The statistics behind the energy impact upon the German economy, the largest economy in the European Union, are almost unfathomable in scale. There is no way for the German industrial economy to continue with this level of price pressure. Stick a fork in the current creation of German industrial products and exports, the inflection point of feasibility for continued production has been crossed. They are done.
According to release statistics from the German economic ministry, energy prices in August were more than double the same period last year, up 139%. The monthly increase was more than 20.4% higher than July. Additionally, producer prices for electricity rose 174.9% compared with August 2021 and by 26.4% in a single month.
This jaw-dropping increase in energy cost has resulted in German manufacturing prices for industrial goods jumping 7.9% in August alone, with a year-over-year increase in the cost to manufacture goods at 45.8%. That is the highest rate of price increase since Germany began recording their statistics in 1939.
BERLIN, Sept 19 (Reuters) – German producer prices rose in August at their strongest rate since records began both in annual and monthly terms, driven mainly by soaring energy prices, raising the chances that headline inflation will surge even higher.
Producer prices of industrial products increased by 45.8% on the same month last year, the Federal Statistical Office reported on Tuesday. Compared to July 2022, prices rose 7.9%, it added.
The surge was considerably stronger than expected, with analysts having forecast a 37.1% year-on-year rise and a 1.6% monthly rise, according to a Reuters poll.
In July, the year-on-year increase had been 37.2% and in June 32.7%.
Energy prices in August on average were over double the same period last year, up 139%, and 20.4% higher than the previous month, the office reported. (read more)
Once again, my friends…. Pretending meets reality!
What does this mean in practical terms?
Firstly, it means the people within Germany and the larger EU will not be able to afford goods if the increased price to manufacture them is passed on to customers. German industrial goods, including the heavily dependent auto sector, will hit the market at double the price from last year. Exported goods, again assuming the government doesn’t provide some sort of subsidy to offset, would also double.
Secondly, it means the prices of used goods will increase in value. With imported vehicles holding that scale of increased manufacturing price, I would expect to see German automobile dealers in the U.S. sending out incentives to purchase used BMW’s, Audi’s and Mercedes for the products that are not produced in North America.
Lastly, on a global scale, Germany is dependent on selling industrial equipment to Asia and North America in the manufacturing sector. With declining demand for finished products -the result of inflation- there was already a lowered demand for machinery, machined tools and heavy equipment. Downward pressure due to a lack of demand, combined with upward price pressure to manufacture the industrial products, creates an even worse scenario.
Right now, Germany is on the cusp of a full-blown economic meltdown, and as we have seen recently German Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (pictured below) has no idea how to handle it.
I hope the Germans do like the Swedes just did. And every country to follow.
Finally, after 60 years, we will actually get to see “the domino theory” applied to a group of countries, although not in the way suggested, as justification for the Viet Nam war.
So goes Germany, so goes the EU.
Remind me again, how the sanctions would eventually bleed Putin dry, so Ukraine as proxy (for US and EU) would win?
Dutch you’re forgetting these fools table topped this through. Granted, the game master ensured all things worked. So, they ate truly shocked at how this is not turning out like the fame of make believe the Dungeon Master, er, I mean the WEF said it would do.
Phone typos…sorry for making the read harder.
Thanks for the apology Dwayne – you know, you can edit your posts after posting right.
just like the morons failed to put the effects of the SUN in their CC models they must have forgotten to put the effects of energy availability into their economic modeling going forward for W Europe
Been on several tours with Germans around the globe, and they are OH-SO quiety smug about their ‘highest standard of living in the EU’ (and some say, the world) Can’t wait for DJT’s comments when the SHTF bigly-
The European Air Mover is ingesting a huge chunk of dark matter currently.
Glad to see someone say it. They are smug and rude. I don’t know what happened to the youth of the world, I loved my experiences with the Germans in the 80’s.
You sure about that?
Dutchman, when the EU was a done deal decades ago, we in this house said that perhaps not in our lifetime, the political union the EU was always intended to be, though that goal was hidden from those countries’ populations who all had to vote to join based on the rancid lie that it was an economic union only, would implode.
We are closer today than we ever thought we would see.
The EU is a dictatorial amalgamation of countries which gave up their sovereignty for many tyrants’ satanic dreams of glory.
Time for it to disintegrate so member states can reclaim what was fraudulently stolen from them.
Amen Betsy.
And ruled by an EU Commission that isn’t even elected!
And that was the biggest tell of all, MaineCoon. With Germany sitting at the head of the table.
Exactly!
Nice to see ya, MaineCoon. Like the Fred Eaglesmith song…..”It’s been a long time”.
And of course you’re spot on.
Keep the candle lit.
Nice to see you too Thor III. We’ll all keep fighting the good fight, best we can.
Absolutely correct.
Hate to say it, but the USA is in the exact same boat as the EU. We will be hitting the same wall.
