There is a great deal of political media time devoted to the Virginia gubernatorial election that takes place next week. There is also a major disconnect in the analysis of Virginia politics and what takes place there, so it’s worth pausing and reminding everyone about its unique status.
When an event happens in New York City, the scale of media coverage is so disproportionate to the issue it has historically been laughable. The media are centered in NYC, so the media focus on events in NYC as if the rest of the country cares. We don’t. A waterline break in a NYC subway station gets the scale of national media coverage as if Hoover dam collapsed; most Americans just roll their eyes.
However, because of the proximity to Washington DC, and because of where almost all the federal workers inside the DC system live, that same scale of skewed emphasis is also evident in Virginia when it comes to anything political.
Virginia politics is where the UniParty swamp creatures argue among themselves. In Virginia the elites in the DNC club debate their high-brow outlooks with the elites in the RNC club. Virginia is where the traditional DC political establishment of both clubs gather socially to pontificate about their importance in the world of everything political.
Is the whole state like this? No. However, the DC beltway is so influential and so populous the other parts of the state are essentially irrelevant to election outcomes.
As the U.S. federal government grew, so too did the swamp physically expand to make room for all the high-minded bureaucrats who run the machine. Northern and Eastern Virginia were taken over and absorbed into the swamp, the rest of Virginia was cast into the role of Oliver asking for a bit more soup.
When Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were talking about smelly WalMart people, they were really just encapsulating the reality that exists in Virginia, elites -vs- proles, they were not lying; they just said the accepted quiet part out loud and a lot more people saw it, that’s all.
What passes for an acceptable Republican in Virginia is the Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney and John McCain brands. There is almost no difference between an establishment Republican and an establishment Democrat in this region. They eat together, hang out together, party together and generally live their best swamp life together. As a result, their election debates are usually on nuanced cultural issues.
In the widely covered current governors race, the difference between former governor Terry McAuliffe (Democrat) and first-time Republican candidate Glen Youngkin, is very small. The clubs keep it that way; and no, they do not care about your opinion. Anyone who challenges the internecine club system in Virginia will quickly see themselves removed, and the club(s) will modify the party rules to avoid any further encroachment.
Democrat Terry McAuliffe messed things up for his club when he said parents should not be able to influence what happens in their children’s schools. Republican Glen Youngkin seized on that opportunity to enhance his club….. and as usual, that’s now the central focal point of the Virginia race.
Notice, neither candidate talks much about forced vaccines, workers losing their jobs over vaccines, vaccine passports, tax punishments, job losses or inflation, because the club leaders have instructed the club candidates to chew the fat on an educational and cultural issue they deem to carry national importance. Additionally, notice how Youngkin will not talk positively about Donald Trump and has not wanted any support whatsoever from Trump because his consultants believe the MAGA mindset is too controversial for the electorate.
You may remember a similar scenario in 2014 when Tom Cotton was running for the Senate in Arkansas and the GOeP club (writ large) told Cotton to tone himself down to a light pastel in order to appeal to “moderate” and “women” voters. Unlike Youngkin, Tom Cotton refused the consultant advice and went full wolverine against the democrat incumbent Mark Pryor. Throughout the race club pollsters and DNC media said the Arkansas race was tight and Cotton would likely lose if he kept being aggressive and pro-constitution (a Tea Party theme) in his campaign. On election night, Cotton won by 17 points.
This milquetoast approach to elections is where the terms “suburban women’s vote” or “suburban soccer moms” comes back into play, as both clubs debate which club has better parenting skills. Meanwhile, the political consultants are paid to figure out which catch-phrase has the best cultural acceptance rate. Watching this level of political theater is almost as painful as being forced to watch CNN cover a blown water main in New York City, because inevitably we are going to hear the same tired narrative from the Republican pundit class…. “This has national implications.” No, no it doesn’t.
Vote for Youngkin because at least you’ll have a fighting chance and he’s not a communist. But don’t consider a state-wide race in Virginia, fraught with nuanced shades of purple, to be a referendum on how the nation feels as a whole. In Virginia the grassroots divisions are bold, but the party club divisions are almost invisible.
