Former Governor of Florida Rick Scott, the current head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, has taken some hits in the past for his go-along-get-along persona. However, in an op-ed today the Florida Senator pushes back against the DeceptiCon influence.
It is refreshing to see a republican politician taking the arrogance of the McConnell crew to task. It is even more refreshing to see Senator Scott use the atomic sledgehammer of truth:
[…] …”when you complain and lament that we have “bad candidates,” what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them. Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington’s chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters.”
[read op-ed Here]
Perhaps, Senator Scott recognizes the intention of the McConnell clan, an intention that runs counter to the responsibility of his job as chairman of the NRSC. It is a matter of factual accuracy that McConnell and his DeceptiCon wing do indeed have contempt for the voters within the republican party. This larger truth has been very visible for many years.
It’s good to see someone from inside the upper chamber start to call them out. Unfortunately, if history serves a roadmap for the reaction from the DeceptiCons, Scott will likely be cast into the same furnace of hate previously occupied by Senator Jim DeMint.
In the interim, he has my full support. Thank you, Senator Scott…. More please.
Hopefully more follow suit tomorrow after Xiden proclaims 70% of American extremist and must be brought to heel.
Amazing Times we are in now
I don’t know if you meant it or if it was just hyperbole, but your 70% estimate is really close to accurate. Most honest statisticians/pollsters know the split is at least 60/40. I personally think it’s closer to 65/35. Elections managed by machines and machinations make it look only 50/50. That’s the con game that started about the year 2000.
Don’t count on it. the number of true MAGA senators could fit quite comfortably in a 4 door Chevy with a Uber driver.
“Perhaps, Senator Scott recognizes the intention of the McConnell clan, an intention that runs counter to the responsibility of his job as chairman of the NRSC.”
That’s exactly it. Rick Scott stands for nothing but his own self interest. If he didn’t have the job he wouldn’t care.
Perhaps. But while our interests align lets make some hay!
Scott is a con man- Globalist extrodinaire. See my post.
All politicians are self interested. They are different in their ideas about what is in their own best interests. Maybe Rick Scott is clearing a few things up in his own mind. We can hope because we need all of the help we can get.
A couple of months ago, he put forth this “Rescue Plan” to restore America. (Www.https://rescueamerica.com/12-point-plan/). Mitch has put forth nothing, off course, because he doesnt care about us.
Scott was a fair gov in FL, nor spectacular, but OK. He is very low key.
He grew up poor, in public housing, founded a large health care consortium and became wealthy, also had a lawsuit with Medicare. He’s a different kind of guy, hard to read.
This could be a good move for us, well see.
Red Flag law? Illegal state contracts to his wife’s company? Turning Central FL blue?? That Rick Scott. He is a con man and Globalist for self enrichment.
Maybe he wants McConell’s job.
Scott is lying.
“If he didn’t have the job he wouldn’t care”.
Noticing that armchairs who imagine they can read the minds of total strangers tend to then report those strangers secret thoughts are despicable.
Rather than offering psychic readings, I prefer reacting to positive actions with encouragement, praise and prayers.
Especially since GOPe savvy Sundance is from Florida, as is Senator Scott, I was heartened to see that Sundance also chose the carrot rather than the stick reaction.
Scott is NO hero. A Con man and Globalist. Sundance should know this. Any failure of the Senate this election rests on Scott as he has the purse strings and stated he would only allow the money for incumbents. Backing Murkowski and running ads against exceptional candidates – this is just one example.
Oh, so you know the mind of Rick Scott, then? You’re not just making up cynical BS to justify being mad at everybody?
He is an amazing man who was a terrific Governor I am so blessed to live in FL.
He back tracked on his positions on education to win reelection. He signed off on gun control to get into the Senate.
He backed down on many things, one being ending alimony for ever.
He’s better than who he replaced but that is a bar that lays on the ground.
He s*ucked as gov.
FL doesn’t have a good senator.
A far cry from the communists that we have in Georgia. Waiting to see if Herschel can pull out a victory but expect him to be manipulated by the RNC. It would still be better than Warnock.
Yes, I am having trouble with this Rick Scott also. I think what we have here is good reporting…but I DO NOT share any sentiments that Tim Scott is maga…or even anything. I’ve done the background sweep.
He looks, acts, speaks and operates like a slippery political worm.
But that’s just my opinion.
It gets tiresome here and other places pointing out the MANY FACTS that so many voters seem to want to compeletely ignore.