Marie LePen -France- has been giving some really great…no holding back..calling it like it is…speeches lately.
Germany made the deal with Russia regarding energy not France. And that France should not have to suffer the consequences of their bad decisions, etc.
France and Germany are joined at the hip in their original plan to mold a political Europe. They are a member of NATO which stupidly agreed to the sanctions. France is just as culpable as Germany…from the very beginnning.
I (American) was living in London at the time of their referendum. As you state it was to be the EEU ONLY. (Thankfully the Brits retained the pound sterling.) No, no, no I said to my colleagues–you will ultimately be the (dis)United States of Europe (w/o a referendum). Spain, Italy, etc. never really played by the rules, eg., fishing standards, rules, regs. etc.
Retired to Spain and suddenly, miraculously there appeared vast kilometers of concrete motorway where there had been none. The Spaniards were rewarded/bribed for their membership from the pockets of the working class of the duped of northern Europe.
Back home in Texas now, praise be to God.
The great depression kicked off in an Austrian bank crisis and spread to the rest of Europe and the US.
If the EU implodes there will be huge financial knock on globally.
Anybody notice how quiet it is regarding the war in Ukraine? Is nobody listening to Z’s BS anymore, except China Joe. Winter is fast approaching in Germany, the weather at night is already dropping down into the 40’s,they need to make some serious decisions before full blown civil war breaks out. My son is going there in another day from Italy for the Octoberfest, have to ask him how the heat was in the hotel he is staying at.
Waiting for them to haul the old steam-engines out of their fantastic transport museums and start running them on wood–shades of Dagny Taggart-
They will have a tough time since they have cut down a lot of their beautiful forests for wind towers.
Frankly, I prefer my Germans globally focused. I do not want any nationalist populist German politician promising to Make Germany Great Again. Let’s keep the German men emasculated and peeing sitting down. Thank you.
What a very stupid comment.
The Germans have a well established track record of not doing patriotism/nationalism right. The body count from two world wars does not think my comment was very stupid.
110 and 80 years ago that took place.
The Us has 200 bases worldwide and has been at war every year since the second world war and killed millions in that time. Yet no one would wish their population to have no self determination.
You keep spewing up childish media conditioned blood libel. It is a stupid and unworthy comment.
750 bases worldwide if you look it up in 175 countries
I stand corrected. Wow that is a lot more than I thought.
What possible reason do you need 750 army bases outside your own nation. Its not like the US isn’t geographically pretty isolated.
I believe originally they were there to defend those countries. That’s what my dad told me as he flew around to all of them with supplies from the states. 1953 that was. I’m not so sure any more.
It’s because the U.S. has been the policeman of the world since WWII doing the work that the EU nations couldn’t/wouldn’t do. It allowed the rest of the world to go liberal and divest in social programs…and then the U.S. liberal modeled themselves as everything European…. here we are…
It may sound stupid, but it is a long ago “requirement” (so I heard) that they pee sitting down. Have an issue with the rest? Speculation, and who thought we would be here? So, anything is possible. JMO
So I recognize Russia is not shipping fuel to Germany.
But there does not appear to be a shortage. It seems to me everything is still available, jus at a much higher cost.
Yes I see sporadic shortages, but I also see few going without if they feel the need to spend the inflated costs.
Point is, how much of this is smoke and mirrors? Petro is thriving on this cash glut, and it looks to me like so is the entire supply chain owners.
It is the fearful who react and give this BS wings. Live within your means, fear nothing and like the hill billies of the depression era said, “what depression? I got food to eat, a roof over my head, and a bit extra to share with those who come by with a need.”
We are just going to have to reprioritize our lives a bit.
FJB thanks you.
If you can’t afford it, it’s not available to you, regardless of whether its on the shelf or not.
And, once the shelf is empty, and there’s nothing to replace it with if the supplier (Russia) stopped supplying.
China is buying Russian oil and gas, shipping it to the EU countries and making a killing. And the EU is pretending not to know where the oil and gas is really coming from. Supply will be there, but at astronomical prices, especially compared to what the EU could be paying if they bought it directly from Russia.
Russia stands prepared to ship immediately via Nordstream2.
It is Germany that is committed to bringing it all down.
Then china gets Euros, and then puts them somewhere, say in stocks purchased at depressed prices from desperate people. Then the oil turns back on and china owns europe.
You will own nothing.
It is said Germany had topped off their gas supplies to 80% Unclear how far that takes them through the winter. By their actions, a lot.
Tom Luongo said in a recent podcast the reason Germany nationalized (stole) thé Russian refinery in Germany previously owned by Rosneft was that Germany intends to continue to buy Russian oil from India and China. Germany will then refine it using the stolen refinery and resell the gas. Makes sense.
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/09/16/germany-takes-control-of-russian-owned-refinery-.html
Pedo in chief is raiding the US reserve so Germany can sell oil at exorbitant price. Germany is becoming a sore that never goes away.