The Virginia Governor’s race is akin to two lovers debating whether Mercedes or BMW will be their next SUV….
…..And that is exactly why RNC President Ronna McDaniel is willing leave the spa a little early, put down her white wine spritzer, walk away from the crustless triangle sandwich buffet and give everyone her opinion on what really matters to American voters.
How are we all going to fit inside of Florida?!!?
How about coming to Texas?
Maybe, if they control their border.
We could change the demographics in Austin.
Austin would need a list of states from which people can move here. Picking my daughter up from school, I saw 2 license plates from CA and one from NY. Those have to be changed to TX plates within 30 days, so those are just a few recent transplants. CA and NY would definitely not be on the “change the demographics” list.
It depends on what part of NY and California. The people from upstate New York and the parts of California that aren’t LA and San Francisco are pretty solid.
True story: When the whole “Confederate flag” controversy was hot, I saw pickup truck in the Mohawk Valley driving around flying … the Confederate Battle Flag. In NEW YORK.
Good people.
In 1864 my grandfather’s grandfather was taken prisoner by the federal invaders. This was just miles just miles from his home in Virginia. He was sent to Point Lookout, Maryland and then to Elmira, New York until paroled in 1865. He had to walk home. those who cry over Andersonville should read about the conditions that Confederate POWs had to endure. Ironic that 150+ years later they may be realizing the South was right.
My daughter lives in Austin, so am there often. The number of license plates from CA, OR, WA and NY, MA, NJ and PA is simply astounding. Real estate prices have quadrupled in some areas due to the demand and influx of cash needing to be reinvested into real estate to avoid taxation.
Want to buy a house in Austin? You will need to offer 125% asking price to have a chance.
However…
My 21 year old daughter (who is a staunch conservative thankfully) tells me that the liberal environment has changed this past year. She says that despite the “required mask” signs everywhere, masks are seen rarely. The younger population is tired of the social posturing, apparently. Clubs and restaurants are again full. Austin City Limits concert was packed.
Probably me just being a foolish optimist, but I think that Austin – though still extremely liberal and left dominated, has possibly realized that being controlled by government is no fun.
I was born and have lived all my life, (except four years in the Navy), in Oregon and would be a good addition to Texas. Conservative, gun loving, Christian, only reason I’m still in Oregon is at 69 I don’t want to move all my stuff including a large shop full of tools. Don’t paint all Oregonians with the same liberal Portland brush.
How?
Nope, Y’all are not welcome in Texas unless you drop the GOP. Texas has enough political issues without more GOP Club cocktail sippers. We need solid conservatives.
do you think Treepers are GOP Club cocktail sippers? are you new around here? lol
First, get rid of Abbott.
And the rest of the RINO bluenoses.
Although if enough Deplorables moved to TX we could probably vote them out, once we rid the state of machine-manipulated voting systems…..
First get rid of Adler and Austin City Council. Hate to say it, but then I would probably have to agree about Abbott. His AG Ken Paxton can stay.
President Trump has endorsed Gov Abbott. Are you going to fight with the army you have or The Perfect, even if there is only a “snowball’s chance?” We’re going to need to fight smart, tough, and using the Reality Principle – which means do not let the usual divide and conquer happen.
I spent some time with my Amish neighbor’s today and it was very refreshing.
The Amish do not care one bit about the corona virus hulabaloo or the economic crisis and they do not know who Terry McAuliffe is and they do not care.
They have carved out beautiful peaceful lives for themselves here in rural Colorado.
They move here to our area about 15 years ago and now have built farms, and many business that sell products to the “English”.
They are not worried about the CRT in their schools because the Amish have their own schools.
They work very hard and have much peace of mind living beautiful productive lives without much government interference.
I am just amazed that over 100 million of us have allowed the federal government to insert itself into our lives and cause so much mental anguish and chaos to our every day lives.
So many are running around in fear and panic hanging on the latest news reports about the latest election audit and the latest this and the latest that.
Let the fear go.
