I’ll get into a little detail about why this CDC change, if implemented, will only speed up the economic crisis we are about to enter. [However, don’t share that aspect with anyone other than those closest to you.] First, the change being discussed…
Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, the husband of a very sketchy Chinese communist party shadow official that no one ever discusses, told CNN today the CDC is likely to revise the quarantine guidance to include a negative test for COVID before exit.
(Via Daily Mail) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expected to further change its recommendations for Americans diagnosed with COVID-19, potentially requiring a negative test to leave isolation before ten days.
Last week, the agency shortened its recommended isolation period from 10 days to five days for people who have minimal Covid symptoms. The move drew criticism from experts who said a negative test should’ve been included.
Surgeon General Dr Vivek Murthy said that the CDC is working to further revise the isolation guidance, telling CNN on Tuesday that he expects a clarification ‘any day now.’
‘What they’re trying to do – and it’s important to say more broadly – is recognize and incorporate both the evolving science on Omicron and on prior variants in terms of how long somebody remains contagious, with the critical need to maintain essential services,’ Murthy told CNN.
‘I believe that there will be a role for antigen testing here to help reduce risk as well,’ he said. The further-updated guidance could impact millions of Americans, as the country reports record case numbers during the Omicron surge. (read more)
Here’s why this is going to be exponentially more problematic ,and be cautious who you tell about this.
First, imagine the impact to the U.S. industrial and service economy when workers who have ordinary colds and sniffles are now taking five days off work, and cannot come back until they test negative for the cold/flu virus. That’s what the CDC was trying to avoid when the original guidance was modified.
If essential workers with ordinary sniffles, sneezes, coughs, stuffy-heads and general aches and pains do not come to work because these are Omicron symptoms, the U.S. economy is going to be in staggeringly big trouble at a macro and micro level.
Add to that an inflated and ‘blown out of proportion‘ reaction to the seasonal cold with a demand for a negative test, and there are limited to zero tests readily available, and it is not hard to see what happens to business operations throughout the country. Already existing shortages of workers, products and services only gets worse…. exponentially worse.
Production stops. Manufacturing slows… end products get less. Transporation, warehousing and distribution (the logistics aspect) gets hit with the boxcar effect again. Quickly, store shelves get bare, and products become scarce. The supply chain issues that already exist only get worse, much worse.
Some businesses then have to close. Those employees that could work, then can’t. The downstream consequence from a disrupted workforce will make the supply chain issues of 2020 look like a mere hiccup compared to what’s coming.
Food distribution is a complex system of logistics, warehousing, transportation, delivery and preparation. There are two macro sectors: “food at home” (grocery stores etc), and “food away from home” (restaurants etc.) In 2020, the country learned how interconnected the supply chain is when 50% of the possible food distribution (restaurants, cafeterias etc) was turned off.
Within days of turning off restaurants, the other side of the food supply chain was overwhelmed, and that shock to the system lasted for several months. Most people don’t know that the supply chain is still dealing with the downstream consequences. Grain silos were wiped out as manufacturers demanded more raw material to process. Ingredients like citric acid, flavorings, and preservatives have still not recovered (go look for flavored sports drinks).
Pet food manufacturers were lowered in priority for distribution of raw material, and that raw material comes at a much higher price. The pet food sector is still less than 50% recovered from where it was before the restaurants were shut down in early 2020. That’s how long this impact has lasted.
People just do not know how the U.S. food supply system operates on massive storage systems for bulk products to smooth out the seasonal fluctuations for food commodities. It is a very complex system to deliver fresh products (produce, fish, meats) and simultaneously organize, store and distribute, the raw materials for things like flour, bread, cereals, soups, and frozen foods.
Trust me, if everyone decided to eat only fresh foods starting tomorrow, there would be fist fights in the supermarket, because there’s not enough of that fresh stuff to feed all of America. We need, heck we rely upon, processed foods, manufactured foods, shelf stable and refrigerated/frozen stable foods, in order to fulfill the total caloric needs of 350,000,000 people.
This grocery store supply chain has never recovered from the mistake of closing 50% of food distribution in 2020. CTH warned at the time what would happen, and it did. We then watched the predictable five phases of impact show up.
If you remember the shortages of products and services in 2020, you have a baseline for what is about to happen in two weeks. This next round is going to be worse. Last year’s grain harvest is already almost gone. Most of the next round of harvests cannot start for months. The food storage our supply chain depends upon to smooth out seasonality is nearly exhausted, and the inbound prices show the scarcity.
