you have to see him on Thanksgiving??😬😜
“Imagine being one of the former 2016 members of Team Ted Cruz and seeing the insufferable Liz Cheney beating him in current 2022 polling… Seriously, ROFLMAO. “
——-
Now, to be fair Sundance, Liz is probably at 2% but also picking up an additional 2% from the Jeb! supporters …
Please clap. 😀
Don’t think so….
All those “GOPe’s” and those yet to come will do nothing but draw votes away from DeSantis not Trump
The only question left is how many pieces of the DeSanctimonious Pie will they have to carve up
Well, if you succeed in kicking those certain others out of the republican party and purge it of rich people, they still have the old reliable democratic party machine to help protect them since the democratic party has far more experience at this anyway. They will learn to live with it. The republicans were brought into the uniparty, not the other way around. So then, it truly will be the rich and the connected against the poor and powerless and the poor and powerless will get crushed as they always have. A lot of them gladly vote for getting crushed believing they are woke and/or helping to save the planet or any number of divisive issues that can be used to divide, impoverish, and conquer.
I vote we don’t have this battle and that the differences between Wall Street and Main Street can be worked out peaceably after the democrats and progressives in particular are crushed beyond recognition since they populate virtually every position within the federal bureaucracy and must be brought to heel first since it is they who control the corporations or often vice versa. The left already has most of the billionaire rich and famous class. The left controls by inhabiting every position within the bureaucracy under the appointed level even in republican administrations and it has been this way as long as the educational establishment has been, and unions have been around. And I don’t like the fact that it plays right into the narrative of the republican party being the party of Wall Street and fat cats which is not true nor ever has been since most of those types are democrats.
Here’s the problem and it has nothing to do with fake polls.
If Trump wins the nomination, there are many sore loser Republicans representing the GOPe that will just sit home in 2024 rather than vote for Trump. That is why he won’t win no matter who the Democrats nominate. Many don’t want to hear this nor what follows. The problem right now is that Trump is the leader of the MAGA movement and no one else is ready to assume that leadership. The GOPe is going to support only establishment candidates.
Because of this, I say that Trump should declare as an Independent America First party candidate. He won’t win as an Independent either, but the leadership of the GOP and their RINO supporters will be dead in the water after 2024’s election. We will have had our Republican civil war during the election and new MAGA leadership will return to the Republican party, sans RINOs. It will probably take another election in 2026 to eliminate the rest of the RINOs, but the process will be in full swing by 2024.
Sometimes you have to lose an election in the short term to make the party stronger in the long term. Another 4 years of socialist policies by the leftist Democrats who will be running things will turn the tide for Republicans by 2028. More people will have reached their boiling point and finally be ready for real change. It’s just too bad the country has to suffer for another 4 years.
I think there will be more Never trumps that will pull the lever for Trump over Biden in secret than won’t those that won’t vote at all.. Conservatives aren’t stupid liberals after all.
as the country moves towards oblivion and the economy takes on the appearance of a 3rd world nation more POCs will migrate to a candidate who has SHOWN and PROVEN he has the answers and knows how to work them….this is apocalyptic for the Uniparty as they need those “guaranteed” votes for a continued hold on power……when reality slaps you upside the face sometimes you decide you have to change direction
PRESIDENT TRUMP is the candidate that can beat ANY challenger, in a valid election. The concern again is voting fraud and Big Tech chicanery. Who do the demoncrats have that is a viable candidate for 2024???
Michelle is a viable candidate as anyone who votes against her will be labeled as a racist. Independents (Independents decide the election) don’t want to be labeled racists, so they’ll vote for the America-despising racist.
You made a valid point, but he/she/it carries a lot of baggage from her previous comments, and IMESHO, has zero credibility and no public appeal. I believe that the actual, living Independent voters would avoid going to the polls, but don’t know what the dead voters would do. I’m an Independent, but if PRESIDENT TRUMP wasn’t running, that would just be another election where I vote against a “candidate”.
Nobody will know who they voted for unless they tell them.
Firstly, it’s a secret ballot. ‘Vote for me or you’re a racist’ doesn’t really work when it’s a secret ballot. Secondly, just watch Michelle campaign. As soon as we get down to brass tacks the voters will discover that Michelle Obama really is nothing more than Kamala Harris 2.0
Michele won’t leave her comfy mansions to work that hard. Hillary would but she’s nuts anyway.
Democrats don’t need a viable candidate. Look at Fetterwoman. Stupid people will pull the lever for Dems no matter how bad the candidate is. It is religion to them.
Fetterman. When Dems only vote for Team Blue and can continue to harvest votes in states Trump needs to win in, it doesn’t matter whom the Dems nominate.