We need to stop running and stop being so afraid for the future.
I am not saying we must live like the Amish, some what isolated, but to face the future with a peaceful mind and to just say this chaos of mind and frantic fussing must stop.
We can help each other and survive and even be amazing and wonderful.
I have learned a lot about how to get along in life from my Amish neighbors even though I am not interested in joining their church.
They don’t watch tv and that is a large part of their peaceful attitude. A lot of Trump supporters are people who do not own tv’s and thus do not watch tv. They missed out on the propaganda and have critical minds and made their own decisions…ditto masks/vaccines. If you don’t watch tv you don’t wear a mask and don’t get the vaccines. Tv’s instill fear in people. Where I used to live in Maine I had a few neighbors. with kids, who did not have tv’s. And some who did would do a week without tv every once in a while. Their children were all very bright, excelled at school, and somehow lived without tv and didn’t even notice.
Chloe. I think we be near each other. It’s re assuring to think there’s another treeper in the area. Even if you’re on the other end of the state it still gives me hope that the once great state of CO as red as I think it is.
If you are near the Farm Brewery keep an eye out for me. Grey baseball cap with an American flag mountain goat on it.
If not, keep fighting the good fight wherever you are.
Colorado red? There hasn’t been much evidence, at least politically, to support that.
There are 365 references to “fear not” in the Bible. One for every day of the year. Probably not a coincidence.
From the website howtobeyourowndetective.com :
https://howtobeyourowndetective.com/2021/10/26/mcauliffe-and-virginia-dems-virginia-is-for-rapists/
Virginia Democrat office holders, lawyers, and law enforcement officials for decades ordered thousands of innocent girls and young women who were incest or rape victims to be sterilized against their wills because someone considered them white trash, and because someone wanted to escape a rape prosecution. The Buck vs. Bell case, foolishly decided in Virginia’s favor by the Supreme Court in 1927, gave state officials the illicit right to sterilize these unwilling females, whose only crime was being raped or incested by some scumbag in their state. Patsy Cline, the country singer, grew up in Winchester, VA. Her father raped her when she was a very young teen. Patsy’s mother immediately got Patsy and the other children away from her husband and divorced him. She knew filing a rape report against him wouldn’t get him punished and might get Patsy sterilized against her will. Thanks, Virginia Democrats. You have generations of scumbag tradition on your side.
Fear is what makes sheep easy to control.
Good observation. The problem is that you can run but you can’t hide. Why did the Amish move to Colorado 15 years ago? Could it be that they were crowded out where they came from, not only by population pressures but by the intrusive government that follows it?
CC you mentioned the Amish have their own schools. A group of dissidents from the Amish Heritage Foundation is hoping to challenge Wisconsin vs Yoder which could have profound implications for Amish schools (and possibly other religious/homeschool groups). You could read about it in The Federalist, November 26, 2019 John Ditzler’s article “Activist Attack Religious Freedom to Control What Parents Teach”.
Or Oklahoma! Not quite as famous as my great homestate, but definitely still very red on personal freedoms…
What about Kansas?
Kansas is a red state but they only elect RINOs.
Could you please build a few mountains? Oklahomans are very nice, but Oklahoma is just so FLAT.
Which is why Florida and not Texas. Florida is beautiful. All due respect to the others but the landscape is ugly.
Texas is being flooded with illegals who will all soon vote for communism because their is no way to stop it when the feds are openly supporting it. Expect Texas to be blue by 2024. Sad but true. And Abbott is all talk and little action.
Fake Texas, as I like to phrase it.
All due respect to Texas it’s not nearly as beautiful as Florida. The scenery is pretty brutal.
It’s funny, but true. I’m from Texas, moved to North Carolina. Here in North Carolina the conservatism has a distinctly religious flavor. The NC conservatives consider the Texas conservatives wobbly in the same way the Texans consider the California conservatives wobbly.
There’s actually a name for us, I can’t remember if it’s “Tex-acrats” or “Tex-afornians.”
Bring an inner tube.
Easily. We have plenty of open space for Patriots. For liberals, we are closed.