At this point, I really think it is a combination of cognitive dissonance, or ignorance (whether intentional or not), or just laziness to actually verify a representative.
that has to end. It must. Otherwise, we are all going to continue to vote for, support and fuel the very thing we are opposed to.
we need to be better at this…and in my opinion it starts with comparing President Trump AS THE GOLD STANDARD.
jmho
God Bless America
From up close and personal experiences, Scott.. “slippery political worm”. Pressure is on him where he lives.
I completely agree that what President Donald J. Trump thinks respectively of Rick Scott, and of Ron DeSantis, is the gold standard of actual data (signal, not noise, as Bannon would say).
Well, let’s see.
PDJT’s endorsements for this year. Endorsed Scott, but did not endorse DeSantis.
PDJT did endorse DeSantis in 2018. But not, significantly, in 2022.
https://ballotpedia.org/Endorsements_by_Donald_Trump
That’s certainly a big one in the Scott column for me.
And yes I will keep on watching and learning. I know Sundance actually lives in Florida.
However, I don’t know that for sure about many posters here, either.
Just a thought, probably way off the mark but I will share. Those close to Trump, if the Corrupticons can ever manage to frame him for Jay-walking, will be targeted also. It may behoove DeSantis to move a bit out of Trump’s shadow. Be supportive (maybe with the wrong Social Media account) and be respectful but develop his own street creds.
Probably just the rationalizations of an old man who remembers the nasial intonations of Harry S. Truman on the radio. Grandpa would never miss a Truman speech but he had to keep the volume low so Grandma didn’t have to listen to that “insufferable Democrat”!
Of course those close to Trump will be targeted by his enemies! They are desperate to retain power!
Those brave enough to walk with Trump are in the arena with him, taking some hits and overlapping their shields to help him.
DeSantis is doing a great job at the state level, and showing the way for the other red states. He has plenty of time to be president AFTER Trump is done fixing this mess. If he distances himself from Trump he is lost to me, simple as that.
These enemies of our Republic, both parties, know the only real threat to them is Trump. If he goes down we all do. The fight is on now, and we need to fight down and dirty and destroy them “by any means necessary”!!
That’s all bs I’m.aTrump voter nobody has targeted me.after November the Democrat Party will be done in Florida for decades
Scott is a con man- plain and simple. He did a lot of damage to FL that never got the attention of voters. Red Flag law? Illegal State Contracts for personal enrichment. Scott is a snake.
One of the best Governor s Florida has ever had
Wow! Well said!
Senator Scott did vote against certifying Pennsylvania – one of 7 Republican Senators.
These 7 senators voted to sustain the objection against Pennsylvania’s electoral votesAn objection to certify Pennsylvania’s electoral votes failed in the Senate tonight, with a 92-7 vote.
Here are the seven Republican senators who voted to sustain the objection:
Senator John Kennedy voted against the certification of Arizona – so there were a total of 8 Senators who did this.
Need poll watchers in local swamps.
Makes uniparty subterfuge, collusion, and fraud against American grass-root voters harder.
“Please go to SaveYourRepublic.org to learn how to become a poll worker or poll watcher where you live. Thank you.”

As long as we have month+ voting “seasons” and mail-in/drop box voting the results will always be suspicious. It would be so easy and cheap (not “inexpensive” but cheap) to implement a totally secure automated voting system as trustworthy as paper ballots.
Again, interesting that a poster up above said that Rick Scott was one of the Senators on the right side of this.
Scott was on the right side because there was something in it for him. He quickly got in line after that failed.
Got a robocall this evening. Message in a nutshell: The Democrats are destroying this country. Let DeSantis finish the job Trump started. Join our campaign for DeSantis to run 2024. Blah, blah, blech.
IGNORE!
You have to spend money, to make money. The cost of doing business.
“I have to make a living.” – Mike Pence
It’s hard to ignore, but the more money they waste asking for money, the more their benefactors have to foot the bill.
America first candidates are mostly independent, they run better campaigns on less money. In other words, MAGA money is worth more then uniparty money, because it’s not politically inflated by fake news fiat.
The more you inflate uniparty money, the less political value it has. Put another way, MAGA money has more political purchasing power, you often get more then you paid for, not less.
MAGA Building Better. My opinion only.
Not just yours. We’ve seen it in action.