The problem is that the Republican party is not made up of just conservatives. Do you think Kristol, Frum, and a host of others are really conservatives?
you are referencing the inner swamp swimmers not the republican party voters so that’s like comparing apples to oranges.
You are naive if you don’t think these people and their followers vote.
I used to read their agit-prop and no longer do, because they have been exposed. I think you give them too much credit.
And you’re naive if you think their followers count as any significant voting bloc. They’re a small group of DC insiders who staff the Think Tanks, the pro-war lobby and who make up most of the staff at Fox News. The Trump/MAGA base make up most of the Republicans in the country
Liz Cheney lost re-election in her primary by 40 points. Would have lost by an even greater margin had Democrats not switched their voter registration to prop her up knowing how hated she is by the Republican base
Of the ten Republican representatives who voted to impeach Donald Trump, only two managed to get re-elected. Four of them were successfully primaried and four of them didn’t even have the courage to face the voters.
The party is largely progressive on both sides of the “what the party should be” isle.
They just argue about what branding of progress we need.
Conservatives are rare as hens teeth and being one makes you often unpopular in most every political circle.
That’s because most politicians are actually losers. They don’t know how to run a business, do anything of any real value because they’re LOSERS.
They have to do politics, because at heart, they’re just inferior people, grifters.
We’re better off without them.
The problem for the uniparty is that conservatives are the most of the nation even if not admitted.
Look at Nixon in ’72. Everyone hated Nixon and I mean everyone, but
the “headline” in the December ’72 issue of National Lampoon (lovable left wing rag that had PJ O’Rourke as one of its head writers) says it all. “Nation engulfed in giant Nixon landslide…only DC and Massachusetts spared”.
This isn’t 1972. We’re 50 years past that and the country is more divided today than ever before. There was no “progressive” wing of the Democrat party in 1972. As much as the press hated Nixon, the press back then hardly had the influence on voters that it does today.
I will say this, though, and you do have a point. Here are two paragraphs from the Republican Party Platform of 1972. Substitute 2024 for 1972 and Trump for Nixon and Trump could run with this same language.
“This year the choice is between moderate goals historically sought by both major parties and far-out goals of the far left. The contest is not between the two great parties Americans have known in previous years. For in this year 1972 the national Democratic Party has been seized by a radical clique which scorns our nation’s past and would blight her future.
We invite our troubled friends of other political affiliations to join with us in a new coalition for progress. Together let us reject the New Left prescription for folly and build surely on the solid achievements of President Nixon’s first term.”
There was no Progressive wing of the Democratic party in 1972 because they ousted them into the Republican party in the 1950s post WWII and post great progressive age.
Afterwards the progressive defectors got real busy redefining the word “conservative” from “constitutional” to their new definition of “religious”.
In the meantime the Dems rebranded their version.
Now we have two progressive factions fighting over who’s brand sucks less.
Actual constitutional conservatives (all 8 of us, it seems like) are rolling our eyes and telling both sides off.
This!!! I make it nine of us though, LOL.
Are you mad? The press had way more influence on the voters back then than it does today. It’s because of the press’ influence and credibility that Nixon was even ousted in the first place. There was very little, if anything, tying Nixon to the Watergate cover-up and it’s debatable that what little there was would even constitute criminality. But you’d never know it if you read the Washington Post
There was no internet back then. There was virtually no independent media back then. There was no social media back then. Television only had three networks, there was no streaming, no cable TV with like five million channels. So mainstream media pretty much had a captive audience, and if the television networks and the newspapers wanted to push a narrative it would be months or years before the truth was exposed, if it ever was. The vast majority of the public still believe the Germans sank the Lusitania for no reason.
Even worse, what the mainstream media had back then that they don’t now is credibility. Mainstream media back then was Cronkite, and all the credibility that comes with him. Mainstream media now is whatever shrieking talking head they put on at MSNBC or CNN.
The reason that Nixon won a landslide in spite of this is that America was a much less demoralised nation back then.
Biden??!!@*&^
Biden isn’t running in 2024! The leftist morons are already warming up Newsome.
Newsom polls terribly. Rich Baris polled him and said that frankly it was a waste of time and money to do so. Plus he covered up for Harvey Weinstein even after Weinstein allegedly raped his wife, so I imagine he won’t be too popular with his fellow regressives
🎯
Biden won’t be in office too much longer. The press has received their marching orders and are covering Hunter Biden’s laptop. The big guy will be out before 2023 is over.
After January.
Then they can foist their dictatorship onto us for 10 years.
Biden is the Obamas’ placeholder until they return to the White House in January, 2025.
LOL. You would have thought in the midterms it would have been, “the economy, stupid”, but no, they dredge up the abortion issue and millenials and liberals all vote Democrat.
