This is not good for working class Americans, not good at all. With gas prices already jumping, oil futures have now eclipsed a 15-year high and the outlook does not look good.
(MSM) – […] West Texas Intermediate crude futures, the U.S. oil benchmark, traded 8% higher to above $125 a barrel, the highest since July 2008. At one point the price rose to $130.50 Sunday evening before retreating.
The international benchmark, Brent crude, traded 9% higher to $128.60, also the highest price seen since 2008. Brent hit a high of $139.13 at one point overnight.
“Oil is rising on the prospect for a full embargo of Russian oil and products,” said John Kilduff of Again Capital. “Already high gasoline prices are going to keep going up in a jarring fashion. Prices in some states will be pushing $5 pretty quickly.” (read more)
What was the last gas price in your neighborhood?
Yes, a president can and does control the price of gasoline. What can a U.S. President and administration specifically do? We have abundant U.S. energy resources. Quite literally the strongest in the entire world.
- Permit the use of preexisting approved leases in ANWAR (Alaska) to put more volume into the Alaskan oil pipeline that is severely underutilized.
- Finish the Dakota access pipeline.
- Re-approve the preexisting energy leases in New Mexico, Arizona, NE Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
- Retract the stoppage of the Keystone pipeline to permit efficient oil transport shipments from Canada.
- Stop blocking the expansion of coastal oil refineries in Texas, Louisiana and Alabama (regulatory issue), as well as Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Seaboard.
- Continue to develop natural gas as a clean burning fuel.
- Drive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an export.
.
Unfortunately, this would mean reversing the entire energy policy of the current administration. The existing energy inflation and high prices of oil, natural gas and gasoline are a direct and intentional part of Joe Biden’s policy. That policy is driven by the leftist demand for a “green new deal.”
None of the actions above require any approval from OPEC. Strategically, the ‘all of the above’ approach enhances U.S. national security and diminishes the influence of Russia, China and Iran. Within six months of the above, gasoline will plummet.
“If we ban Russian oil, we need to do it in a way that doesn't dramatically increase prices for American consumers. If the price of a barrel of oil goes to $150…you and I can afford that, but there are a lot of low income consumers who would be hurt.” pic.twitter.com/pQox571V65

$4.09/ Central Maine
$4.19 in Savannah, Ga. when I went to bed. Price probably went up overnight with crude hitting $130.
Regular unleaded jumped to $3.59 at one gas station in my area. That was earlier last night. Who knows what it will cost tomorrow? It’s 4:30am right now. I still have a mountain bike and drive 1.9 miles to my job, thank God. I don’t know how other workers who commute longer distances to work are going to manage.
My son’s small business he works for uses diesel trucks. Under Pres Trump he got a significant raise in over 10 years. Now, he’s hoping the business doesn’t fold. In one year these devils have done this.
And this whole media propaganda with standing by Ukraine is another diversion. They have to kill our economy, specifically the working and middle classes!
They LOVE Putin and Xi and the communist regimes, they are Them! and are all in on on it together.
.
Both my car and truck are year 2000s. Over 21 years old. Bought them brand new and managed to keep them running. As much as I would like newer vehicles, I think I’ll just stay with the ones I already have.
But, I was looking at Triumph motorcycles on their websites. The T-100 Bonneville looked appealing and the price wasn’t prohibitive. Those things run like rockets if they’re tuned up and maintained properly.
$4.10 for regular on the Lk. Michigan shoreline, lower peninsula.
Jumped 20 cents from Friday to Saturday in NW mountains of NC. $3.99 for regular and 4.89 for diesel.
Betting we see another jump Monday or Tuesday.
In my one stop light, little NE Ohio town gas is 4.00 regular unleaded. $3.80 just a few miles out of town.
Stopped last night to fill up. Overheard a man cussing out FJB as he was filling up his truck and 3 gas cans.
4.19 regular unleaded in Central Oregon. Of course I drive 52 miles a day round trip to work.
$5.01 US for for a gallon of regular here in Nova Scotia Canada.
$4.39 US for a gallon of Furnace Oil.
$8.32 CDN a gallon in my small town in Ontario. Vote liberal.
Wow, thought we had it bad. We’re at about $6.32 CDN per US gallon here. (I’m assuming you are basing that on imperial gallons (4.546L per gal) vs US gallons (3.6L per gal)?) If we are talking imperial gallons and Canadian dollars we are around $8.04.
To fill my F150 with Regular (87) I’m looking at $238.95 per tank, and rising…. I don’t go anywhere but home, work, to the local park to walk my dog (approx 1 mile away), and for groceries and I’m now paying over $500 per month on gas alone.
