I know most CTH readers are aware of the issue – the action and consequence side of things. However, the current conditions in/around our nation’s capitol deserve to be emphasized in order to share with those who are not connecting the dots.
The shortage of food products, in/around the metro-DC area, is a direct consequence of that same area demanding Vaccination Passports to enter any venue providing “food away from home.”
The vaccine passport mandate blocks people from restaurants, dining, bars and other sources of food. The process forces people into grocery stores where they are encountering shortages.
In essence, what we are seeing in the DC-Metro area is a microcosm of what previously happened nationally with shortages in food supplies and basic essentials. The retail food delivery system in our nation is not designed or prepared to shift large numbers of people out of the “food away from home” lane and into the “food prepared at home lane.” It really is that simple.
Even small percentages of demand shift in a very detailed and complex supply chain -already operating at maximum capacity- can have massive consequences. One fractured gear tooth in a system of thousands of interconnected gears can bring the entire machine to a halt.
The DC outcome is an excellent example of bureaucracy and political policy being dictated by ‘elites’, out of touch leftists and governing officials, who do not have the skills to follow their policies to their natural conclusion. This is also an example of private sector experts who are kowtowed and fearful of telling those government officials they are wrong.
There are people who have been saying for two years these supply chain issues will come to an uncomfortable reality if the policies are not reversed. These are major socioeconomic outcomes that are downstream from dictates and fiats. Reasonable and prudent voices have been downplayed, denied, cast aside and ignored while these insane leftist governmental policies have been executed.
Effective immediately, or at least as soon as possible, every venue that can provide food on a commercial basis must be removed from all COVID regulations, including vaccine passports.
Restaurants, school lunchrooms, cafeterias, industrial kitchens, hotels, bars, food trucks and every possible venue for the delivery of freshly cooked meals must immediately be reactivated, and all terms and conditions for visiting those venues, like “vaccine passports”, must be cancelled quickly.
If they are not, and worse, if the market restrictions are expanded beyond current status (example truck driver vaccine mandates), there is going to be a worsening retail food crisis as the total food supply chain begins to collapse even further.
If you want to learn more, or you need to share with family – REVIST THIS OUTLINE.
If all governing officials in/around North America do not quickly reverse their position, things will get worse.
Hope is not a strategy. Act, or be acted upon.
I always marveled how any people would choose communism when America was living proof of the superiority of free markets and free people.
Now, somehow, communism is here.
Now I see how they do it.
Was just saying to hubby I no longer wonder how nazi Germany happened. After the last couple of years I understand how it could have happened. That so many people became absolute beasts and so many turned on their own families is a testament to the power of fear. People got absolutely hysterical with fear and the demagogues happily pushed the division.
Look at what just happened in Australia. So many Australians were happy to see their tyrannical rulers punish Novak Djokovic. It did not matter that these are the same tyrants that are abusing them. they wanted everyone to be equally abused.
Yes, all one has to do is change Jew for Covid, and you know how Hitler rose to power.
To a degree, but the biggest push that lead to Hitler gaining power was the economic collapse that Germany faced because of how things were handled at the end of WWI. Hitler wouldn’t have had a chance without the economic issues driving the way forward. In Hitler’s Germany, the Jews were scapegoats for the economic collapse, they became the enemy of the state to focus on.
In this country it is now white supremacy being used as the Jews were, and those so called White Supremacists are “us”. Covid is the means to push the narrative of hate toward conservatives. It is a similar playbook.
To the victors go the spoils . Maybe what’s been taught is propaganda.
It was the treaty of versailles‘s that crippled Germany .
A few facts I recently came across the last 5 years .
Hitler was time magazine man of the year in 1938 .
Say what ! It was because he turned the country around financially in about five years, and made them into world power , quite incredible how did he do that ?
He also told the Jews to take their money and leave . Say what , and many did .
And many counties refused to take in Jews , say what !
There are a lot of strange facts about ww2 most of us don’t , or didn’t know .
I know it’s a touchy subject . And I’m no fascist , but there seems to be more that went on that meets the eye .
We were one of the countries. Otto Frank tried to get his family to the US but FDRs policies were against the Jews; no Jews with family in German-occupied territories. There was also a shp turned back that had Jewish refugees, many of whom later perished in concentration camps, after having been returned to Germany.
