The Tennessee Republican Club has met to decide who they will permit on the ballot. Morgan Ortagus, Baxter Lee and Robby Starbuck have been disavowed by the TN Club for being unworthy candidates according to private rules within the assembly. Mitch McConnell smiles.
There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution which outlines or supports the use of political clubs to create political parties for candidates for office. This is one of the lesser-known facets to U.S. elections.
The Republican and Democrat parties are private clubs with internal rules that operate within the system for elections. Each club chapter can make up their own rules and select candidates for approval based on their own qualifications.
TENNESSEE – The Tennessee Republican Party has removed three candidates, including one endorsed by former President Trump, from the primary ballot for one of the state’s House races.
The Tennessee Republican Party voted on Tuesday to dismiss Trump-backed Morgan Ortagus, who previously served as a spokesperson at the State Department, as well as Baxter Lee and Robby Starbuck, from the primary ballot for the state’s 5th Congressional District, state GOP Chairman Scott Golden confirmed to The Hill. As the 2022 primary season begins to take shape, it is important to remember that all messaging from the people within the private club known as the GOP (for selected politicians) or RNC (for membership to support the selected politicians), does not come from some organic coincidence.
Everything we witness as the club enters their season of greatest business opportunity is all carefully coordinated and presented.
Remember, “artful politics is the purposeful creation of an illusion of options for the audience,” and YOU are the audience.
The RNC want to give the illusion of support for MAGA conservatism because they need the base and donor activity. However, every move they make on an operational level is exactly in line with their previous outlook toward cocktail class republicanism. The MAGA base of support cannot trust this group and must not be blind or unguarded about the Machiavellian schemes they construct.
Both the Democrat and Republican wings of the UniParty in Washington DC created and support the Fourth Branch of Government. Political candidates from within the party machinery should be reviewed carefully by voters who must ask themselves are they really seeing an illusion of choice?
At federal and state levels, the party operates as a private club to prescreen approved candidates for their ballots. Nothing about this entire process changes until MAGA people at the local and state level invest themselves to influence the club determinations. In order to change the club, you must enter the club. That requires a serious investment in time and effort. Changing the things you can no longer accept is not easy.
Whether you agree or disagree with the Tennessee Republican club decision, you must ask yourself if you are comfortable with a private club making the decision about who can appear on a ballot. That is the essential problem with party politics, it is rife for corruption, manipulation and the continuation of a political process that never results in the change you may prefer to see.
Conservatives will argue that to run a candidate outside the GOP approval process leads to a split vote that ultimately helps the Democrat party. Ultra-leftists will argue that to run a candidate outside the DEM approval process leads to a split vote that ultimately helps the Republican party. That’s the argument stimulated and promoted by club insiders.
Tactical Civics is the only way to overcome this challenge. Citizens must join the clubs and work to ensure the voice of the majority is represented by the final club outcome, not a filtering process that only keeps the UniParty system in place.
In the past 15+ years, the Communist wing of the Democrat party has done a much better job of tactical civics. That is why the Overton window keeps moving left. The conservative wing of the Republican party, the current MAGA movement, has not been as effective on a local, state and federal level as the Communist wing of the Democrats.
If you live in Tennessee, you might want to ask the state Republican Party officials: what is the intention of blocking choice in a Republican primary? Shouldn’t the primary contest be the place where the voters decide on these candidate filters? If not, why not? What exactly is the intent of club filtration?
Asking these probing questions will likely result in some very uncomfortable discoveries.
It’s your vote, but maybe their candidate. Find out who “they” are.
Neocon Control

… b b b but …. weren’t they all vaxxed ??
Maybe it is time to start a MAGA Party
That option looking better every day!
It was time in February 2021.
Actually, it was necessary even before the last election!!!
11-5-2020
We really need to clean up our country as another party will not change the Dominion /count of the “ballots” when they pump up the “ballot” numbers by 10% for every election to make it easy to steal the election with the remainder of those that never vote, but are also on the roles.
The steal has already happened with the Republican deception of choice in the Texas Primaries. They already stole the election with their presented fake choice. The numbers did not add up, but we were told they wouldn’t cheat THIS TIME when they still haven’t corrected and punished those from 2020.
Time to demand paper ballots, one day voting, in person, proof of ID and citizenship for that precinct, and counted in public.
If they still control the vote, the parties don’t even matter. We know there has been massive fraud as proven NATIONWIDE in 2020 and yet they urinate on us and keep telling us it’s raining and that we’re imagining our disappearing liberties our forefathers died for.
And when that happens, it’s not even a slippery slope; it’s an outright FREE FALL into dystopian nightmare that will result in 100% of all Trump patriots being killed in the Great Reset. It will be too late once RINO’s find out what they have done, and the only thing 2A will be good for at that point is to allow us to take our final retaliations on the way to our demise.
