The Energy Information Agency has finally updated “on road” diesel prices after a month of frozen data [SEE HERE]. Conspicuously, the technical “glitch” correction is resolved [statement here] as the price for diesel starts to drop a little.
Oil prices are showing a drop in price, and subsequently gasoline prices are starting to moderate. Unfortunately, as noted at The Hill, the drop in price is not related to an increase in production, but rather a decline in consumer demand.
WASHINGTON – The price of U.S. crude oil was hovering around $98 per barrel on Wednesday afternoon, down from about $108 late last week. Brent crude fell to about $101 per barrel, down from about $111 late last week.
[…] “We’re on the cusp of seeing more savings,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at gas price tracking site GasBuddy. “I’m trying to be a little bit optimistic here that this relief could make its entire way to the pump in the weeks ahead.”
[…] “The average price per gallon could fall 40 to 65 cents over the coming weeks,” he said, adding that the drop could be over a three- to six-week period.
“Stations are getting lower prices already,” he added. “Prices could go down a penny or two every day or two for the next six weeks as long as nothing changes.”
Experts say the decline is a double-edged sword, since the cheaper price isn’t due to any real changes on the supply side but rather to consumers scaling back their expenses and pulling down the expectation of demand. (read more)
With factory demand dropping precipitously, claims for unemployment starting to increase, consumers being squeezed by continued inflation in energy, gasoline, food and housing, we would expect to see a drop in oil prices for all the wrong reasons. Supply is not increasing, consumers are cutting back on all activities, including driving. A recession always leads to lower oil prices.
This information comes on the heels of Reuters publishing an explosive article about oil from the Strategic Oil Reserve being released and sold to foreign countries rather than used for refineries in the United States.
(Reuters) – More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency reserves release to lower domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices hit record highs. (read more)
And so it has begun. Buckle up folks it’s going to get ugly.
Stores all around me are folding up, I am also seeing videos online of storefronts empty. Repo’s are at a record level right now on vehicles as well.
We get a feed from a South Carolina realtor we visited a year or so ago. There are four categories to the feed daily. New Listings. Price Changes. Went Pending. Sold.
The most telling tale is in the Price Changes. Nearly every existing home over the past 45-60 days in this category reflects a price decrease. Only new builds are showing price increases. Those are to be expected given product costs and financing but they are minor compared to the size of the decreases for existing homes I’ve been seeing.
As simplewins stated above, it has begun.
Circle the date and get ready for August
…8th
Is my best guess on when this all comes to a head
Can u explain this a little
Plz?
“Happiness Happens Day”? What significance does that have for anyone with something besides air in their head?
It’s been ugly since January 6, 2021.
Since “they” called the 2020 election for “Biden”
Its been ugly for 534 days you mean it’s going to get uglier!
“Like ugly on an ape”-Festus Haggen- “Gunsmoke”
I love watching Gunsmoke on TV Land in the afternoons. Law and order, morals, and the tough good guys….
Ditto, it’s truly sad when I’ve seen them so many times that this life-addled brain starts to remember the plot.
Sort of like when President Trump was in office.
Sigh.
I miss that man.
If you’re not already canning stuff, get busy learning.
Our Dollar General is flush with canning stuff. I hear ChinaMart also has it but I refuse to go in there.
A good general source is BexarPrepper on youtube. She’s become busy with other things lately, and I dearly miss her, but the old videos are outstanding and I love her like a sister (but never met her).

—————-
(Word is that there will be a herd kill off in the east in the next month or so and then beef will go to market in abundance. Then, poof, beef all gone and prices go up)
Can what drops in price.
I’ve always canned before but this year I’m dehydrating. It takes up less space and is easier.
Oh wow, you just blew my mind.
I have an Excalibur, have only dried fruit..
I need to dry more.
I mean dehydrate more
I just decided a couple weeks ago to make beef jerky. I went to Costco and bought 6 pounds of top round and made jerky and dehydrated it and it’s in my fridge waiting for when the Chinese come. That’s what I tell people.