President Trump is doing just fine. He is exposing the left and the wall street rinos. Going 3rd party will just erode his chances. The only thing that Trump needs is for the elections to be fair.
YOU Really need to buy a new crystal ball; this one has too many cracks in it.
Won’t work. It will split the vote (think Ross Perot, whom I voted for) in 1992.
thats the point – think as if people are conspiring to kill you
No conspiracy, Whiteboard…They are trying to kill us.
Besides, we will not be able to collect enough ballots to win nor create enough Phantom/Ghost voters to win.
You also have to add-in the EXTREME hate almost all Democrats and RINO have for Trump even though I agree Trump is the ONLY individual who can stand up to the onslaught that he’s been under – You Ain’t seen nothing yet! It’s about to get really nasty.
Never trumpers wont be what loses it. It will be the very dumb very lazy state republican parties that let the election get stolen.
They are not dumb. I mean they scammed you and the rest of the populous with open fraud and they are still counting their votes enjoying their freedom and fraud.
IMHAO, the state Republican parties are a mess because there is no support from the RNC, especially in blue & purple states. And you can thank the 3 Macs–Ronna McDaniel, McCarthy & their anti-MAGA CRONIES–for that.
Apparently, the 3 Macs feel that THEY’RE the only ones who can pick winners in state & federal elections. All others will get no help from the RNC.
Nope. If your scenario is accurate the Dems will pull so much fascist crap that our only way back to liberty will be war. That’s the worst possible outcome. God help us if you’re right.
There will not be an election after 24 if maga loses
If he were younger…
The man is on the clock. He has things to do. A Country to save. He does not have the luxury of the time to set up a National Party in all 50 states.
We don’t have the luxury of waiting for him to righten the ship.
We are NOT going to vote our way out of this.
Bullets are quicker and cheaper.
Torches, pitchforks, tar and feathers?
My own thoughts….the American voter is lazy and too overwhelmed at the complexity of politics because it intrudes into life if one truly wants to understand it all. Note that complexity does not equate with difficulty…rather it is time consuming and you need a spread sheet and score card.
Re Obama care…remember the dipwad out of MIT who offensively called the American voter dumb? No, not dumb, but busy and again I refer to the complexity of issues that many find overwhelming with limited time…and then those that can’t be bothered. If those two qualities define dumb, then ok, ‘dumb’ it is.
The complexity, lying cheating and stealing is in place for a reason…incremental socialism, which has a name…Fabian Socialism…that old frog in the pot with the water temp slowly being increased until the dude is cooked.
The overall populace has not felt enough pain yet…I think by 2028. they will, if its not too late. We lived thru that with Obama and his reign of terror.
What scares me more…the hints of Bribem having dementia…if really true…his days are numbered and won’t probably live out a second term, given the progression of the disease. My other thoughts lead me to some sort of ailment that requires frequent treatment in Delaware..
We are experiencing Fabian Socialism on steroids.
That would be three election losses in a row if you count the failed red wave mid-terms. What happened after the first two losses, whether legit or not? Nothing. What will be different after the third loss? Nothing?
I am 69 with 2 post graduate degrees, irrevocably support Trump, as does my 65 year old lawyer/nurse wife. The reason the MSM, RINOs, Dems and swamp are in such a tizzy of anti-Trump rhetoric is that he is the one candidate they fear most in the general election.
After all that you explain that you think needs to happen Ron…you are assuming we would still have a country. You give these Nazis 4 to 8 more years and we will think the America we used to know was only a dream! You also don’t seem to understand that we are in a war! You don’t win wars by sitting back and waiting for what you hope for to happen. If DJT is willing to go through all the insane crap that he brings on himself and his family for us and this country…then we need to get our rear ends behind him! NOW! Not after the uniparty is gone and rhinos have disappeared. That’s not going to happen without someone like DJT going at them the way he does….its us through him. As he has said….they are really out to get us…..he just stands in their way! What part of that does people not understand. The plandemic? The jab? The lockdowns? The woke crap! The grooming and indoctrination of our kids….sorry..can’t wait for 4, 6, 8 years for this.
You propose national suicide. The independents added if Trump runs as a Republican will far outweigh the Trump haters that stay home.
This plan needed to be implemented many election cycles ago. It wasn’t. I don’t have a lot of faith that it will be tried now.
Firstly, it doesn’t matter whether or not the GOPe throw a hissy fit and refuse to vote for Trump if he wins the nomination because the RINO Neocon forever wars contingent of the GOP has absolutely no base.
Secondly, Trump running as Independent would only end up screwing himself over. The GOPe really don’t care if they burn the party down so long as they get to be king of the ashes, which they will be if they successfully screw over Trump (again) or force him to go third party