The only people that the “elites” wish to keep around are those that are sitting on the fence already.
They do not want the destructive activist of the left as they are only useful tools for destroying societies and they can not be fixed. They do not want them destroying their “new world order” so like prior times they will be the first against the walls.
The do not want the IRREDEEMABLE DEPLORABLES because they will not comply and can not be re-educated into the proper ideology group think. They are the enemy that they have already targeted.
That leaves their sheep on the fence that will give up their first born just like they complied with the covid madness and do it because they are afraid or believe it is for the greater good.
Trying to teach that the Constitution was legislated by the States for the people in the creation of the federal government with very specific and limited powers is a difficult task. The people must stand, or bow in their chains, but I will not comply.
“When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring its lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.” – Thomas Jefferson
“It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” – Samuel Adams
Maybe I would recommend range work
My district does not have Dominion and we use paper ballots
What brand of machine counts, tabulates and transmits those paper ballots?? ES&S? Sequoia? Hart Civic?? They are ALL the same (Dom!n!on).
If it is good for Germany, UK, France, Italy it should be good for the USA.
Which country in North America does not require ID to vote? Hint its not Mexico or Canada…plus Google that very question and check out what comes up.!?!?
The time to start a new party was back when Reagan was running. It has become more necessary each year since.
At federal and state levels, the party operates as a private club to prescreen approved candidates for their ballots.
If this is true, then the RNC can and will not allow Trump on the ballot. Or any MAGA candidate.
WAAAAAAY past time for a third party.
Sorry, I disagree 100%, no nunca, nyet.Terrible idea. The Uniparty would promptly declare any maga party a terrorist organization and ban it right before the election.
AmericaFirst party, or A1.
Party name has to work 10,20 or 50 years from now, and should reflect the defining and uniting phylosophy of the Party.
AmericaFirst does both, respectfully “MAGA” or Make America Great Again” while a GREAT campaign slogan, IMHO should not be the NAME of the party, as it doesn’t do either.
“In ALL policy decisions, whether foreign or domestic, decisions should be made based on what is best for America and Americans”.
says it all,..and I have felt for some time that creating a SECOND party, to offer a true alternative to the Uniparty, might be more effective that trying to purge the Republican party of Rinos.
But, not my choice to make.
Sounds good to me.
Its two years long past starting a MAGA party. We are all stupid fools and have been duped. It is obvious the social contract is an illusion. These evil people have usurped our Constitutional Republic and its institutions. They own our naive butts. I dont see any way out unless its a real revolt to throw the bastards out asap. All the other options seem to be pipe dreams.
Jan 7th, 2021 would have been the optimal time to begin getting a MAGA/America First party registered in all 50 states. Registering a party takes time and the GOPe would have made it longer and more difficult to do. A new party would have begun with about 75M strong. Trying to revamp the GOP was a big swing and a miss by President Trump. He doesn’t swing and miss often but, when he does, it puts a big smile on Casey At the Bat:
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45398/casey-at-the-bat
Trump / third party arguments always seem to assume that the vast majority of Republican voters would switch to the Trump (3rd) party for most seats on the ballot. I don’t think that’s a safe / foregone conclusion.
Just look at Canada and see how more than 2 parties can easily result in a minority of voters choosing the winning candidate. How many Canadians DIDN’T vote for Trudeau? Did the individual voters approve of their party leaders making deals with Trudeau & his party?
Yes Canada’s parliamentary system is a bit different from ours. But in a 3-way split here, a minimum of 34% constitutes a plurality UNLESS laws are passed that say otherwise. Our system isn’t going to adapt well to the state and federal governments being potentially split across three or more parties in the Executive and Legislative branches. The corruption and “closed room” deal making will be off the charts, IMHO.
What if none of the three presidential candidate here achieves 270 electoral votes when all electors are determined?
What if none of the 3 parties hold sufficient seats in the Senate to meet the existing vote thresholds to pass legislation as stipulated in the Constitution?
These are some consequences to consider before jumping gung-ho into a third party. Maybe there are good solutions to these; I haven’t yet come across any in my limited readings.
If anyone thinks it is possible to start another “clean” party they certainly do not understand the real world of politics and election processes in the USA.
.
Avoiding lawful conflict will not win anything.
.
In the end we will take our political parties back and marginalize the “The Club”.
.
Loosing is not an option for us or our descendants.
.
Become a precinct captain, continue voicing opinions at school board meetings, attend local candidate rallies.
we already have ….. watch for the “Write In” votes and winners column
Current status request.
If I donate to President Trump requests does any of the money go to RNC?
Depends on who you are making the donation through.
A lot are disguised as for Trump…and they do go to RNC.
A lot of those sorts are the same ones that spam one of my email accounts 4+ times a day.
