The Russians are having a little fun at Joe Biden’s expense, now that the deadline for invasion has expired without invasion.
Yesterday, the Russians reminded the Ukraine government to set their alarm clocks so they did not miss the invasion. Today the Russian government asks the Biden administration for the invasion dates, they plan to use this year, so that Moscow can coordinate the vacation plans of key military and government officials.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova asked for the invasion schedule on Telegram: “I’d like to request US and British disinformation: Bloomberg, The New York Times and The Sun media outlets to publish the schedule for our upcoming invasions for the year. I’d like to plan my vacation,” the Russian diplomat said on her Telegram channel Wednesday.
However, on a serious note, the U.S. drumbeat over the invasion of Ukraine has seriously hurt their economy. The Russian State News Agency, TASS reports:
[…] “This steady disinformation blitz by the Western media has already resulted in a sharp deterioration of Kiev’s economic situation, with investments and businesses fleeing Ukraine, while the energy prices in Europe are growing. Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov castigated these statements as an “empty and groundless” escalation of tensions, emphasizing that Russia posed no threat to anyone.”
It’s almost as if the U.S. government wants to hurt the Ukraine economy so that the U.S. has stronger influence and can manipulate the internal politics of Ukraine… with 10% for the ‘big guy‘ of course.

If that makes the US the instigator of said wars for freedom, then so be it. Most recently, however, it seems that many wars are being fought over resources. Not surprising and not likely to go away. As the world population increases, so does the competition for finite resources. That will never change. At least not unless the population is drastically reduced, which is Bill Gates’ goal.

Here again context is everything.
What people don’t realize is that the US “empire” is unique in the annals of human history. The US empire is an “economic” based empire. (Rome comes close with their roads and administration structures that they implanted in colonies) A country comes into its sphere of influence, and the material situation of the populace gets better. What we refer to as the American Dream is what the rest of the world longs for. This is what motivates a given foreign government to become a US ally. So how do you keep this type of an empire moving forward? You grow the economies to make life more comfortable for the national populace. (Look at the cash balances of US multinationals sitting in overseas bank accounts.) The economic growth – increased tax receipts then supports the central government.
The Russian empire, however is what can be termed as a conventional empire. It requires the acquisition and control of geographical territory. If you look closely at the Russian economic situation, what you will see is a third world country with massive natural assets, who funds itself through digging stuff out of the ground and selling it. The only “economic development” is in the military sector. Every other technology is imported. So how do you keep this type of an empire moving forward? You expand the base, i.e. acquire new spheres of influence to help fund a inefficient and corrupt central power. Hence the need for allocating resources to the military techonological sector.
Therefore, US extending NATO into the Ukraine is not the same as Russia placing a mechanized division on the Rio Grande.
And God helps us if it becomes the same thing!

There is actually some truth in that. Once the Ukrainian economy collapses the only way to prevent a catastrophe will be for the IMF to step in. And the IMF is almost entirely funded by the United States… thus the United States (through Wall Street) will gain control of the Ukraine. For a billion dollars, Biden demanded that Ukraine fire the prosecutor that was investigating Hunter Biden and Burisma… so imagine what kind of control will be had with a $20 billion dollar IMF loan?
Once the IMF comes into a country a world of possibilities opens up. Lots of 10% for the Big Guys as well as lots of money that will be kicked back to buy American weapons and munitions, etc. And IMF loans are not easily extinguishable, as you would understand if you ever took out a federally guaranteed Student Loan. So, what this means is that Ukraine will be under the effective control of the United States, no matter who comes to power. Furthermore, because IMF loans need to be paid in US dollars, the only way the Ukrainian government can get is hands on US dollars is by trading with Western economies, thus making it very disadvantageous to trade with the Russian Federation.
The IMF solution is actually the cheapest US hegemonic strategy: they just print up $20 billion US paper dollars and buy Ukraine at fire sale prices.
The BRI gets portrayed as a debt trap by the US corporate media… however, once again the situation is the reverse. When an entity defaults on a BRI payment the infrastructure project get turned over to Chinese owners… and that is it. The port, airport or hydroelectric project still operates for the benefit of the nation. If you want to see how the IMF operates go look at the present situation in Argentina. The IMF loaned Argentina $50 billion dollars in 2018, but what was done with that money? You can’t find a single concrete project, airports, roads, ports, power stations etc? No! …. instead the money was used to “prop-up” the Argentine peso and as a result pesos were exchanged for dollars and those dollars moved off-shore. So, with nothing to show for it, the Argentine working classes are on the hook to pay back $50 billion to the IMF… and that is a true debt trap.
Countries don’t elect to go with the BRI out of stupidity, as they well know what the IMF alternative entails.

At publishing time, President Biden was happy to announce that he had single-handedly resolved the Ukrainian crisis as Canada annexed Poland.