I think we will see it in action again in the New Hampshire Senate election this year. Don Bolduc is the real deal and has built his honest grassroots support brick by brick.
I will cut you a break, I don’t think this is what you meant but I sounds like only the wealthy self supporting individuals should run for office. Otherwise where does one tap into this sanitized “MAGA stash” with no strings attached?
lol. Join our campaign…Fake Election Great Again!
Who were the marketing wizards that came up with that one?
They announce themselves. /s
I just read a piece somewhere discussing the ongoing feud between Peter Thiel and Mitch McConnell. Apparently, McConnell is threating to leave his two favorite candidates for Senate high and dry without funding from his PAC which had already dedicated funds to advertise in the general election but, Mitch is pulling the plug since Peter blew Mitch’s candidates out of the water with his own men and his own money in the primaries. Perhaps others are taking heart seeing Thiel take on Cocaine Mitch and his despotic rule in the Senate. Both candidates have made disparaging remarks about our minority leader thus earning them his lifelong hatred I suspect.
Not sure where, but I read that article.
It was posted on citizenfreepress.com yesterday. I read it too. Interesting article. I would think that McConnell needs Thiel more than Thiel needs McConnell – but I don’t know the inside game. Just an opinion.
Thanks for the lead. I will look up the article.
No McConnell fan here. When I contribute it’s direct to the candidate not to the Party or PAC.
McCONnell will support a dem before a MAGA republican who would not vote for him as senate party leader.
Nice.
Thank you Senator Scott.
Scott is a con man. He has the purse strings for the GOP Senate Election Committee and stared the money will only be to back incumbents-aka RINOS- aka Murkowski and others. He is actively running attack ads against exceptional America First Candidates.
Glad Sen. Scott is running the NRSC. He wouldn’t be doing it if he didn’t want his candidates to win. Maybe we have a new Senate Majority leader to replace the turtle!
Oh No- Scott is only funding incumbents. Scott is a con man.
McConnell is doing more than just badmouthing candidates he doesn’t like. He’s starving them of funds. He’s pulled ad buys in Arizona and is actually working against the MAGA Republican in New Hampshire. He’s not giving money to Vance in Ohio, either. The message is very clear: give me the candidates I want or you don’t get any money.
That will only make our wins even more valuable.
And likely – if we make sure enough voters know about this.
The media on our side is more powerful every day, too.
It’s worse then that.
His cynical and open disdain for new voters, to increase party ranks, tells you he has nothing to lose by leading the CheneyCon Clique and the GOP back to 2008.
That’s what McRINOs call “winning”. JMO.
Scott holds the purse strings.

As usual the CTH was way ahead of the curve on this issue but others have begun to weigh in. For instance “The Federalist” has been working out on McConnell, who’s earned every bit of his extremely low poll numbers. Here’s a scathing report from a week ago:
https://thefederalist.com/2022/08/24/trump-is-right-mitch-mcconnell-and-elaine-chao-spent-decades-getting-rich-on-china/
“For the sake of the party—and more importantly, for the sake of the country (specifically, saving it from further depredations by congressional Democrats and Mr. Biden)—Mr. McConnell needs to be replaced by someone younger, more attractive and articulate, and more media-savvy.”:
https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2022/aug/29/editorial-does-mitch-mcconnell-even-want-to-win-in/
No kidding. Neither Mitch nor Kevin McCarthy is a decent orator.
Sadly I believe Thune from SD is being groomed as McConnell’s replacement. I remember Hew Hewett going all gaga over Thune when he first ran for the Senate.
Not just no to Thune, a big HELL NO!!!
👊👊👊
Take this as more good news. The Machine functions on its own time-table. We’re free-thinking independent particles of it with a deep conscience which drive us to seek some actions which are actually taking place through all the other particles around us.
We just go about our business cheerfully and happily as wily as serpents and when the Machine starts changing you’ll recognize it.
We’re in a Culture War, and as we continue to win the battles on the ground thereby changing the character of the Machine our vote will reflect this. The voting outcome is a reflection not a determining element. We have a much more critical form of expression than our votes, THAT’S HOW WE CONDUCT OURSELVES. That’s how the democrats did it (in a negative way), it doesn’t happen overnight.
The conditioning effect of society at large is a force we can’t fully comprehend, we’re the impulse of that force. The ripple effect of a good person is awesome.
So “Bloom where you are and pull out the weeds.”
