Tow trucks from Michigan have been sent to assist Ontario police and Canadian federal law enforcement to remove the Freedom Protestors and truckers from the Ambassador bridge at the border crossing between Canada and the U.S.A.
Yesterday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President Joe Biden held a phone call to discuss the collaboration of U.S. and Canadian federal law enforcement as well as joint intelligence agencies to remove any blockades at the border crossing points. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer also told media she would assist the Canadian government effort.
As local, regional and federal law enforcement on both sides of the border begin to confront the blockades, it appears they are sharing resources. Previously, Canadian tow trucks refused to cooperate against their own citizens in protest. It appears that Michigan tow trucks are willing to do the dirty work. However, the initial tow companies pictured can only move regular passenger vehicles and pick-up trucks, like those driven by supporters of the truckers.
Police arrived shortly after dawn this morning to clear the protest group who spent the night at the busiest crossing between the United States and Canada and enforce a court order issued yesterday. “The Windsor Police & its policing partners have commenced enforcement at and near the Ambassador Bridge. We urge all demonstrators to act lawfully & peacefully. Commuters are still being asked to avoid the areas affected by the demonstrations at this time,” police tweeted.
Global News journalists reported, “police in black uniforms with yellow vests were seen moving behind the protesters’ cars on the bridge. Tactical teams and snipers were also present.” CTV News Windsor’s Michelle Maluske reported from the scene that some protesters had begun to pack up and leave ahead of police moving in to enforce a court injunction, while others remain defiant in the face of fines and jail time.
CANADA – Police have moved in to break up a days-long protest at the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ont., where vehicles have been blocking traffic on the crucial border crossing into the U.S.
“We urge all demonstrators to act lawfully and peacefully,” Windsor police said in a tweet as officers started to move in with other law enforcement at about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
They also advised people to stay away from the area.
While some protesters left immediately, a handful remained as of 10 a.m. Police formed a line and were steadily pushing back the demonstrators, some of whom were shouting “shame,” “freedom” and “you’re on the wrong side.” (read more)

Many people will do anything for money, look at the Michigan tow companies and drivers, the Canadian police, go on and on. Not all truck drivers are involved many are delivering while their brothers suffer. They divide and conquer.
The vast majority of truckers are vaxed and quite happy to continue on for a paycheque.
The truckers that are standing firm represent just a tiny fraction of the trucker movement.
The large majority in the convoys are people in pick ups and cars. Mini vans.
The highways are packed with rigs moving along as if life was normal. They don’t have an ounce of interest in the matter.

As an American, it sounds good to me — but I would be curious to hear from you and other Canadians what your opinion is from up close, and whether the letter and petition are getting any national support, attention, or traction. It’s easy to get caught up in the moment. Numbers of truckers and supporters swelling, spirits high, and so on. But one can’t lose the backdrop that it has been against, which in my view is millions and millions and millions who are fully on board with this tyranny and/or who have no clue about what’s been unfolding in the West. This is the result of what is now generations (plural) of brainwashing and Marxist ideology infecting every institution, public and private, including schools, the media, corporations, and of course every arm of the government.
It may be tempting for some to say “everybody…” feels this or that, or supports this or that, but of course “everybody” doesn’t. This is never the case in life, and certainly not now.
And while I do think cracks are starting to appear and some are waking up, I fear it’s not enough or fast enough. The globalists have steamrolled across the West for many years. Trump, and then covid, became their moment to pull it all together and lower the boom.
This is, indeed, a heroic battle, as you say. I pray their is a victorious outcome, knowing I may not see it in my lifetime and there may well be much more suffering to come.

Jello, we have people posting phone numbers, etc. Apparently at least one of the tow companies says the info is wrong, and they are not involved.
I don’t know what’s true and what isn’t. I’m not about to try to vet these claims, and I hate when innocent people and businesses are caught up in internet sensation.
Before I quit Facebook I used to see people slam someone for some offense, sometimes businesses, employees, or a neighbor who made them mad, and people would wildly share the inflammatory post, and often those posts were made by a jerk with a grudge who didn’t care to lie.
Those are worst case scenarios. I am not opposed to consumers using our money to wisely influence those in power. I do it too. I suspect where we are being herded, money is going to be one of our few levers.
I am absolutely opposed to phone numbers, emails, and physical addresses being published here, including individual names. It’s one thing to copy a tweet showing actions the Canadian government is taking. It’s another to go deeper without facts.

But now I get it, and yeah, you’re right. Things are in a state of flux right now, too many moving parts to know exactly who’s doing what, and who the bad guys and good guys are. There will be plenty of time later to organize boycotts or whatever (WITHOUT doxing individuals) if/when it’s crystal clear there are companies that deserve it.

Someone earlier in the thread expressed dismay at the snipers being present.
I pondered this and realized that since every law enforcement agency in the US that has more than 5 people applies for a federal grant for SWAT team equipment and therefore at least one sniper, doesn’t this mean that the federal gov’t funds more snipers for use against it’s own citizens than there are in the military?

I feel that Canadians are in a pickle. Arresting and dealing with these protesters is enormously expensive. They never imagined so many would be willing to go to jail, and now they don’t know what to do. It is an awkward game of chicken.

Without trying to research it, I would bet, given the size of Ottowa, in any given 2 week period, the #’s are considerably higher.

Unlikely Windsor police have that equipment. The military would as most large US police forces. That equipment might have come from the US manned by American SWAT, which would explain why it took a while for them to arrive: jurisdictional contracts, moving equipment and personnel, etc. from the US.
It’s already been reported earlier by people on the scene at Ambassador Bridge who witnessed that’s what the Police were using. Nobody mentioned from where they got the equipment, but it was there. Also I don’t recall anyone trying to sort out which police or other jackboots from which branch of service…. The reports just said or wrote “police”. So maybe later (?) we will read about the sources that were used for the Police action to clear the bridge.

Just to confirm. Foreign donations to support peaceful protest against government are verboten. But foreign tow trucks retained by government to remove peaceful protest is okay.