Right now Diesel is $6.93 per US Gallon in Canadian dollars, or $5.43 per US gallon in US dollars.
I guess I should feel lucky that my furnace oil tank only costs around $1550 to fill now…. compared to $475 in Oct 2020.
It’s funny when you think about it…. all of these people that got big tax breaks for expenses for “working from home”, where people like me now need to spend around $6000 per year in gas just to get back and forth from work and we didn’t get anything, AND we got to be labeled “essential” so I had to work throughout this “pandemic” thus never saw a dime of any of this “Covid Relief” money either.
W Central WI
Regular 3.89, Diesel 4.78
$4.29 Southern Maine
$3.99 for 87 octane last night and as of 5 AM at Race Trac in Venice, FL.
Pittsburgh, pa here…….4.19 pg
My grandson is an over the road truck driver and I was complaining about how much it costs for gas and he told me he had just filled the truck and it was almost $600. The reason for the high food prices. Anybody that votes Dem or agrees to participate in voter fraud for them hopefully have a place reserved for them in a very HOT place.
If you think it’s expensive to ship by truck, try by ship.
Once the first ship sank in the Russian / Ukrainian conflict, the warzone clause was activated by Lloyds.
All ships operating in the zone are now without insurance. So, the owners are taking the risk upon themselves.
In order to send a ship into the warzone, you must not pay 50 to 60 TIMES more per day than before. Not percent but times. It’s not that they are avoiding Russian oil out of conscience. They just cannot find ships to pick it up and it they can, they cost too much.
$4.39 in Central PA this morning
Phoenix, AZ was $3.99 yesterday and, now sits at $4.41.
It will probably be closing in on $5.00 within a few days.
4.25 this morning -Louisville, KY up from 3.97 last night.
saturday 3.59, sunday 3.99, monday 4.19, south carolina
Saw my first gas line in 40 yrs. NJ drivers lining up for $3.72/gallon cash.
This is seeming very much like a set up – someone needs another “National Emergency” to shut down the economy again. Seems all about 2022 mid-terms to me. I think one cannot be too cynical or suspicious or skeptical.
I see a full internet shutdown coming and it’s all planned.
My brother actually vm me last night about a false flag EMP coming. I don’t know where he reads, but I have to admit for once I didn’t roll my eyes.
I’m now wondering, given the timing, whether they forced a spike this specific weekend in order to blame the trucker convoy somehow.
This would all be solved over the mid-term if the USA transitioned to natural gas powered vehicles. The Progressive Democrats and some Republicans are intentionally committing an act of economic destruction by doing everything they can to block/restrict petroleum.
It is a purely political act on their part and they obviously do not care about the impact it has on people. The responsible thing to do would be slowly weaning us off petroleum, transitioning to natural gas and then transitioning to electric over time.
I don’t want an electric car nor natural gas.
I’m tired of the Federal government making all the decisions.
Regular is 3.95. We’ll see what today brings 😡
Theres a $75 limit…you have to start a new transaction if you need more.
$4.09 in Tennessee. Was close to $1.50/gal last summer.
Let’s Go Brandon!
SE WA St: Regular was $3.87/gal on Thursday…same station on Saturday $4.11/gal. LGB!
My brother lives in Clarkston.
A few days ago when I last filled up here in Central CT
regular was 3.79 and Super was 4.09
$4.09 Northern Minnesota
Oil spike a nail in coffin for hapless Dems.
If Russian invasion of Ukraine was suppose to help Biden (a dubious theory at best) it doesn’t appear to be working, does it?
4.41 in Yardley, Pa (southeastern part of state).
Gas was $3.99 three days ago.
Upstate SC – cheapest is at Sams for $3.64/gal.
I’ve decided the only way my service business survives, is to make my labor rate per hour the same as the price of a barrel of oil….
My sentiments exactly. I currently drive 250 miles per day average to service and repair generators in my area. This is disastrous to me and to my customers.
It gets worse! A good friend who owns a scrap yard called last night and told me copper hit $5.00 yesterday.
Copper? Ammo will go up again, if we can ever find it.
Is it in bad taste to dance on the graves of leftists?
Asking for a friend….
Piss on the graves.
I say leave em’ hanging as a testimony
The worst has yet to come.
There is no way Iran or Venezuela are going to sell us oil after what we have done to their nations for the past 3+ decades.
It is going to be interesting watching the Democrat Party tearing itself apart as the moderates scream at Biden to open up all avenues of oil/natural gas exploration.
All FJB needs to do is turn loose our oil and gas producers — drill baby drill!