Film: “Ship of Fools” (superb actors). I wept for shame. FDR was Jewish. New York Times was owned by Jews and refused to publish the Jewish genocide. Not a “know it all”, merely refreshing memories. May God forgive us, though we have no right to ask.
Mussolini also got a cover story if I remember. After all, under him the trains ran on time.
That being said, it’s commies we are dealing with. Not Nazis.
yes, most jews were scapegoats, but the reason they were fearful was the Bolsheviks, 80% of which were Jews, who murdered 40 million white Russians in their death camps. They intended the same thing for Germany. Also, the Nazi’s were actually funded by British and American banks, with Chase Bank in D.C. sending the Nazi’s 25 million dollars six months prior to the invasion of Poland. I hate Bolsheviks b/c they’re socialists, not b/c they’re jews, and I hate Nazi’s but that doesn’t mean I hate all Germans.
My mother was born in Germany after the war .
My grandparents were taken from Poland after they invaded , to work for the Germans .
Another strange thing I hadn’t heard . Russia and Germany took Poland together .
The primary reason that Hitler came into power were the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. It was harsh and humiliating because: (1) Germany lost its overseas colonies, a tenth of its population, 13% of its territories, 75 % of its iron and 26 % of its coal to France, Poland, Denmark, and Lithuania. (2) Germany was demilitarised to weaken its power.
The old crab pot story.
Agree CCV. I had often wondered why the second wave of Jews went placidly onto the trains when the first wave never came back. But now I walk through my grocery store and drug store and see people lined up to get the “vaccine,” and now I understand.
Baaaaaaaahhh baaaah!
As a woman at Costco told me, everyone needs to do their part. Then Covid would be gone! Baaaa
Rolling their sleeves up for the final solution.
well said.
Actually our govt made a complete @rse out of itself over that one.
It was trying to look strong after being too week to stand up for our constitution and it was mere posturing for a coming election which they’ve already lost in my opinion.
It was a disgrace.
The premise was that Novax mere presence MIGHT cause other Australians to reject the vax or validate their stance on not having taken it already.
The argument was like farting in the wind.
As Novax had never said anything to undermine the govts stance.
It amounted to what some govt minister imagined might happen based on no evidence whatsoever and was completely unconstitutional.
It was insulting to every Australian by assuming that we can’t think for ourselves and bypassed the fact that millions of Ozzie’s have so completely rejected the vax mandates that they’ve walked off the job for good and protested in every city of Australia way before Novax was even mentioned.
Those millions of Ozzie protesters are all voters.
By the end of this I doubt that any politician or bureaucrat will be able to show their face in Australia ever again.
Especially when the children start to die from the vax.
There won’t be anywhere to hide.
“People aren’t actually bothered by you not being vaccinated. If it was a big deal, they would just stay away from you. They are bothered that you are disobedient and that your strength shines light on their weakness.”
…and they hate you for it.
Lunacy at the Highest Levels, Patriots in the Middle, and Sheep in the lower ranks. We outnumber them Hundreds of Millions to One. What We Allow, Will Persist!
Yes indeed! No one would VOTE for such a historically vile, dangerous, misery and poverty making genocidal government.
They know that.
So they bring it in via treacherous leaders, deception, manipulation and fraud.
This is a result of the education system that has been full on leftist for decades, and as with most cult like followers, the boundary is always expanded.
When you have children indoctrinated by these teachers, it being reinforced by college where almost all who are working in these institutions are full blown leftists, you see youth who join the fascist group Antifa and look toward Communism as the easy path to life. Never mind the actual road of that governmental system is a nightmare road, they won’t know that till it’s far too late.
The left are afraid of a free people, as that could lead to them being out of power. That is why they push so hard. They cannot abide being out of power. Their true goals and ideas would thrust them out of power forever, should the reality dawn on the useful idiots who put them in positions of power ever have their eyes truly opened.
When kids are sitting in high school and college with BMW’s, Porsche’s, Saab’s and Camero’s awaiting them on the parking lot, most are very receptive to classroom professors who tell them that Communism is how they got here.
But you can’t sell that to older people from communist countries who have seen what Communism really is.
Sadly it’s not suddenly here- we were silently infiltrated back in the 50s – were communists went into every aspect of society as leaders to change us from within, on top of what happened in the early 1900s. We just weren’t paying attention.
That picture of Biden at his Supply Chain Task Force doesn’t reveal the ugly truth … these are petty bureaucrats with no real-world business experience, expecting things to happen by their dictates and they’ll have no clue as the entire economy collapses around their befuddled heads.