Always something like “last chance before the deadline”, “500% donor match”, “patriot club founder” etc.
All this begging me for money, and I’ve never given any of them 1¢.
The RNC quit asking me for money right after the TEA Party Revolution.
Called me up bragging about how they were in on it and needed my donation to keep it going.
Told them they weren’t getting one thin dime from me until I saw them actually fighting the demoncrats on the floor of the House and Senate.
Not one letter or phone call since. Not even from the Oregon Republicon Party.
😀
I have to admit to reading some of them for amusement.
Pretty slick messaging going on with some. Social engineering/psychological tricks mostly to get one “hooked”.
Would not need the hard sell if they actually were doing the things their voters wanted. But we all know that is not how the game is played.
4+ times a day is often an understatement. Once you make ONE donation your name/information becomes a commodity. ☹️
It’s the constant texting that ticks me off. I reply STOP and it just gets my number resold. Why doesnt PDT get on top of that? It’s done in his name.
Block the number – that is what I did. Those are RNC texts, not Trump and he told them to knock off fundraising in his name two years ago.
I made a small donation some years ago to a candidate who I grew up with. Yes, I ended up on a list.
I never got the emails since I never provided an address, but I did get numerous phone calls and lots of mail.
The phone calls stopped when I made clear I was not donating until they got rid of RINO’s like McCain, Thune, Cornyn and others. The mail continued, so I started filling out their surveys in sharpie.
The best were those campaign surveys that were always the same and never read by anyone in the party because they were only looking for a check.
Those stopped when I started returning other junk mail in their envelopes. A good way to stop donation requests and get rid of other junk mail.
” filling out their surveys in sharpie” – that’s what I do
Standard BIG black bold diagonal across their stupid survey:
FOAD:
McConnell
McCarthy
McDaniel
with an ELECTION INTEGRITY on the other side
I’ll even do my own stamp to send that message
It stops further mailings, which makes me kinda sad
I work too hard for my money, to give it to a thieving entity.
Amen.
TAMU Class of ‘89. Whoop!
Yep, I just posted my same experience. It’s gotten outrageously out of line.
To put it nicely, I believe they call that “False Advertising”?
“Buyer Beware”.
It depends on who is asking for money. Irregardless of whom is asking, always read the disclaimers at the bottom of the page or solicitation to gain clarity of where your money will be going.
Avoid sending any money to the RNC and the GOP Senatorial campaign funds.
Better to donate directly to candidates. There should be NO POINT in donating to a PAC, even one supported by Trump, in my opinion.
Just asking……winred in address bar is it rnc or Trump? I’m thinkin’ it’s the rnc club riding on PDJT coattails.
Lesko Brandon FJB

Exactly.
‘WinRed is an American Republican Party (GOP) fundraising platform endorsed by the Republican National Committee. It was launched to compete with the Democratic Party’s success in online grassroots fundraising with their platform ActBlue.’
~ Wikipedia
And it’s a complete grift. Do some research. Look up the $21 million that they had to refund to innocent Trump voters, after they turned one-time donations into recurring, monthly donations as a grift.
They threaten candidates with withholding money if the candidate uses any other fundraising platforms.
I could go on and on..But it’s the worst thing around. And unlike ActBlue. It’s NOT NON -PROFIT. It’s privately owned and the owners make millions on the commissions.
Wow. Just think how creating a new party might eliminate that. Nah, bad idea. We can fix it all within the GOP/RNC.
if you give WinRed your credit card, you are doomed they will never let go. You’ll have to fraud cancel it to get unsnarled
I would be happy to again donate to President Trump if he uses the money for his campaign or for someone like Kathy Barker.
I do NOT want my money going to the “carpetbagger of oz” or rona rnc no matter how many promises they make.
You can tell me all you want about lesser of two evils and such but I always ask how’s that working out for us??
Honestly, the little guy should not send one dime till we find out what’s going on. They have “a war chest” to “fight the steal” …which has not been used.
Millions upon millions…
Over a quarter Billion $…
Amen, brother
Look at the small print at the bottom of the page. If RNC or GOP is there, don’t give a dime!
If you make a donation DO NOT SUPPLY a legit email address or phone number. “Don Jr” will pummel you with 5 emails a day and sell your number to 50 differnt candidates and causes. I regret my $60 donation in 2016 to this day.
It seems like 99.9% of GOP campaign donations are funneled through WinRed. Probably safer to just send a check to whatever candidate addressed to his or her campaign headquarters.
I snail mail to Greene, Gaetz and Boebert just fine. Candidates get it all, no cut for the swamp
i wonder how many people checked the box this week,“I want to designate $3 to the Presidential Election Campaign Fund?”
I have never checked that box. But, who ever is looking at your form at IRS can sure as hell check it for you.
The political class knows no party
Its an exclusive club.
never give to WINRED RINOS
Never ever is correct.
