In this prompted segment on COVID and the economy, Joe Biden references a perspective, a belief in current events, that has been seeded into his brain by Surgeon General Vivek Murthy.
I know it’s hard to listen to him, but in this segment pay close attention. Joe Biden believes, really believes, that a COVID induced mental psychosis is responsible for people convincing themselves that prices have gone up, that inflation is extreme, and that economic pain is real.
He has been told that inflation does not exist, so he believes inflation is imaginary. He is reconciling the difference between what he is told to believe and the reality that everyone lives, by accepting an explanation from his advisors – that working class people are suffering from psychosis. Transfer that reference into the policy from his office, and things become clear. Those driving the economic policy know they are creating chaos; however, they are telling Joe Biden the economic chaos does not exist. Without a reference for the damage his office is responsible for creating, more intentionally chaotic economic policy comes forth.

In my distant past, economies were routinely controlled by gov’t induced minor booms and busts.
Runaway inflation in a hot economy was slowed down by raising interest rates on loans including mortgages etc. But that throttle will be difficult to implement now after a decade or so of very low interest rates. With cheap money available, families took on huge low interest mortgages and even the stock market is loaded with over leveraged stocks. With very cheap money available, buying stocks and making money during a long upsurge was too enticing for many not to take advantage of it.
Either way it will be bad news. I don’t know what percentage of inflation it will take to force the Feds to significantly raise interest rates but either way it’s not good news and puppet Biden isn’t going to open pipelines and fracking to make energy cheaper.
The Climate Dooms Day mongers and their foolish supporters will eventually wreck the economies of the West. The USA has to pay back $30 trillion just to get back to zero in the bank but numerous politicians and pundits are presently ringing up $Billions more to add to the U.S. debt to arm Europe.

Then, I bought another load of the same studs from Home Depot late last summer and was pleased to see the price had actually fallen to $4.00+/stud. Phew! Well … today I needed 4 studs. I paid >$11.00/stud !!! WTF!!??? Nice job Joe … your imaginary inflation cost me nearly $50.00 for FOUR wood studs.

I wish Joe could see what his policies have done to my 401k if he really believes that inflation is a psychosis of the mind. In my case, it must be psychosis of my 401k, which in 6 weeks dropped $9000 and it was barely $175,000 as 2022 rolled in. He needs to come to reality, which sadly I know all too well, he cannot. If he were to agree to a psychiatric evaluation (a real one), I wonder what decade that psychiatrist would tell us that old Joe is stuck in? The patient is tormented by looking at someone and knowing there is familiarity but not being able to connect the dots, even for close family members. It takes years off the life of the caregivers. It is frustrating for the patient and there isn’t anything anyone can do about it. I have witnessed Alzheimer’s in several family members. I see so many of the same characteristics in Biden, including delusional thinking. I pray for peace for him. The pressures of this job will only shorten his time. His handlers know that yet they still use him for their purposes. THAT is the saddest part of all. Obviously they don’t care about him. Zip. Zilch. Zero.

you see, if tomorrow russia and china truly desired to destroy the confidence of the american people (and the world) toward the corrupt establishment in the USG, it would not take much effort.

we did not become a consumer gdp economy simply because of cheap labor and high skills in the china.
we became a consumer economy because the corrupt establishment and corrupt corporations can make more money virtually with zero effort and risk simply by fueling the interests of china ..and now russia.

japan and korea passed that rubicon many years ago. Almost all foreign interests and investments in their core production and manufacturing including food, oil, and services are now heavily controlled by CCP.

Sundance (as have many others) has detailed ad infinitum the intricate relationships and feedback loops built into the complex, system-of-systems, “just-in-time” inventory concept. You are pointing to a complicating factor. It’s the architecture of the entire system that the Covid cabal exploited.
There was a miscalculation on semiconductor demand complicated by the fact that only one company can produce the EUV systems needed to produce leading edge chips required by emerging technical advances. Even the wing nut progressives/deep state are committed to semiconductor manufacturing as a national security priority.
The key point: driving economic chaos toward what end? The Davos/climate change boy toys are receiving a rude awakening – China/Russia have other ideas in mind for what the future geopolitical landscape should look like. Other elements understand but disregarded the evidence on Alinsky tactics – they work but only at select local levels. It has to expand into a larger cross-section of the population to ultimately succeed. That hasn’t happened and in many ways, ironically, is being subverted by post-modernist ideas on tribalism (is this the starting and end point for the Alinsky/Obama worldview on local community activism as a political force?)
It is unfortunate that we have a dementia ridden leader at the helm at this moment in history- whether he is being manipulated or not. The decisions are all uniformly poor. This is what happens when mediocre, inexperienced people are maneuvered into power.