My plan is to make more and often. I’ve only dehydrated vegetables before so this is kind of fun.
I like to dehydrate, but also want to learn to can things like meats.
I don’t want to depend upon the deep freeze, in case the electric grid goes down.
Canning meat is incredibly easy!
Remember 1lb of meat will fit in pint jar. Quart jars = 2lbs.
You can “raw pack” which means you shove raw meat into cold jars (no liquid/just bit of seasonings) & put in canner w/cold water – process for time at your elevation.
Hint: Wipe rims w/vinegar to remove any grease.
Personally, I like to put on grill for a bit or at least sear for flavor.
I just put up several jars of “hamburger steak” in wide mouth jar. Hint – use canning ring to “cut”, sear (it’ll shrink); put in jars. I added beef broth. Upon opening, the plan is to thicken broth & make gravy.
The only thing about canning meat – it will change the texture a bit. It’s under so much pressure that it “softens” all.
You may just get “hooked” on canning meats. It’s a game changer.
I even have jarred up milk, butter & cheese. I do all in half pint jars. We don’t drink milk, but use it in cooking-I recently opened a 5 yo jar that was just like when I put it up.
Don’t be suckered into buying anything but food and food prep items
There will be HEAVY discounts on “crap” at big stores like Walmart and Target as they try to minimize their losses on carried inventory, but don’t be suckered, stay focussed.
BexarPrepper and the “Ask Jackie” column of Backwoods Magazine were my teachers. Excellent resources. Canning jars around here have gone up in price (what hasn’t) IF you can find them. At local shop they were over $18 for pint jars.
“Re-canning” some items such as mustard, tomato-based stuff is also an option ($aving$).
I’m driving my husband crazy; he’s sure I’ve lost my mind .. every time I find marked down meat – it goes in a jar.
I thought about buying a freezer for meat, but expecting power outages, I’m jarring up.
LOVE Backwoods Home Magazine! You can find them on-line, too. They have a sister magazine Self Reliance, which is good too.
Lots of good resources on YouTube.
Also, if you can find Carla Emery’s Encyclopedia of Country Living, buy it!
It is pretty late to grow many main season crops in many areas, but not too late for somethings, like peas, snap beans, carrots.
Go to farmers markets to buy larger quantities of things like tomatoes to can up at home.
Every bit that you can store away now makes you that much more secure when the ‘S’ hits the fan really hard.
I didn’t have a subscription to BW Mag; just went to “googling” and found her. She is AWESOME. Did not know about Self Reliance – thank you, I’ll look into that.
Oh yes – so many good videos on Utube. One recent delightful find is “Homestead Heart”.
No close farmer’s markets around here; only one is a “tourist trap”.
I’m in the country. When I first moved here; old men still gathered at the Post Office & whittled on the benches around. Things surely have changed.
I don’t want to raise any animals. Things get bad enough we have rabbits & deer.
Right now I’m studying herbs/plants. Ivy has caught my attention for now.
Someone had said that you could plant beans from the bag purchased at store -it works! I now have “red beans” & pinto beans growing. Pulled up the corn stalks this morn – dang raccoon destroyed it all.
Deer had gobbled my okra; mended my fence. Started my ‘mater seeds late, but plants looking good so far.
I was canning fruits/veg’s early; learned about meats abt 2004 when I had to figure out how to eat after retiring.
Went into overdrive in 2008.
Thank you for responding.
PS – IF you’d like to make soap .. this is easy/peasy .. I have people BEG for bars. You can amp it a bit by using homemade “silver water” (that’s easy as well).
Also check MyPatriotSupply for freeze-dried, mylar-bagged foods of all sorts, with shelf lives approaching two decades.
I love Azure Standard.
They not only have grains, legumes, etc, but also things like oxygen absorbers.
This is the new normal. Suppressed spending. Forever.
Harris must’ve been an insurance policy against impeachment.
You’re 100% right. Not only is the 3/4 vote in the Senate likely impossible, the alternative to Biden is even worse. They know it and they don’t even care anymore. They’re literally selling our oil to Hunter’s company in China and daring anyone to come after them, knowing they won’t.
