Russia was particularly a geopolitical beneficiary from the agreement itself. No longer could NATO and the western alliance blame Russia for the void in gobal food markets associated with the conflict in Ukraine.
From the perspective of Russian President Putin, the grain movement through the port city of Odesa was a net benefit. “Russia has taken on the obligations that are clearly spelled out in this document. We will not take advantage of the fact that the ports will be cleared and opened. We have made this commitment,” said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
However, from the perspective of the Western alliance, the agreement mooted one of their biggest justifications for the upcoming global food shortage. If Ukraine and Russia are exporting food, and yet food costs are still rising…. well, the food shortage impact from western energy disruption, the Build Back Better agenda, starts to become increasingly visible.
Suddenly, within hours of the trade agreement, the grain transportation system and the port city of Odesa come under fire from mysterious cruise missiles.
Europe – Missiles struck a key Ukrainian port Saturday, just one day after Kyiv and Moscow signed a breakthrough deal to unblock shipments of grain. Pointing the finger at Russia, Ukraine’s air force chief said the port — a key site for exporting Ukrainian grain — had been deliberately targeted.
“The port of Odesa, where grain is processed for shipment, was shelled. We shot down two missiles, and two more missiles hit the port territory, where, obviously, there is grain,” Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuri Ignat told reporters.
Russia has denied any involvement in the strikes, says Turkey’s defence minister.
The strike has been “unequivocally condemned” by the UN, alongside EU officials, such as European Commission vice president Josep Borrell, who said it “demonstrates Russia’s total disregard for international law.” (read more)

To answer your question how does destroying the port destroy the sanctions. They port is destroyed. So, the grain and fertilizer must go overland, thus, the war must end. This forces the West to abandon the war in order to feed world. The block is now on the West side, thus, the West is under pressure to end the war and, thus, the sanctions.
Or, the war does not end, but, an overland corridor is negotiated to allow the wheat and fertilizer through as a measure of peace. In that way, again, the sanctions are weakened.
The destruction of the port is aligned with the greater push to control the nitrogen, ie, see Sundance’s current article. That is, the control of food and, therefore, the control of people is the goal, thus, I would attribute the attack to the West.

Russia had already worked out alternative plan overland. Not as fast as the Odessa port, but still a way to get their grain out. Part of the reason for all the talks with Middle East and Asian countries lately.
The Odessa port is faster and more economical- the treaty also calls out “the West” on their lies. They are not withholding grain. Grain=money for Russia. And their crop this year is in excess of predictions.
Russia promised grain to other countries especially Africa which is already suffering. Russia is looking like the hero-the West like the bad guys.

If Zelensky negotiates or surrenders, they will kill him. Both the US and the remaining NAZIs. He is surrounded with no where to go. He’s the perfect patsy and actor.

Russia allows grain and foodstuffs exports to be safely transported in order to alleviate a looming global food crisis.
The United States sends its SPR fuel to the CCP instead of giving it to the American farmers to promote food production that could have help ease this food crisis.
The Dutch government does its best to choke off food production by its farmers.
The only conclusion possible is that NATO leaders are causing a food crisis while Russia is trying to prevent it.
Last year, Ukraine exported ~54 Million tons of grain and this year they’ve exported ~47 Million tons of grain a drop of ~7 million tons despite the war.
If the US committed Biological Crimes in Ukraine. And, the DNC along with its leadership were involved. Then the U.S. pushing NATO into a war with Russia becomes understandable.

She confirmed that Putin’s Special Military Operation was necessary “to suspend the Pentagon’s dangerous military-biological activities on the territory of Ukraine.”
Ukraine also “deliberately concealed information about the military-biological activities of the United States of America in Ukraine.” Alluding to the infamous video of Ukrainian military burning all State docs of affiliation with Hunter Biden’s biolab METABIOTA, as per decree from Zelensky.
Yaravoya emphasized that these labs were “real parts of NATO secret military facilities and could be used for bacteriological attacks at any time.”
She concluded that “The Commission is forming a dossier in order to systematize cases of criminal activities and qualify them, and will be ready to present a final report in Autumn.”
There might be a few October surprises for the US 2022 Midterms, and one of them is going to be a dossier from Russia compiling all of the US Biological crimes committed in Ukraine by the big players of the DNC.

NATO and US assets are all over Odessa and have been there for months.
One thing that I always found curious or amusing is that both Russia and the west have really high tech surveillance abilities and weapons. Given that, and how much each side is currently invested in the area, how come nobody never knows anything about nothing in what happened? You would think one side would have a pretty good idea what the other side did and prove it.
You know I never willingly watch any WH press briefings, but when I catch a snippet I have noticed that there are other media sources than Peter Doocy who are finally starting to demand answers from “she/her/they who must flip many pages before finding a suitable answer in the generic vernacular”.
The consensus here is, that the port in Odessa and all the grain were destroyed by missiles fired by CIA in order to make Russia look bad.
But 1) the port is still there, 2) the grain is still there, 3) Russia looked bad already, 4) to destroy a friendly very important port for a photoop and a story noone believes anyway is completely irrational, 5) missiles leave a trace, so “somewhere behind enemy lines” is really the only option that would work, except the risks would be ridiculous.
“Smarts for Dummies” teaches us never to accept the official version of anything and always look for the false flag. It works most of the time in rapid and blitz twodimensional checkers, but to be really clever you have to 1) accept basic facts, 2) don’t just make things up, and 3) follow logic.
From what I saw, there was no damage to the grain export ports, and really no significant damage overall.

According to comments on ZeroHedge, a tugboat and a barge were hit…and incredibly (sarcasm alert) were still afloat despite being hit, as the western media claims, by two Russian Kalibr missiles, each 2-tons with a warhead of 400-500 KG HE. Those would have to be an extremely sturdy boat and barge /sarc/
No one is buying this. Note that while western media was quick with their accusations, the UN condemned the attack but stopped short of laying blame.
Update: southfront.org reports Sunday morning that Russian Minister of Defense announced Russia did indeed strike Odessa vicinity with at least four Kalibr missiles. But the target was not grain awaiting export. The missiles hit and destroyed a “docked Ukrainian warship as well as a warehouse where Harpoon anti-ship missiles, recently supplied by the U.S. were stored.” Russian officials said that just because they signed a grain export agreement, it did not give Kiev “permission to store weapons in ports designated for the export of Ukrainian grains.”
So, we forced Russia to make the strike.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Russians hit a warehouse of US-supplied Harpoon missiles, a Ukrainian war ship, and a Ukrainian warehouse for the repair of military ships.
The NY Times reports: A UN official stated that “technically, Russia may not have violated the deal, because it did not undertake to avoid attacks on those parts of Ukrainian ports that are not directly used for grain exports”.
None of the grain-shipping areas of the port or grain ships were hit.
If the Ukies continue using Odesa port to import arms – and the Russians are able to target and destroy them – then the grain shipment deal may fall apart.
This was always the Russian worry, that guaranteeing the security of Black Sea ocean transport would be exploited by the perfidious Ukies to import arms as well as export grain.
This is part of the reason the Ukraine of the near future will ultimately be landlocked.
They and our spooks cannot be trusted with direct access to or from the Black Sea.
Putin didn’t do this, the globalists did. Zelensky himself probably did it. Just remember, one of the Left’s favorite tactics is to accuse their enemies of doing what they are doing or have done. This is exactly what this missile attack looks like to me.