It’s not one thing; it’s a multitude of things. However, add on top of that a major employment disruption with quarantines and tests, and, well, you can see where this is heading. The service sectors like hospitality, hotels, restaurants and home services will be stretched very thin.
Prepare for your family accordingly.
Secure yourselves for coming shortages. Don’t forget your pets. The window to be ahead of the zombie swarm is now down to around 15 days.

Elaine Chao’s family is from Taiwan, not the mainland.
True, but most of the family business is with mainland China.
If this ‘is’ true, it is pretty breathtaking just how infiltrated the country has become – and yet, I suspect it IS true. It’s also interesting, because it seems like on odd days we’re pretty much screwed and on even days we’re winning. Hmm. And, the newest bright light in the storm is Dr. Malone (who currently features prominently in even day messaging) – his stated ties to the CIA notwithstanding.
BlackRock – owns most of the USA and is tied to China
THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN WITH OUT DECADES OF A CONGRESSES WILLING TO GO ALONG SILENTLY.
Here is a link of research done by RFK jr, i’ve sent it to sundance a couple times and waiting for a post on this issue (still) The title talks big pharma but it’s MUCH BIGGER than just Big Pharma as you will see

And all this doesn’t even take into account all the islamic infiltration in the gov that’s been going on through recruitment and preferential hiring since 2001.
I am hoping and praying that the recent real estate debacle in China sends Blackrock to hell and more!
The wife of the President of Black Rock is an appointee of and by Joe Biden. She’s in the White House to advise Biden who advise her of his ideas and plans. But she doesn’t live there so then she goes home at night. To the President of Black Rock. See how it works?
Not everyone working at the CIA is guilty of something. We’re fast moving into times when each person must discern what is true and leave behind the broad brush of what we feel. Dangerous times demand discernment between good and evil because wrong decisions can overthrow your survival and your family. With our electricity to connect you outside of your house and employment who will you trust? Plan ahead. Who has your back? Who tells the truth? Decide.

At this late juncture, American Patriots who persist in seeking evermore factoids to ‘prove’ existential crisis stares them squarely in the face are every bit as enmeshed in self-deception as are their Leftie counterparts. Mediadrome is a universal condition.
The Last Great Factoid is a Dither-in-disguise.
Street-level Lefties are not to be confused with the straddling Machiavellian oligarchy (whose sole ideology is POWER which transcends the Right/Left barricades) who are anything but self-deceived at the chaos they are delivering.
Beyond this group, everybody else is watching TV hoping to peek the revolution’s opening credits. This makes them permanently reactive since Real Shit Happening is never televised. In fact never before has the demise of a Republic been VIEWED by its citizenry with such dispassionate intensity.
The local Mennonite stores and groceries have a very local base of supply. They support family farms and family business. During the first wave of supply issues, there were few shortages within this community.
(Many) Small Family Farms are true food security, they have been battered though for years with the ‘get big or get out’ policies.
I’ve bought extra seed for this year (vegtables and seed plants for my chickens). Am taking 3/4 of my horses pasture away to plant the extra, don’t tell him! he’ll be pretty ticked when he see’s the fence go up..
We have converted most of our 1/3 acre into a garden – self sufficient in tomato sauce/paste/etc. beans, cucumber fresh/pickled, squash zucchini/winter, peppers green/jalapeno/thai hot, broccoli, lettuce, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries. So – not self sufficient in everything, but we are self sufficient in many things. It’s damn scary to see that we will actually NEED our preps and this is becoming something more than a hobby.
1/3 acre can grow allot of food! Kudo’s to you and yours for doing that! sow some flowers and herbs with your veggies, they are wonderful for the soul 🙂 .
had a discussion on growing for Family with my son, this was my example:
One large butternut squash on the table every day for 4 months
Average of 3 squash per vine
40 seeds, approx 4.00
20 x 25 foot area to provide proper spacing
Not required but, makes life easier – plastic to grow through(weed control)
Nice calculations – it’s taken us 20 years of gardening to get this far! We have 20 4′ by 16′ raised beds plus a bunch of fencing for climbers (not cattle panel, just fencing on stakes). Believe it or not, just this last year I discovered the scuffle hoe. For 19 years, we actually weeded by hand – oh boy, that was a chore that did not get done well (we’re against plastic because of the cost at both ends, buying and disposing. Here’s a link for anyone that might be interested.
Those are great. A collinear hoe is a good one too if your soil is a little on the hard side. Putting sand in helps quite a bit.
aka hula hoe – I ditched the plastic and rely on mine
Salvaged windows make a decent greenhouse with tables or cold frame, with water hose, fan, etc for colder times for seed starting and extends the growing season. Old door hinges or leather straps for hinges. Improvise.