A few industrial accidents at storage facilities would fix any German independence. Maybe some US Afghani stuff from the retreat? Anyone in Germany who might lean this way?
https://thesaker.is/the-euthanized-european-nat-gas-reserves/
Link that another Treeper posted 4 days ago. Giving information as to what happens when there is no gas pressure in the pipelines going into the gas storage tanks.
Putin is probably rolling on the floor laughing, holding his sides.
The linked article is BS. Gas lines have compressor plants all along their paths.
there is a shortage worldwide…there has been near 2M bb/day taken out of production since its peak under PDJT…..the US drop in production accounts for over 1/2 of that and Saudi Arabia is about to take some of its production offline to stabilize prices at this higher normal….who would have thought they would prefer $100+ /bbl prices
As prices climb higher and supplies dwindle, what will you prioritize when you can no longer afford anything?
A priority list of nothing is just that, nothing.
I can do that. I hope it’s enough.
“I”, nuff said.
Imagine having a product, like oxygen, that all people must buy. Then imagine you produce it at a fixed cost. Next imagine thst you can triple the price with no increase in cost. Would the owners of such an enterprise seek this outcome if they could instigate it?
Who owns BP, Exxon, Chevron, Shell, Aramco, Rosneft, Gazprom? It is those people behind all of this. Green is a cover for wealth tranfer via energy cost increase. Simple math, produce less energy, make more money. Now watch unaffiliated supplies get crushed. Ain’t demand inelasticity a beech…
Probably unlikely. Germans have a long history of doing the wrong thing.
There’s no indication that the Germans are lucid. They’re running around blaming the US because of some faked RAND Corp paper saying the US is “making” Germany self-immolate.
“September 24th 2022 – What Did Friedrich Merz (German Member of Parliament) Say? – “Dear colleagues the 24th september 2022 will be remembered by all of us as a day which we will say ‘I remember exactly where I was.” Friedrich Merz (German Member of Parliament & Party Leader of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany) – Speech delivered September 2022″ – 1 minute, 11 second video clip here: https://crwdview.com/watch/september-24th-2022-what-did-friedrich-merz-german-member-of-parliament-say_ciUzWz1cqCYDJyl.html
I hope it is not WWIII.
Is this Back to the Future??
The Germans will probably be told that the Euro is now worthless: no cash, only…
…DIGITAL Currency!
every German should give that a digital reply, ..!..
Ja!
Of course we are in a WWIII situation, metaphorically speaking. We all know the saying “History repeats”, and this aphorism is rich in meaning. One meaning is that Germany is losing WWIII.
How apocryphal!

Climate Heretic
Poland jitters nervously….
Today is September 20th. Are they posting ahead or practicing or did they tape it in advance to play on the 24th? If the last, someone released it a little early…..
False flag Nuke in Europe incoming I wager.
The referendums in the Ukraine republics are 23-27th of September.
There is a reason Biden did a whole speech on Russia using Nuclear weapons in Ukraine a couple of days ago.
I think they got confused and mixed up their future election results already finalized.
Will we not see the same here given FJB has 2 more years
?
yes….it’s the path we are on…FJB and Dems just play games to slow the roll…
…off the cliff.
Thelma and Louise . . . leading the way.
Like a Beavis and Bu!!head leading the way! 😃
Buckle up.
It’s a crystal ball for the U.S’s Biden / Lib / Dem policies.
Americans who still buy the BS, wake the heck up.
Remember Biden’s own words from 60 minutes…
He’s a full on pretender.
The problem with joe malarkey is that this isn’t even his fault. He is not making these decisions, or refusing to make other decisions to fix anything.
His day consists of: sign here joe like we talked about and your entire family is not going to be held to account for your criminality and abuses over the years. You will get a pudding pop, and you can continue to do what you do and no one is goin to stop you from being you. We will protect you, but you have to sign these papers and say these words. As we discussed!
this is the reality.
the problem with this “administration” is that there are some very dark and evil people as well some who are horribly incompetent and other who just don’t even care to think or make considerations. (exhibit: k.harris).
and these people are running the show.
how do you impeach that?
how does lee harvey oswald handle 50,000-1.5 million “public servants/officials”, and a “congress” that cannot produce a single effective policy?
why does it seem they really do want chaos, uncertainty, volatility, fear, and confusion?
it is coincidental or is it the very nature of a godless state…that it eventually fails in ways unimaginable by a reasonable standard?
I do not believe in coincidences.
Some say, you find what you are looking for.
what are these people looking for? what drives them?
where is the spirit of service? obligation? duty? Moral imperatives? standards? well reasoned and properly paced and structured measures to create and protect the national interest? you and me?
it just doesn’t exist. those “talents” are remarkable vacant. And there is no question why:
they chose poorly and are not guided by a sacred oath commitment…they say the words, they smile at appropriate times, but it’s just a charade.
we know them by their works.
their works prove they are not guided by or even in fellowship with God. They do not pray openly. They do not attribute or call to action in the name of God.
they are afraid.
and so they are failures in all ways that matter.