I’m loving Sen. Scott’s coming out party! There is no doubt in my mind, he is synchronizing this message with the ‘nod’ of a certain past POTUS and businessman.
He may last longer than Sen. DeMint did since we are at a different point in our Constitutional Republic’s War with the communist enemy within.
Time will tell for sure; we’ll see what happens.
McConnell is a crook the only way to fix this country is to have sonone beat him. Our Governor can’t stand him
The Senate needs another old fashioned caning on the floor.
Supportive. We need to celebrate and encourage the good that people do. This is no time for nit picking or trawling over past grievances.
I am not so sure that makes a convincing argument for voters who experiences President Trump and now have the correct gauge by which to measure political people.
He changed the world.
I am not sliding back to the pre-Trump zoned out, hopium addicted, status quo, the enemy of my enemy is my friend bullshit.
no longer willing to just get past old grievances.
Can’t say what Americans will do, but in the case of Rick Scott, there is plenty of issues that cause the screetching sound across the chaulk board.
I am NOT looking for perfection. So lets not even go there. I am looking for unimpeachable character and talent and a willingness and ability to BRING THE FIGHT TO THE ENEMY.
writing a damned op ed doesn’t even move the needle.
Hear, hear! You aren’t buying the flavor of the moment either? I’m kind of, “What have you done for me lately?”
Give him a bit, he will stumble just like DeSantis.
Yes- more please. Lots more…more sunlight
Maybe he follows Sundance and saw the article making reference to…where are the MAGA Republicans calling out the decepticons destroying the Republican Party err Maga party?
If there is dispute among the Senate Republicans then they are getting ready to pick their next replacement. So don’t be surprised to hear from a few more breaking ranks. I think they know that MAGA’s may be coming in and they want their replacement made before they get there.
I’d be careful jumping on their bandwagon so fast. Rick Scott I don’t think really ever recognized Trump, never really said anything to show his support of him. I’d hate to have another Senate speaker should Trump win another Presidency term that will stonewall him like McConnell. They were all more or less complicit with everything McConnell did to Trump.
Just very leery now a days. I just can’t get excited about any of these old boys that have been in there and never fought hard about the election being stolen. Too many also still give Biden what he wants too.
Don’t forget some of his actions as Governor and since being a Senator. He can be bullied / pushed if the price is right, just like DeSantis.
I would hope Scott feels the winds shifting and is aligning himself accordingly.
How refreshing to see a politician who is sincere about representing his people! Rare indeed.
Thank you, thank you Senator Scott
Yes thank you. We have an excellent senatorial candidate here in Arizona. Blake Masters is a brilliant young family man and will make an excellent conservative representative. He is only 4 points behind the incumbent yet he is not getting the money from the RNC that he should. You can’t win an election for senate without millions. His opponent is a big gun control liberal
McConnell has a problem with most of the Trump backed candidates like Blake and want to see them defeated. He is the same as the Rockefeller and Bush dept icons that we have had to deal with for ages.
if you think Biden hates us well he is no difference than the Bushes and McConnell who think conservatives are beneath them . beneath them.
McConnell broke the Tea Party after the 2010 Election because his dear personal friend from Colorado lost. He is attempting the same thing with MAGA today.
I think it’s important to note that it’s not just ‘Republican’ voters, but independents and even some Democrats that support the populist movement. It’s the populists that the elitists disdain.
an op-ed is a strongly worded letter that is publicly published.
it contains nothing more feelings, sentiment.
and that’s ok.
but truly, until I SEE THIS:
A FORMAL DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
we are at war. There is no getting around this reality. You can dismiss it. You can ignore it. You can try to dance around it.
but those that are not involved in the war, EITHER SIDE…will end up paying the biggest cost:
complacency…lack of character….void of direction…useless to their own self interest. cowards.
yes, cowards.
when you look in the house next door and you hear the screams of the children in the blaze…you don’t write strongly worded letters. you don’t mope around and put your fist into the air and fume about it.
You grab some buckets and a damned ladder.
the house is on fire. You DON’T hear the screams?
I imagine this is easy for some people to glance past…it’s someone else’s problem..I’ve got my own.
the reckoning..it’s coming…ready or not..
everything else is a cheap knockoff and a poor excuse for having no courage to put INTO ACTION, words.
The reality is the RNC does not want to win control of the House and Senate; if they did they would be forced to do something. They like the status quo, and their enhanced fundraising by falsely railing against the dems. Then at their cocktail parties in the district, they raise their little pinkies from their glass and bash the “rubes” in flyover country.
