This is not good for working class Americans, not good at all. With gas prices already jumping, oil futures have now eclipsed a 15-year high and the outlook does not look good.
(MSM) – […] West Texas Intermediate crude futures, the U.S. oil benchmark, traded 8% higher to above $125 a barrel, the highest since July 2008. At one point the price rose to $130.50 Sunday evening before retreating.
The international benchmark, Brent crude, traded 9% higher to $128.60, also the highest price seen since 2008. Brent hit a high of $139.13 at one point overnight.
“Oil is rising on the prospect for a full embargo of Russian oil and products,” said John Kilduff of Again Capital. “Already high gasoline prices are going to keep going up in a jarring fashion. Prices in some states will be pushing $5 pretty quickly.” (read more)
What was the last gas price in your neighborhood?
Yes, a president can and does control the price of gasoline. What can a U.S. President and administration specifically do? We have abundant U.S. energy resources. Quite literally the strongest in the entire world.
- Permit the use of preexisting approved leases in ANWAR (Alaska) to put more volume into the Alaskan oil pipeline that is severely underutilized.
- Finish the Dakota access pipeline.
- Re-approve the preexisting energy leases in New Mexico, Arizona, NE Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.
- Retract the stoppage of the Keystone pipeline to permit efficient oil transport shipments from Canada.
- Stop blocking the expansion of coastal oil refineries in Texas, Louisiana and Alabama (regulatory issue), as well as Northwest, Northeast and Southeast Seaboard.
- Continue to develop natural gas as a clean burning fuel.
- Drive Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as an export.
.
Unfortunately, this would mean reversing the entire energy policy of the current administration. The existing energy inflation and high prices of oil, natural gas and gasoline are a direct and intentional part of Joe Biden’s policy. That policy is driven by the leftist demand for a “green new deal.”
None of the actions above require any approval from OPEC. Strategically, the ‘all of the above’ approach enhances U.S. national security and diminishes the influence of Russia, China and Iran. Within six months of the above, gasoline will plummet.
“If we ban Russian oil, we need to do it in a way that doesn't dramatically increase prices for American consumers. If the price of a barrel of oil goes to $150…you and I can afford that, but there are a lot of low income consumers who would be hurt.” pic.twitter.com/pQox571V65

North Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Local neighborhood Shell station just posted 4.79 for regular – up form 4.09 at my last fill-up.
Paid $5.49 per gallon for diesel in California. I think Fed and State taxes are $1.50 per gal.
I seem to remember, growing up in California, when the price of gas was posted at the pumps as to how much per gallon was siphoned off in various government fees and taxes.
One day the posting disappeared.
Forever.
Funny thing that.
Winston Smith memory-holed that fake news!
In a couple of months you’ll have fond memories of such “low” prices.
And being able to fuel up.
At all.
Welcome to the left coast club

As soon as the Scamdemic went full throttle I figured the rest of the Revelation checklist was sure to follow.
Atlanta
$3.69 —- to $4.89 within a 3 mile radius
It’s not just oil. Watch fertilizer prices! After that – it’s a new sky rocket for food for years to come.
Fertilizer among the myriad products derived from petroleum.
Everything is going to skyrocket.
Fertilizer prices had already escalated before the majority of Americans had ever heard of Kyiv, never mind find it on a map. Adding Russia to the mix has only added fuel to that preexisting fire.
And speaking of prices, if you think food is going to be expensive, wait ’till you see how much it’s going to cost to add all that ethanol to our fuel……..
Suburban Milwaukee. I was lucky at my last fill-up. In a sea of gas stations at $3.39 regular. I hit the jackpot at $3.22.
Retired Magistrate here: Here in Delaware County Ohio the price of gas is running between $3.75 per gallon and $3.79 per gallon. Home heating oil, which is what we heat with, is $3.70 per gallon. During the Trump years we paid between $1.90 and $2.42 per gallon and our tanks holds 550 gallons. The last time we got the fuel oil topped of it was $1,200.00.
Thankfully, we anticipated this coming with Biden and have money saved up so we won’t freeze and can still drive our cars.