God Bless America
Godless Communists spiced with various nihilistic -isms.
FJB is still an evil bastard though.
no doubt about it.
long term embecile and scofflaw.
no doubt about it
precisely why he was installed.
so we can stick pins in him and get tied up and over knots and be confused into actually believing he IS the President of the United States.
He was installed because the corruptors ALWAYS OPERATE THIS WAY. They pick an embecile, someone who is totally and completely corrupt and can be handled to do the work they desire.
He is a willing accomplice no doubt about it.
But I spend less time thinking about the gaffs and abject failures of this man and focus much more of my time understanding the background of people WHOM I WILL SOON BE MAKING A DECISION TO VOTE FOR.
President Trump made me relearn the basics: Can you deliver and is the work authentic and assembled by god fearing and fearless leaders ?
Biden represents his own kind of ilk. he is “loved” by these corruptors.
completely different type of human being. lost..unworthy…greedy…deceiving…self serving.
God Bless America
Amen to all.
well said Regitiger !!!!!
Germany seized the Rosneft (Russian owned) oil refinery, Russia is going to turn off the oil line supplying it.
Play stupid games…
Win FJB prizes!
There are some legitimate investigative journalist looking into the matter of the seizure of rosneft.
Stay tuned. Things are going to get very sporting in Germany. The media is totally corrupt as it is here in the US. but plainly germany suffers through public indifference….mostly.
When the cold dead bodies are taken late in dark hours and not getting reported, this winter (it will happen), people will react. But they will need factual authentic reporting.
Challenge accepted.
God Bless America
Does the McConnell/Chao shipping conglomerate operate oil tankers?
Our strategic reserve has a few barrels left.
Listened to a report that stated at best tankers could only supply enough feed stock for 60% capacity, which costs the same to run as 100%.
The other issue that many don’t realize is the refineries are built with a certain feed stock in mind, all crude is not the same. So to change over is costly and time consuming.
Remember quite well the issues at plants when the refining of oil sands started, the engineers missed the corrosion factor by multiples. One plant had finished the retro, started up, then the problem occurred. Back to shut down, workers where very happy $$$$.
It had a big impact on the Chicago region.
The German Pols are talking about all the reserve nat gas they have, problem there also, if there is not a supply coming into where ever the reserve is, be it above or below ground the reserve is not usable.
If you try to suck it out it creates a vacuum, if you pump air in the product is diluted and useless.
Once again—Play stupid games…
If they don’t, I’ll bet Warren Buffett does. The need to feed cash to his railroads via unit trains carrying oil is one major reason we have no new pipelines in the USA.
Germany will refine Russian oil sold by India and China and then Germany will resell the refined product to other countries probably in Europe.
Doesn’t sound profitable does it?
They are intentionally breaking every economy in the western world.
This is going to cause major unrest at some point. What is their plan to escape the consequences of that?
I understand Klaus and company will be safe, but what about the useful idiots implementing the plan?
They are a death cult. They don’t intend to escape.
They have covered themselves and us in gas are flicking the lighter.
Its no coincidence they change the lw to allow the army to be deployed domestically from October. They are planning to implement martial law against their own population and use this to complete the covid initiated destruction.
They may have no money to pay the Army. No food or not heat does not make an Army very happy with their leaders.
They will be dead by “vaccine”. I was at a small county health dept today for vital records and the amount of seniors and children who were coming in for “vaccines” was just sad. Babies. 🙁
I picked this up on another site which merits a replay.

Everyone knows the government and big pharma are greedy lying bastards.
So it was obvious to me not to take the obviously dangerous vaccine.
it should have been to everyone else also.
I say no way too!! Hong Kong flu shot almost killed me!
You were one of the few that thought for themselves.
Many take what a Dr. says as absolute. Many doctors have no answer when questioned. Than they get very irradiated, This is one way to determine if the doctor is good or not.
That goes along for anyone in authority.
Some of these auto-corrects are hilarious. lol
(My comment is not inteneded as a put down 😉 )
Break the economy to justify nationalizing it and launching their digital currency.
They are already nationalizing the largest Gas distributors. As you point out this is intentional.
The EU govts will nationalize all the energy companies and roll it int their new EU wide admin framework. So this “crisis” allows them to have a fully controlled energy market with the state as the only supplier in the entire block.
I am amazed so few people see this even as it unfolds around them
Great point.
You just never know, Klaus and friends may think they are untouchable. Epstein didn’t kill himself.
They seem to be correct so far.
And no he didn’t given he isn’t dead.
C I a is playing footsie in Ukraine with wild delusions of breaking up Russia (While visions of Libya dance in their heads- power vacuum), while these sad pathetically led countries like Germany and France shuffle behind and destroy their economies based on environmental false promises which enrich China and some sad need to try and fit in and be cool. Sad state of affairs.
