Thanks to a more detailed filing by John Durham last night {pdf here, h/t Techno}, we can now see the guardrails, rules and general direction the prosecution is taking.
In essence, the underlying Trump-Russia conspiracy theory material from the Clinton campaign, via Rodney Joffe to Michael Sussmann, was fabricated – likely for a dual purpose:
(A) to coverup and make excuses for the stunningly embarrassing, potentially unlawful and politically terrible April 2016 DNC email leaks, which showed the DNC Club internally working to secure the nomination for Hillary Clinton, while trying to destroy her primary opponent, Bernie Sanders.
and
(B) to create the political Russia narrative against Trump, to be deployed later in the general election.
Within the general direction Durham is following, the FBI was duped by a purposeful and manipulative intent from the Clinton campaign. Meanwhile, the CIA [Agency-2] did not buy into the technological evidence saying it was not “technically plausible” and was “user created and not machine/tool generated.”

The prosecutorial approach by John Durham positions all of the corruption outside the institutions of government, thereby protecting them.

Point being…there was no duping in both scenarios and INTEL was the basis of the stories and even the FBI operations. There was never a “leaked” denial by INTEL.
Recall all we here on CTH initially discussed, back in 2016 and 2017. The FBI used information from INTEL to move forward with their operation. There can be no claim, INTEL was protecting anything. The FBI could make the wild claim that US INTEL were the ones doing the duping.

The comical aspect to the duping story is the FISA Requests submitted by the FBI. We covered them here in detail on CTH, 4 years ago.
The FBI, in their first FISA requests, even stated the Dossiers were suspect. So, we have a FISA Court issueing warrants to the FBI that now claims they were duped after the FBI admitted the Dosiers were suspect in their first warrant requests.
Again, all US INTEL had to do to stop the who Russia-Russia scam was “leak” a denial in October 2016. No denials have ever been leaked.

The purpose of the Durham investigation, is to cement permanently, a NARRATIVE.
To promulgate the narrative that it was all a “dirty tricks” operation conducted by the Clinton campaign, to win an election.

In order for the Insurance policy to make sense, let alone have any chance of success, the planners had to be GUARANTEED of a couple of things;
1) that there would be no effective investigations by FBI/DOJ that would expose the coup plan.
2)likewise, there would be no effective investigations in the House or the Senate, that would expose the plot.
3) the House would “flip” in the midterms, because there is no way a Republican controlled House could be SEEN as doing the things Nanzi did, in order to initiate an Impeachment against PDJT.
The “small group” of active participants (Comey, Mueller, etc.) could guarantee #1.
However, ONLY McConnell and Ryan, in 2015 when the planning occurred, could possibly guarantee #’s 2 and 3.