Welcome to Biden’s new normal narrative of “You’re going to pay more for everything, and you need to lower you’re expectations and you’ll like it”.
phase one – create pandemic and steal the election and reverse all Trump policies
phase two – give as many people as possible a poison clot shot which will kill them off over the next 5 years
phase three – start a war overseas which will eventually escalate
phase four – do nothing as people lose their jobs and can’t afford to eat or heat their homes due to rising fuel prices
phase five – swoop in as people lose their property and assets and buy them up for pennies on the dollar
phase six – war escalates and kills off people who haven’t starved to death or died from the clot shot allowing China to move in.
Our politician geniuses thought they could ride and tame the Chinese dragon
Nice to know we pay Chris Murphy enough for his “service” that he can afford $150/barrel gas.
I read that and thought the same thing
$5.59. Los Angeles.
And for the record, “masks mandatory” signs have been coming off the store windows this weekend. Most people are still wearing masks, though.
Grocery stores fully stocked, except for pasta. Flour a little light, but still plenty to be had. And it hailed on me yesterday. Rare for this part of the planet. 🤗
Where’s Fauxchi?
Maybe preparing for his lengthy stay in Hell?
He is in voluntary hiding until the Demcommies need him again or he needs to retire from the NIH, whichever comes first.
I heard it was snowing yesterday along the Grapevine
Snow on the Grapevine is not that rare… what IS rare is that it lasts long enough to accumulate.
Stock up on it now while you can.
❤
Wheat berries, locking fuel cap, and potting soil are next on the list.
Vancouver, BC
$2.09 per litre.
$125 to fill my Cherokee, usually $80.
Same story here; cancelled pipelines, green deal
paid $3.80 for lowest octane Saturday afternoon in Shelby County, Ohio. It seems to be going up daily…bet we see $4.25 or more this week.
Sen. Chris Murphy D-CT has some culpability for the problems we now face, he and McCain helped overthrow Ukraine’s government.
So my stored foods value is growing at 9% per year since 2011.
As measured in increasing worthless non Constitutional dollars.
In Constitutional dollars it is very close to the same value, so is gasoline BTW, in real money.
Yet, food inflation is officially at 2% a year?
Are you sitting down?
Our illegitimate government is lying to We the People. And has for a very long time.
Just paid $3.89 for mid grade in North Idaho
100% increase in price in a scant 14.5 months in Nashua, NH
12.24.20 = $1.96 per gallon
3.6.22 = $3.92 per gallon
I think I might plan a road trip. Sure, gas will be high, but with people staying home the drop in hotel prices may offset it. I am in the middle of planning my annual California trip. It will be interesting to see where air/hotel/and rental car is come June.
3.96 a gallon here in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis.
the way things are going…even a Dem should come to the conclusion that our present leadership is the problem. I’m not holding my breath tho…
I haven’t seen many people in person even now due to pandemic fear in blueMA where it really took hold.
But of three Dim friends I have seen, two have announced they are no longer Dims and one is teetering.
Will see a couple more moonbat friends this week. And maybe even my family of moonbats for the first time in two years, because there is a funeral in our extended family likely soon.
The Occupation Government says oil companies have leases.
But Oil knows the Junta would simply shut them down, after wasting billions in R & D.
Leases expire, usually every 5 years. JoeBama knows nothing about the oil industry. There is no R&D because the drilling programs are either banned or put on hold while revisions are planned.
The economics of drilling programs are still pretty dicey and future exploration depends on successful drilling programs. If pipelines, are shut down, the logistic expenses must be re-calibrated and the leases can also expire, adding more cost to the hoped for production. The system works beautifully, even for the land owners, when costs can be adequately predicted. JoeBama works actively to make sure they can’t be.
Middleburg Florida which is SW of Jacksonville about 40 miles unleaded is $4.10 and diesel is $5.15
This is all on purpose and just last week a fill up in a F350 super duty diesel was $120 and now it’s pushing $200
From energy independent to being raped in a little over a year should be enough for the blindest Democrat to never vote for another Demoncrat ever.
You give Democrats credit for intelligence they do not have.
SOLUTION:
Truckers stop working nationwide until the Obama-Biden Regime IMPLEMENTS all of the above.
IMPACT:
“Reduces Fuel Demand” to “Reduce Supply Shortages” to “Reduce Citizen Fuel Prices”
OUTCOMES:
Truckers become National HEROES.
Public chants WE ARE ALL TRUCKERS.
Corporatocracy Revenues & Stocks PLUMMET.