I agree much worse yet to come; however – both those countries have chosen their own paths. Ya want socialism, ya get socialism. Ya want the clerics running the country, ya got clerics running the country. We didn;t do that to them.
Sure they will, for the right price. Nuclear perhaps…
North Carolina here.
Last Thursday while I was in a station pumping gas, the price went from 3.47 to 3.59. Never had that happen before. I had started at the lower price so that’s what I got. Yesterday price was 3.91 most places in my area.
The highest gas price i have seen is 4.199 cash and 4.299 credit for regular gas. its either that price or 3.899 cash and 3.999 credit so i expect the lower prices will go to the higher prices soon.
This is metro detroit area
On 2-25 gas was 3.25 Grand Rapids MI. Now at 3.89 most stations with a handful at 4.25 this morning. Summer blend gas coming in April will ad another .15-.25, maybe more this year when it hits the pumps. $5 will be here soon.
Feb 28th 3.389
Mar 2nd 3.519
Mar 3rd 3.869

Not even gonna look today..
It was $3.59 yesterday morning (March 6, 2022) at 8am, $3.79 by lunch and $4.01 at 8pm near Greensboro, NC for 87 octane gas. Diesel went from $4.29 to $5.00 in the same time period at the same station.
$3.99 this AM at the Racetrac (usually a cheaper major) at the corner of 441 and Hog Mountain Road just a few miles south of Athens, Georgia. It was $3.69 yesterday and $3.49 on Friday (up from $3.19 a week a go, which raised to $3.69 on Wed and then went back down again). This area is a “suburb” of Athens, Georgia, itself a small farming university town that got bigger over the last forty years, and now on the extreme outer edge of the Atlanta megapolis – and highly desired due to the quality school system and quasi rural image. What is interesting is that I have watched the morning school rush traffic (thanks planners putting the elementary, middle, and high school right near each other) disappear in the last week – the kids are all being put on buses now, even if it means an hour trip. . .
“They” are successfully destroying us and the “they” are not Russians.
Denver went from 3.24 last Monday the 28th to 3.75 on Saturday the 5th.
South of Chicago on i55 $4.38 for regular grade (10% ethanol) and over $5.10 for diesel. The truckers have to pass it on – this is economic suicide. At a Friday Lent Fish Fry, people were saying they will drive less, but that doesn’t keep everything else from increasing in price!!!
$3.49 gal for regular in eastern Nebraska.
The virus, gas prices, the stolen election is all part of the cabal’s plan.
We desperately need President Trump back as soon as possible – Biden and the Uniparty have America on a path to economic suicide! Trump for Speaker!!!
If you are mad about gas prices going up blame Russia.
-Joe Biden
Russia would be foolish to sell oil to enemies who are screaming for war.
Oil brokering schemings will allow Russia to sell oil under a different flag. Vlad and his oligarchs will sell every drop of oil they produce.
Vlad and his oligarchs will sell every drop of oil they produce….
AT HYPER INFLATED PRICES!!!
Forget the gas price. Imagine what that rib eye is costing across the street!
$25/lb
Keep your eyes on WildFork food. Once a week I get an email of bargain meats. I got Ribeye last week for $4.95 a pound
And where does that beef come from? You do know China owns a ton of Farms here right?
By the way, I just looked up that company and the Ribeye I saw was $10.95 a lb.
is it lab-grown meat? Are you sure where it comes from?
I think you should be careful trying to buy meat at ridiculously low prices. A good cut of rib eye steak now sells for about $20/lb. An inferior cut, which is not rib eye and is cut from a lower quality section of the ribs, still sells for about $15/lb. If someone is offering rib eye steak at $5/lb, I might worry about whether the meat is even cut from a cow.
The war has been on cattle and supplies are already lagging way behind demand. The goal of the Global Warming Hoax crowd is to eliminate all large cattle ranches so that the land can be bought by Big Totalitarian Governments and huge corporate real estate interests. China now owns a decent percentage of the cattle ranches in several Rocky Mountain region States. All this to reduce cow flatulence pollution of our air, a problem that has never even been proven to affect the air quality by even an iota. So the money should be followed! Maybe the solar panel industry, which will need millions of acres of land to produce even a small percentage of our electricity needs, will be the beneficiary.
Our energy industry is being destroyed even though our air is far cleaner than it was when the earth was only supporting about 1 billion people who were burning fires to stay warm enough to survive. Apparently, they were doing much better than their predecessors, who couldn’t even make fire. Otherwise, how are there nearly 8 billion people living on earth today? Just horse shit polluted our cities more than what all of our supposedly homeless populations can do do on our sidewalks.
