Yes, when a war is taking place and you use a shopping center as an area to conceal heavy armor and armored vehicles, you turn that shopping center into an authentic target for attack. If a military hides amid a civilian population, they are putting the civilian population at risk.
This is not to say Vladimir Putin was justified in his decision to invade Ukraine. However, it is also not okay for western media to claim a moral high-horse and then conceal how the facility was being used by the Ukraine military.

Here is where I need help. I know nothing about photoshopping. How to do it or how to spot it. But in the second picture with the red circle, the lines don’t seem to match up on the car in the red circle. Can someone who has younger eyes and have more knowledge than myself see the same thing or is it just me?

you’re talking about the horizontal white bar on the tailgate and the horizontal roof line, they both look to have a slight offset at roughly the vertical centerline of the car, with right half slightly up compared to left half
if you look to the distance, there’s a similar slight offset in the horizontal walkway reached by the staircase … same displacement sense: right side up
and if you look in the foreground just past the white car, there’s a similar slight jog in the narrow pained lines on the pavement
I wouldn’t guess photoshop, I’d want to know the source and method of the photo
somewhere elsewhere on the thread mentioned the photo might be a Google maps street view photo
knowing a little about that (very little), my understanding is they drive around with a camera truck and scan continuous imagery … a long ribbon of imagery, if you will, except it’s digital data these days
so there’s got to be some way of “stitching” the successive narrow scan strips into one long ribbon, and I’d expect they get slight artifacts in that process
if not stitching, it could be as simple as the truck moved across a seam in the pavement and the asphalt was slightly higher on the other side because it was laid in sections originally
so if that’s the source of that photograph, than that’s what I’d judge an expectable artifact from the driving/scanning/photographic process

ah, and stepping back and looking overall, that pavement looks to be on a downward grade left to right and bottoms out flat right about at the white car. so there could well be a grade or tilt artifact, the scanner equipment likely is servo-stabilized and probably making small corrections often
in hollywood they mount servo-stabilized camera packs on camera men’s backs so they can walk or run along with them … they call them steadi-cams
The pavement has a 3% or 4% fall from both left and right, to the drainage grates beside the white car. (I’ve built a few parking lots in my time, some much more difficult than this one appears to be.)
Camera induced distortion of distant objects can be deceiving – the original photo would need to be viewed.

I am assuming you are talking about the vertical split in the image on the window of the black crossover vehicle behind the sign post. That is the result of google images being spliced and blended to create an image. Like you see in street view on google maps. I assume thats where this image originated.
If you go to (Dare I say it) RT.com there is a piece titled ‘Moscow explains missile strike on Kiev Mall’
In that you can see these vehicles actually firing multiple rockets and then being traced back by a drone to the mall and being watched then what seems to be much later when (presumably) there are no people in the mall the Russians destroy it. You can also see the original picture of these vehicles on a Twitter post…….
The same tactics are used for all residential areas that snipers hide in………and are the only ones that appear targeted for attack.

Good you posted that, I was going to do it if no one else did. Also, I have to admit that RT seems to be quite balanced and unbiased in their reporting of the conflict so far. I expected much more of a pro-government tilt, but – unlike western media – when they are unable to confirm some government claims independently, they state just that. Imagine!
It is actually a piece that all should read if they are interested in both sides of the argument.

Yeah, as the Western media is completely fraudulent, I have switched over the the Russian language media for information. And from what I see there is very little propaganda. The message is that this struggle will be long and drawn out… it is just a matter of waiting for the surrounded areas to run out of supplies and to minimize casualties. And the rest is about how to switch over the economy to a non-Western based one. Generally the mood is resolute but gloomy/resigned. The only propaganda I see is the silence… as certain things won’t be discussed like casualty figures, military specifics, etc. All understandable in a time of war. IMHO

Same as the 2 leaders differences – Z tries to appeal to our civilized nature in a way that we can’t say no exactly as con artist. On another note- i recently read some RT articles. The articles were written professionally and stated both sides of the issue, stating what one side claims, and then what moscow claimed.
It was far more objective and professional than ANY mainstream news in the US. It left the opinion up to the reader instead of forcing the writer’s opinion through propaganda and concealment.

Two different pics taken at two different times.
The roof line of the car as well as the license plate look jumbled. Also the walkway above the opening looks similarly jumbled. Thus would indicate image manipulation.
There are free tools to detect image manipulation but you would still require some background knowledge.
We still need to becareful because cropping and rescaling images for web publication can come across as manipulations of the unintended variety.

Its a google earth drive by photo – there are lots and lots of artifacts in those images – I’d be more worried if the top photo had image artifacts – the bottom one showing a random date google earth photos does not concern me in the slightest.
wide angle lenses distort and cause perspective to look wildly off or made up. I still don’t know what you said looked “Photoshoped?” It’s a small diameter wide angle lens, it creates Perspective lines on steroids’. /\ like that.
I actually first noticed what appears to be manipulation of the first photo with the military vehicles parked under the building. When I zoomed in, I noticed the person dressed in white on the left has a grainy “aura” around him that doesn’t quite match the background behind him, as if he was photoshopped in. I don’t know why this would matter, but it made me suspicious of the photo as a whole.
I don’t NEED to work, or scrutinise pictures, or search to find pictures of “brave, exhausted Ukranian firefighters” are actually pics of australian firefighters,..