Elected State & Congressional Officials’ Wealth VAPORIZES.
=> States Decertify 2020 Elections & Disqualify Electors
=> Policy Reversal becomes Law
=> Regime Change prevents Recurrence
That is of course if we aren’t nuked by Russia before your predictions come to fruition.
Unlikely when they can use their biggest strength – cyber attack.
In the past would fill up at half a tank.
Now I’m filling up at quarter tank down.
Also trying to get gas in the morning on my way to work instead of on my way home.
Noticed that the price changes around noon.
Try not to be the first one to pump the gas. Condensation, when the temperature drops in the evening, depending on the age of the station’s tanks. May give you a load of watered gasoline.
NH and Massachusetts
$3.90s to $4.40s
Wow. Northwest of Boston here I filled up at $3.69 middle of last week. Won’t be out again to check prices until tomorrow.
Better make myself a sticker for the pump…
North Dallas suburbs, the closest station to me was $3.59 Saturday, $3.69 Sunday morning, and had bumped up to $3.71 sometime Sunday afternoon. Everything else in a 20 mile radius is still in the $3.59-.79 range. I don’t even let my car get to empty anymore, I top off the tank when I go from full down to 3/4.
my Side of DFW was 3.59 Saturday and 3.99 Sunday ..Filled up at Costco Thursday at 3.24
Costco’s lines have been so long … I went to the ARCO station instead. REALLY long lines at COSTCO gas.
… and unlike my local independent station … ARCO does NOT give you the 10c lower CASH price when using your Bank Teller Card … which is CASH … but charges the credit card price for Bank Teller Cards. Not so with my local independent … they give the CASH price when using a PIN and a Teller Card. ARCO has lost 90% of my business because of it.
Northern socialist Minnesota.
On Thursday gas was $3.39 per gallon.
On Friday gas was $3.69 per gallon.
Yesterday, Saturday, gas was $4.09 per gallon.
Gas has gone up 70 cents in 4 days.
Tomorrow I’m filling up the minivan, since I might be holding onto a goldmine come next Sunday.
North Texas.. Friday 3.59 Saturday 3.99… we waited in line and filled up Thursday for 3.24 at Costco..
I filled up maybe Wednesday or Thursday knowing the jump was coming , saw two stations had jacked it up already but the time I got home from work . 3.91, and 3.99, I went to a station at 3.79, that’s what it was the day before at the other two . Old vs digital . Love how they change the price mid day even though they haven’t felt the price change . Yesterday my daughter said she saw a 4.45 price . I’m in PA outside of philly .
When will the rage start ?
No rage, no action, no change.
Rinse & Repeat from Smilin Jen.
I’m looking forward to the next round of polls.
Suburban Houston 3.49 reg unleaded, up 60 cents in 1day. 4.29 Diesel ..my fillups are are double what it was last month.
With fuel prices skyrocketing now the 70-mile long PEOPLES’ CONVOY will start making news tomorrow as they surround the nation’s capital.
Organizer Brian Brase explained that, “The convoy’s plan was to drive slowly around the 63-mile highway, that encircles the Capital, two times before heading back to the current staging area at the Hagerstown Speedway.” Apparently they intend to continue this daily until their demands are met.”
I saw a clip of XidenPravda media on War Room Friday morning, finally talking about the convoy, and spinning mad smears about them, trying to laugh at them.
First they laugh…
They should do it twice a day at morning and evening rush hours
Along with these astronomical gas prices, come the thieves in the night to siphon gas out of cars. We just moved from a house with a 3 car garage to just a driveway which makes us sitting ducks. I can only imagine the numbers of people who will be keeping watch with loaded weapons.
Lockable fuel caps are going to make a comeback.
whats a fuel cap?
My Honda has one that has to be released from inside.
But I think it’s plastic – I suspect easily smashed.
My retirement home is in the burbs. Unlike many privileged moonbat friends who grew up comfortably in the burbs and who moved to the city for “nightlife,” I always dreamed of having a big yard and a garage. I grew up a blue-collar kid in cities and had had enough!
Invest in cameras. Two un stolen fill ups will off set the cost of the cams.
I am visiting South Louisiana right now.
Paid $3.36 yesterday afternoon.
