With barely more than a third of the country supporting the installed occupant of the White House, Joe Biden took to the podium tonight to demand a litany of new gun restrictions. Biden called for the banning of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines through reinstating the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, noting that if that can’t happen, the government should raise the legal age to purchase such weapons from 18 to 21.
Biden also called on congress to construct new federal background checks, which sounded a lot like a federal registration of gun ownership. Also, he is demanding “red flag” laws that will allow schools, counsellors, doctors and others to flag an individual as a threat to themselves or others, thereby removing their right to gun ownership. Biden also said he want’s congress to ban large capacity magazines limiting all firearms to five bullets. WATCH:

I worked for a school district on the best coast of fl. for almost 15 years. I got accused by someone making up a story. I was accused of having a gun in the trunk of my car and threatening to use it.It was not true.There was NO gun. I was placed on temporary paid leave and ordered to have a psych.evaluation for approximately 45 minutes.After 2 years of paid leave(I had to call my supervisor every morning and say I was available for work) and like a fool fought to go back to work. Had to hire a lawyer and have an independent shrink put in writing that I was of no threat to anyone. In the end it’s all in God’s hands. Pray and pray more.

Any expanded red flag laws could have a serious chilling effect on good mental health care. Do you really want to express to a doctor that you’re depressed, only to have that doctor then flag you as a risk to yourself or others? God forbid you should make a statement in jest and have some overzealous person interpret it as serious and then you’re deprived of your rights. Best not to say anything at all now.
This reminds me of 5150 laws, where someone can be hauled off for psych evaluation or even commitment against their will. I read an article about a woman, Christina Schumacher, whose husband killed their son and then killed himself. She was already seeing a psychiatrist and her next scheduled appointment was the day after the murder-suicide, so she kept the appointment. To her shock, without making any sort of threatening statements to anyone, her psychiatrist decided that she needed to be committed so he had police be present at her appointment and they hauled her off and put her in a psych institution! Can you imagine the trauma? They had a teen daughter too and this poor woman was unable to console the daughter even. She was deprived of all of her rights even though she did nothing wrong. She got some legal help and a judge finally released her after she had spent 5 1/2 weeks in the institution. And by the way she was billed for that stay. I was so aghast when I read this story I decided right then that I will never see a psychiatrist even if I think I could benefit from it. MANY people who are not a harm to themselves or others get “Baker Acted” and hauled away for a “72-hour” observation which, when it commences on a Friday, not infrequently somehow illegally expands to more than that.
Many of these observation places are private psych hospitals and rehab facilitie$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
The “patients” are luckier when they don’t have fancy insurance. They will get out easier. Others, who do have this, are exhorted and threatened from the time of arrival to “voluntarily” sign themselves in for… oh… whatever might be the length of time their insurance will pay for.
The law provides that those who have the wherewithal to resist, may find themselves after 72 hours the subject of an involuntary commitment proceeding. Some of these people manage to sneak a communication out to private lawyers to represent them instead of public defenders.
You do not EVER want private “doctors” who make money by your being locked up to be “evaluating” you for whether you need to be locked up.

I recently read about parents dealing with children who have “gender dysphoria”. The blog was full of stories of the therapist not attempting to help the kids in any way, but encouraging transgenderism. It was disturbing.
I can only imagine how the looney left will use a red flag law against us.
No, they affirm their choices. That’s what they are taught. Only one side of the equation is considered. They do not consider the harm of puberty blockers or radical surgeries.
That said, mental health professionals are often threatened with loss of license if they don’t bow down and affirm the choices of these patients. They couldn’t help even if they wanted to. Not without risking their license.
I get the feeling the vast majority of doctors are now practicing CYA medicine, and the A is their own. They’re afraid of being sued. I didn’t research further (I was too disturbed to do it!) into the Christina Schumacher case to find out why her doctor had her committed. It didn’t even need to go before a court! I’m guessing in her state a psych doctor is God and the victim has no rights. I can’t even imagine spending 5 1/2 weeks locked up without any due process, a person who committed murder is treated better. I’m going to assume that the doctor worried that Schumacher might possibly maybe be a suicide risk and that was it, he wanted to save his own A, if she committed suicide and he didn’t intervene he might be sued.
Anyway, that was it for me. Nobody is ever going to know that my emotions are anything other than SUPER CHEERY. And I don’t care if I have cancer and I lost a loved one and lost my job and my pets ran away, all at the same time, I will never ever see a psych doc. I’ll just binge eat and watch a Twilight Zone marathon to numb myself.
There was a time after Newtown and Las Vegas when I argued with some on this very website. I said maybe we should think about a little capitulation as the dirty black rifle does have a lotta killin power. And it certainly does, but that’s the point. I was honest then and honest now. People that act like they’re no different from a pistol are only lying to themselves, but that’s ok with me as I mean no offense.
After 2020 my memory will never fade. What they did to us is criminal beyond my comprehension at the time. Didn’t know what the hell was going on but it scared me. Lockdowns, riots, stolen election, and mandatory jabs or your life is ruined. Now we have what seems to be major and purposeful supply chain breakage. Food processing plants burning down. A deliberate goading of Russia to war intentions being to kill wheat and fertilizer supply looks too shady to be an accident. It was also to tank Russia’s economy but I am happy to say they are pulling through. I love it.
Now I am resolute. You can say I was naive but I dont think many of you understood what our supposedly benign government was capable of. Until 2020 they mostly looked like a bunch of clowns. They are clowns but not the funny type. I certainly understand they have no limits now and I am hear to say “My Cold Dead Hands.” Never again will I make that mistake.