This stupidity must not be taught in any of our kids classrooms any more. People who have never accomplished a damned thing in their lives are teaching our kids how to be even more incompetent than they are. There is no telling how messed up everything will be in ten more years if we let the blind continue to lead the blind.

Rib Eyes were 8.98-9.98/lb in January, now they are 13.98/lb.
Richmond KY just south of Lexington.
This at Kroger and Walmart.
Buy a large quantity and freeze them, Big Al Brown. We are already paying $15 to $20/lb in Colorado and we have a relatively large cattle industry in our State.
The best political advertising for the Republicans in the next election cycle is posted gas prices. Right there. Out front. Every day. For everyone to see. And it’s free!
why, will they get off their A** then?
Be happy. $6.09/gal for premium in Orange County, CA.
Your actual prices are just like what the rest of us pay. But California has gas taxes that are $1.25/gal higher than most of us pay. They do not even indicate that there are gasoline taxes in the prices so they can blame it all on the oil companies.
Our actual price is not what the rest of you pay. Due to the air quality board, the gas formula changes twice a year and increases the base cost of gas in California. The actual price is $6.09/gal (as of Sunday), the highest in the country, and where 15% of the population resides.
It’s still CA govt that inflates the prices through eco regulations and taxes.
These idiots in charge think high oil prices will lead to alternative fuel investment such as solar and wind. The knuckleheads fail to realize that high oil prices drives up the cost of solar and wind materials and the cost to get them installed.
And they are the WEF. Do they have any brains?
“With the thoughts I’d be spewing
I could be JR Ewing
If I only had an oily brain”
The cost in energy, from the manufacturing of steel through the production and installation of a windmill will never be matched by the return generated by such windmill.
They also don’t consider we are 50 years away from alternative fuels becoming mainstream. The infrastructure to support electric vehicles is nowhere near in place. With rolling blackouts already common in some parts of the country, imagine the strain on the electrical grid when everyone comes home and plugs in their car!
Killing America over a pixie dust pipe dream isn’t an option. The first person that says anything to me today about Ukraine is going to get an earful about how little I care and how the Biden energy policies are leading us into an economic crises that will be devastating.
Yet to see any one of these idiots provide a calculation of just how many thousands of square miles will need to be paved over with solar and wind farms to provide all the electricity that will be needed for their all electric ‘green’ new world.
Saw a protest recently over copper mining here in AZ. Felt like asking them if they were ‘green worlders’ whether they were not more concerned with how to increase copper production by 10X in order to meet the demands of their coming all electric world.
Wait until people have to deal with electric cars exclusively …I have installed quick charging stations in some friends garages… It takes a 50 amp dedicated circuit to charge a car in 3 hours…If you have 2 electric cars you will need 2 stations…if you have kids…you get the picture… To have an electrician do it would be 2500 to 3500 for each station dealing with finished walls and ceilings. And it all needs to be grounded outside with a grounding ROD…For each
Keep in mind for a 3 hour charge it will be well over a 30 AMP draw for 3 hours…Straight… not like a dryer witch cycles the heat on and off…It will be the equivalent of running 30 – 100 watt light bulbs for 3 hours… almost every day…. times that by the amount of cars you have
Now Imagine if you live in south Florida and you had to evacuate the state because of a terrible storm or a tsunami? Most of these cars go 3 or 400 miles tops…Then what are people going to do? If you arrive at a place for charing cars…that means 3 hours… and if you have 3 people in front of you that would be 9 hours waiting time…. People have no clue whats involved…their electric meters will be spinning off the walls…
Great post. Going to share some of your points. Will not to commit plagiarism.
Try not to…
It’s all about the grift with those in and around the imperial Capitol.
They know what they are doing — they are intent on destroying the USA– until people get that this is not due to being “knucleheads” but is purposeful by the Neo-Bolsheviks to destroy the working class/Peons and bring in the NWO Great Reset there isn’t much hope – stop giving them the benefit of the doubt — they hate you.
No. People have lost all semblance of Common Sense & critical Thinking died decades ago!
The tree huggers need more vaccine.
Germany is buying more oil because their wind farm production was down last year. Yep, a wind drought LMAO
What about this does not look to be intentional? It all is looks as though they are gearing up a famine.
Yes. Doesn’t look like idiocy as much as intentional effort to bankrupt us. Perhaps to increase the upheaval when they finally get the dollar out of the way.
And of course the famine will be blamed on the “Climate Catastrophe” (or whatever the new name is), instead of on all the politics and policies with the intent to produce a famine.
Um.. they don’t care. They want you (and all of us) dead.