Yep. Guaranteed that was by design.
At this point, I’ll take Resident Kamala… equally illegitimate, wouldn’t run the show any more than Biden has, but builds momentum towards removing the whole lot as their continued incompetence proves none of them deserve their positions.
In fact, I suggest an Impeachment of the Month club… every month (every week if we can manage it) the House and Senate remove another Leftist in the line of succession from office for the high crimes and misdemeanors that come naturally to Leftists… until there’s literally no one left in the line left to fill the spot.
They deserve to be mocked and part of that is turning the corrupted institution into a revolving door… the year(s) of a dozen presidents (each).
But who will be her VP?
Perhaps Hillary?
Then Kamala (if she’s smart) resigns and Hillary becomes the last President of the US.
RIP the Constitution.
Of course she was, and she played her part very well. Acting dumb must come pretty naturally to her! She missed her calling in Hollyweird.
Even they wouldn’t have her -she’d always be too stoned to remember her lines.
She actually has a “nasal” tone when she speaks. The sound of her voice nauseates me.
Wannabe black Valley Girl. Gag me with a spoon.
I have a problem with that. Biden is corrupt and has committed multiple impeachable offenses. He should be impeached regardless of who is next in line. When heels-up does stupid shit she can be impeached too. If you are the president and you are corrupt you should be removed. Period.
Yes
Breuer resigns. Harris give a USSCt seat. Pelosi takes over.
Imagine the word salad her Inaugural address would. Yikes!
In Western NC gas prices are going up…also food prices…maybe a delayed response but right now seems to be going the opposite…I cannot believe food prices…
A few items I buy, once a month have gone up 30+ percent in the last month. FJB
4.29 for regular here in Mooresville NC
4.66 in Western NC.
How far from Mooresville? Why such a price difference?
Mooresville is near Charlotte I believe. Littleflower lives in Asheville which is a tourist destination.
Always higher in the mountains. Always an excuse.
Right in the middle, price wise, between ya’ll here in Winston-Salem, $4.49.
Susan i would take that all day long right now . i bought ten gallons of gas for my chain saw and log splitter yesterday cost me $70.00 here in Haines Alaska.
Ugh!💔
Don’t forget the stabilizer. Get the boat one. Same price treats more gas.
You did buy ethanol-free, I hope ….
4.09 yesterday in San Antonio.
4.39 in Alamance County. My daughter works for Quality Oil. Prices dropped .03 today. Said their customers are disappearing.
We are just north of Chattanooga right now and gas has fallen almost a buck it 3.89 I filled at $4.39 on the way down. Oh well missed it. Food still climbing, yet milk fell 80 cents a gal.
I saw $4.79 in a pricey blueMA suburb this afternoon.
I won’t be filling up again until I get out to the exurbs this weekend.
5.29 in Washington State, north of seattle
They must not have a gas tax in tennessee. We love our taxes in nc
TN has a 7% state sales tax across the board, even on grocery items. Add the county/city increment, and the actual tax collected ranges from 9% to 10%. Makes up for TN having no state income tax.
Regular in OR is $5.65 so stop your whining.
As of 7/7, gas at our N E GA Walmart “Murphy Oil” dropped to $3.99 / gallon. Lowest it’s been in about four months.
Stagflation. On steroids.
It’s just a temporary respite. The printing presses are going like mad.
“50 dawa bills”- Data- “Goonies”
People who have no money left tend to buy less gas.
Just like people who are dead tend to breath less oxygen.
Pay very close attention to car loan defaults/repos
That’s always a leading indicator
Watch the used car lots fill up
Good I need a new bug out vehicle. I’ve had my eye on a ’98 Toyota 4 Runner that is in good shape this ol’boy has for sale. When the bubble bursts I will snap it up.
Great vehicle. Lost my ’98 Toyota 4 Runner in an accident a few years ago. (black ice)
I want another one.
