During a CNN segment Deese is challenged by the 85% disapproval and he ignores the opposition from the American people by saying the White House needs to “remind people as we go through this period” where energy costs are skyrocketing because climate change goals are unsustainable, during this economic “transition” they have made other progress. This program allows solar panel owners to sell their unused electricity to the grid at retail prices by running their meter in reverse.
The problem is solar adds little to grid capacity, as it only displaces reliable generation. It doesn’t replace reliable generation. Every solar electron must be backed-up with an equal amount of reliable electricity provided by nuclear, coal, or natural gas generation. This means at least twice the cost for required electricity.
DeSantis said in defense of his veto, “Foridians are already paying too much for electricity”. True, but it is because of reliance on unreliable electricity, and he vetoed a bill to help begin to address the problem.
One wonders if solar interests are major DeSantis donors? His veto was a huge unforced error.

You miss a key point: Paying homeowners for feeding power back into the grid doesn’t add to grid capacity unless additional ‘dispatchable’ power is built in parallel. That’s very expensive and that expense is in addition to buying the unreliable power from homeowners.

My understanding is this: The “liberal world order” has to do with America’s influence and international power along with its alliances with other nations. The globalists want to use America’s influence to build a one-world government through multilateral agreements among nations and centralize power through the United Nations as the governing body. President Trump, on the other hand, wanted to continue America’s influence and international alliances through bilateral trade agreements where each nation would maintain its own individual government and sovereignty and not surrender it to a one-world governing institution. In this way, President Trump would continue America’s strong influence in the world but would not destroy other nations, including our own, for the benefit of the global elites.
The term “liberal world order” was used by President Trump and Secretary Pompeo in order to communicate to the globalists this different approach as to how nations would relate to each other internationally. The term “liberal world order” helps communicate to the globalists a concept that is the subject of interest to them because it is the term they use to strategize the future of nations. President Trump indicated his intention about how America and other nations should relate to each other with his statement, “Americanism, not globalism, will be our credo.” And he furthered that plan when he removed the United States from the Paris Climate Accord, for example, and entered into bilateral rather than multilateral trade agreements with other nations.
The use of the term “liberal world order” has caused some confusion because to the globalists it means a one-world government directed by them through the World Economic Forum, United Nations, Council on Foreign Relations, and other globalist institutions. It would be better to use a different term to denote President Trump’s nationalist interpretation to help with understanding. We need clarity so that we can discuss the challenges that we face and resist the one-world government. We also need prayer for God’s help to overcome this predicament that is too great for any person or nation to withstand alone.
