Schools, kids, safety, woke pushback, media bias etc, keep the audiences nodding yes. Ultimately, it’s a sales technique. Identify with the target to influence their decisions.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is not to be challenged, not really. Keep the message social and build the emotional connection. It is harder to break an emotional bond than a logical or cognitive bond.

I’m actually a little surprised that DeSantis went along with this ad. My spidey-sense tells me he knew it was cringy, but the outcome helps highlight what happens when the club starts making the decisions. The club has a habit of generating products into an audience they don’t understand.
Seems this ad was written with the 15 and 16 yo voters in mind.
Reaching the youth voting block, like young people eligible to vote in 2024, is huge. Getting that vote out, particularly influencing young minds which are still developing and most open to brainwashing, is a time honored tool of power brokers around the world.
It might not help him in November so much, but could, with kids talking with their parents and family members. It all matters, presuming your assessment of the ad is correct.

Don’t ignore the reality that Trump had his own image and marketing team and his own money to start running. DeSantis had neither and had no choice but to accept aid from the RNC. Hell he already had to accept it to be governor. We need to accept Ron and hold our nose at the establishment support and slot him in with Trump as the VP. Let him watch and learn as Trump takes the full force of the swamp and help Trump do what he can. Then he might make a good POTUS. Most presidential elections have the presidential candidate from the primary winner who generally chooses A different primary candidate as his vice presidential candidate. It’s not unusual.
Also, the reason for picking the vice presidential candidate from a runner-up in the primary is to unite the Party vote in the general election.

This ad is so “NOT” Ron Desantis – at least not from my perspective. My image of him had been more of a polished edge reactionary strategist. Not necessarily leading the charge. Say more of a chess player of sorts. He may have, prior to the obvious change in roles, been able to complement Trumps leadership but never replace it. It’s not in him. He simply doesn’t have the necessary traits. And now he probably isn’t going to have the votes from a National perspective. Time is the teller of all.
There are two possible paths for him.
The good path (and the consummation most devoutly to be wished) is that the club pushes him too far too fast and tries to force him into a compromise they want that is a bridge too far; and he backs out and exposes them.

I saw this on YouTube before I came to the TreeHouse and I had the same thought before reading Sundance’s article. It’s crystal clear to me that DeSantis has went over to the dark side, they must have paid him a lot of money knowing he’s right behind President Trump in a lot of polls and want him to be the challenger. This feels like Donald Trump versus Ted Cruz again. And the sad thing is many Republicans and Conservatives will be fooled and rather support DeSantis because he is “free of all the Trump drama”.

I was going to post a few paragraphs to that effect, but you nailed it in one line.
DeSantis is a politician, yes. But I would argue that the reason Trump was completely dogged by the Uniparty is that he didn’t know enough politically inclined people when he went to the White House and couldn’t find enough trustworthy supporters to fill all of his executive level positions inside the Government. The upside to electing a populist is that he has to run on his own. The downside is that he gets no organizational assistance from his Party. The good part about running from inside your Party is that you can carry your own policies with you to the White House and get the Party support you will need to enact any necessary legislation. I think DeSantis would do pretty well to thread this needle. He knows who his voters will be, regardless of whether or not he is politically attached to the Uniparty. If he is as smart and independent as I believe he is, he can possibly succeed in the areas where Trump will probably continue to fail. As far as draining the Swamp, I doubt that will ever happen and we are stuck with any expansions of Government that we have allowed. All I know is that, if we elect another Democrap, we will see another massive expansion of the Bureaucratic State and our free country will be completely destroyed.

Medicaid for Trans surgery- AZ just won 9th Circuit Appeals March 15, 2022 case because we wouldn’t pay for a Trans surgery. We have/had bills being written-not sure of status. This battle has been going on since 2020.
We have been battling Red4Ed for years. (Bona-fide Commies from CA). We have the worst Public Education in the country. We just passed 6500.00 per child vouchers for alternative education for all children-and that includes homeschooling.
And we did this-and more while battling election fraud and border invasion.

Back in May Ed Rollins said President Trump wasn’t running and launched ‘Ready for Ron’, a PAC to draft DeSantis.
Rollins has said the PAC will collect signatures on a petition urging DeSantis to run, but will also turn over those signatures (the PAC plans to acquire over 1 million nationwide by the end of this year), along with contact info, to the DeSantis camp, either before or after he declares a run for the presidency. If DeSantis doesn’t run for president, the PAC claims it will give the list to the 2024 RNC candidate.
Currently ‘Ready for Ron’ is trying to convince the FEC that the list shouldn’t be subject to regular finance laws which apply even during a ‘testing the waters’ stage. The FEC has stated a mailing list is a thing of value and must be reported as an in-kind contribution or that the PAC should receive fair market value for it. The PAC is telling the FEC that the petition/mailing list is just a public communication in support if DeSantis’ candidacy and shouldn’t be subject to campaign contribution limits. The FEC is unlikely to agree, and a list of 1 million potential donors would have a fair market value of around $50,000.
I always thought Rollins was a slime ball grifter, and now he’s gone too far in stating President Trump isn’t running even though there’s been no official yes or no from PDJT.
BTW, according to Florida Playbook newsletter, DeSantis got his first check from FL taxpayers the end of July — $3.35 million. This matching funds system was set up by democrats when they were in power in FL and republicans have condemned it as ‘welfare for politicians’. Many, including Rick Scott, declined the public money. DeSantis already had $129 million in his war chest, so taking taxpayer money isn’t a good look for him, especially if he runs for president.
DeSantis isn’t who we need as president, we need President Trump.