I am thinking a toyota rav4. Maybe a 2o14 or 2017
Since you’re looking at ’90s vehicles you might want to consider if your state has a law similar to NYS. Any vehicle 25 years or older is safe from the emissions testing requirement. I’ve had perfectly running vehicles, idle like a sewing machine, no smoke of any color out of the exhaust even under hard acceleration, never hesitated, stalled or coughed and got great gas mileage and the engine service light would come on. Put a code reader on it and it would show a code like “evaporative emission leak.” (Don’t hold me to that exact description). I’ve spent hundreds on replacing sensors and paying mechanics to trace down vacuum leaks etc. etc.
No more! My vehicles always run great but that MF’n “Engine Serv” light would always show up right before inspection time and I’d be short of money or time to fix it myself. NYS would allow you ONE 10 day extension and no more.
I own a ’90 VW Cabriolet and a ’91 Dodge B350 and I’m on the hunt for an ’80s Jap midsize bike.
Save yourself some aggravation!
And no tracking devices or kill switches on vintage vehicles. Also some states only have a one time registration fee and no emission testing on vehicles 30 years or older.
🤣
The dishonest claims of this being a result of Biden’s efforts will be the talking point on every MSM media platform without context as to actual cause. As sure as the sun coming up tomorrow this will be linked with phony numbers later this month about inflation moderating and the second quarter not showing actual GDP decline. The government serves its Master, and its not the American People anymore.
CUT THE CORD
CONSTANT NON-SEQUITUR.
Trickle Down Hope and Chains.
When you crush the economy of course there will be less demand.
Bet we can get those prices to 1963 levels if we graduate a few more Diversity Officers from college.
Then we can shred our economy to Shri Lanka size.
“Trickle Down Hope and Chains” very good sir!
Dope and Chains…
Inevitably Potatus will be hauled out to proclaim glorious victory over evil Putin comrades. Also plenty vodka and bread in store.
Beet vodka and bread lines coming soon, lol. Don’t forget your warm clothes and shovel at the train station…
Gas prices are down 10 cents from the peak, yet prices at the store are still rising some items I buy are up another 30+ percent in the last month! (This is the 2nd, sometimes 3rd price increase since Biden stole our WH)
Gas prices may go down a little, but food prices will continue to rise because most of our country is on foodstamps, (some say over 50%). The demand for food is going to increase regardless, and the inflated input prices from Biden’s war on Oil have yet to fully hit the stores, gas stations, etc.
Yes but….anyone with a job that pays a decent amount, say $15 per hour do not qualify for food stamps; unless you have 3-4 children. Speaking as someone who has tried to qualify before when my children were young. Seems I made $10 too much per month.
44.5 million
https://demonocracy.info/infographics/usa/food_stamps/food_stamp_nation-SNAP.html#:~:text=Food Stamp Cards – EBT Cards %28%2423.4 Million, used the same way as a credit card.
That’s 44.5 million households, how many house holds are there in the USA? Most houses have a minimum 2 people in them, some have as many as 10+ people.
Does that 44.5 million number include the “guests” Mayorkas has imported and attached to the federal teat?
Pre-pandemic we were getting $300 a month for the four of us (and I was pregnant) and I made it stretch. COVID hit and the EBT allowance became obscene. I still buy the same things I did then and shop at Sam’s as much as I can and I think we have like $5,000 built up. It’s jaw-dropping.
And the loopholes to commit fraud are just… we could probably pay off the national debt if we could arrest all the fraudsters. The system is set up to encourage illegals and fraudsters.
No EatinBetterTonight Cards in this household, mate.
Same here. We had pancakes for dinner.
Breakfast for dinner rules! I made a big batch of chili that we will most likely be eating tomorrow as well.
Yeah we are now eating all of our leftovers!
Anything that doesn’t get eaten(much less than there used to be, for sure) goes into the river. I have a thriving ecosystem behind the house. All manner of fish, several species of water turtle and a few gators on the periphery.
God bless!!
Compost it. Great fertilizer for your survival garden. Pays no returns to Monsanto, either.
