This is not good for working class Americans, not good at all. With gas prices already jumping, oil futures have now eclipsed a 15-year high and the outlook does not look good.
(MSM) – […] West Texas Intermediate crude futures, the U.S. oil benchmark, traded 8% higher to above $125 a barrel, the highest since July 2008. At one point the price rose to $130.50 Sunday evening before retreating.
The international benchmark, Brent crude, traded 9% higher to $128.60, also the highest price seen since 2008. Brent hit a high of $139.13 at one point overnight.
“Oil is rising on the prospect for a full embargo of Russian oil and products,” said John Kilduff of Again Capital. “Already high gasoline prices are going to keep going up in a jarring fashion. Prices in some states will be pushing $5 pretty quickly.” (read more)
What was the last gas price in your neighborhood?
Yes, a president can and does control the price of gasoline. What can a U.S. President and administration specifically do? We have abundant U.S. energy resources. Quite literally the strongest in the entire world.
- Permit the use of preexisting approved leases in ANWAR (Alaska) to put more volume into the Alaskan oil pipeline that is severely underutilized.
- Finish the Dakota access pipeline.
- Re-approve the preexisting energy leases in New Mexico, Arizona, NE Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
- Retract the stoppage of the Keystone pipeline to permit efficient oil transport shipments from Canada.
- Stop blocking the expansion of coastal oil refineries in Texas, Louisiana and Alabama (regulatory issue), as well as Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Seaboard.
- Continue to develop natural gas as a clean burning fuel.
- Drive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an export.
.
Unfortunately, this would mean reversing the entire energy policy of the current administration. The existing energy inflation and high prices of oil, natural gas and gasoline are a direct and intentional part of Joe Biden’s policy. That policy is driven by the leftist demand for a “green new deal.”
None of the actions above require any approval from OPEC. Strategically, the ‘all of the above’ approach enhances U.S. national security and diminishes the influence of Russia, China and Iran. Within six months of the above, gasoline will plummet.
“If we ban Russian oil, we need to do it in a way that doesn't dramatically increase prices for American consumers. If the price of a barrel of oil goes to $150…you and I can afford that, but there are a lot of low income consumers who would be hurt.” pic.twitter.com/pQox571V65

$4.41 yesterday afternoon in NE PA. Highest or second highest gas tax in the nation. Screwed at every level
$5.69 for premium in San Franfeces Bay Area on Sunday. I’m worried about propane cost this month as it was $900 for last fill in January.
It’s because the GOP legislature and GOP governor Corbett PASSED AND SIGNED that gas tax that we have Fuhrer Wolf! Corbett wasn’t that likeable to begin with; when he signed the gas tax less than a year from election he sealed his fate.
Get rid of him!
I paid $4.99 per gallon in East TN last night.
Gas will be $10 soon. Inflation is just starting. Expect a dirty nuke false flag by US blamed on Russia.
All this leads to no more elections.
At the Friday Lent Fish Fry, retired people are terrified of what’s happening – pension and SS largely fixed, stock market tanking big time and prices going dramatically up. Those who voted for Biden were very quite compared to a year ago.
You actually have people who admitted they voted for “Biden”?
Can’t remember last time I saw a xiden bumper sticker!
More likely to see a burnie sticker…
I wonder if those folks are unaware that Xiden is implementing 🔥 e’s policies.
I still remember the houses in my neighborhood that had Biden signs. How strange they’ve all been taken down…
They’ve even taken down the garden club BLM signs in the gated community.
Come to CT…for a small state, I think CT is carrying a lions share of the Biden bumper stickers. But, to be fair, most of these cars still have Hillary 2016 and HOPE 08 stickers on their cars.
We happened to be traveling through AL and MS over the past 5 days. $3.26 the day we left. $3.99 when we got home yesterday.
It went up twenty-five cents here yesterday. I drove through town, and when I came back through it had changed.
Lowest I’ve found around Columbus, GA. Opelika, AL area is 3.69 but that will go up in a day or two
PA, my husband just saw $4.45 at Wawa
Was to bring motor home back for repairs and upgrade but that’s not going to happen at 300 gal a trip.
Yeah. This will be the year to buy a RV, firesales everywhere
Maybe. I can only speak for myself, there is no price of gas that would make me stay in a hotel right now. I’ll keep my RV.
Also, aren’t most solar panels made in China? What happened to obidens made in America? Natural gas and oil are from America if you let it be.
Xiden never actually meant that Made in America thing.
I also heard many of them are cheaper now, only lasting 8-12 years. We have no way to properly dispose of them.
Could all of this economic pain and dysfunction make more people push to reexamine the fraud from 2020? Maybe a groundswell will happen if people wake up. Or at least recognize which party wants MORE of this I can dream, can’t I?
