Biden also called on congress to construct new federal background checks, which sounded a lot like a federal registration of gun ownership. Also, he is demanding “red flag” laws that will allow schools, counsellors, doctors and others to flag an individual as a threat to themselves or others, thereby removing their right to gun ownership. If someone is going to be stripped of their right to purchase a firearm then there MUST be a process built in to the law that provides the person the ability to have their rights restored.
I wrote a comment last night about a woman who was committed against her will into a psych hospital even though she had made no threats. That’s a stain on her record which no doubt prevents her from being able to purchase a firearm even though the judge who reviewed her case ordered her release said she shouldn’t have been committed. How does she get her rights and reputation back? What’s the process to clear her medical record?

How long before some of them decide to lie in wait to pick off public officials responsible for these policies? America is also chock full of trained veterans. It does not take a brain surgeon to realize what side they will be on. Pipelines, power plants, interstate highways, railroads, and bridges will all be targets of attack.
Governors, mayors, and LEOs will start to defect, as will National Guard and any other troops who will resent being asked to kill their neighbors and relatives.
There are not enough soldiers, National Guard, and potential Local Policy Council members to protect everything or seize all weapons.

Ever wonder why you never hear of a mass shooting taking place at an inner city school? There is a very good reason for that, and it has nothing to do with who owns a gun, or how many rounds are in it. For a lot of American children, school is the only place they feel safe. If we are serious about protecting our children while they are in school, we know exactly how to do it.

limiting amo magazines to 10 rounds is almost as bad as no gun zones — criminals don’t observe the law to begin with, have high level amo magazines and law abiding citizens with 10 rounds get slaughtered when they run out and criminal has plenty of amo left.
In general, I’m against limits as they tread dangerously on ‘infringement’. However, from a practical standpoint, we saw how efficiently Kyle took out threats with well under one magazine worth of ammo in a long gun openly carried so everyone knew he was armed.
I aspire to that level of proficiency in prosecuting death to enemies. More or larger magazines could help, sure. However, I’m reminded that my dad went into battle with a M1 and 8 round en bloc clips. That rifle, in the hands of he and his fellow soldiers, killed a lot of Fascists in that field of conflict.
