I would draw attention to the most overlooked quote from Joe Biden as it pertains to gas prices. This statement was made May 23, 2022, and it proves he knows the gas price is directly related to his choice to implement the Green New Deal by executive policy:

They clear on average 8 to 10 cents per gallon, rest is all state local and federal taxes. Between being unable to continually update their equipment to handle the computer heavy cars and proprietary tools for the individual manufacturers mom and pop could never pump the volume needed to stay above water. This controlled demolition of our economy began decades ago.

A lot of places that sell gas make their profits by selling beer, wine, cigs, cigars, snacks, food and all kinds of other items. If their only source of revenue was gas they could not stay in business.
Gas stations don’t have any profit in pumping gas. In the past it was the repair business that was the money maker. Today it’s the convenience store!

Well in SE Wisconsin, Kenosha County, Within the last fortnight, per gallon price dropped from $5.099 to today, to $4.599.
That’s 50 cents drop, more than the tax. So where is the oil coming?? Especially, during a holiday weekend.
It’s the drop in demand. People aren’t going anywhere unless it’s necessary – food, medicine, etc. All other driving stops.
Usually drops right after the 4th of July holiday doesn’t it as demand slows?

The August contract for unleaded gas on the Nymex jumped 15.15 cents in one day on Friday. It is the nearest future indication since July gas is not the future.
So for the climate crowd–when they make gas and oil so expensive that no one can afford it yet the price of an EV PLUS the associated costs of having the charger installed and the higher insurance rates for fire insurance kick in, JUST WHAT is the plan for disposal of all those gas powered cars? Landfills? Every national park we have won’t come close to being enough. The ocean? They’ll be full of windmill debris and dead birds. What about the planes? Jet fuel must also be outlawed. How will all these new cars be powered? Not once has the Alzheimer’s patient mentioned expanding the electric grid nor has he mentioned building newnnuclear power plants (the only way to begin thinking about supplying the necessary power for homes, businesses and these new cars). Maybe Biden will actually build a wall by crushing the cars, stacking them up, and then having them welded together. Now that would be pure irony!

Summer blend is now in full effect, and prices always go down when the summer blend comes in. What I do not know is when the 15% vs 10% ethanol goes into effect or what that blend will do to gas pricing.

E15 is less efficient than gasoline, so you get fewer miles per gallon.

Higher ethanol levels (over some prolonged period of time; engine dependent) are bad for seals and gaskets.
Give the extra $.50/gallon and purchase ethanol free, if it is within one’s means

Change from E10 to E15 and prices go up, fuel efficiency goes down, and ground level air pollution goes up in summer heat. However it is not supposed to be sold in summer, because of the latter.