Very well said!
Exactly. I worked for that one food store that advertises organics and charges for organics and then sells you conventional stuff. Most of them were liberals (this was before things got as bad as they are now). And that’s exactly how they think and that’s exactly how they do things. Their lack of competence is only bested by their lack of integrity.
Our son worked for a local lefty cafe that we used to go to occasionally (Hubs refuses since owner told him to remember his mask next time). We also have a local lefty orchard that produces various apple products. Son’s job at Cafe was to fill jars with Costco products and slap orchard’s organic label on the jars!
We don’t know if orchard is in on it? If they get a cut for providing labels? We’re now seeing more orchard products in more left leaning stores. Either way they are robbing customers who think they are buying local and organic!
Amoral hypocrites.
The old saying rings true, “Those that can do, those who can’t go into government”. Like the schools, we have not paid attention to the declining quality of people we elect and who has been hired by the bureaucracy. It is a multiheaded hydra that has growing for 30+ years and now has been unleashed.
The tree of liberty needs to be pruned periodically, well this tree needs to pruned to the base.
The elected are a small part of the problem, It’s all the ones we DON”T elect and never leave, they are the big problem, unchecked authority. You know absolute power corrupts etc…
The solution is for
Federal Government to go back to the Constitution. If it isn’t specifically spelled out they shouldn’t be doing it.
Just about every failure can be attributed to both not doing their job, ie the border, or doing something the Constitution doesn’t authorize.
My initial attraction to Donald Trump was his business acumen, which he displayed over the 4 years against overwhelming odds.
We are seeing the end result of career politicians attempting to manage private industry, when they no absolutely nothing about any of it.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
While it is wise to stock up on food, it is equally important to have plenty of guns and ammo to defend your food.
Amen!
Ah….three different stores today and they are all sold out…waiting on shipments, and they go quickly!
Got me some of both. I think once the food closets and other charitable food places run out of food, things will get a bit worse. I told my wife and kids that when it gets to the point that we have to crack open our supplies, we will have to not eat like kings because our fat bellies would look out of place so we would have to blend in like the grey man, go to food kitchens and stand in lines, etc. once in a while so neighbors don’t get suspicious. There is no point in advertising what you have.
Been stocking up for awhile. Don’t want to be caught unprepared like last time.
I wound up with bugs in my flour!
Try big Mason jars with oxygen absorbers. Sugar too.
Don’t put oxygen absorbers in sugar: turns it hard as a rock.
haha…good info. Thanks!
Yes! I was just going to post that!
old freezers that no longer work work well to keep both bugs and mice out of sugar and flour. Sugar gets hard but it can be broken up to use. Flour is still great after 3-4 years. We do rotate the stock to keep the oldest on the top. I got paranoid from synthroid when o was in office, relaxed a little with Trump but knew that when Trump left so would civility. Living 20 miles from the nearest store and it being winter time also helps us in the stock up mode. Also, innslee decided to fire all government workers who would not get the jab so there went more than half the plow drivers, 18 inches of snow over Christmas weekend proved to all who live in the east of the state how bad that decision of his was.
Flour spoils quickly, Unground wheat kernels last for decades.
When you buy flour, check it carefully for bugs and transfer to a sealed container. Keep in the refrigerator. I fill a large glass canister from the refrigerated flour. If you want to store a lot of flour, you can also freeze it – supposed to stay good for up to a year.
When you buy flour for storage put it in the freezer for 24hrs. It will kill any bacteria. Take it out of the freezer and place in mason jars and vac seal. Plenty of youtube vids. Do the same for oats and all dry goods, rice, beans etc
while there may be bugs in your flour to begin with, here is something that works:
1) freeze your flour when you first get it to kill critters/eggs. (what you don’t see, might not bother you)
2) then you can store it out of the freezer, and/but dust the entire outside of the package with diatomaceous earth, and also dust the pantry shelves with diatomaceous earth. This will kill them.
I didn’t see your comment, I also posted above. But I didn’t know about the diatomaceous earth. Thanks that’s good to know.
How many people have heard of diatomaceous earth do you think?
It’s excellent to keep parasites out of the body of us and animals, bugs out of flowerbeds.
A tbsp/day in a drink keeps you cleaned out. Food grade only.