The media won’t allow it. Look around. Look at those still wearing masks. You can’t even talk about Ukraine and Russia from a common-sense perspective based on history and real politics. If you do, people call you a Putin Guy…because they are ignorant and stupid.
My son’s basic challenge is let’s sit down in front of a computer with an open net connection and verify all the BS from the ignorati. Most won’t even consider the idea and those that will experience exploding head syndrome.
Our media is on fire with it. And growing every day, while AmeriPravda is shrinking.
Fair point Steph but getting people to trust these other sources after being beaten down and indoctrinated with FB, Twitter, YT, Tik Tok and such is difficult- at least here in New England. Doesn’t mean I don’t try but it’s definitely a trek up a mountain.
The price of gas will necessarily go up. Ha. Ha. Ha.
Chris Murphy can suck it, he made multiple trips to Ukraine himself. He’s a POS and I don’t know how people around me keep voting for the tool.
Regular was over $4/gal when I filled up at the local Wawa this morning.
Oh, and don’t expect Creepy Joe to do anything to lower prices. Why? It’s a way to “nudge” us to EVs! As the gas price keeps climbing, EVs look more attractive to people.
Only to stupid people who don’t know where electricity comes from.
On one of our local news channels, one of the anchors actually said this -more people will buy EVs due to the cost of gas-I yelled at the TV! Idiots!!!
Seriously. I don’t understand how people are so stupid to believe that an ELECTRIC CAR doesn’t REQUIRE ENERGY. Where do they think electricity comes from? There’s only a couple of valid choices: coal and oil, while hydro-electric power is available in areas that are plentiful in water. Either we go all nuclear or we go back to oil. Wind and solar farms are a joke. I don’t understand why people can’t do the math or think things completely through. It boggles the mind (products of Public Education, most likely).
I too am amazed at how gullible and ignorant people are. There are a hundred reasons why electric cars are failures, but maybe for the simpletons we just ask them if their electric bill has gone up. We are getting killed on utilities too.
Yes, and where is that natural gas going to come from to power the natural gas power plants- full nat gas and the co-generation facilities? We have so many stupid people in this country.
Right …until you see the sticker price on the car. Then you run away screaming in horror. What middle class family is going to buy 2 $45,000 or better cars? That’s another house payment, not to mention insurance on them
And if you are in a personal property tax state that could be another 2 to 4 grand a year in taxes
And, the only people who can afford those EVS- the elites and those in the tip 5% of wage earners.
Have you looked at the prices of EVs? They are at least a third to a half more expensive than a gas car of the same type.
I looked at Volvos. A decent Volvo was $44k, the EV version was $68k. I don’t think many middle class families with 2 cars can afford that. Even the $44k car is out of reach for all but the upper middle class with kids and no tuition bills
In the NY suburbs where I live, HEATING OIL jumped over a dollar in a week to $4.70 a gallon.
Thank god the winter is ending because my heating bills would have been completely unaffordable.
The situation we are in regarding energy and fuel is NOT SUSTAINABLE.
WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE IN A WAR RIGHT NOW- WITH OUR OWN GOVERNMENT!!!
Something’s gotta give. We cannot go on with this charade.
THE DEMONRATS ARE RIGHT NOW SHUTTING DOWN THE COUNTRY. We cannot live without electricity and fuel.
AND THE F*****G REPUBICANS ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.
Our true leader, President Trump, is in exile. There is NO opposition to the Bidenistas among our elected officials.
Not one senator or representative is saying what needs to be said: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
They are all captive/owned by someone who wants us dead. I can’t begin to comprehend the psychopathy.
There is no way to understand these sociopaths because they are INSANE.
Have to admit, the GOP/RNC silence is deafening! They are scared to come out against it, it will validate Trump, and they hate Trump!
Not scared. Corrupt and complicit.
Looks like the rhinos and Warhawks want this war in Ukraine also.
Don’t look for any help Seneca, we’re on our own at the moment.
I’m assuming they are going to subsidize fuel for certain income levels and keep raising prices until the middle class is forced to downsize and move to boxes in planned metro areas – that’s been their plan for decades.
These are tyrants we have allowed to destroy our country.
Oil and petroleum projects have more to do in our modern society than provide much needed gasoline and diesel.
Petroleum by products drive our entire economy.
We’re sitting this country is sitting on top of 200 years worth of oil.
I read somewhere that we 500 years worth of oil, gas and coal.
Unfortunately, this would mean reversing the entire energy policy of the current administration. The existing energy inflation and high prices of oil, natural gas and gasoline are a direct and intentional part of Joe Biden’s policy. That policy is driven by the leftist demand for a “green new deal.”