Never had a better fertilizer than the fish I used in my vegetable garden in the backyard of one of the Great Lakes. In homage to the Indians, I always put two crossed fish in every hole I dug. God knows where I saw the image somewhere along the line in grade school: “The Saint Anthony Messenger,” maybe??
That’s us to a tee. The next day the chili goes over spaghetti (we pretend it’s Skyline lol) or we make chili dogs. If you have children still at home, they think it’s something different and not leftovers.
My 17 yr old nephew knows I won’t cook anything else until we eat what is in the fridge. I tried the chili over spaghetti thing after seeing it on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. Good stuff. I also like Frito Pie which is a Texas thing.
Sounds like what they used to do in my high school cafeteria.
Chili and cheese over baked potatoes!
It’s called upside-down day
Seems to me, Joebama has sold oil from the Strategic Reserve 3 times now to Europe
Sounds like Treason to me.
But romney and graham say he is a nice man.
They want starvation.
Most Americans are too fat.
If Main Street USA shut off all Fast Food Restaurants,
and Main Street homes had to cook for themselves,
Americans would have to stop swallowing those Big Pharma Pills.
Big Pharma keeps America sick.
Don’t cure disease.
Treat Side Effects.
If you have a side effect, your primary Pfizer prescription writer will prescribe another Pfizer prescription for that…wonder why you are on 20 drugs?
They aren’t treating disease.
They Are Treating Side Effects.
‘Scrip Free is the way to be.
Cut the EzBT and we will see some nice price drops and weight loss.
As has been detailed many times by Sundance, all of this is Intentional. These “people” are not going to slow down or reduce their efforts, they will double down until there is nothing left. At this point, if someone isn’t on good terms with their neighbors, too bad, they will be odd man out.
They want us dead.
That was the plan all along. Make it so painful that people won’t want to drive. Green New Deal down our throats and up our backdoors.
Mission Accomplished!!
Stay home peasants, you have nowhere important to go except your job.
Save to planet for the stupid smart people.
BTW, bug burgers are really good!!!
I’d like to know how many of Biden’s decisions are based on bribes from China.
Or maybe blackmail, with Xi telling Biden that if Biden doesn’t make such and such a deal with China, then Xi will unfortunately have to publicly release proof of wrongdoing by Biden or his family. It’s so important to have public officials not susceptible to blackmail.
With Hunter’s disclosed style, I can almost imagine him proposing to import 1M barrels into China in exchange for more money to support his lifestyle. Is that a bribe? Or a kickback?
Can’t it be both?
The people are going broke, they are running of money. One of my neighbors had a new car and a new truck, now they only have the truck. People are canceling vacations and cutting back on the miles they drive. It’s not because they want to, it’s because they have to.
Greg Price
@greg_price11
This past April, the Biden admin sold 950,000 Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to a Chinese gas company that a private equity firm co-founded by HUNTER BIDEN owns a $1.7 billion stake in.
#BidenCrimeFamily.

Look up Bohai Harvest RST and its links to Rosemont Seneca and offshoots.
That statement is a lie. Prices are going down because no one can afford those gas prices, they are ridiculous. NO ONE should pay them, let this administration take the blame as they rightfully should. YOU are being lied to, we are ALL being lied to every day on many subjects. No one is even talking about the border crisis anymore, which is why biden thinks it’s no longer a crisis! Can you imagine anyone being that stupid?
George Washington wouldn’t have been so kind to Treasonous Traitors.
Re: the border… that’s what I keep saying, is nobody seems to be talking about this.
Saw a story earlier, don’t remember the outlet, that said something to the effect (where have I heard that before?) that gas prices are going down because BiteMe ordered the sellers to lower their price. What a crock! It’s because people who don’t have to drive are not driving around. Case in point, I waited days until I absolutely had to do some shopping and then hit a bunch of places that I generally visit. I planned the trip so I wouldn’t backtrack for anything. I even stocked up more on food items purposely so I won’t have to use any gas for at least a week. Dare I say, the are many others just like me who are cutting back on their travel. Less use, less demand, prices decrease. That’s basic economics, something BiteMe and the Dumb Ass Administration obviously don’t understand.