I’d vote for complete secession! South Carolina had the right idea in the first place! And no, this comment has nothing to do with slavery, as some would certainly be led to believe, but about getting far, FAR away from the Federal Government!!
MAGA Country is much more than Florida and Texas.
Ask jucie smellit.
He found MAGA country in Chicago of all places.
Mostly the old Confederacy plus the upper plains and mountain west states that have little population.
MAGA Country is most of America.
Texas
We know Florida can’t flip over since it’s attached, but surely the influx will hasten Florida’s slow descent into the Atlantic. Where’s AOC?
Lol, I closed today selling the most beautiful 7.34 acre lot in Leon/Jefferson counties. Splitting off 5 more, cleared and perfect, next month; ~24 minutes to the capitol building. Professional a/o retired neighbors have chickens, rabbits, cows, donkeys. All I have are five children :). Anywho, much land still, at least in some parts of Fla.
We’re not. That’s why we have to fight. The Dems are empty. Parasites on a host is all. I’m not willing to cede them one inch of the USA.
Don’t run! Fight back! Go to conventionofstates.com and become part of the movement that is restoring the culture of self governance to America. “We the people” are authorized to do so, and if we don’t we are already no more than slaves.
Florida’s freedom depends on its governor. What will happen if the next governor lacks DeSantis’ courage?
LOVE^^^^^ 1000 times!
Just beach friends.
Yeah they changed the system of how the candidate is picked and screwed the people in the process. We never had a chance. I agree there is not much difference between the two candidates. So it really doesn’t matter! Voting is not going to help this lost state! I’m longing for the free state of FL!
We left. Good riddance to VA!
I could be wrong, but it appears that you think this situation of the Two Corporate System (little difference and no voice) debacle is unique to your state.
It’s not.
This union is finished if we continue to settle for voting between two worthless pigs. The evil of two lessers.
Agree, Ohio is much the same with a RINO governor.
Liddle Mikey DeRINO is the worst, taking orders from the Chamber and Ohio Business Roundtable.
Beware of the fake cowboy Joe Blystone who’s there to split votes and get DeRINO reelected.
Vote Renacci.
Ohio is the birthplace of the Uniparty, Christine.
If you think back over the years and what has transpired here in Ohio, back to Guvner Jim Rhodes and before, clear back to the 1950s Mafia days, you will see I am correct.
This is Virginia we are talking about.
This election is rigged.
The Democrat will win.
Glad i live in Florida, the:
http://www.oasisoffreedom.com
We have the only Governor that counts.
BREAKING NEWS!
Fox news has just called the election………
This article clearly articulated my view. I am voting for Youngkin, but all I expect of him is that he is not McAuliffe.
Here in VA, if a candidate who isn’t Establishment gets the nomination over the Club candidate, the GOP Club goes dark so the Dem Club candidate can win. This happened to MAGA Corey Stewart twice.
VA needs to split into two states: North VA and South VA.
It happened to Ken Cuchinelli also. He was a great candidate. Should have been the head of Homeland Security, but McConnell wouldn’t get him approved.
Ken was good until he went batcrap at the convention because Trump won. Then Trump gave him a job. Ugh.
Now we know why West Virginia said bye-bye!
No, just throw Nova in with MD. If split into 2 states, they get more Dems senators and reps.
The left has ruined my beloved home state. It wasn’t always the way it is now.
That’s what it has been, seems most of my life. Always voting for the guy who is less awful. Except for Trump.
Well, yeah there is. McAwful is a very gross, sleazy, slimy man. Glenn at least is clean in that respect. They both are club members, but I am telling you as someone that has been in the room w/both of them, there is night and day difference. Glenn also prays in public, quite good at it. I don’t know if Terry has ever said a sincere prayer in his life.
Terry once prayed to have his Pornhub.com membership renewed.
He’s a scumbag.
He really is. His skin oozes slime.
Why would Virginia even want McAuliffe back as their Governor? Once is enough.
We don’t want him back, he wants to be POTUS and this is his stepping stone to get to the WH. He was an awful gov. the first time around. People w/giant egos don’t know how to think, they just want what they want.
