Nerves are on edge as the police in/around Moscow, Idaho, admit today the person or persons who murdered four University of Idaho students is still unknown.
In the early morning hours of Sunday four students were stabbed to death in their off-campus residence. Media descriptions of the scene are gruesome in the extreme as blood was reported to be oozing from the floor and building.
The victims (pictured left) are Ethan Chapin, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, who police say were attacked with an “edged weapon” likely a knife.
All four victims were killed by stabbing. There were two other people in the house who did not hear anything and are not suspects.
According to Fox news, Police have not recovered a weapon or publicly identified a suspect in the quadruple homicide, which has shaken the small town of 25,000 people. (more)

The house was off-campus. Firearms perfectly acceptable there. Doesn’t mean they had them, but it was not in a “No Gun Zone.”

Ditto Texas. There are carve-outs but guns are permitted on a majority of places on public university campuses.
UT faculty and department heads threw a fit with legalized open carry. I took the CCL course just because I thought it necessary. Gun use scenarios must be thought out ahead of time.
The University of Idaho allows concealed carry with an enhanced license. Since this occured off-campus, Constitutional carry laws were in effect.

The young man is white, wearing a gray hoody under a dark colored jacket. As the girls go to the food truck he puts a ball cap on, pulls hood over the cap, and stands back away from the girls. It looks like he’s not with them, and they’re not with him. He seems suspicious. Is he stalking the girls? Or did he cross the street with them? Sorta?
From 1:27 to 6:18 -nearly five minutes- one of the girls has her head down, immersed in her cell phone. Sure, she was around other students, knew some of them, but it’s a bad idea for any college girl to have her face stuck in her cell for 5 full minutes on a sidewalk at night.
From 6:18 to 10:08 (vid end) the white male talks and laughs with a large heavyset guy, right behind/next to the girls. Notice the white male gestures to the girls, then the heavyset man gestures to them, and seems to say a few words. The girl in pink -staggering throughout the video- gestures back to the men, and also seems to say a word or two. No further conversation or gestures takes place after this.
Both girls leave the scene and go off camera while the white male is turned towards the heavy set guy, talking. When the heavyset man tells the white male the girls have left, the white mail shrugs his hands, then walks in the direction the girls went.
Whether the white male has involvement in the crime isn’t known. He appears just another college kid hanging out on a crisp night with other college kids. He didn’t hide in the shadows. He could’ve been a “hanger on” with the girls, hoping to get lucky. Or just a friend who didn’t say much.
Either way, fathers have to get their daughters to pay attention at all times to their surroundings, and be aware if anyone’s following them. If someone is, they need to walk their way back to the crowd ASAP, while holding their pepper spray in their right hand, ready to use.
It’s a father’s job and responsibility to protect and educate their girls and boys on the hard realities of life.
At 0:35, a person approaches from the right back, and appears to ask the possible suspect if he was in line for the food truck. Suspect steps back, apparently says no, and then the person walks up in line.
It appears that he was watching the girls.

I suggest all young women (and men) read Gavin DeBecker’s book “The Gift of Fear.” He’s all about knowing your surroundings and trusting your gut — especially women who discount those innate feelings because they don’t want to be rude by not getting into an elevator with one sketchy-looking person or someone who just makes you uneasy. Lots more stuff like that in the book. Old book, but still very relevant.

Worked at UT Austin. 70k on campus each and every day. Fruits and nuts everywhere. Both in and out of school. It’s like a magnet for crazy behavior. I’ve seen it first hand.
I concur – I live in No Idaho-these beautiful young girls are from my town. Moscow ID is very left and weird. That being said the PD knows a lot more than what they are saying.
This is now being used/hyped to create maximum fear in the local (college students) as usual who can’t survive without the gov/school officials taking care of them & to panic/outrage the people.
What’s the message? The police are inept, can’t do their job, are bad? That is an evil wrongdoer is running rampant in the community targeting young college students?

Why did that police “chief” look like he was smiling all the way through the news conference? That was extremely inappropriate.
I would have been one of those girls had I not had a high level of awareness as I was stalked when I was young and managed to get away because I was aware and took off running as soon as I was out of sight of my stalker. Later I has a man try to shove me into his car and I went ballistic and was dropped.
I read that book years ago when I still lived in Southern California. It contained very helpful information for my boss who was dealing with a dangerous employee who had threatened his family because the boss had fired him. The issue was diffused and eliminated.
For generations Fathers have been teaching Daughter’s safety. For generations Daughters have been saying “Oh Dad” and totaling ignoring them.
But we still listen and remember Dad’s words!
I’ve been following this story closely. In September, a student alert was sent out warning of an incident with a man with a knife who was threatening students on campus. He was never identified, but his description matches that of the man in the food truck video…including a black ball cap.
After watching the entire video, it is obvious that this guy was following the two girls from the bar, watching them, and they wanted nothing to do with him. He constantly tried to evade the cameras, and when the one girl tried to get his pic (pretending to take a selfie) he moved and turned away. When they ditched him (or attempted to), he took off after them in a hurry. Veered off the other way, possibly to get his bike or car.
The other girl and her boyfriend who were also killed had been at a campus party that night. I doubt they knew the killer or were intended targets. They were sleeping downstairs, together.
The two housemates who were there the whole time lived upstairs. Neither of them was the one who made the call reporting someone unconscious. It’s likely that when one finally came down, she discovered the scene and went running out of the house for help and passed out, and a neighbor probably made that call without knowing that there had been four murders committed.
This guy will be found. Gotta give the police time to do their jobs and nail the bastard. Prayers for all, and in the meantime everyone else needs to stay vigilant and be safe.