I’m with you on that! I don’t want to drive anymore than I have to, because I don’t want to pay these exorbitant prices to anyone. And that includes paying taxes to the govt! We can starve them too!
I am retired since 2017, the good old days when Mr. Trump was in office.
I live in the country, about a twenty mile round trip to town.
When I retired I had figured on going into town about 3 times a week, for visiting the gym, church, shopping, having lunch at a restaurant with friends, etc.
Mr. Biden is in office now, so I am trying to go to town once every 2 weeks.
Haven’t been inside a restaurant in months, have gone back to baking my own bread and cook almost entirely from scratch. Quit the gym, too.
I am buying far less, but spending almost as much as under Mr. Trump.
That sure isn’t good for all those small businesses I was helping to support.
This is trickle down poverty.
PRESIDENT TRUMP WON
CUT THE CORD!!!!!
A slight down turn but it did not stop Maryland legislators to quietly add an 18% additional tax due to inflation .
There is a reason why Annapolis is known as Moscow on the bay 💩
These parasites only need 3 counties and Baltimore City and every leftist lunacy will pass .
The areas with such a leftist grip are populated by the most welfare recipients the most government employees and the wealthiest enclaves of leftists in the country !
The real working tax paying citizens are not even a consideration . Average people are Dixie cups use up and throw away .
If you possibly can, leave.
I know it is hard to pick up and move, but if you possibly can, leave.
I think the repeal of Roe V. Wade may have been God beginning to sort the wheat from the tares.
Yes, He can protect His people wherever they are, but I keep thinking of Lot and Sodom. The Lord sent judgment after Lot and his wife and daughters left.
It is perhaps no accident that the states with the least Godly laws and governments are on the vulnerable east and west coasts. The west coast also is on an earthquake zone.
If the story that this past April, the Biden admin sold 950,000 Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels to a Chinese gas company that a private equity firm co-founded by HUNTER BIDEN owns a $1.7 billion stake in.
Impeachment will be on the table.
https://freebeacon.com/national-security/biden-sold-a-million-barrels-from-us-strategic-petroleum-reserve-to-china-owned-gas-giant/
Impeached by whom? The uniparty ?
It should be, but it won’t be. RINOS won’t go there.
Where is the money going from almost 60 million barrels of strategic oil reserves we Americans have already paid for ?
China and India and Europe are getting this oil and Osama and Biden and ALL the rest should be arrested
Well Trump paid about half to top off our reserves, that’s a healthy profit for jobama.
Good question! My question would be — At what price per barrel are we selling it?
Quick math: if PDT filled the SPR and JaBiden sold that same oil for estimated $70 more, multiplied by 1 million barrels per day, that’s over $2 billion profit per month.
50 cents here and 50 cents there, suddenly you’re eating a 2 billion dollar cheeseburger.
The Big Guy needs his 10%.
The rest is probably going to hookers and blow.
Going into the midterms, all Biden has to do is drive the economy through a recession and into a depression. That will drop the cost of oil below $50 per barrel for sure.
How the elite win elections…
How is it that we hear nothing from our Legislative Branch about selling oil from our Strategic Oil Reserves to our ENEMY (China)? That is for us! We have oil out the rear end in the ground to sell! The Reserve is for emergency situations for our use, not China’s! Time to connect the dots and I don’t like what I’m seeing!
Yes, every Republican Representative and Senator should have been banging the war drums and making this a major headline. Yet, they did not. Time to size up who our reps and sens are and hold them accountable.
Also Democrats. The article at https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2022/07/07/top-democrat-baffled-by-biden-sending-american-reserve-oil-to-china-n2609902 says, “Congressman Ro Khanna expressed disappointment and bewilderment over the Biden administration sending American oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to hostile countries overseas.”