So – you don’t think it makes any difference if:
– Marxism is taught in schools?
– abortion is available on demand?
– taxes are blown up?
And your solution is to not vote?
start thinking outside the box
there are plenty of different ways to vote besides in rigged elections
Vote for Youngkin because at least you’ll have a fighting chance and he’s not a communist. But don’t consider a state-wide race in Virginia, fraught with nuanced shades of purple, to be a referendum on how the nation feels as a whole. In Virginia the grassroots divisions are bold, but the party club divisions are almost invisible.
The only chance the old Dominion will have is if their state legislature is republican red.
Virginia gets bluer every year. So many liberal millennial and immigrants move down from. DC into VA that winning statewide races is tough when you have DEM and Diet DEM to choose from.
Definitely vote youngkin anyone Obama and kamala support are evil swamp dwellers !
I was born and raised in Virginia. My family goes all way back to the Revolution. As much as I love my home state, I made the painful decision to leave for a free state 2 years ago.
Sundance, you are dead on about the politics of both parties there. It is reprehensible how quickly and thoroughly the DC Swamp swallowed up vast areas of my beloved home state.
The Founding Fathers are surely rolling in their graves. I pray for my family still there, every day.
Couldn’t we at least see a McAuliffe loss as a major blow against the American Marxists. When do elections ever have positive consequences in your worldview?
Exactly. What me worry?
For most Virginians concentrated in the north, Richmond and Tidewater, the perpetuation of big government is the sole issue on which they vote. They love government money, as long as its someone elses.
News flash: its not!
“I feel like I know what’s best for my family better than a politician does”…Virginia Democrat Votes for Republican Youngkin

Thank you Ma’am for doing the right thing! ??
https://100percentfedup.com/i-feel-like-i-know-whats-best-for-my-family-better-than-a-politician-does-virginia-democrat-votes-for-republican-youngkin/
I don’t know if Youngkin can win because history will no doubt repeat itself. It seems Virginia is just another state that the Democrats have rigged.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/02/308000-ballot-drop-fairfax-county-virginia-election-night-biden-one-ballot-drop-73-countys-results/

Count on it. It’s the only way they win.
I agree fully and will be shocked (pleasantly) if youngkin is allowed to win.
McAwful is part of a dirty political machine they’ve been working the early/mail in/absentee/double secret balloting since Sept 17.
Are the republicans watching all this like hawks? Or will they allow themselves to be rolled **again**
The answer to that is yes. John Fredericks has been traveling with Youngkin for over a week. JF has reported that the GOP has placed lawyers in the Northern VA Precincts as poll watchers. Youngkin’s team has poll workers in every Precinct in the state. VA Project has been addressing the Dem machine head on for months. They are on top of Dem areas especially Loudon and Fairfax counties.
That has been a positive where Youngkin is involved, he has the BIG CASH to put into the race.
VA Project hired Lance Allen, the wimp. It stuns me how these people never go away. VA just recycles candidates and politicians like cardboard boxes.
Not true they had a goo victory last week in IOWA! Just vote!
If anyone else noticed, Fairfax county played out a lot like Fulton county (GA) in the 2020 general election. Trump was doing well until a big pause that lasted hours when the big dump for Biden occurred. Youngkin should win. McAuliffe’s campaign is as terrible as Biden’s. It feels to me like McAuliffe knows the fix is in.
McAuliffe oozes creep. It is hard to look at him.
I firmly believe that Trump won Va and Warner lost. But here we are.
Fairfax County is the part of Virginia that typically gets the most focus and Dem votes. We went to the government center in Fairfax to vote yesterday. Where we entered, two Democrats were handing out blue papers instructing how to vote for Democrats. One Republican woman was handing out pink sheets of paper with instructions for voting Republican. The place was busy — and once in line we were told that it typically was taking a half-hour to reach the place to cast our vote. Voters could choose between touch-screen or a traditional ballot with bubbles to be filled in. We were asked for identification before receiving a ballot, and a driver’s license was fine.