We used to store flour in the deep freezer and recently realized that FoodSaver has large bags for game and am wondering if sealing 5lb sacks of flour, even sugars, in the game-sized bags would stop the bugs, also save freezer space.
we have over 10 25# bags of flour and sugar in an unused freezer, we rotate the stock and use the oldest first but we have done this for over 7 years. Uses a freezer that broke and protects from mice, bugs and other critters. Only thing is whole wheat might go rancid within a year or 2 but since we use it faster than that we are not really sure.
buy red hard winter wheat kernels in bulk. store in a barrel with a lid in a room in the house. then when you want flour, buy a “wonder Jr Wheat grinder (350$) or a cheapo, and grind it into flour. It will last decades.
I’m on the same page as you.
Whole wheat kernels were discovered in Tutankamun’s tomb that were still edible and remained nutritional. Honey found there was crystalized but once heated returned to normal.
Got to freeze your flour first, kill the eggs. Research is as important as action…make a plan first!
Why do you think they don’t do that at the factory? Pre-freezed flour sounds like a great selling point. Idiots.
I’m freezing what won’t fit into the XL flour mason jar
Flour freezes beautifully and indefinitely in one-gallon ziplock bags.
Great idea!
And if you get a burn to your hand while in the kitchen, stick it into the frozen bag of flour. It provides instant pain control and heals the burn very fast.
I Always put flour in freezer for 72 hours as soon as I get it home , supposed to kill anything in it. After it sits out for day put in airtight container.
Protein!
Put bay leaves in it.
That will deter the bugs
I read that a bay leaf helps keep bugs away from the flour. I’ve got one in my metal containers. Fingers crossed.
freeze the flour for 3-4 days, then eat it.
We use an old freezer that’s disconnected in the garage to store dry goods. Inside, I use good coolers for extra storage. The big ones used on boats. They seal and don’t let bugs in.
I once called and complained about buggy rice and store told me the larvae was in the bags I brought home. Be very careful and check often. Storing separately and sealing tightly help.
I save peppermint stems when I harvest my peppermint for tea. They deter rodents and bugs. I made a sun tea of them and poured in house plants to get rid of ants who hitched a ride in last fall. Put stems in kitchen drawers.
We’ve been having terrible fruit fly problem.
Tried apples in soapy water etc. Nothing really worked.
Accidentally stumbled onto solution; they love sherry! I didn’t finish a glass one night and the next morning dozens were floating in the tiny stemmed glass! At least they died happily.
bay leaves stop flour bugs
Watch for expiration dates! I shop a major chain, and almost half of what they have is either expired a while ago, or set to expire the day I’m shopping! I guess they figure people will buy anything they see!
Years ago I worked for a key supplier to major US appliance manufacturers when they started what was called ‘Lean Manufacturing’ which used “just in time delivery”…all just to save a few bucks on in house inventory.
The oldtimers could’ve seen something like this coming.
They designed stock inventories around “peaks and valleys” in supply and demand.
I don’t think any of them ever designed for a Grand Canyon in the supply chain and simultaneously a Mt. McKinley in the demand side
Also to get around stupid state inventory taxes.
Over sixty years ago a teacher gave me an appreciation of history. It is not a story with a happy ending but one of the repeated failures of people. History is about messed up people and how people keep on messing up. That is why politicians and mainstream media journalists want to have history rewritten to shift the blame from themselves to others.
I believe this is their plan. Continue to increase dependency on the handouts for everything.
To say this is incompetence is much too kind to the Socialists calling the shots. There is no indication that they are concerned about human suffering: Afghanistan, lockdowns, mandates, masking kids and taking away educational opportunities, open borders streaming in Fentanyl, killing businesses, etc. etc. etc. etc.
When FJB brags that he’s done more than anyone thought he would in his first year, he truly means it. He’s moved us so much farther toward Socialism than anyone thought he would.
Stolen elections have CATACLYSMIC consequences.
“I do not care how people vote. I only care who counts the vote.”-Joseph Stalin
Do y’all think they will ever admit they were wrong and stop the madness? Or just go down with the sinking ship?
They will never make any admission of guilt, never accept responsibility. They will deflect, they will create diversions, they will lay blame everywhere except where it belongs…..They are all in now and will ride the ship down.
The elite left have been patient and incremental in their destruction of the culture and the republic, over my longish lifetime.