Winred is a app used by all GOP candidates including President Trump. It is much like paypal in that it charges a small percentage to forward the money to candidates. Best bet would be to write a check directly to the candidate of your choice.
What gets me is they sell their contributors personal information to whoever waves a dollar and make 💲💲💲💲💲💲 that way, the bums.😠
So here are the candidates that made the ballot. Time to start vetting them. Has the Uniparty indicated which candidate they prefer?
The one with a D next to their name.
How many of them are supposedly retired alphabet intelligence ?
YES they certainly have and the top three names just got removed – I n spite of Donald Trump and in this case that is a very good thing!
https://tennesseestar.com/2022/04/17/78-percent-of-campaign-contributions-to-carpetbagger-tn-5-candidate-morgan-ortagus-are-out-of-state/
Murray what’s your assessment of Kurt Winstead?
Good work, Murray! All three also failed to meet longstanding requirements for candidates, such as voting in the states’s last three primaries, membership in th local GOP, etc. These candidates seem to think themselves above the law (rules). We need less, not more, of those in DC. Good riddance!
Second time this week that Sundance has been materially factually incorrect (77 vs 900,000 plus shares owned by Twitter Board) or omitted material facts.
Let the cheating begin!!
They already did that when they placed their illusion of choice in the Primaries.
As always we are left with trying to choose between the lesser of the two greatest evils.
Time to make elections fraud free again. #VoteAmish Paper Ballots, One Day In Person Voting, Legal Citizen for that Precinct with ID, Hand Counted on CTV in Public.
Rino Uniparty Neocons Its all the same sociopaths.
We are waaaay beyond voting our way out of the insanity.
Don’t forget the lawfare and judges that have been corrupted in the Marxist School Systems of Higher Indoctrination.
Could a write-in candidate tactic work in Tennessee? The time to invest in a grass roots effort to enter and change the club as it is constituted is not available for the upcoming primaries. Why not organize a write-in effort to effect a more representative candidate? It may be a long-shot, but a clear and unambiguous message might be sent to the “club”.
All ballots have a write in line. That’s how Murkowski managed to get re-elected.
Won’t work like it did for murky Murkowski.
She had Democrat help voting for her as a write-in.
Allegedly.
That maybe the way to go, since the establishment RINOS rule Tennessee Republican party.
At some point we have to stop pretending that the Republican wing of the Uniparty can be transformed into a MAGA party. It’s not going to happen.
It can be changed but it requires not sitting here complaining on the internet and signing up to become a committee man or woman in your county in your state. It only requires one meeting a month but you go to all the states conventions and you’re involved in who’s nominated and who’s not. War room, via Steve Bannon, has been talking about this ever since January 21, and now there is a book on how to do it.
And they can simply change those rules and have already in some places. Our problem is we always tell them in advance what we are going to do. It’s not as easy you state. Every county in every state has a committee. Nationwide that is thousands.
And they can simply change those rules and have already in some places.
This.
Several boards have already been totally taken over by MAGA here in Arizona. It is easy to complain, harder to get involved and do something.
I’m currently running a campaign against the Conservative MPP in my riding. Campaigning is big business. You need time and money. A lot of it. The entrenched political parties have it.
Overcoming this is very difficult. For too long, conservatives have voted for the lesser of two evils. What we have received is liberal and liberal in disguise.
Failing this election bid, I will concentrate on action groups. There are many of us here in Ontario. We just have to unify and keep pushing against this nonsense.
Wearisome to see that politics is tilted towards the jobless and unproductive. I work 11 hour days. Who has the time or energy to get involved. My MPP has never ‘worked’ a day in his life.
Infuriating. But we must press on.
DD
Do you have a website where one can donate?
No out of provincial donations allowed. I’m just asking for prayer.
@DanDale78733292
God can do it for us.
DD
You came to the right place for those, DD. You shall have them in abundance from every branch of this Tree🙏.
😀. Much appreciated. When good men do nothing, evil triumphs.
DD
Yes sir…or as Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil.”
Isn’t there always a place for “WRITE IN CANDIDATE” on the ballets???
Write-in candidates cannot literally be written in as a person is standing there voting. It’s a bit of a misnomer.
They have to have a certain # of signatures to get themselves registered as a legit write-in, long before day of election. I cant remember the amount of days ahead though.
I used to work the elections. People would “ write in” donald duck, etc. I just know we knew who the official write-in candidates were.
Yes, and No. “The Illusion Of Choice”.
Not too sure, but from Ballotpedia:
A write-in candidate is someone whose name does not appear on the ballot, but whose name must be written on the ballot by voters.[1]
As of 2020, most states allow voters to write in the name of a candidate who does not appear on the ballot. However, states have varying rules about which write-in votes they count. These rules can be grouped into three categories:
Eight states do not have any requirements and will allow voters to write in any name as a write-in vote. This means that regardless of who you write in, the vote will be counted.[3] Those states are Alabama, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Wyoming.
