U.S. taxpayers are now responsible for financially supporting the lifestyle of Ukrainian citizens directly. Earlier today the Biden administration sent $4.5 billion to the Ukraine government to pay for their “salaries, pensions, welfare and healthcare costs“; with an additional $1 billion in weapons. Total package $5.5 billion for Ukraine. Meanwhile, congressional members are doubling the size of the IRS enforcement to keep Americans paying for these expenditures.
Europe is not paying to support the lifestyle of their neighbors, we are. Somehow, I doubt that Germany would be willing to pay the expenses of the Mexican government – yet it is perfectly justified (in their mind) for the U.S. to carry the financial burden of Ukraine. The more you think about it, the more infuriating it becomes.
(Reuters) -The United States will send an additional $5.5 billion in aid to Ukraine, made up of $4.5 billion in budgetary support and $1 billion in military assistance, to help it come to grips with the turmoil of this year’s Russian invasion.
The $4.5 billion budgetary grant will fund urgent government needs including payments for pensions, social welfare and healthcare costs, bringing total U.S. fiscal aid for Ukraine to $8.5 billion since Russia’s February invasion, the U.S. Agency for International Development said.
The funding, coordinated with the U.S. Treasury Department through the World Bank, will go to the Ukraine government in tranches, beginning with a $3 billion disbursement in August, USAID said.
It follows previous transfers of $1.7 billion in July and $1.3 billion in June, USAID said. Washington has also provided billions of dollars in military and security support.
The $1 billion arms package announced by the Pentagon is the largest single military package under President Joe Biden’s drawdown authority, including long-range rocket munitions and armored medical transport vehicles. (read more)

It all makes sense if we assume that Zelensky has “the goods” on people like McConnell, Cornyn, Pelosi, Biden, et al. I’m betting he has documents proving corruption in which they were involved in Ukraine.
Why is dementia allowed to keep sending all these payments to Zelensky? Every week it’s another payment of 100’s of millions! Extortion payments from Biden, with our money, in hopes he keeps quiet about all the Biden family and us government crime?
The nuts in charge in Washington are hell-bound to destroy the US. The Ukraine debacle will drive spikes not nails into the dying US. All if it unnecessary if US stopped meddling in the affairs of other nations. So bloody sad!

Pfizer will spend about $5.4 billion to buy Global Blood Therapeutics as the pharmaceutical giant continues to invest some of the cash influx reaped during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pfizer said Monday that the acquisition will boost its work in rare hematology. Global Therapeutics, which was founded in 2011, makes Oxybryta tablets for treating sickle cell disease.
Pfizer has been flush with cash since its COVID-19 vaccine, Comirnaty, and its treatment, Paxlovid, have hit the market, starting with the vaccine in late 2020. The drug maker has now announced deals valued at a total of nearly $19 billion, counting debt, since late last year.
The latest deal follows Pfizer’s $11.6 billion acquisition of Biohaven, which the companies announced in May, and a $6.7 billion acquisition of Arena Pharmaceuticals announced last December.
Pfizer also detailed in April a smaller acquisition of the privately held ReViral Ltd., which is developing a treatment for respiratory syncytial virus. Sundance you are better than this. The money and munitions we are sending to Ukraine enable their military to commit war crimes. Rockets and launchers that the US has provided carry hundreds of petal mines to villages and cities in the Donbas.
A petal mine or PFM-1 is a small mine that looks like a butterfly, a toy. One rocket can carry over 300 to deposit in an area. The color of the small mines blends into grass and foliage. If stepped on, a child’s foot can be blown off. The mine will also detonate if picked up by a child. Residents have seen the trajectory of some of these rockets bearing evil loads, and they come from the west.