Or taking picture of something in front of her? He does seem to turn sideways as she raises cell phone for picture. But he doesn’t turn so far that his face is hidden. Except for when he first crossed the street with the two girls, he didn’t really hide in the shadows or hide his face at all. He openly talks to the heavyset guy. Doesn’t hide his face.
But as you point out, he does seem to be shadowing them. They do seem to be ignoring him. There’s even some not friendly looking gesturing between both males and the girl in pink top towards the end of video. A few words are exchanged, too. And that’s what makes the kid suspicious. He’s hanging around them. They’re ignoring him. There’s gestures and words.

Not sure the girl took the kid’s pic, though. She takes first pic about 9:40 in the vid (bottom of split screen). A few minutes later she takes another pic, cell pointed toward food truck where pink top girl is standing. Then she and pink top laugh.
If she got a pic of the kid, the cop’s find him. If not, the AI enhanced vid is so clear of his face that a match should be found (driver’s license database, school ID database, military database, etc).
The whole length vid has been available for days, circulated all over media. The fact that hoodie/ball cap guy has NOT come forward to clear himself is quite telling.
I mean, if you were that guy and plastered all over nat’l nooz and YuckTube…wouldn’t you want them to stop it if you weren’t involved?

Also, I read somewhere that it is believed the killer gained access through a sliding patio door. We shall see. Horrific.

The Daily Mail reported Dean of Students Blaine Eccles said the man in the September incident flashed a knife. That individual, not a student, turned himself into law enforcement.
The murder scene was gruesome, lots of blood. Blood dripped down outside the house. The College President was in tears when he spoke of the 4 murdered students. It was an evil crime. I don’t think the slain students knew the killer or killers. The campus is unsafe.
In my opinion the FBI are there to control the narrative. Probably there are other examples of these kinds of murders. I hope the killer or killers are caught before they re hustled out of country.

Dean of Students claimed knife guy turned himself in, but Moscow Chief of Police did not rule out a connection. Odd that they’d have differing ideas on the matter, but University officials are notorious for playing down campus crimes.

Perhaps it really was a “crime of passion” as originally stated. Having another serial killer on the loose, unidentified, would be the worst scenario. I think (and pray) we’ll know soon.
So here is the full video, shared by a YouTuber. Ball cap-hoodie guy follows them in at 6:15. It all gets stranger from there, but take a look, starting at 18:15. Maddie and hoodie guy exchange a series of pointing at each other.
She’s definitely aware of him and wants nothing to do with him. As soon as the girls get their food (he never ordered anything) they try to ditch him. He does look a lot like her “boyfriend.” That would answer everything. I’m sure their phones will tell all.
From what I saw, the big guy with the beard was already waiting for his order before the girls showed up and placed their order. When the girls got their order, my guess is that big guy with beard commented on how they got their order before he did. That is what the gesturing is about.
I do not think that they know the male following them. I think that he had gotten out of a warm vehicle, came over to the food truck, put his hat on and his hoodie up to stay warm. I do not believe that he was their Uber driver because they would have signaled to him that it is time to get back in the car.
How long had he been following them? Since the guy following them never ordered food but stood around acting like he was a paying customer gives me the creeps.
Females need to be very aware of who is following them. I was followed so much as a young lady that it would make you sick to know how much evil is out there.

