Defying threats from the European Union, Hungary has announced they will not stop purchasing oil and gas from Russia and join a blockade of energy products by the 27 member EU alliance.
BUDAPEST (Reuters) – Hungary will not support sanctions that would make Russian oil and gas shipments to Hungary impossible, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in a statement on Tuesday.
Speaking in Kazakhstan, Szijjarto said Russian oil shipments via the Druzhba pipeline accounted for about 65% of the oil Hungary needed and there were no alternative supply routes that could replace that. (link)
Slovakia has also announced they will not participate, which makes any collective EU action problematic. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reported to be using his connection to the U.S. and Joe Biden in an effort to force the EU to deliver additional sanctions. Essentially, if an EU country does not fall in line, Zelenskyy will instruct Biden not to support that EU country with the money congress is preparing to use as blackmail.
The polish government has collapsed under the pressure of Joe Biden and the NATO alliance. However, if you look closely at the $33 billion spending demand from the White House, it’s clear to see the U.S. State Dept, specifically those who are currently operating the proxy war along with the CIA, are positioning the funds for use as bribes to EU allies.
Any deal on Russian oil would require the consent of all 27 EU members, meaning it could not pass without Hungary and Slovakia’s approval. The bloc agreed on an embargo on Russian coal in the fifth package last month, while it has not yet ventured into gas.
[…] Ministers from other EU states have spoken of sympathising with oil-reliant neighbours but urged unity during the crisis. Hungary and its Russia-friendly leader Viktor Orban have irked Ukraine with an equivocal stance on the war. (more)
Why does Hungary stand up the the NWO? They know the devil well….
A Mi-17 helicopter of the Russian Air Force violated the airspace this morning, the Finnish Ministry of Defense announced.
“This is a Mi-17 helicopter and the depth of the alleged violation was four to five kilometers,” a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense told AFP.
Kristian Vakkuri, Communications Director at the Ministry of Defense, said the breach occurred at 10:40 p.m. local time
“This is the second airspace violation by a Russian aircraft this year and the second since the beginning of the year,” said Kristian Vakkuri, the ministry’s chief communications officer.
The Finnish Border Guard has launched a preliminary investigation into the incident and the case has progressed to a criminal investigation.
On April 8, a Russian Army transport aircraft also briefly entered Finnish airspace.
Finnish Prime Minister Sana Marin said in Copenhagen today that it would be important for her country’s security for the transition period to join NATO to be short.
Outrageous! A Russian Army transport aircraft also briefly entered Finnish airspace! It’s time to join NATO in order to allow the CIA-Pentagon to place nuclear missiles in Finland on the Russian border. Let’s start a nuclear war!!
exactly. the eu and the u.s. have only just started paying for their horrific blunder.
Good for Hungary. I wish we had a leader that was STRONG, COURAGEOUS & SMART. OOPHS! PDJT exposed how corrupt the whole world is and remember – stolen elections have consequences and this plan was all in place before the 2020 election. Guaranteed.
Why is the EU upset when Germany has not agreed to cut off all fossil fuels from Russia and a number of other EU countries getting supplies via the back door? Hungary has at least been honest.
As far as I understand from todays news in Germany (I am german …): they are trying hard to get Hungary on boat. Giving them more time and money. So I have not checked, but maybe they want to use some of the 33 billion for that. And Germany, that used to say, it will kill our economy, is now converted into a leader in this sanctions endeavor. Since the meeting in Ramstein, Germany changed its positions. Wonder what happened at that meeting. And who exactly were the attendants. A meeting outside normal procedures for sure and kind of ex-territorial.
I also heard that that the Bulgarians objected as well. Is this the illuminous foreign policy experience that we were “promised” under Biden?🤣 Looks like the people of these rebel nations refuse to subject their people to destitution to save St. Zelenskyy from his blunders.