On the walk out, we noted how many voters were holding the blue sheets of paper — and how many had pink sheets. It appeared that at that one moment in time, it was about 60 per cent blue sheets (Dems) and 40 per cent pink (Republican).
We have also been told that on election night, it may appear that the Republicans are winning early — because votes from the southern part of the state tend to come in first. However, after going to bed the Fairfax County votes are expected to arrive. And the Fairfax County vote tally is often said to be extremely critical with respect to the outcome of the elections.
Definitely a lot of government workers live in Fairfax County, a pretty heavily populated suburb of D.C. As Sundance noted, the southern part of the state is largely Republican, but Northern Virginia (and particularly Fairfax County) is largely Democrat.
In driving around Fairfax County prior to the most recent presidential election, almost every yard sign that we saw was for Biden. In the more rural southern part of the state, all of the signs along the road were for President Trump. There is a very definite divide between Northern and Southern Virginia.
Fairfax County always waits until the totals from the rest of the state are in, then they come up with then number of votes needed to ‘win’.
Just like king county here in washington
Unless Youngkin wins in a blowout…the Dems will find enough votes to win. Their problem is the final tally can’t be more than the state’s population. More than regustered voters is no problem. Dems have been winning for at least a decade when total votes exceeded the numbef if registered voters. Press can cover that easily. And do kn a regular basis.
The 2020 election was stolen. That has not been fixed — what makes anyone think any election from here on out is not also going to be fixed!!
The people can’t handle the Truth. That’s why they’re still talking about “elections”.
‘Serious enough for you now, Barack?’ Furious parents tell Obama to apologize to vindicated couple and their daughter, who judge finds WAS raped by a boy in a skirt in school bathroom, after he called it ‘fake outrage’
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10132499/Loudoun-County-parents-tell-Obama-apologize-rape-victims-dad-fake-outrage-claim.html
barry won’t apologize, he is too busy sitting around w/Bruce calling his fans racist. Quite stunning even for those two.
Tonight Tucker Carlson said on air …he stated was something we all know “Obama is a heartless monster.”
If Obama had a son…
…. he’d bench press ten pounds, max.
Obama does look like a weakling.
You mean if Obamboozler had a trans …
Regrettably all this is so true and terribly grievous to acknowledge.
It had a very discouraging affect on me, I had to fight it off.
We have to continue to vote even though we know they are cheaters.
We have to continue to trust have faith even though they continue to aggressively gain new ground daily.
Because it’s the right thing to do, we continue to do right even when we know they are all wicked cheaters.
Trying to vote Youngkin into office is the right thing to do.
Vote for Youngkin because at least you’ll have a fighting chance and he’s not a communist.
However, don’t consider a state-wide race in Virginia, fraught with nuanced shades of purple, to be a referendum on how the nation feels as a whole.
In Virginia the grassroots divisions are bold, but the party club divisions are almost invisible.
Take note of all the self-identified Republicans who refuse to do “the right thing.”
How are they any different from the GOPe’s preemptive surrender club?
They have no stomach for fighting and will cry like children when Democrats force on them the next outrage that they’ve planned.
The Republicans are responsible for all of this madness.
Rino Ryan and cocaine mitch screwed us repeatedly.
Fast and furious (gun running to the cartels)
Impeachment is off the table.
Bengazi (gun running to terrorists) impeachment is off the table.
Sending pallets of cash in the middle of the night to Iran (the largest state sponsor of terrorism) w/o Congressional approval.
Impeachment is off the table.
Presidential over reach by granting blanket authorization to the illegals.(dapa/daca)
Impeachment is off the table.
Using the I.R.S. to target Americans.
Impeachment is off the table.
Entering into a treaty (PPP) w/o Congressional approval.
Impeachment is off the table.
I could go on, but the point is that when the Republicans repeatedly tell someone that they are immune from any consequences or accountability for their illegal activities. (Except for the fake outrage displayed nightly on TV shows)Abdicating their role of oversight, checks and balances.
We get the government we deserve.