I changed my mind after the shooting. Dumb, I’ve never been back. I’m not a big fan of Wayne LaPierre, but I have hear the museum is excellent. I had no interest in AR-15s until Parkland, I went to the range and rented one, and had an Ah-hah! moment. It was light, easy to manipulate, compact, very little recoil, and wasn’t sacrilege to mount a scope to like a lever gun. I knew it was modular, so being I live in the Midwest and only straight wall cartridges are allowed for deer… I have a light, sized for me, customized hunting rifle that falls within the regulations of my state that I assembled to my specifications. Yes, ARs are used for hunting Joe Biden. State law already regulates how many rounds can be in the magazine while hunting, and when you can be in the woods with them. Same lower, a different upper from a reputable manufacturer, and I have a defensive weapon. I only need one lower and potentially three uppers to hunt small game, big game, and defend my home. That’s pretty effective/efficient no matter how you look at it. I think the colonists and frontiersman would have appreciated that versatility.

It’s just a small caliber rifle that idiots think looks spooky. It’s nothing special. A 5.56 round is close in size to a .22 round, but with more powder behind it. My M1A that shoots 7.62 caliber round is far more destructive. But it doesn’t have the “scary” black appearance. We live in a gun illiterate country. Never bend the knee.
I know what it is and isn’t. The 7.62 x 51 is much more powerful. And of course the ubiquitous 7.62 x 39 AK. But The AR/M4 is the perfect combination of killing power and lightweight with minimal recoil. Shoot large animals with it and you probably won’t bring them down. Shoot a large man with it and they’re going down. It’s the perfect rifle for fighting man in a chaotic combat zone. The speed of the bullet is what gives it an edge. That tiny little .223 creates a cavity many times it’s size due to the velocity. It’s a matter of physics/ballistics.
Again I won’t BS anyone. It is what it is. The reasons I mentioned above is why these guns are needed. We have a reckless situation coming on. It wasn’t of our choosing. I don’t know if getting us to kill one another is the goal. It’s a helluva lot easier than sending military or police who might just turn against their commands. We must be ready for all contingencies.
Too many people in our government are evil, cruel and vicious.
Far far too many and we must come to grips with this before we can begin to solve the problems our Country faces.
The mindset and the goals of these people are almost beyond what most of us, who are normal and kind and caring, can fathom.

If truckers from the United States and Canada can coordinate a massive convoy, so can local police departments, quite easily compared to the efforts of the truckers that sacrificed so much. Local law enforcement agencies from all over America have the power to arrest the criminals in the District of Criminals.
The optics would be immune from media censorship. The media could ignore the truckers, they can’t ignore this.
Washington, D.C. is subservient to the States. No worries about jurisdiction.
Some local police departments will not participate out of fear, but I think many and most will. All this idea needs is an American spark that will light up the world and spread like a wildfire.
Every local police department in America is closely connected to their nearby police departments across villages, cities, towns, counties, and state borders.
I think many law enforcement people know exactly what is going on right now. They know that the global power elite want to use them as the pawns that enforce their illegal dystopian dictates.
If America’s local police enforcement agencies do not peacefully bring the criminals in Washington, D.C. to justice, the American People ultimately will. We The People don’t want that, if I may speak for all Patriots.
I am not a member law enforcement, but I have friends who are and they really like this idea mainly because it is legal, justifiable, possible, and uniquely American. Just like the American Revolution for Independence from England, this plan was hatched in a tavern. One could say that the world’s greatest idea came after drinking a few beers.
The only problem is that nobody I know has the balls to coordinate this effort. Nobody wants to be the catalyst that starts this movement. My friends totally agree with the idea, but none of them have the power to do it. They’re not the Chief, and they fear the Chief’s response if they ever mentioned such an idea.

Oh… I’d say the shots have been fired several times. I’m wondering when the return fire will begin. I think we’ve all seen and heard enough of this federal, state and local tyranny to have had ample reasons for a return volley. I mean, come on! If mask mandates, job losses, business closures, forced vaccinations, cutting off fuel supplies, supply chain interference and the massive amount of graft, bribery, and corruption isn’t enough, we may as well just lay down now and piss into the wind.

One of our biggest failures as a community of like minded people is assuming that most police officers are on the right side of politics. Many are not, they’re just collecting the Irish welfare and could care less about the country.
The parents outside the school did not make entry because the police were present and expected to do so.
Now, they didn’t make entry, but that fact didn’t convince the parents to do so anyway.
Thus, the experiment is over, the result is in: law enforcement’s presence is a deterrent to natural citizens taking initiative.
This may be the issue the GOP Establishment has been wishing for. Me thinks they want nothing to do with controlling the House or the Senate. I’ve been thinking for a while now they will come up with something that pisses off so many of their base that they end-up winning a small fraction of the seats they should. Given how much the democrats have wrecked in such a short period of time, the GOP should have close to veto-proof majorities (certainly in the House, Senate is much tougher).
This gun control issue could be it. Timing is spot-on. Look for more mass shootings too. Those will be the summer 2020 riots in the summer 2022. The tracks are greased for that.

Does a firearm limited to 5 bullets include one in the chamber? If 5 bullets is the maximum than almost all revolvers are illegal. Seems like some small revolvers hold only 5 rounds. We still have derringers and I guess single shot bolt action rifles and maybe muskets?

The proposed laws are not about “CAN”. It is not about protection.
It is all about disarming the population and icing the majority. Witness covid. The majority took the vaxx–half were convinced it was salvation, half did it under duress. Same would apply here. I left the NRA a couple years ago. Their leadership seems primarily a hunting/trap shooting crew and very squishy on the self defense membership– which actually comprises most of the NRA membership.