That’s great to hear. As I always say “Having farms near you is a blessing”
It takes a long time to go broke. Then it happens in the blink of an eye.
Venezuela here we come.
My employer specifically added direction for my vax accommodation that I should come in to work if a test is not available. ie, be responsible trying to keep tests in stock, but lack of a test kit is not sufficient to stay home absent any symptoms.
But it’s about our health, of course.
Said company is a huge contractor with lots of govt contracts worked internationally (think middle east supply chain and security for example).
The subtle phrasing of their COVID communication and liberal leeway for vac accommodations strongly suggests they feel like we do about the situation but can’t find a clean way out.
I don’t know of a single person that requested a vax mandate exemption that was denied or even questioned. Also have not heard of anyone that didn’t get the exemption because they could not agree on the accommodations. Of course, the only new requirement beyond those in place last 2 yrs was the forced testing… which comes full circle to the subject of this post.
I believe the Supreme Court is hearing the case on mandates this Friday.
Really? That is, at least, some good news. From reading, it has seemed as though it was difficult-to-impossible to get an exemption, so really glad to hear that. Seriously good news. (Glad not everyone, like the SEALS recently, have to rely on the courts.)
(jumping up and down with hand raised, trying desperately to get the teacher’s attention)
“Ohh ooh, pick me, pick me!. I know what is going to happen next! Only the vaxxed will get the privilege to shop for the scarce food and supplies!”

Look at all of the pathetically brainwashed, mindless SHEEP lined-up for their very own slaughters.
It won’t be long until someone figures out coating the nasal mucosa with something before testing (virucidal agent, nasal spray, ointment, honey?) can denature the swab sample and get you a negative test , then we’ll be back in business….
I LIKE it!
Vinegar does that.
rubbing alcohol seems to work.
The CDC admitted that these tests were giving over 90% false positives, and they’re still using them?! Anyone who submits to a test will be under their control. It’s not just the jabs. Once you submit to testing, any bogus result, you must submit to thier decisions regarding your life. The test is just a tool for them to get a foothold into your private life. Once they get in, they will never leave.
I want to know what test is being used? The CDC announced early last summer that the PCR test was being discontinued after 12/31/21 due to high rate of false positives…..so has anybody heard or read what has replaced it, if anything? Are they relying on the even worse rapid tests? The CDC has gotten everything wrong since the beginning, one would have to conclude it’s intentional. Had the CDC set a reasonable national standard of cycles (say 25) for the PCR test to be run at the outset of this mess, at least we would have some comparative information. They had to know, it’s basic science to standardize lab procedure in order to output useful data, but they are either ignorant or it was intentional, there is no in between .
There is no such thing as “the” PCR test. There are many PCR tests with EUAs. What was terminated was the specific test known as “CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel”.
This is the replacement. Gates and Soros own the company.
Was that a cold chill you just felt, I know I experienced one when I read about this.

not sure if anything changed.
I guess I’m going to have to get over my dislike for venison.
I’ve never been so thankful to live in rural Mississippi. We can grow food year round and have plenty of local farmers who sell to individuals. I thought we were overrun with meat cutters but Whooo Boy! am I glad they are here now and busier than ever. 90 miles to my south, we can fish or purchase from local markets, or sometimes right off the boat. There are two reasonably close dairy barns that sell to the public.
It might be inconvenient, but we won’t go hungry. Meanwhile, I am donating to local food pantries this year. We’re going to be okay. But, I am so worried about my city dwelling fellow Americans.
Rural America is set up to thrive – so maybe we can actually save all our Farmers and Ranchers from Big Ag who’s destroying family owned businesses!
How long do you suppose Deer or any other animal will be abundant to hunt?
I don’t think wild life will survive this either…… j/s
I would say Deb is corrrrrect.
I live in rural E TX and know my area…people and wildlife. 👌
It’s been mentioned that starving people won’t line up for hunting licenses or limits. Deer will be wiped out in 2 seasons; mating will end after the first decimation of adults; Fawns, become adults, become food the 2nd year. We only feed 330 million people by feeding herds and flocks, by strong people and equipment that require fuel and skills most don’t understand. Hungry people can destroy the crops that feed the animals or destroy nesting, calving, areas, access to water. 70 years of ‘I’m hungry now’ and a run to the store, take out or open a refrigerator is over. Planning months ahead will be the norm. What you can can or preserve may not be what you like. Buy seeds for root vegetables that store well; carrots beets, peas, beans of all kinds, potatoes of all kinds, onions, garlic. If you can’t can or dehydrate you’ll have to eat it or trade it.