It is not, and never was about “climate change”. This is all about the destruction of the USA, and using “climate change” as a pretext in executing that plan.
Everything is going to plan.
I wish the states would just take control and tell the installed puppet screw you we are drilling! But of course they are all in on the destruction of the U.S.
I can tell you that
100 octane in Russia right now sell for in US dollars US gallon 1.80
I see gas rationing right around the corner
This link is behind a paywall, but essentially General Motors has realized that the only way to recoup it’s investment in EVs is to force them on the unwilling public.
The recent hires for their lobbying efforts include Missy Owens, niece of Joe Biden.
Pretty soon we’ll all be driving Volgas.

Wise people are purchasing older vehicles. They can do the repairs themselves
Worked for Cuba.
Define older vehicle.
Before electronics so before the 90s models probably
I believe that’s the plan, but you have to eliminate the competition first, which they can’t do on an equal basis.
I agree with the comments posted, and yes if you want to drive an internal combustion engine you will still be able to. However you will only be able to buy used i.c.e. cars and trucks until there aren’t any more left.
Remember “cash for clunkers?” They disabled the engines on the trade in cars.
They call where I live the rust belt for a reason. Cars and trucks driven all season might last ten years before rust begins to set in. Even worse, they use a mix of caustic chemicals and pretreat the roads with beet juice to help the salt stick.
Here’s an older non paywall article about how three major electronics manufacturers colluded with the government to outlaw the incandescent bulb.
Bottom line for those who don’t have the time to read—-GE, Phillips, and Sylvania couldn’t make enough of a profit selling traditional bulbs so someone developed the CFL. It was ugly and took time to warm up and nobody wanted them. So they wrote their own law and that’s called crony capitalism.

It’s painful, but necessary to get a GOP congress (hopefully primary the RINO/eGOP) and pave the way for a reelection of Trump.
Make it so painful that even the Dem/Lefties can’t cheat their way out with elections. Too many Dem faithful will turn on them. Look at Texas border Hispanic Dem voters turned on Dems because of open border.
Gas price in my small north Florida farming community jumped 50 cents overnight. Now $4.40.
Yesterday regular was $3.86 in Ocala FL
Today regular is $4.19 in Ocala
$3:79 for regular in SE Va
These people are absolute idiots.
If they had a means of producing energy for their home and family cost effectively from their own land using their own labor they would stop using it. They would switch to a much less reliable and more expensive energy source for their home and family. All on the theory that some time in the future their might be a more ‘eco-friendly’ method of producing energy at still higher cost that might only require paving over half their property with solar and wind ‘farm’ equipment.
All to supposedly combat a theoretical ‘climate crisis’ that none of them can adequately define or delineate. The planet Earth has been going through ‘climate changes’ since it was formed. Some of them so cold that much of the planet was covered in ice. Some of them so warm that their was very little land mass above the vast oceans. In all of these cycles of ‘climate change’ there were changes to the overall environment and ecosystems of Earth. Which of these was the best and most ideal for the planet? What was (is) the ideal temperature for the Earth? How much has mankind contributed to their theoretical current ‘climate crisis’ as compared to say the most recent episodes of massive volcanic activity?
Thanks A Democrat
To all of those who voted for and support these DemocRATS in control of our Government…..YOU OWN every bit of this attack on your own countrymen. You and you alone. Every one of you that voted for him, and EVERY ONE of you that helped STEALING the 2020 Election, LOOK at what you are doing to YOUR OWN Country….
Sunday 2/27 in Richmond KY Gas was $3.299/gallon.
Then Tuesday right after the SOTU it went to $3.499/Gallon.
Then Wednesday night it went to $3,699/Gallon.
Then Thursday afternoon it went to $3.999/gallon, right before I left for Alabama.
In my drive down I75 and I-59 all gas 2qw $3.999/gallon.
Same for the return trip.
But.
When I got back to Richmond KY Sunday night Gas had returned to $3.699/Gallon.
I have no explaination.
Oil goes up, everything goes up. The actions ( inactions ) of joey and Co. to destroy America and Americans has long been planned. Trumps election slowed then down which is why they went nuts in 2016 . They’re now going at as fast as they can.
Stopped in the local Dollar store Sunday to get a quart of synthetic oil for my wife’s late model Honda (230k miles). Walking around I noticed all the canned cat food gone. Paying for my oil, I asked the guy at the register if there was a shortage of cat food. He quietly said ‘No. As soon as it comes in it gets bought out, particularly the better stuff.’ I said ‘Wow, didn’t know people had so many cats to feed’. He then said quietly, looking down at the counter ‘People are buying for themselves and their kids’ I was stunned.