Thirty-three states will only accept votes for write-in candidates who have officially registered with the state. In order for the vote to be counted, the candidate must have submitted all the necessary registration documents by a specific deadline, either by filing paperwork, paying a fee, collecting signatures, or some combination of the aforementioned.[4] Conversely, if a voter writes in the name of a candidate who has not properly filled out and submitted the paperwork, the vote will not be valid and counted.[5]
Nine states (Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina and South Dakota), do not allow write-in votes.
Thank you for this information!
It worked for Murkowski. gag.
Wasn’t there a Supreme Court ruling some time back, against term limit legislation? Their argument was that the people have the right to elect whoever they want, even if he/she is a lifelong politician. Why wouldn’t that same reasoning apply here? If the logic is parallel, a club has no standing to limit who’s on the ballot.
When have they followed the US Constitution which is the only legal law of the land? They pick and choose what they want to follow, which by Thomas Jefferson’s statements is TYRANNY.
By the way, the federal government, including the Supreme Court, can nOT change the Constitution. This includes Amendments.
This is because the US Constitution is the Contract, agreed to by the States, that created the federal government.
The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U. S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for any law which violates the Constitution to be valid.
“All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.” Marbury vs Madison, 5 US (2 Cranch), 137, 174, 176, (1803)
this is the PRIMARY which is by definition a selection of a candidate running FOR the party….as their representative they DO have a right to say who will represent them
Any political party that forces you to sacrifice your time and attention in order to stop them from doing the opposite of what you want is a false front organization.
Your vote and your donations alone are all that is needed by a legitimate party to do your will. They listen to your priorities and then represent them in government. If they lie or cheat or game the rules to prevent your opinions from counting, then that party is nothing but a diversion and trap.
Most people do not have the spare time or energy or money to attend political meetings. Normal people have enough on their plate with just job and family concerns. Any party that forces you to give up your evenings or weekends knows only a tiny minority will do this. They know that over time, normal people can’t maintain the intensity of involvement required to police the party.
Again, this isn’t how it ought to work. You are accepting blame for the party acting against your interests. A party by default should automatically represent your views. If they don’t, the only way to force them to change is to walk away from it. Nothing else will work. Not even honest participation. A party that consciously acts against your desires will have no compunction against unethical methods and cheating to make your participation useless.
Even if you join and sacrifice your time, they will still cheat and lie and act against you. The only thing they absolutely need is for you to remain and not leave.
Republican Party, what is the intention of blocking MAGA candidates in a Tennessee Republican primary?
Trump backed candidates are conservative. The RNC does not want conservatives. They want those who will go along and not rock the boat.
Exactly so.
The reason the founders were set against political parties/factions.
But people like “belonging.” Even though it is plain to see that NO ONE can possibly “represent” the wishes of more than one or two people. NO ONE.
NO ONE is represented by any political party or in Congress or the White House, or any of the myriad departments, agencies, programs, or projects.
The few at the top making the decisions for themselves and their top donors are the rulers, and if you participate thinking any of them is your “representative” and will listen to and carry out your wishes, no matter how true and good and well-founded, you are agreeing that you are their willing dupe.
Why do we not see and stop this charade? What is so scary about actual individual freedom and mutual cooperation free of such things?
Who among human beings has a right to rule the rest of us?
Who among human beings is qualified to rule the rest of us?
Who says, and why?
And why don’t we see and embrace the truth and stop this thieving and murderous nonsense?
John Adams wrote about them in Federalist Papers #10 and pointed out no matter their benevolence at the beginning eventually parties will ALWAYS seek their own agenda at the expense of what is best for America
In Ole Tennsyltucky where consanguinity runs high we do it with our sisters as soon as they’re knee high.
So Mitch has his dirty little Kentucky fingers in this mess?
Would be no surprise.
I think it’s been that way for a long time, the Elites select and if we reject they just cheat. Tell me where I’m wrong.
Elections are little more than just referendums on the choices of the Elites in the R and D parties.
Exactly right. To a “T”.
It amazes me that anyone is still a part of either of these crooked institutions. Err… I guess I should rephrase that somehow as they are 2 sides of the same coin and the only difference is cosmetic, put there to make it seem like you are making a choice.
https://www.tngop.org/contact-us
The Tennessee Republican Party wants to hear from you – tell us your thoughts and what you think we should do in upcoming elections to keep our state RED!
Tell them to get rid of Open Primaries. They are death to conservatives.
W3 dodged that bullet in FL by only 3%! Sponsored by a wealthy RINO Cuban, of all people.