The Germans are pretending all so that they can institute the WEF Great Reset. They could lift Russian sanctions and start the Nordstream 2 pipeline. They could get Ukraine to open the pipeline that Ukraine closed. They could get Poland to re-open the pipeline that Poland closed. They could encourage the Netherlands to allow farmers to grow crops.
The EU did lift Russian sanctions on fertilizer, but only fertilizer being sent to the EU. The US a couple of months ago lifted sanctions on Russian fertilizer sent to the US.
But instead of taking care of their own country, they are allowing consumer prices to rise with no care whatsoever for their citizens or their industries. I am hoping that their citizens and industries remind them where their priorities should lie.
Without shooting they are not going to listen.
The German FM (another traitor green) already announced that it would continue no matter what the protests from their own citizens.
Until they kill him. History always repeats if lessons are not learned. And this group of people spent their lives re-writing history rather than learning.
They will learn the hard way…cuz, they are stupid.
Her.
I hate to say it but I agree, someone that publicly declares their intent to murder millions of their own citizens and has already set their plans in motion has forfeited their life.
And the Germans could re-open their nuclear plants and resume using coal.
The EU is talking about importing coal from Russia. I have laughed and laughed. They won’t lift sanctions on clean natural gas, but are willing to import coal? Russia has the world’s second largest recoverable coal reserves, second to the United States.
If you read the Bible long enough, it becomes clear that the enemies of the Jews are always held responsible and punished.
This seems to be such a time.
DD
One is not surprised, given that they wrote it.
You mean like when the allies killed 12 million German civilians after the war using starvation and camps?
Yea, the allies caused the German grief….Germany’s line to go to war throughout history.
They have been climate brainwashed to the point of stupidity. I’m sure Greta is proud. They have options but are so brainwashed they wont consider nuclear or carbon sourced energy. We will see how long that lasts. It looks like Germany will be the first economic victim to the WEF’s Build Back Broke. Unfortunately we are headed in the same direction with limited time to change course.
Holy Weimar Batman!
I got ya wheelbarrow right here!
If the German economy collapses, the EU will follow shortly.
This is frightening.
Really?
The EU is not, and has never been our “friend”.
By underfunding NATO, and major trade restrictions they ripped off the U.S. for the same amount as CHINA, every year for 30 years.
PDJT WAS going to address this chronic screwing, right after he addressed China.
He was going to use GB, after Brexit as a tool.
His path would perhaps have been “gentler” but the EU would have had a major disruption, and being an inherently unstable “centralised” system, may well not have survived.
Crying no tears, for the end of the EU, for me!
Easy for you to say. I live in Europe its a complete suicide by government and the media is all in on it.
Prayers for you and Europe, Albert. If we in the USA can defeat our own version of this tyranny in our Midterms and again in two years, hopefully we can pull our cousins across the pond back from the brink too.
At this rate in 2 years most of Europe will be digging around in waste tips looking for food and burning furniture for heat.
I fully expect at least 1 internal civil war by then and possibly others as the intended disruption from the mass migration kicks in.
Personally I think they flooded the continent in the last few years in preparation for this to ensure Europe had a massive internal issue to preventing it pulling together when they collapsed it.
Agreed.
Same reason they are flooding us with “immigrants” from the worst cultures of the world.
Not as voters, or workers, but as berserkers, those that will tear down everyone and everything when their Utopia-R-Us cards are declined.
Societies will be too busy fending them off to organize effectively against the Derp State.
Yep. Its the same playbook.
for those crowing about Germany getting pain, listen up you are looking at your own future as its the same globohomo running both continents.
There are innocents in all lands who will bear the brunt of any conflict or collapse, not even if animosity to a people was justified is wishing such calamities upon the innocent justified.
Rarely are our animosities truly justified in the first place.
Nous sommes tous freres.
Maybe this mess wouldn’t have happened if we’d had Trump. But anyway, if we can win Midterms and then with Trump 2024, hopefully we can lend our cousins a hand.
We are doing the same, just a little later.
God Bless You Albert and all.
Respectfully disagree. Not about the friend part.
I’m concerned the giant nation devouring black hole forming will suck up the whole world.
Götterdämmerung!
Exactly. This is a EU energy position. Citizens of other EU countries will start demanding to ignore the policy, demanding to leave EU, or both.
History repeats every time lessons if the past are ignored. It’s inevitable.
These leaders are ignorant of history and they truly believe they are above reproach.
History is the most important subject to understand…it’s a roadmap of the future.
The election this Sunday in Italy is going to be very telling.
they will do as the US has done. Sell its debts to china AND russia.
and when that doesn’t work, they will transfer assets.
not necessarily in that order.
Germany is going to have a major economic crisis ….again.