The entire American system is rigged, this government is a cancer.
Is he still giving Senate campaign money to RINOs who oppose Trump?
Does the bear scat in the woods?
Why do the conservatives in their state keep on voting for McConnell and his DeceptiCon wing. Thank you Wyoming in getting rid Of RINO Liz Chaney.
And that is all he will do. Talk, talk, talk, talk…complain, complain, complain, And then COMPLY. I am sick and tired of Republicans in both houses of congress. Until a new breed comes in and fights the way Democrats fight, it is nothing but theater.
I remember when McConnell was heard on conference call way back when that he hated the tea parties. Now it seems that a book describing the events of January 6 admit that McConnell was all in and wanted “Trump to get what he deserved”.
He is compromised by China. He is an obstacle to the Republican party and at a minimum, his leadership needs to be rescinded.
Wow I’m glad he grew/ found his cajones! Great job Sen Scott!
What we need is more COURAGIOUS senator like Scott. McConnell is a COWARD who won’t stand up for America.
He also put out a Republican Agenda ala Newt Gingrich.
Successful Governors and ex-Governors have leadership qualities and find it hard to be quiet when things are so off the tracks.
All Right then! Out with DeSantis and in with Senator Scott!
Not so sure about Senator Scott. I live here in Florida and have emailed said senator several times only to get the canned responses. A recent email from him/them basically stated that Senator Scott had Floridians best interest in mind. I replied with 2 questions. 1. If Protecting the people Florida is something in your aim why do you endorse RINO Republicans (Lisa Murkowski)? and 2. Donald Trump is a Floridian, what is your take on the Mara-Largo raid? my response was no response at all.
Don’t forget Scott pushed through and signed a red flag law, and bills that limited the ability of honest citizens to buy guns. He, GOP majority in Legislature, and now DeSantis refuse to even introduce a Constitutional carry bill. Can’t be MAGA and anti-gun in our part of Florida.
I’m just glad he wrote it, he knows how harmful McConnell is.
If Senator Scott decides to join MAGA, he will discover just how popular he can be, whereas by clinging to the Decepticon group, we despise them back, and have not regard or respect for them.
Yo MAGA!
Florida’s Tea Party elected outsider Rick Scott. (Former HCA executive who resigned right before US DOJ fined HCA $1.2 billion for Medicare fraud). He better defend the MAGA voters. They are precisely the ones who elected him.
https://www.justice.gov/archive/opa/pr/2003/June/03_civ_386.htm
DOJ press release on $1.7 billion judgment against HCA
No reason to trust Voldemort:
https://www.colodnyfass.com/blog/rick-scott-and-his-role-in-columbia-hca-scandal
Read John Schilling’s book “Undercover-How I Went from Company Man to FBI Spy ans Exposed the worst Healthcare Fraud in US History”, AMACON, 2008. Chairman and CEO Rick Scott was ousted by the Columbia/HCA Board of Directors following the July 1997 FBI raid of 36 Columbia/HCA offices in 6 states.
Really not hard to figure out how Scott was able to self fund his political campaign-off the blood sweat and tears of overworked nurses and unsuspecting patients…..
I am very curious why so many treepers here are not willing to do the deep dive on senator Rick Scott.
have we learned nothing?
please continue your reporting.
leave no stone unturned.
we can take the pressure of truth.
what we cannot do is avoid the truth and hide under a rock.
God Bless America
@Sundance This is rich from Scott as he has the purse strings of the Rep Senatorial Election Committee. He stated the money would only be allocated to incumbents. He has put more money against America First Candidates to keep them away from the voters, thereby selecting the candidates for the GOP tickets. Rick Scott is a Criminal, Liar, thief, and Globalist extrodinair. Brought in Red Flag Laws, gave State Contracts Worth millions to his wife’s company for Zika spraying, and openly advocated to turn central Florida Blue with his call and financial incentives for PRicans to come to Florida. Rick Scott is NO friend to America.
Scott is only using the money for RINO incumbents.
https://thenewamerican.com/nrsc-chair-rick-scott-ill-support-incumbents-over-trump-backed-primary-challengers/
Even if he is MAGA-Ultra-Light/ Koch or whatever, I’ll take him as majority leader over the Gobbler. Can’t be any worse right.
John Fredricks outlined this a couple of weeks ago Scott will challenge McConnell for leader after we win the senate.