This is Biden and the Uniparties America – those in and around our imperial Capitol do not have a clue, nor do they care, about America.
Good Lord.
We’ve got two diesel pickups. Diesel here in PA was $5.19 as of yesterday. I’m sure it will be more today.
Great Clay thanks for noticing now KEEP warmongers off the radio. Lindsey and all the rest, tell the truth!
Gasoline prices in central OK have jumped by $.50 a gallon in the last WEEK! I documented diesel prices between central OK and SW AR a couple of days ago, but yesterday filled my small SUV from 1 week ago and discovered gasoline prices are now 50 cents a gallon more than they were last week.
We need to NULLIFY the Federal Government. It is a treasonous, seditious, corrupt, criminal activity that is trying to destroy it’s own citizens.
Saturday, bought a tank full of Premium at Costco $4.05.
A sign at a Chevron had $4.79, in Vancouver Washington USA.
Posted it earlier and will do so again.
Biden and our political establishment lackeys are smoking crack if they believe Iran and Venezuela are going to sell us oil after the damage we have done to their nations.
No chance. We are going to have to open up our own exploration efforts and let the radical environmentalists go pound sand.
They don’t want the oil they do want to fund these regimes however
$6.09/gal for premium gas at Chevron in Newport Beach, CA. Slight change to a famous James Carville quote, “It’s the gas prices stupid!” The Dems are toast!
With fair elections you’d be right
What they think they’re doing is driving the suburbanites onto public transportation, (which doesn’t exist), or into electric vehicles, (which only the wealthy can afford). What they’re going to accomplish is to drive the working poor out of their elderly used vehicles and onto welfare.
North of Tampa hit 4.02.9 yesterday. Diesel at 4.94
Never mind the prices of motor fuel – remember that oil and natgas are the feedstocks for the entire plastics industry. Think food packaging, for instance.
But – Juan Williams and the Democrat Communists are telling us that the Ukraine War is good for Brain Dead Biden and the Dems could use the deaths of innocent civilians to their advantages in the Mid-Terms. Some lunatic on MSNBC is claiming that Biden’s leadership in this fake war will keep the House and Senate for the Democrats.
LOL ….Just ask the people hiding in Subways and shelters how Bidens Sanctions are working for them Today….
They have done nothing to stop him… Nato Unity is not helping those people either……
Been purchasing chicken, beef, shrimp, fast acting yeast and good old fashioned bread flour like crazy for the past month.
I’ve got a bicycle and will be happy to use it, my concern is grocery stores will not have much stock left if this insanity continues which it looks like it will.
When I purchased my used Truck in dec 2019 to fill it was 42 bucks
Yesterday it cost me 91.25 to fill it….its now 429 a gallon
Same gas station
It was $4.99 for regular on Saturday down by Tacoma WA.
Saw a few places where it was $5.09
Ultimately the only way to turn this around is for those who are hunting us become the hunted.
“Oil is rising on the prospect for a full embargo of Russian oil and products,” said John Kilduff of Again Capital.”
Let’s be honest.
Oil is rising on the prospect for a full embargo of Russian oil and products AND the Biden administration’s continued war on American produced energy.
Just shy of $6.00 for ptrmium in Napa, CA.
We are mom and pop landlords..we just happened to buy houses years ago in an area that gentrified. After the pandemic and eviction moratoreum we are sticking with short term rentals..we are barely breaking even and our utility costs went sky high. Guests are traveling with dirty laundry and using our washer& dryers because the cost of water in our area runs 200+ a month..now the city is implementing a landlord registry and inspection program. That will drive up the cost of rent, landlords are being more selective at picking tenants. We are in Pittsburgh, all Dems, for years..
In Ireland for every $100 spent filling up a tank the government gets $57. However, this is not shown on the receipt, deliberately, and one has to go and dig for this information on the Automobile Association website.
$5.69 in coastal CA Saturday.
Saw a pic from LA with $9.00 a gallon.
Jumping by 30 and 40 cent increments all around.
In the NC Triangle area – $4.14/gal reg – $4.99 (so lets say $5)/ gal diesel
Two days ago regular gas was $3.69 and this morning it’s $4.15. Now watch food prices really escalate!
Son of a friend drives for Publix. He fills up at the end of the day, said his fill last night was over $600. Crazy!
Biden State Dept. just issued new guidelines for nuclear attack.
In case of a nuclear explosion: ‘maintain social distancing’ and ‘wear a mask’
And Please, above all else, don’t forget your boosters….
Fauxchi is already hiding in the bomb shelter. That’s why we haven’t seen or heard from him.
And also, don’t forget, to get in the defensive position under a desk. Place your head firmly between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye.