And yes, this does also make make me nervous. Germany specifically has a habit of going nazi party and that brand of nationalism every single time they hit rock bottom. I hope they don’t go there, but there is a definite large segment of germans who continue to have this superiority complex….it’s been passed along to the radical progressive state political parties now. Hopefully, germans get engaged now and recognize the risks of allowing this current regime to continue but also to be very wary about what political members who are standing near the curtains waiting to reestablish a german nationalist “social” party…all over again.
Yes, the world is changing… Hoping history does not repeat itself …again…
God Bless America
Germans have never been able to look at themselves as a cause for their troubles, this time will be no different unfortunately. They have had decades of advantageous trade and banking, their safety has been assured by the U.S and so they spent on society. When this starts collapsing… they will rise. The only question in my mind is which group will be the scapegoats this time.
What happened the last time that Germany experienced hyperinflation? keep your seat belt buckle nearby
last time: 1972-1974
oil embargo
two major regional wars
but those causes were very different.
the current crisis is purely self imposed.
but to be fair, this isn’t history repeating itself. this doesn’t even rhyme even though the effects (symptoms) are similar.
this is the same country incapable of producing a sound and durable nation security energy policy.
that seems to be the common denominator with Germany over a long period of time.
this is the same problem the US is now facing.
the problem is rooted directly with shifting political policies…that are subject to change each 4 – 6 years.
even sound national security energy policies cannot withstand the force of change when power is transferred so frequently.
this is one of the reasons why “democracies” tend to experience the extremes, more than most.
for better or for worst, our lives are literally subjected to at least one or two political parties who do not share common goals for national energy policy.
It’s one of those areas, where politics and the nature of politics is so toxic to real lives…now global in proportion.
God Bless America
Our political lurches are so extreme that I presume the world views us as schizophrenic and wants as little to do with us as possible.
Historically they are fine dealing with our money and production. Sure they think we are schizo, and we are, but that’s not an issue until we quit spending.
At least Germany hasn’t spent the last decade importing tens of thousands of economic migrants prone to rioting over the smallest of perceived slights and provocations.
That would really be bad for Germany’s social stability, especially if such nonexistent economic migrants happened to have a religious or cultural history hostile to European civilization.
Thankfully, that is not the case and Germany does not need to worry about tens of thousands of freezing, hungry, out of work, desperate foreigners with nothing to do this winter.
You so foney! LOL
Good thing for sure…
The trolls agree.
Others may need a /s
I have said that for months now. You think those Muslims with 8 to 110 children are going to sit idly by when they can’;t feed or keep their kids warm. They will be the first ones rioting. Then what will the Germans do, shoot them?
I’ve been saying it as well. The “new” Germans as merkle called them will not just stop at the locals, I expect they will go after the politicians too and possibly first.
well, they won’t have any gas…so shooting is the next option I think.
Go old time Swiss, hand out the old cold war armories to everyone with an actual German high school/trade school degree and a clean record.
If only those leaders weren’t in on it.
All the humans they’ve trafficked into GE should help!
Especially when resources are scarce!
The German economy is on the verge of total collapse and along with it the rest of Europe and it is all tied to one decision. The decision by the United States to foment a proxy war between Russia and Ukraine.
The groundwork was set in 2014 with the US engineered coup in Kiev. The chief architects of that coup in 2015 are in charge today. Joe Biden, Antony Blinken and Victoria Nuland. These three people are responsible for the thousands of dead Ukrainians and Russians and the coming collapse of the World economy (it won’t stop in Europe).
If these three; Biden, Blinken and Nuland get their way we will be in WW3 soon and be facing a real threat of total nuclear annihilation of the planet.
A reminder that Nuland comes from a family of warmongers. These are the people responsible for so much misery and destruction in the world today from Syria to Iraq and all the way to the Ukraine:
No, the decision was made by the G7 minus Japan that they should follow WEF dictates. And here we are.
I only hope Switzerland gets it as hard as Germany.
Actually it is all tied to the stupid Covid 19 lock downs and closed down of almost the whole western world!!!! I predicted this in May 2020 and I am just a common man with no Harvard degree. You cant stooped the economies for almost 2 years and have no consequences. I also said then it will end up in wars because that is what history points at. The war in Ukraine was provoked by the west to cover up all their criminal behavior during the pandemic so people will blame Putin instead of them. Of course because the western governments can’t now back off the war in Ukraine will be the last straw which will undo us all.
..and the German UN delegation chuckled and laughed at our VSGPOTUS, Donald J. Trump, as he predicted this German economic disaster..

I was hoping someone would link this.
We should all watch it at least once per week for the next few months.
Germany, and pretty much the whole of the EU, is in real trouble. I constantly harken back to that German politician that said no matter how dire things get for her constituents it is pedal to the metal on Russian sanctions… In my eyes it is the intentional destruction of the Western economies writ large. Scary times, folks.