The long knives are out…
https://tennesseestar.com/2022/04/17/78-percent-of-campaign-contributions-to-carpetbagger-tn-5-candidate-morgan-ortagus-are-out-of-state/
I admit I don’t like Morgan Ortagus one bit. She’s a Faux News Faux Conservative in the Guy Benson/Marco Rubio tradition and the carpetbagger moniker fits her. But i was hoping Starbuck would get on the ballot and win that seat. I hope he runs as an independent and flips off both parties.
But with the Dominion Cheat Machines you really cannot trust any election result at this point. Rumor has it McConnell would not have won his last Senate bid if they didn’t cheat via the Machines.
A RINO and McConnell lackey.
Let the people vote and decide. Not some insider club dictating who can.
This is why both Steve Bannon and John Frederick’s I’ve been pushing people to get off the dime and become involved in their state parties at the local level. They still have half the slots filled that are available in the Republican Party throughout the United States.
what slots? what specifically can we do to get involved? (Sorry, I’m just unfamiliar with how to do this. What’s step 1, step 2, step 3, etc. I will do it but going to the Indiana GOP website and I get lost.) Thanks for any direction you can provide.

Bugs Bunny said it best:
Bugs Bunny – This Means War – YouTube
The Republican National Committee, Inc. is just a company…… check their D&B rating.
They are as woke as coke, disney and hersey when it comes to MAGA.
The Tennessee Republican Party is just an affiliate of the national corporation.
Get some MAGA legal beagles after the corporation …….. they ain’t politicians, they are crooked businessmen.
Sue them, boo them, fire them ……… just like any other company.
write-in candidates work if
people know to do so – you must do mailings and signs to get the word out
the name is spelled accurately – provide a card for people to bring – any deviation can be grounds to discard the vote
candidate must be known and therefore must attend every event in the area possible
be aware write-ins are tabulated after the election results are released via the news – the news only reports aggregate write-ins if at all. If a write in wins it often won’t be announced officially until almost thanksgiving. By then the media can convince you someone else won.
I live in this district and two of these candidates are newly moved here including Ortegus so they are clueless about Tennessee values, customs and norms. Plus they didn’t vote in the last republican primary which literally should be like the most basic requirement. I mean damn. We have some seriously conservative people running in this race including out mayor Andy Ogles who was the only mayor in TN who never mandated masks and he also at the county level refused to enforce the health care worker vaccine mandate. In a slick move he declared a county state of emergency saying there would not be enough health care workers to treat people during the pandemic in our local regional hospital. There was never anyone more MAGA than Ogles. Seriously I would trust him with my kids. So the fact that Starbucks Ortegus and the other guy were kicked out is a huge blessing. I speak as someone literally at ground zero of this race.
This is the info needed! what is your thought on Winstead?
I read in another article earlier that the three were not allowed to run due to the requirement that candidates must have lived in the district for 3+ years and all had just recently just moved to TN.
That law will apply to the next election. It was because they didn’t even vote in the last republican primary…seriously?!?!? 🤦♀️🙄🤦♀️🤦♀️🙄
Write ins?
Political parties exist because the voters allow them to exist. If we could somehow get the majority of people to change their voting habits and start supporting independent candidates, then it would collapse the two party system, but I honestly don’t know how we get there.
the two major parties have set the rules so that they have an advantage in ANY election at ALL levels…their election laws and regulations limit and hinder any opposition from outside the established two-party rule
Seriously hardly anyone here locally wanted these three to be on the ballot. There was huge conservative local support for them to not be included. In fact because of Robbie Starbucks and Morgan Ortegas running and the fact that they’re not even local to Tennessee they recently moved here…the Tennessee state legislature passed a law stating that you had to be a resident of Tennessee for three years before you could run for office and there was huge support for that law to be passed…unfortunately it doesn’t apply until next election season so this was a way to get these candidates out of here even though the law isn’t enforceable until next year. It’s a huge blessing. There are much better choices left on the ticket
The rules are there. What did they expect?
Tennessee 1, Carpetbaggers 0. Now if the invaders from CA and NY could somehow be blocked.
Personally, I’m glad they took them off! Morgan, especially! She dropped into town, no history of voting in TN at all and doesn’t know a thing about the district she was trying to win! She couldn’t even name the street that goes through District 5! This was a bad choice by PDT in my opinion. I think you’ll find that is a common opinion around here.
I’m in full agreement about the GOP otherwise. I won’t give a dime to them!
Just my 2 cents…back in my hole! LOL
DJT doesn’t do his own endorsements, they are done for him, and SOLD FOR MONEY…Even by Corey Lewandowski. Disgusting.

Biannual Reorganization in Tennessee
Reorganization of the Republican Party happens during odd number years in every county accross the state. During reorganization, the five member county executive committee is voted in.
