I don’t think this is that severe. Germany knows this is going to be a cold winter for them. It behooves them to get the repair begun at once. It is reported to be leaks, not gushers. NS2 repaired, then everyone is back to square one. Germany is already under contract to pay Russia whether NG is delivered or not, cooperation with the Russians is needed, sanctions need to be renegotiated.

The steel pipe itself has a wall of 4.1 centimeters (1.6 inches), and it’s coated with another 6-11 cm of steel-reinforced concrete. Each section of the pipe weighs 11 tonnes, which goes to 24-25 tonnes after the concrete is applied.

The gas is shut off. But, even during no flow, they keep pressurized gas within. That’s all that is coming out now.

Incidently so is LNG, but LNG is cryogenically liquified, which puts much more gas into a given volume, which is transported via pressure vessels, never pipelines.
Carlson stated it was still bleeding as he spoke. I assume there are ESV’s tied in at multiple points along the pipeline, so that a catastrophic failure could be easily sealed off. Thats what’s needed here. Hope it is off.

In my humble opinion, I think that this action has very little to do with Russia and everything to do with ‘resetting’ the European people and force them to accept the New Normal of digital passes for food and energy rations, emergency, that is, tyrannical rule to do away with the rule of law and to break national European identities, like being German, Spanish, Flemish, etc. They want that ‘global identity’, beginning with western Europe.
Why did the EU and USA allow the EU to be totally dependent on Russia only to do a very predictable stop of oil flow? Why did the US not allow Israel and Greece to build that pipeline from Israel to the EU. Israel found that ginormous oil field which is nicknamed Leviathan. And, Libya supplied oil to Italy and Spain before being overthrown by US. The referendum for several regions of the Russian speaking lands (currently Ukraine) should be announced. From my understanding it is a done deal. They are going back to Russia. I suspect after Friday or so when Ukraine/NATO/US continues to shell those areas it will fall under a different category. “An attack on the Motherland.”