After 2016 they realized that they could no longer rely on unionism, almost all of the aged, all the minorities and the rural vote which were some of their most reliable targets for propaganda in every election for 80 years.
They realized they had lost the economic argument, the cultural argument and the racial argument and knew it was now or never.
The 2020 vote proved it even more; I wouldn’t be surprised that Trump actually won by 20 points.
It is their last chance. I cannot imagine them just shrugging and walking onward because 100 years of planning and effort would be wasted for them. How can they start over?
No, I expect that there are other terrible shoes to drop. I’m convinced that we can prevail but at this moment, this war looks more to me like 1943 than 1945.
They imagine, that since they’re ‘above all that,’ they will live consequence-free of whatever pain they cause for the Great Unwashed.
They hope to kill enough of us before we turn on them.
I bet most people in the DC area are vaccinated so I’m not convinced the flip flop of restaurant vs home cooking applies.
J think the further one is from the bread basket the more desperate it will be.
I live in the DC metro area. This is an area of high fear. Many people who took their jabs and wear their masks are still too afraid to go out to eat. In their minds, restaurants are dangerous places. Although they might be doing some carry out food. These folks are getting used to being at home, in their safe space. I don’t know that they will ever go back to the way they were before.
Not everyone here makes a high salary. Many people are struggling and are cutting back on restaurant food including carry out food. For example, instead of going out to eat three nights a week, cutting back to once or twice a week. Or from once a week to twice a month, etc.
It doesn’t take much of a % shift to food at home to mess up the delicate balance.
Many people are opposed to the vaccine passports here — the local governments are imposing these against the will of the people. This includes vaccinated and unvaccinated — yes, there are some who welcome the passports, but there are a large number who view this as government overreach/tyranny/not based in reality/discriminatory. The local governments ignore what the people want and do it anyway.
Thank you for your insight, Dani. I sometimes go on what is supposed to be a non-political forum that seems overwhelmingly Left and all they talk about is vaccine mandates and restaurants and how much they approve them. Good to hear they are not the majority, I assumed because it’s NoVa.
It will cut down on tourism.
They don’t want tourism, they want us welded into our homes.
Put Kamala in charge of the DC food shortage, she can manage it like the border.
After all…like she is so fond of reminding everyone…she is the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES !!!
Anyone who continues to “remind” you who “They” are…
Isn’t
Assistant to the regional manager, no doubt.
She is well qualified to be the president of vice according too many.
We put Kamala in charge of the border, and we got more migrants than ever. If we put her in charge of food, we can probably feed the world.
Cracker jack idea!!!
Haha. Well played.
I don’t get it. CDC made all kinds of admissions the last two weeks and the protector of the Left, Bill Maher, went rogue on his show.
I thought Leftists were supremely aware of CULTURE and that politics is downstream of it.
The culture has shifted big time. When an idiot like Boris Johnson sees it, they should too.
They do see it. They think they have to double down and go for broke because this is the moment they have to do it or they won’t be able to.
They have created a monster that no longer listens to them. Actually, they have created a cult of people driven by the fear instilled in them about covid, being less that 6ft from another human being, not wearing masks, and, well, their own shadows.
They now can’t unscrew the cult members from their fears. TPTB can’t put the genie back in the bottle at will. We could have told them that: create mass psychosis, but don’t think you will ever be able to control the psychopathic behavior that results….
And now the Nomenklatura gets a taste of the pain. Schadenfreude … it’s what’s for dinner heheh.
The tv media talks about empty shelves and shortages due to trucking issues now, but they never explain the vax mandates having anything to do with it. They just say it’s covid related.
They imply it’s because there are SO many people deathly ill with Covid
They said the same sh## when tons of flights were cancelled over the holidays. It’s the RNA jab and the mandates.
.
So a very nice seemingly well-informed and unvaxxed older woman sat in my office today ranting about CRT in the schools and vaccine mandates and the supply chain issues… while wearing a K-N95 mask that she never took off.
People are losing touch with reality.
impeach the mayor
Fortunately as cases and hospitalizations continue to plummet, and people’s tolerance and patience keep falling this will be over in 4 to 6 weeks. I don’t think anyone will comply with restrictions when no one is getting really sick. Another thing is Biden needs a win . The SOTU is coming up and I’m sure he will claim victory for ending the virus.
I have no sympathy for the corrupt and evil 10 square miles of DC. it is the scourge of the world, and if satan lived anywhere on earth, that’s where he’d be.