Maybe longer than you think. There aren’t that many good hunters out there who know how to track animals and have good enough aim to actually shoot them. Some people waste so much good ammo.
Boston here. I’d say between dry, canned, and frozen we’re good for about a month, Lord willing. There were no noticeable shortages last time though meat got a bit pricey, but the motto for the year is once again ‘expect the unexpected’.
That is so true. And we add to it — and remember it will all go down much more rapidly than expected.
Everything so far is.
Can you buy more now to get you through until you can pick the early vegetables in June you planted in ? April ? Stack it to the rafters, fill the dresser drawers. Remember the fats – highly valued to prevent brain fog, supply calories burned because of stress and cold (no heat?) and a new physical life of walking and gardening, pour some in soups,… 2000 calories + per day per person. At at point, it will be very unsafe to leave a grocery store, leave a house empty, or allow cooking odors outside. There a many great Prepper sites, scan them for info you need.
These are recommendations. Guidlines. Not regulations. And certainly not laws. The CDC has no authority to issue reglations by its own legislative charter. As such, the only thing driving compliance with these CDC guidlines is aversion to liability risk by corporate lawyers and beancounters. How much more “risky” can it get if your entire corporation shuts down?
At some point common sense must prevail by realizing that following these guidlines is more risky than not following. But this all becomes moot if Going Direct fiat is making its way to even small and mid-sized corporations, essentially buying their compliance. I doubt that, though, because the end game here is genuine economic collapse, so all the small and mid-sized businesses can be bought up for pennies and plugged into the new CBDC rollout.
Now is the time for businesses to make the existential decision of saying no thanks to CDC “guidlines”.
Really? After two years, why do you do you think the law is going to restrain them?
I said nothing about the law restraining them. I said businesses and corporations must say no thanks, because they are simply guidelines and not regulations.
If you’re like me, you can’t eat through the fresh veggies fast enough before they go bad. I hate, hate, hate wasting them. So I started a new practice with veggies, just like I do with meat. Back up…with meat, I buy sales on family packs, break them down to individual meal portions and freeze. I started doing that with my celery, onions, peppers and carrots. Break them down right from the jump. dice and freeze 1/2 immediately. Keeps me in fresh veggies and frozen veggies for soups, casseroles or whatever.
And if you have animals, they love food scraps!
I buy fresh produce specifically for freezing. It can sometimes be cheaper than canned, or ready frozen. 1 pound baby carrots is currently 98 cents, but bag of frozen if you find them, is $1.99 etc I do the same with potatoes. Buy a big bag, peel, and mash. Portion it up for the freezer!
Freezer space runs out pretty fast, and is dependent on the grid working (unless you are energy independent too). Dehydrating seems to be the most economic way to go. Freeze drying is too expensive for most of us, but a lot can be just plain dehydrated and some of it powdered. For example, you can dehydrate pumpkin, grind it in a food processor, and you then have powdered pumpkin puree, ready for pies or side dishes. This girl on youtube has excellent videos for those who haven’t canned, dehydrated or otherwise preserved food a lot. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNXnzorI5nuqem74vPa31gw
Democrat politicians will economically destroy the Blue States.
My head aches from all this nonsense. The libs are shooting from the hip. Everything they say is so far from what makes sense that I feel like I’m in Lala land.
Who are these fools? I am so anxious for November when we can give them all the finger (I hope!). Their thinking is so far off from what should be a correct process re this variant. There will be more variants to come…by then we will be in the Hunger Games for real.
Fire Fauci LGB FJB
It’s the mass psychosis that Dr. Malone pointed out. Trying to convince someone that the Jab is dangerous or that Covid is not as bad as flu/pneumonia/bronchitis is like banging your head against the wall over and over and over. The world, has indeed, gone barking mad.
My hope is with you, however, they seem to get away with cheating.
And the ‘negative’ test kits will have been doctored to show mostly ‘positive’ results, therefore keeping workers at home.
The use of the foreign born in positions of power is an old trick of the demons who are behind the curtain, where they pull the strings
Yes. I tend to think it’s all American leftists and globalists, till I stop and think about all the infiltration in the past 20 years. These decisions are NOT just being made by fellow Americans.
I was at a local Safeway two days ago. The shelves were absolutely bare. No produce at all except for a few bags of pre packaged salad. The other shelves were very picked over too. They weren’t even employing strategic shelving. The checker said they hadn’t had a truck come in for 2 days. And that there were a “few things in the back” but they didn’t have anyone coming to work to stock shelves.