Drove by same place today and it was $3.45
Pushing $4 in Colorado even after my $0.40/gal fuel points. I’m lucky to literally live a mile from work. I can’t imagine what this is doing to people with long commutes.
Hubby said when the snow melts we’re going to start riding our old bicycles again.
I’m glad, for many reasons, especially since we only live 4 miles from town.
Even if you live close to work like we are, you can’t forget that the high gas prices are going to wreck havoc on grocery store prices. Heck they were already high due to Biden’s 40 year record inflation. Now add 60% on top of that for the cost of delivery. Pitiful
Major areas of the country are already past a 100% gasoline price increase since installation day. It is easy to recall for those of us who paid less than $2 per gallon in the “halcyon” days of 2019 and tumultuous 2020.
For those old enough to remember the 8 fold increase in those prices: $0.26 to $2.08 per gallon from 1973 through 1979 (odd/even days), history better not repeat itself, but sadly to experience from $2.00 to $16.00 a gallon is a realistic goal for the present tyranny that they aspire will take far less than six years.
First time I filled up our rusty, trusty VW Bug I paid something like $3.50. That was to fill the tank, small though it was.
In my area it is +121 percent gas price increase.
It’s not just oil futures. Head over to Market Watch and take a look at wheat futures. This is scary stuff.
On Thursday we bought 300 pounds of wheat, oats and wild rice, and a hand crank grain mill.
We’re spending our senior years “vacation” money on food.
In Ontario Canada we use the stupid metric system. Friday gas was $1.63 / litre, 2 days later (today) it is now $1.87/litre. That’s $7.07/US Gallon and it’s only going higher. Rediculous. Thanks to the Brandon Admin and Tyrant Trudeau. This will achieve their goal of wrecking the Greatest Country to ever exist on the face of the Earth, and it’s foolish, smug, Northern Neighbour. Getting very angry by the minute.
I think a lot of people feel like you do sir.
Diesel is $6.25 a gallon in Marin County California.
Monterey county, California…anywhere between $5.20 and $5.99.
Tucson resident here. I paid $3.89 yesterday (March 5) at Sam’s Club, lowest place in town. All others were $3.99. Guessing no one wanted to be the first to break the $4/gal. barrier and incur the wrath of consumers.
Paid $3.44 for diesel at Costco in Lubbock yesterday. Today paid $3.53
WA – Was 2.98 pre election, went to 3.89 and stabilized there for a while, now 4.35. Those darn ruskies! /s
just think, at least two more years of this before any possible relief coming too.
God help us all.
Most gas stations in the Los Angeles county area are over $5.00 a gallon. Saw one over $5.50 today. Regular Unleaded.
Drill baby drill, finish the pipeline. Call all of your elected politicians and demand action, remind them elections are right around the corner.
The pols don’t care. They have mechanisms to offset their own increased costs.
Got 8.2 gals cost $44.62
$5.44per gallon SD north county at a usually the lowest price for gas
$4.29 last Tuesday when I filled up last at Costco. I’m almost afraid to see it on Tuesday when I fill up again (King County, WA).
According to their website, as of Sunday night, gas there is holding at 4.29, Costco Shoreline.
This is so disguising.
Our Great President, who was elected with 81 billion votes, had everything going almost to perfection and then those damn Russians came along and ruined it all.
I think you mean 81 trillion votes. 😆
2 March the Mobile by me had $4.05. The highest I ever saw it in the 8 years I have been living here is $3.89 at the same place. I haven’t been by there since, though. I drive such that I have to fill up maybe once a month, at most.
The price of diesel is going to drive up retail prices, so those prices are going to go up even faster.
I don’t see the Biden administration lasting the rest of his term. If things are getting this bad, this fast, there is no way he is allowed to stay in office for his whole term. Congress is going to have to impeach both him and Heels Up Harris him for the good of the nation.
Really puts the importance of the election this year into stark focus, don’t it?
Who did you say was gonna impeach him ?
I remember in 1986 a gallon of gas was .82c When Trump was in office(Jan 2021) I pumped a gallon of gas in Oklahoma for $1.88 a gallon. Yeasterday, in Southern California I pumped gas at Costco for $5.09 a gallon yesterday. And by the looks of peoples faces there seems to be a growing uncertainty looming. The middle class will be hit the hardest.
$3.93 last week.
$4.19 today.
$5.25/gallon for the 87 octane in Southern California