Yes, lots of sickos out there. When I was about 15, we went to a music competition about an hour away. During lunch, we all walked over to McDonald’s. Some weirdo (adult) spotted me and took a liking.
He managed to figure out what bus I was on and followed it all the way back to my hometown. He drove by me as I was walking home and tried to pick me up. Then, he started sending letters to my house! My dad dealt with it. Universities can be horrible, too. 🙁
I mentioned Uber because the young lady who posted the video said that maybe he was an Uber driver. After watching the video, there is no way anyone would hang around unless the meter on the vehicle was running.
I had someone follow me 25 miles into town while I was driving a ragtop convertible. I always park out in the nosebleed section because there are no vehicles for someone to hide between. I went into the mall for an hour and then went back to my car. As I was getting into my car I noticed a man in a white van pull up in the aisle behind me. I watched him in my rearview mirror get out and check in the back of his van. As God would have it, my car did not start. After 15 minutes of trying and watching this guy just sit in his van, I went back into the mall to call my dad and have him come get me. This was way before cell phones.
My dad was about 40 minutes away so I just walked around the mall. When the time was right I went back to my car and Mr. Van was still there waiting. My dad showed up a few minutes later and pulled up behind my right rear tire. As my dad arrived this guy immediately left.
My dad glared at him and asked me, “Did you see that guy?” Yes, I did was my reply. My dad then looked at my right rear tire and said, “You have a brand new nail in your tire.”
This guy was waiting to follow me 25 miles back home, have my tire go flat, cut me out of my ragtop car, and live out his sick fantasies on me.
Wow, total predator! Yeah, I’ve had a few other stories, too – like you, before cellphones. But even with cellphones, creeps exist and figure out new ways to victimize.
All we can do is teach our young girls how to be safe, and our young men to be good men. (Even older ladies need to be alert and aware.)
Yes. I learned at about the age of 10 to be aware of who is walking behind you, within sight of you, driving behind you, and more. Many times I went up to a store employee or manager and pointed right at someone and said that this person is following me so that I could get escorted to my car or have someone come get me.
Not that this would have saved their lives, but these girls seemed very unaware that hoodie guy never made a purchase and departed when they did. If he thought that they were onto him and publicly exposed him, then he may have picked an easier target.
Thats also what I was thinking PJ-they have all the students’ phones, it takes time to get the information off of them if they can get the passcodes and that’s a big if. Geo-tracking plus texts pictures etc.
Those phones will contain a plethora of information of what went on that night with the girls, more will be revealed as they get the information and they will have a suspect.
It could be the creepy guy in the video or it could be someone else. Messaging to create maximum fear-without any real facts just speculation.
No matter what the answer, it will NEVER make sense. All LE can do is keep open minds and follow the facts to the end.
Also, we’re going on info provided – and that cannot always be trusted. Sometimes media or LE are incompetent, but sometimes false leads and info are put out there to purposely misdirect. They may already be watching a suspect.
I agree, phones are going to be huge in solving this. There will also be a ton of DNA, footprints, etc. So much to sort, with so many people going in and out of that house. I really feel for the other two housemates who had to see this, and all the emergency professionals. Ugggh.

This is north of where I am in Eastern Idaho. Moscow is in the panhandle. The kids have gone home for the holidays and are receiving an excused absence. Some are staying because of their dedication to their studies, but remaining vigilant.
Moscow is a small town, as Idaho towns tend to be. But, it’s right on the border of Washington State. There’s some crossover and that has always been a point of concern.
We are very protective of our state and most especially, our young people.
Theses kids are our very finest and this makes no sense to anyone. The local police are traumatized by it. The families are going through the expected stages of grief. The lack of knowledge makes everything even worse.

The rest of the country might be forgiven for not knowing the local politics of Moscow, thinking that Idaho is a very conservative state. The people in Moscow are quite similar to those of any “University Town” in California. Far more left leaning than Boise, or CDA (which only leans left due to recent influx from the west. I expect a shooting war between CDA and Bonner’s Ferry, already a billboard war)
Just south in “orofino” where “boomershot” is held, there is a coffee kiosk called “Caliber Coffee” and uses a revolver cylinder as it’s logo. It’s counterpart in Moscow is called “Red Star Coffee”, and uses a five point red star for it’s logo.
North Idaho stste rep Heather Scott’s monthly newsletter CONSTANTLY warns the state legislature is all in on Great Reset and that apert from most of North Idaho, the state is being rapidly turned into California.
Despite the state’s beauty, I’d never move there for that reason.

Have a wonderful Christian friend who left the communist territory of San Diego in August. She and her husband moved their family to Idaho, and they were super excited about living among normal people in a normal area.
So far the residents have been treating them as though they are scum of the earth leftists, and not the very right leaning, conservative, Christ following to the bone Christians they are.
It breaks my heart hearing about what’s going on in their lives since they made that huge move, but knowing that sickos from Californication are moving to Idaho, it is not hard to see how everyone is suspect.
First thing you do when you move to ID from CA is re-register your car in ID and get the CA license plates off. Idahoeans do not like anyone from CA moving here bcz they assume they are leftists and those that are conservative get the brunt of that ignorance.

Southern ID is a different animal, people moving there from both sides, CA move there bcz the weather is milder and its not CA.

Really boggles the mind, I wonder if we will ever know the whole truth? So very sorry for the families, especially w/Thanksgiving in a few days. Extremely painful situation for anyone remotely attached to this story, it will haunt folks for a long time to come.
This 100 % is a rejection rage murder. Most likely illegal alien by the way they police are not naming a suspect, but initially said no danger to community. In any event, there needs to be some serious questions asked about how this was handled when it’s all said and done.