Meanwhile, yesterday, I got a call from my neurologist’s office. I no longer have a neurologist. The one I was seeing “can’t come back” because they don’t have enough nurses to”cover him”. The other neurologists who see MS patients are full. But I can go to Sioux Falls, Denver or Casper WY if I want she helpfully said. All are many hours away from me.
So it’s beginning folks. Be aware.
I have been seeing a functional medicine CNP who has helped me more than the neurologist ever did. And she isn’t affiliated with the regional health monopoly that fired 40% of their staff for non vaccine compliance.
That’s why I say Biden‘s plan is actually:

Could this be fake ?
Who would do that and why ?
Somebody trying to CREATE panic ?
There are enough real supply issues to report on.

Wow!
Looks like the CDC punted on this one.
The updated CDC guidance does not say that isolated people have to test negative before emerging from isolation, but said that if people want to take a test, “the best approach is to use an antigen test towards the end of the 5-day isolation period.”
If the person does choose to take a test and the antigen test result is positive, the person should continue to isolate until day 10.
“If essential workers with ordinary sniffles, sneezes, coughs, stuffy-heads, and general aches and pains do not come to work because these are Omicron symptoms, the U.S. economy is going to be in staggeringly big trouble at a macro and micro level.”
Essential workers with ordinary sniffles will not be getting tested because they would miss a paycheck or two, putting them into deeper financial trouble. They will go to work because they need the money to feed the kids. Unless the employer provides mandatory testing, workers will hide any possible illness behind acetaminophen, aspirin, and pseudoephedrine-type products and keep on going.
This is how several people I know got the WuFlu to begin with over a year ago, from a waitress that needed the money.
Something hardly mentioned is that all those holiday credit card bills will arrive soon.
Add that to food price increases.
This will put consumers in an even tighter bind. How does this effect demand ? Eats burger instead of steak , eats cheap chicken drums instead of boneless breast. Mac & Cheese 3 times a week ? Ramen noodles for breakfast ?
Restaurants goona be hurting. Again.
Yep, and I am watching land costs. Prices are falling again, soon to be followed by house values!
You’re right about the credit card scenario, and its going to get nasty very quick!

Surely the Democrats are not this stupid. But then…………
Lock everyone up in Every Blue State and watch your DSP nation Die! The rest of us are almost ready to go to war to defend our civil and constitutional liberties.
We’ve had the hardest time over the past year getting our dogs our usual dog food.
With all of this, I don’t have much hope over those 25 vacating seats on the Dem side. What will they be replaced with? (I would say “who” to be grammatically correct, however “what” seems more appropriate! These are the beasts of satan himself.) I fear it will be even something more sinister than the likes we have seen in the squad. This is their takeover of America.
Even if they occupy those seats with Repubs, you can’t much tell the difference between the two. Interesting that in Indiana, the State Superintendent of schools… both of them flipped from Republican to Democrat. Glenda Ritz (2013-2016) and her successor Jennifer McCormick (2016-2020). If it’s a politician… they’re filthy scheming liars… it doesn’t matter the side. If the politicians are already in office… they’re complicit. They should have been screaming the likes of Jelena McWilliams of the FDIC.
We need a new government – or to secede from the union and let these evildoers to their own devices and stop supporting them with our hard-earned money. And even harder-earned, as it’s getting to be a nightmare to navigate normal business. Just to change an email password for a vendor, it took me four authentication steps… everything is more complicated than I have ever seen… and set to become worse. Just try calling the Social Security Administration, your health insurance company, the unemployment office, the Internal Revenue Service… it’s worse than the cable companies.
Add what he’s saying to Biden and his destruction. Not pretty!
I’ve already been impacted by this fear and superstition. I’m in the midst of my second sinus infection/bronchitis/head cold episode, the first starting Thanksgiving day, this second last week. Saturday after Thanksgiving I self-tested positive for the Covid, leading to family disowning me for putting them at risk (none have contracted the Covid to my knowledge). Yesterday I visited the clinic I would get my Moderna booster at (I know, I know), but I coughed. They inquired, I was truthful, and they refused the booster due to my potential active Covid infection. I get sinusitis/bronchitis regularly, so I may never be without symptoms, and despite their offer of a specific Covid test to rule it out, they admit that if it were delayed a day it would be invalid by their policy, and wasted. I was refused the booster, and I’m considering my options at another clinic that may or may not tolerate my presentation with even a well-gone bout of bronchitis. I may now be continually perceived as having an active Covid infection despite tests or knowing full well I’m just ‘sick’. Not good.