Once the new executive committee has been voted in, reorganization is complete. The executive committee will then be the only members who vote on behalf of the party to endorse candidates or adopt a platform. Despite not being able to vote on behalf of your precinct outside of reorganization, there are still many chances to be involved politically in your community
Next Steps
Read: Preparing for Reorganization in TN to understand how to plan if you would like to run for a seat on your county GOP executive committee of if you would simply like to replace some or all of your executive committee members during the next reorganization.
Some major anti-Semitism apparently happening as well.
A state Senator said Trump endorsed wouldn’t care that Ortagus(who is Jewish) was prevented from running in primary, only his Jewish family members would be upset.
Dude sounds like a real a$$.
Ugh. Let me write the first sentence correctly. A state Senator said Trump wouldn’t care that his endorsed candidate Ortagus was prevented from running in primary.
Not buying it.
Ortagus can’t play that card if she decided to cooperate with the Biden thieves. Don’t care if she is Jewish, Hindu or Baptist.
This is why a believe a Republican win in the 2022 elections of the house and senate is worthless if unprincipled politicians are at the helm and are supported by most of the representatives. People must vote for decisive, principled and honest candidates and not those anointed by the elites.
Morgan Ortegus is a big fat RINO.
Do what Mitch McConnell did in Alaska, write in the Mega candidate.
Maga candidate , sorry spell check got me!
George Washington was 100% right about the inherent dangers of any/all political parties.
Read his Farewell Address.
Read it.
Political parties are specifically NOT intended to serve the best interests of a representative Republic.
Stop expecting political parties to do what they were NEVER intended to do.
Read the Farewell Address. Then read it again. If there is serious disagreement with his insights and the truths he states, have at it. But don’t keep expecting political parties to do something they were NEVER intended to do.
The rules in TN have been there awhile and all this shows is that these candidates failed to do their due diligence and hired bad lawyers. They will have to go their own way and have a good chance of winning regardless.
In Alaska Republicans rejected swamp rat Murkowski who then ran as a ‘write-in’ candidate and won. Another strategic blunder from the GOP. Now their state has Ranked-Choice Elections that destroy the one-man-one-vote the founders intended.
Swamp Rats write the rules for self preservation just like unions.
McCormick is a GOPe RINO.
Yep, everyone rails against Oz in the PA Senate race but the alternative, McCormick has proven his status as a swamp rat.
Not quite. In Alaska the VOTERS rejected Murkowski in the primary. She came back as a write-in in the general and won.
In TN, we aren’t allowed to choose among primary challengers. The party decided we needed choosing for us.
THAT is the issue at hand.
1st. Alaska ‘Republicans’ are the VOTERS who rejected Murkowski forcing her to seek other avenues to get elected (write-in).
2nd. Tennessee Republicans want people to live there for a reasonable amount of time before they can represent their citizens in congress. Perfectly normal
Age and Residency requirement are in the Constitution for the House (Article I, Section 2, Clause 2) Senate (Article I, Section 2), and President (Article II, Section 1, Clause 5)
3rd, Tennessee provides Ballot Access for Independents and Write-ins that the 3 excluded candidates can use to get elected. Perfectly normal
The real issue at hand is how stupid those 3 excluded candidates are to think rules don’t apply to them and that they were completely unaware of them.
Run as an independent and screw the gop. It’s a democrat seat anyways so if a democrat wins let the gop know they screwed the pooch.
I wish Trump would identify this and talk about it at his rallys. Hammer this point home.
What’s about to happen is a fissure between the MAGA crowd and the Uniparty crowd within the GOP, which will split the vote & give the Democrats a 100-year reign. And I’m not so sure it’s not by design. These new candidates have gone on shows like Wilkow’s and announced they’ll vote for cutting the budget & removing earmarks, both things that hurt the McConnells and McCarthys of the group. The only way this stops is to stop the ones making these Uniparty decisions.
I predict that Ukraine war support/non-support will be the wedge that the media throws into the mix, May-August. Then in September you’ll have the 1/6 Committee “recommendations” and they’ll turn that wedge into intraparty war with no chance of regrouping before November. IMO the #IStandWithUkraine suckers are being played and we’re going to suffer for their weak minds and outdated antagonism toward the Soviet Union.
“The Truth has no defense
against a fool determined
to believe a lie…”
Mark Twain. THE TITANIC HAS LEFT PORT
Supposedly they weren’t living in Tennessee long enough to be on the ballot. If anyone from Tennessee can confirm this rule please do so.
Still, suspicious.
You are correct Lara! GOPe or not, they were taken off because they are carpet baggers! I whole heartedly agree with this decision and am glad they made it! Otherwise, we are thrown right back into the swamp briar patch! I’m now gonna watch for the announcement that she has left the state!