I wonder, though, are there really enough unvaccinated people in DC to empty grocery store shelves? I don’t have the numbers at hand, but I’m sure it’s one of the most vaccinated places in the the nation, if not the the most vaccinated.
I also don’t agree that the “elites” engineering all this are merely “out of touch leftists…who do not have the skills to follow their policies to their natural conclusion.” I think exactly the opposite is much closer to the truth. I think all this is profoundly planned, premeditated, and intentional, long before the outbreak of Covid, and if any incompetence is involved, it is that they are perhaps behind schedule on the planned demolition of America and the West.
The last few articles have been amazing at coming to grips with the planned aspect of all this. Please don’t revert back on that crucial point.
Remember, since Nov 3, 2020 we have been in the throes of a coup d’etat.
I used to live in the DC area. All I can say is, “Let them eat cake!!”
“In the future you will have no food … and you will like it.”
If I lose access to food, people better watch out.
“DC Metro area” typically includes Maryland and Virginia areas around DC. Reduce this to “DC”. Mayor Bowser owns this for DC. There may be some spillover from Bowser’s insanity but not directly. The shortages we saw in NOVA was due primarily to the typical ‘snow storm is coming’ panic. When the storm passed the shortages mostly eased. Yes there are some bare shelves but not what is seen on the news. We’ll see what happens as the vaccine insanity for the truckers hits harder.
Montgomery County Council is set to vote on imposing a vaccine passport this coming Tuesday. There was no justification for it last Tuesday when they heard public comments (every single one was vehemently opposed to vaccine passports), and there is even less justification for it now that the UK and Ireland have backed off, and the data doesn’t support it.
However, the Council is doubling down!!!! Tune in Tuesday morning for more public comments and then to hear them ram this through — should be interesting.
If they do this, watch for neighboring Prince George’s County and Howard and Frederick counties to follow suit . Oh, and don’t forget the Baltimore mayor is pushing for a regional passport.
This is all so ridiculous. Their stated goal for this is to “increase vaccinations.” Seriously. It’s so absurd; they are either willfully ignorant, brainwashed, blackmailed or bought: to ignore the will of the people and persist in this absurd theater of tyranny.
I wouldn’t be surprised with Baltimore, however, I don’t think P.G. and Howard will follow Bowser’s depravity.
Probably a lot of money involved. They’re all getting paid off, the leaders of the world seem to be on the take also. Why else are they so forceful and insistent on these vaccinations for a virus that is mild for most people? Something just doesn’t add up. It has to be the money.
No, the communist push isn’t a recent phenomenon. It’s functionaries have been at it for 100 years.
What is recent is the peasant revolt we started with Trump and with the assistance of Obama and his wicked sycophants.
They plotted in the shadows until Trump drew them out of their holes. Now their dark intent is on full display and it ain’t playing too well.
Never should any area of our great country experience food insecurity but if it will come as a result of insane leftist policies, maybe DC is the place to hammer home the message to these professional politicians.
What do I know … ?
And EVERY BIT OF IT brought on intentionally….
The breadline starts here.
Dont worry communists, biden wont suffer.
This is only anecdotal but worth mentioning to fellow treepers. Today I traveled north of Atlanta on Interstate 75 for about 40 miles north of Atlant. Those who ride on this stretch of road know how heavily trafficked it is; especially with the number of tractor trailers. Usually, I see one truck for every
5-10 cars. Today, there was a noticeable decrease in tractor trailer volume on this busy stretch of interstate. There was approximately one truck for every 25-30 automobiles. it was readily apparent that something is different. All I am is saying is what Sundance has been preaching for the last month.
Get ready. Be prepared. A reckoning is coming due to the supply chain issue & Covid injection mandates.
Good vs. Evil. Light vs. Darkness. Truth vs. Lies. Liberty vs. Tyranny. God vs. Satan. Choose wisely.
“Six meals away from ana rchy.” The elites have chosen the form of their own des truction.
I love the movie and never miss a chance to watch, but suddenly watching Dr. Zhivago tonight is shockingly more relevant.
Yeap. Seeing the family go from having a large house to being allowed to live in just one room of their own house says it all.
Have something “special” and you’ll end up being treated as the enemy.
Or more appropriately I should say, timely.
When you want people to only buy what they need, you don’t tell them to only buy what they need!