“Stop the roller-coaster! I want off this ride!” Sorry kid, not till the coaster gets back to the station…
When the German people take to the streets to take down their government and jail the Ministers, I’ll be convinced this matters. Sadly, I suspect most people have no idea their government is intentionally doing this to them whether it was under the pretext of “saving lives” during the scamdemic or the fake war with Russia.
None of this changes, in their country or in ours, until the criminals currently occupying our government are arrested and left to die in prison.
None of this chaos is possible without first owning the media and then dumbing the dumbable
No! Not left to die in prisons! They should be tried, convicted and then executed for war crimes! Enough of these “engineered” World Wars! It’s time to start treating these mass murderers the way they should be treated.
German inflation is really starting to pinch. The price of one wheelbarrow is now two wheelbarrows.
The reactions to the declaration of the pandemic revealed that most individuals had never come to terms with the reality of their own death. The reactions reveal the previous assumptions.
I suspect that the reactions to irreducible minimums for a functional economy, and the connected collapse, are going to reveal that most have never come to terms with the reality of how the dots are connected. The reactions will reveal previous assumptions.
Reacting is not a good use of my limited resources and strength: I do need to respond as well as possible to reality.
Gruesome Newsom is pretending he has the economy to beat Germany’s. I think it’s a Race To The Bottom.
Who sang the song, “Who’s sorry now?”
Oh yeah! Germany!
Connie Francis did a nicer job.
I lived in frankfurt from 1972-1975. Those who remember this was a period considered to be the first major oil crisis. Fuel was very expensive and scarce. The officials declared Sundays, no driving unless for work or some emergent reason.
My father ignored the “law”. He was a US military officer. He did not care about German “law”. we traveled extensively throughout europe and germany in 72 and 73 when this oil crisis happened and the stay at home and conserve edicts were announced. It’s just part of my family culture. We just don’t give a flying rip about “crisis” and what the state has to say about freedom of movement. The way we looked at it was: Germany was defeated by allied forces and OUR AMERICAN PATRIOTS. We were not living in Germany because we wanted to. It was duty. An obligation. Germany was not competent at the time to achieve energy policies that were effective. Some things have never changed.
Now that I see my own nation, the US, specifically the obama and the biden regime doing the same damn things to ruin an economy and cripple it with incompetence and intentional acts of willful abuse and refusal to create strong and durable energy policies, makes me madder than most. I’ve seen it before and it’s all avoidable. It is a created crisis based on incompetence, greed, crisis mode thinking that never achieves any margins of space for eventual problems (over supply, reserves, contingent contracts, statemanship). I am madder than most my age, because I saw this at a young age. traveling across europe and rarely seeing any cars on the road on Sundays. Not even light traffic for church goers. It was a surreal experiencre. I was young and did not quite understand how something like this could happen. It would form my world view about such matters.
When I look at the obama, the joe malarkey show, I have that deja vue all over again…it’s something you can actually feel and smell in the air.
It feels like corruption and a lack of leadership and it always smells like fear.
Ironically, it is the same two feelings when I moved back state side and lived in the DC area. Different crisis, but never ending, everything was a nail that needed a hammer. overkill on speed. I never felt “at home” around DC. Maybe this also made me different too. I had a paper route and delivered the sunday washington post to over 200 residents in my neighborhood. Back when people actually read newspapers. 4 pounds each! (lots of bicycle time to cover my route…my first real hard job) In the course of this work, obviously I was reading the national news. Now, 13 years old. Never a good story. Everything was bad news. Corruption. Crisis. Political wars.
some of you know the rest of the story…My life has been very strange. But with great parents. And great friends. And a steady commitment to learning about Christ in church, I made it out the other side without too much of that craziness entering my psyche.
When I read the “news” these days, and especially about what is wrong with Germany, I always react:
really? again? Why does this seem to always be the same problem over and over and over again.
It’s about leadership…
{we are truly asking the wrong people to fix problems.}

I wonder if Joe is offended with any concern that might be expressed. “You’re acting like it just JUMPED to 45.8% all at once. It was only 7.9. Just a couple of inches.”
We’re watchin’ you, Joe.
“Right now, Germany is on the cusp of a full-blown economic meltdown”. Yeah, it’s called a depression. Build Back Better – ain’t it great. Serves them right. Unfortunately, we’re in the same boat if Republicans don’t take back the House and Senate in November (2022) and put a stop to it here by whatever means necessary.
The Germish Government hasn’t pretended this much since 1945.
“Steiner will come! And Joe Biden, too!”
The Gubmint of Germany will fall this winter and be replaced with a dictator of the proletariat.
“Economics Robert Habeck (pictured below) has no idea how to handle it.”
I don’t know Sundance, he looks like handles it pretty well.
I mean look at how he’s holding that piece of paper in his hands while pointing to some squiggly lines with his glasses.
This guys “Joe cool.”
Do THOSE Germans still have THEIR jobs, homes, cars, savings etc.?