I was happy to read that a liberal democrat (Khanna) had said, “I don’t understand why we aren’t having a ban on exports…people in my district, they’re talking to me about gas prices, about higher food prices…airlines getting cancelled.”
RINOs are a major part of the problem.
Steve Cortes on WarRoom this morning. 34% of all small businesses said they did not make July’s rent payment, Illinois it was 45%. They also said they will be out of business permanently in 6 months. Unreal.
Believe that Cortes stated that, in the large survey, 51% of small business owners stated that, if inflation continued, they would be out of business in six months.
Fifty-one percent in six months!
That is not a recession. It’s a depression.
And how many already went under during the ‘Covid shut down’?
Yep.
I posted on here about 2 months ago that they were manipulating the numbers on this similar to what they were doing with the data from the ports. Here’s another warning….. They reported this past week that the strategic oil reserve “just” fell below 500mm barrels. It’s much lower than that!
Where does the money go for the five million Biden just sold?🤔
Thinking bank accounts in the Cayman islands, Switzerland, and other places like that.
Sadly, I’m sure you are right.
When BIden/Obama gets done with America, there won’t be much left except empty shelves, empty fuel tanks, empty roads and empty bank accounts. However, we will have an abundance of angry illegal aliens, debts, rioting welfare thugs and fleeing grifters and politicians.
Hand-writing on the wall; have stores and pantry, have basic skills, have medical training, have means to produce and preserve your own food, water and shelter, have defensive protection and LEARN TO BARTER. Our Victory Gardens will get us thru this!
And be as independent as you can from the electric grid.
This would be just the time for China or some other enemy to pull a Pearl Harbor on the grid with an EMP.
We are subject to clowns and fools.
It’s all part of The Plan.
Will they succeed?
No
Ultimately, no.
God wins!
The lowering of oil pricing is temporary, there will be another unforeseen (cough cough) crisis that will make oil go up a lot.
They’ll lower the prices just in time for the midterm elections and voters will give liberals the benefit of the doubt and re-elect them. Voters are that stupid.
Look for approval ratings to dip again as we’re all receiving our IRA/401k statements.
I didn’t want to look at my combined ira and non-ira balances but I had too.
At my age, ready to turn 74 this month, I’ll never get back what was lost. Like everyone my age in IRA’s, I’ve had to take distributions the last few years so even if the market were to bounce back, any gains are on a continually reducing balance.
Of course, I don’t expect under Biden to see gains at all.
Depression.
Their depressing production. People will go Galt and leave the system, because they will have no choice.
Old Joe’s depression may actually drive people together to form a more perfect union. The enlighten ones know the people will not go down without a fight. Their granite monument just went down into rubble. What next UN?
Demand drop is what I figured. The USA is vast compared to many other countries but they will moderate at some point. It’s sad because vehicles represented freedom in many respects. Sounds like $4.50 gallon was a breaking point. Doubt it will climb much lower than $4 so stock up. What Biden is doing with the strategic oil reserve is trouble brewing.
My sister and her family just took an Alaska cruise on Princess, $1500 for a week for 3 people, free drinks, two huge staterooms. The ship was at 30% capacity…this doesn’t happen in a strong economy.
Monetary policy and the Federal Reserve also plays a role in oil prices. There is a negative correlation between the price of crude oil futures and the U.S. Dollar. As the Fed raises interest rates, the Dollar will strengthen. Crude oil prices will begin to moderate and decline as a result.
The solution to high prices, is high prices.
Unless we are talking about this f###d up situation.
Stop handing out 500-800$ a month EBT gibmedats and
you will see a decline in food prices.
Food subsidies drive the prices up.
They are corporate welfare.
How would corporate supermarkets be doing without
the state Covid emergency EBT distributions?
I’ll tell you
In my state, Oregon, anybody with children in public school
gets $275 a month , per kid, on an EBT card
You don’t even apply for it.
If your kid is in school, they mail you the card, and charge it monthly.
without that, our supermarkets would be going under
Talking about 401k and IRA’s….the only time I ever needed to dip into them is during Clinton, Obama and biteme.