Wall Art – Painting – First Corinthians 1-25 by John Lautermilch
First Corinthians 1-25 Painting John Lautermilch
My friend just moved to DC and told me the fine for restaurants that don’t enforce the vax pass is $9,000 and the restaurants are all dying.
One of my family members suggested that we take a family vacay in DC, there are museums and monuments she wants to see, and being our family is scattered it would be a reasonable half way point for everyone. Like many families we haven’t seen one another for a very long time. I am the only one not vaxx’d so I will not be going.
I would like to know how they handled the March for Life folks, and the ones going for tomorrow’s rally? Many, even most of them will not be vaxx’d. Are they bringing their own food? Sleeping in cars? Toilets?
Couldn’t agree more the passport nonsense needs to be cancelled.
I attended the March. I live in NW Ohio and usually fly into Regan out of DTW. Short 1 hour flight. Not this year. I decided to drive as I’m fed up with Delta’s mask rules.
I had booked a room in DC back in November. As soon as the oppressive mandates where announced I canceled and book a room in Fredrick Maryland for the night before the March. I drove in on Friday morning and parked a few blocks south of the Supreme Court ,the end point of the March. DC is a shadow of what it was in 2019. Full of compliant sheep, empty shops, etc.
Refusing to stay in that hell hole DC I booked my Friday room in Fredricksburg as I am driving on further south and will on the road for another week.
To get around the mandates in any Blue city , I book at Residences Inns. I pack up good healthy and delicious food for breakfast and dinner. I cook these meals in the suite just as if I were it home. When in a BLUE mask mandate city I don’t need their services—I’ve already planned around it.
I live about 1-1/2 hours northeast of DC. I went to the supermarket (Sprout’s) this afternoon. Some bare shelves, much more than last week. Definitely less stuff for sale today than last week.
I saw about 8 new employees who I never saw before. I also saw about 30% more customers than usual.
Prices rose probably 20-25% in general compared to the past two weeks. Meat was there but continues to be less every week. Snagged some chicken drumsticks for $2/lb. They had some pork country ribs and sausages and brats for $3/lb. All the other meat was high. Worst part was the quality of fruits and vegetables. First time I saw rotten fruit for sale on the shelf. $7 for a bag of avocados which were so soft they were inedible. Moldy kiwis. Some rotten oranges and grapefruit mixed in the bags. Avocados jumped from $.68 last week to $1.50 each. Tomatoes up 30% from last week. Luckily got one pound of strawberries for $3. The quality of the produce was definitely the worst I have seen in my life.
Thankful there was plenty of food but it is definitely trending in the wrong direction. And this is only the beginning of the trucking problem. Got to be flexible and buy what you can and be able to adapt. Luckily my wife and I are both good cooks.
Sooo, the parasites in DC are going to starve? Great!!!
I know there are food shortages but have yet to see any; I’m thankful for that and am stocking up on things. The only time I saw empty shelves was several weeks ago when there was a storm and trucks couldn’t get through; it has otherwise been normal in Minneapolis, I shop at Costco, ALdi, Wal-Mart and several local and regional grocery chains.
Well here in TX, Houston area, food stores are well stocked. Also, Texans eat out alot . As compared to DC area – probably because DC people spend half or more of their net income on high priced homes, local taxes, and state taxes – taking up so much that they don’t have much discretionary free cash flow.
The blue states talk alot about sustainable growth – but they aren’t even close! They get most of their Nat Gas, gasoline, and electricity from out of state, not to mention food stuff. It’s their excuse for “smart Growth” controls that dive up housing prices, so as to produce multi-family housing in such volume that no one really wants. Unlike Tx where single family detached housing is the norm – with brick/stone on at least three sides! What BS is the blur states. Let them east cake!.
These f***** think there is no repercussions to destroying the middle class. A part of me wants to see their faces. The other part of me knows how painful it will be for all of us.
Sure, this will work great. Another bullseye dictum from a cur called “Bowser”.
I declare, Sundance needs to be in the net two terms of the Trump administration to get things back in order in this country. Perhaps Sundance believes “anyone could do it” or “there are lots of qualified people who could do it.” Maybe true. I don’t know. But in terms of “who seems to know the most about what he’s talking about” I know of none better because if there are people out there who actually understand it? I don’t see or hear from any of them.
Sundance is our own Dr. Malone as it relates to the supply chain and the economy at large.