45 showed the way you take over the existing party. The point is to win and have a voice. The socialist took over the Dems. Basically enough of us have to have the courage to get involved in local politics and take over GOPe. Starting a new party takes resources and a lot more time and effort and more importantly will need to attract enough Republicans independents and some Democrats. Time is of the essence
And FUNDRAISERS, and be prepared to give..Until it hurts… I mean college money, Christmas money, vacation money. It’s gonna hurt, but that’s the price of having a chance!
And don’t think for a minute this won’t be the same tactics applied in 2024 to keep Trump from running again. McConnell can’t have Trump back in there –it threatens the Uniparty since he’ll be unbridled in what he can do. We keep this up we’ll have Romney as the GOP candidate in 2024 by orders of McConnell.
The dying influence of the Chamber in Republican politics causes desperate actions. You saw that for 4 years, 2016-2020. The Chamber doesn’t care what institutions it destroys or what people it destroys or what a majority of Republican voters want.
Bad news is their losing control will cause some real problems in 2022 and 2024 but the good news is they are soon to be MIA in politics in the Republican party.
I wouldn’t count on it.
Until the actual Republicans stop being like the dummycrats (sorry) they will do no better. In the first place, they have to get rid of the ones that keep ‘always’ voting for anything dummy wants….like they do now. How about voting for what the public wants? Ever heard of “listening” to what people (all people) have to say? Not saying you have to always agree, but for pete sake, listen to what the public says. You might learn a thing or three. Not expecting to be changed, but for pete sake, LISTEN.
Do candidates have to take an oath of fealty to McConnell? Enquiring minds want to know.
Pretty sure that it works kind of like this.
To get a particular committee assignment from the respective leadership of the House or Senate, you will probably need to give 8 figure (or more?) “contributions” to the party.
Which “contributions” will be supplied by lobbyists, so no out of personal pockets.
Those “contributions” come with favors owed, and payable in kind to the grantor when they call it in.
Besides, there is a mint to be made with insider trading on the side. For example, just imagine the opportunities within the United States Senate Committee on Armed Forces.
So true, RF…like kids in a candy store.
You are so right RF. Our fat and lazy incompetent generals are traitors to their oath. Swore to protect the country from communism, dictators, and totalitarianism Now, still sitting on their fat asses, they are on the boards of huge weapons manufacturer’s and take in huge sums from defense contractors.
They are now joined with all of those they swore to protect our country from.
Communist’s and Totalitarians.
Soldiers of fortune, mercenaries. The lowest of the low.
Dear Lord, send us an General Eishenhower who predicted all of this.
Eisenhower was likely involved in Patton’s assassination.
So in order to be on a Congressional committee, an elected representative has to pay a large sum of money to their party.
Is there a word or phrase for this process?
Is it “skin in the game”?
I was on the board of directors for a small non-profit organization. Two board members were unfairly dressed down in a meeting by the board president.
The president had been critical of the pair for months (behind their backs) because they had not donated money to the org., saying they had not shown they “had skin in the game”. The pres. said this again after they hurriedly left the meeting–one of them in tears.
I see this attitude in the political parties, in Congress, in the president of a board, as tyrannical.
All committee assignments are for sale. Ranking members pay more.
Actually, depends on the Committee.
If you are lousy at fund raising, you get stuck on the Committee to limit non-binding resolutions, the underwater basket weaving committees.
Ways and Means, Commerce, Military, Intelligence,…THOSE are the Committees where you can pick up a LOT of graft, so membership, and even more Chairmanship, comes at a PREMIUM.
One of the reasons all those Republican reps resigned in 2018 wasn’t only to screw MAGA, but because they had been committee chairs, and had been term limited out…So their gravy train was gone Pubbies do have term limits on chairmanship, Dims do not.
Disgusting scum.
It all depends on how much money you can raise. Several reps have said that,60g of their time was spent raising money, instead of studying issues and knowing how to vote.
Just read another article that they have to BUY THEIR WAY INTO THEM.
Ken Buck wrote a good book on this in 2016, all the nasties.
My own well-intentioned, naive, one-term Democrat rep told me that within days of getting to DC, that he was taken aside, along with other newbie Dim reps, and told in no uncertain terms, that they were NOT THERE TO REPRESENT THEIR CONSTITUENTS, but only the Party leaders, a la Pelosi.
If they didn’t vote her way, they would have no committees, no support, nothing, and they would be ostracized by everyone.
<Do candidates have to take an oath of fealty to McConnell?>
Oath of Omerta 🙂
No kidding. That is exactly how I view them all.
It reminds me of “Serpico”, if you ain’t on the take, and as guilty as the rest, you don’t get in or last long in the “Organization”..
isn’t it disgusting that American politics is put in this category? Didn’t used to be that way.
I dunno, ma’am. Things have been bad since the Tammany Hall days at least.
Why would the Republican Party want to run candidates who could actually win against Democrats???
yuup, they do if they want his backing.