I just read on the Gateway Pundit that the two survivors who were unaware and unharmed didn’t report the incident to the police for several hours. That will have to be cleared up quickly if true.

How do you stab four young people without there being someone fighting back? If someone fought back , there was nothing heard by the two others in the house? Were they all asleep? Could there be more than one assailant? Who called 911 and told the operator someone in the house was unconscious, according to the report I read.
With so many unknown people flooding into our country, who knows might have murdered them. Knives being used is a sign of an angry violent crime, more so than with a gun. Please find out who did this horrible crime.
Easy-if they are sleeping and in different rooms. It was 4 or 5 in the morning-they had all been out partying-they were all most likely in deep sleep.
It appears to be a targeted attack on one of the girls and the others where in the wrong place at the wrong time all on the main floor. I would surmise that the 2 girls slept in the same room, the BF & GF were sleeping together in another room.
Of course, that’s speculation – we don’t know much except there is more to this story than is being revealed.
We don’t know who was found outside, it is about 15-20 degrees at night there.
That being said – U of I in Moscow has a huge population of foreign students, I was at the airport with about 30 Chinese students having just arrived to go down to school in Moscow.
It is also on the border of WA which has a huge illegal alien work force in AG but I don’t think it was anyone they didn’t know.

Had to be more than one person or these four didn’t have any courage or strength to fight back or escape?
Maybe they were all drugged up on something?
The girls appear somewhat tipsy and in the middle of the night. This is the result of modern feminism and naivete combined. Why? No self-respecting woman (or even man) should be on the streets at those hours unless you are required to be out-there (work, sickness, etc). But rabid feminism has told girls raised by single mothers or beta males that it is their right to do whatever they want (not what is prudent). They violate universal rules of safety–stay in at night (even in ancient Rome it was dangerous at night). Many Western women get raped/killed overseas jogging/hiking alone or just girls in lonely trails in 3rd world countries (things not done even by the locals). This type of crimes is increasing even in the USA. That type of news don’t make it to the Western TV’s because that would present the truth to the audience–that women will be more targeted and are more vulnerable than men to these crimes. Many times the host countries do not want the news out-there since it is bad for tourism (so more women make the same lapse in judgment with the same outcome).
Did the girls in this article deserve to died? Of course not and this is sad. But did they make it easier for this crime to happen to them? Yes. Don’t you go out-there and do the same. Brutality will become rampant in a decaying culture, so behave accordingly and learn how to become difficult to be a victim or be killed (outside and in your home).
Recently had to get some cash after dinner in downtown LA. Told the guy, “I’ll get you your money tomorrow.” and went to the ATM in early morning sunlight as opposed to late night darkness. Some people say it was cowardly but was traveling alone and nobody was watching my back at that ATM, so felt a lot better doing the transaction in the morning sun and lived to tell the tale.
I always told my kids, nothing good happens after midnight.
The pain inflicted on the friends & families of these four is indescribable. Their futures snuffed out by this demonic act. Had any of the four had a CCL, this tragedy could have been prevented. I sleep better knowing my immediate family will not be victimized in this manner. I’m protected everywhere I go with a yellow flag awareness of my surroundings. That includes the church, the park, the grocery store, and by my bed. All law abiding families must rethink their safety in this difficult time of criminal leniency.

Added sedation from alcohol made it easier for the perpetrator (door left unlocked/perpetrator allowed in to sleep in the sofa, etc? to allow for quiet surprise attack). If the perpetrator had fired a gun some may had escape (maybe, if quick thinkers). A knife, skillfully used, is the right weapon for this type of crime.
The fact that this attack was so gruesome leads me to believe that it was either someone who knew these people personally, or a random person who gets a kick out of that kind of behavior. Really tragic story.

The only thing they were good for was arresting the COVID-19 lockdown protestors at the behest of their corrupt, “woke” mayor who, along with the COP and the cops should have been indicted under Title 18, Section 242 U.S.C. -Deprivation of Rights under color of authority. Sadly, that did not happen. Amerika ist verloren. Bleib ubrig.
Friend of mine from gradeschool is retired LE and has picked up this case. My baseball coach from gradeschool was the blood spatter expert on the OJ case and Johnny has shadowed him over the years and followed in his footsteps up until retirement and beyond. Excellent tone, delivery, sensitivity to victims and their families, coupled with in depth knowledge of the system. The video of the house layout answered a lot of my questions and brought up a few more. Good stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised to find him reporting on this as coverage has been not so comprehensive leaving a lot of questions. KTVB reporter Alexandra Duggan has been consistent as well, but you Johnny Law hits it out the park!