Including the lady on the left, chewing her cud.
They’re not sending their best, folks!
Who’s laughing now?

Looks like Germany is going to have its biggest year with lies meeting reality since 1945. Oddly, at the hands of the same two (successor) governments, albeit with a much different dynamic.
When do these increases reach our shores?
Trump warned the Krauts and they laughed at him.
This isn’t about the Russians. This is about absolute faith in non working ‘green energy’.
Yep the entire media in Europe is pushing this just like covid and lockdowns.
One would think Russia had invaded the Vatican for no reason at all given the news and propaganda.
You would be amazed how many people think its Russia causing all this and the governments are manfully struggling on behalf of their populations.
The stupidity is an endless sea.
Nice picture, although in reality Klaus should have his back to us, a small wand in his hand and his arms raised conducting his orchestra.
The Nine Douchebags of the Apocalypse.

I’m moving on from Stihl products made in Germany. I’ll purchase only their repair parts from now on.
Maneuvering in this “new world order” is getting more interesting by the week
Buckle up Treeps!

Frank Field: Heh! I just did my monthly test of my Honda gasoline-fueled, carbon-emitting generator, today. I’m in California, where, in 2028, gasoline-powered generators of the kind still available today will be verboten.
I had 6 Stihl chainsaws on the farm for pruning almond trees. Best saws available 40 years ago.
They still are very good, but beware if you buy one now…parts may no longer be available.
Hello Frank,
I know for a fact that Stihl chainsaws are built in Virginia Beach. Not sure how many other of their products are built here in the US but pretty sure there are more.
European schemes to shield utilities and households from the full brunt of oil, gas and coal price hikes mean massive fiscal deficits, largely financed by creating more euros.
That is, government-initiated social protections against inflation only serve to fan the flames of inflation, potentially entrenching it, as in the 1970s.
Supposedly, Germans harbor a visceral dread of inflation, thanks to bad memories of the Weimar hyperinflation of 1923. Certainly they did in the 1980s, when Germany still charted its own monetary course with the Deutschmark.
But do they now? Even if the answer is yes, what can Germany do when it’s lashed into the European Target2 system, and owed over a trillion euros by the other members?
Germany is well and truly cornered. That is, unless it expels its yankee occupiers, opens the taps on Nord Stream 2, and tells US exporters of LNG to take a hike.
But 77 years of occupation have turned Germans into gerbils, cowering in the corner of their cage.
Surely it can’t happen here! /sarc
That’s a pretty terrifying picture, not a single truck moving in the entire port.
Just at a tradeshow. Vendor next to us is a major German manufacturer of parts for our industry. Get to talking and they want to get us a demo of their unit. Rep says for us to order it through an authorized distributor and they will reimburse us. Says price should be about $1500 all in.
Call a distributor and get the quote… $3000!
When the German manufacturer team is so far removed from reality how can their government be any closer?
SILAS: One of my favorite movies. A real time capsule of American character and sentiment during WWII in Europe.
Looks like this is the greatest deafest of the Germans by the Russians since 1945.
“We have to destroy the economy to save Mother Earth Goddess Gaia.”
Guiding green philosophy.
Mark my words. They will shoot their own population in the street before stopping the sanctions that are killing the economy.
Germany has already said they are deploying their military to handle German streets in Oct.
Probably why they don’t want to supply their leopard tanks to Ukraine. They might need them.

any response to this article about a leaked document saying they(US PTB) wants to tank the EU and German economy to save the US.
Here you go, pretenders:
The next step is Germany declaring the shortages an emergency and telling people to stay home for two weeks to flatten the demand.
It’s going to get really ugly, everywhere, isn’t it.
Worse than you can possibly imagine.
A deeeeeep worldwide depression is coming.
Gold, food, guns, ammo……..
God is in control. Knowing that I sleep well! No worries!
Fixing this is EASY. Turn off the Green New Deal…
” The Moorburg power plant, opened in 2015, was one of the most modern, innovative and efficient coal-fired power plants in Europe. With its two units, it was able to generate 11 terawatt hours of electricity per year, each with an output of 827 megawatts. This was enough for the entire Hamburg region. It was shut down in 2021 after only six years of operation. Now it is to be completely demolished. There is hardly any other example that more impressively illustrates the complete suicidal insanity of German energy policy.” (my emphasis)

Excellent article. Thanks for keeping us informed. Heartbreaking.
Lots of moving parts. Interestingly, I just learned they’ve only had a small overall change in their energy mix – but that can have massive impacts.
– 50% of their energy mixture reportedly from renewable. Yes, wind down a little.
– Natural gas reduced from 10% to 5% bc of Russia shutting off supplies.
– Shutting down 75% of their nuclear power plants wasn’t wise. Hence, no leeway in energy supplies.
– I believe they’re also subsiding a large energy company, now burning coal, and NG reserves are at 90%.