Is it any wonder they feel emboldened to continue to escalate their attack on America through illegal activities?
They are all the same!
Republicans are lazy, greedy, selfish, and incompetent.
Democrats are much worse.
I was reading an old post from Gateway Pundit about how Trump got fooled into endorsing Ryan and McCain in the summer of 2016. McCain over Keli Ward in AZ who was beating McCain in primary. We’re all a little wiser now, I myself was joyous when he won but would only later truly appreciate his economic genius.
It seems like VA is taking the cheating threat more seriously than in CA. No Republicans even came out to campaign here, total joke and an insult to the people who worked tirelessly to make that happen. Like the probable soon to be vacated Senate seat (Feinstein) didn’t matter either, we’ll just let Newsom pick someone.
How to trust the GOP will not pull their usual when the time comes for Trump to be the nominee?
I’m trying to live by MLK ” Even if I knew tomorrow would go to pieces, I’d still plant my apple tree”. I’m very concerned about the world next year, let alone 2024
BTW, that “bomb cyclone” storm in CA they’ve been hysterically hyping up….meh. I’m so sick of climate hysteria, all media hysteria actually. It was no biggie
What impact will declaring some rain a federal emergency have on the upcoming election?
Will fema run the elections?
The Borg owns all policies of Screaming Global Warming — and taking away our energy, natural resources, ownership of land, cars, now food, and making billions with useless windmills and solar panels, emptying Earth of precious metals and trashing our land. Most importantly they were the first to eliminate science for propaganda. Everything else followed.
Their billions are used in elections. Their programs of FEAR for the populace are to make everyone grateful to them. They are part of every election.
Look, let’s agree to identify commies (all Dems by now) and members of The BORG. Both want us erased r slaves as does China.
No whining. Fight smart and together. Find out how to get together.
No matter vote for Republican 2022 and 2024 that America first,??
Sounds like a repetition of the past. Sounds like doing the same thing over and over. Sounds like the definition of insanity.
While it is more obvious, in Virginia, what Sundance describes is EXACTLY what the GOPe has been doing, for YEARS in ALL elections.
THEY, by the policies the Uniparty jointly enacts, create “wedge” issues; abortion, tax reform, entitlements, immigration, Social Security debacle.
And, neither side has ANY intention to SOLVE these problems (Baal forbid!) as these very wedge issues, are what they solicit donations and votes FOR; the never fullfilled promise to SOLVE them.
Just as many are “waking up” (as opposed to ‘woke’) to the way ALL of our Institutions have been corrupted, to operate COUNTER to our best interests; from the Military, Law Enforcement and Justice (FBI, DOJ and Courts) our Public Indoctrination “education” system, our “Healthcare” system, ALL of our Institutions have become trashed, as a result of this Global corporate elitism.
The Republicon party, writ large played a major role in this “transformation”, and its been going on, at least since 1964. lLong past time to jettison the RNC/GOPe, if we are ever going to have political representation.
With Metro subway expansion into areas surrounding DC…
Agree! Swamp has only become larger!
Thanks for clarification.
Another ‘worthless’ election.
I suspected this.
This is not a worthless election. See my earlier post. See Sundance’s post above. We are fighting to keep Communism, CRT, Vaccine mandates, and same-day registration out of Virginia. These things alone are worth voting for Youngkin.
I have been a poll watcher at the Fairfax County Government Center. Much of the process is straightforward: IDs are checked. Occasionally someone comes in without an ID and is still allowed to vote if they sign a “confirmation” that they are who they are. But that’s very rare. Yesterday one voter was turned away because the computer said they had already voted. (They admitted it but …). Ballot harvesting is allowed but the numbers of ballots deposited in ballot box are a small fraction. (Maybe they will appear later?) Physical paper ballots are produced for each voter. These ballots are inserted in a counting machine and eventually removed and stored. If the counting machines are rigged an honest audit of the stored paper ballots should provide evidence of fraud. Overall – not foolproof but … gives me hope. So: if you live in VA: GO VOTE for Youngkin and Sears and Miyares and your local Republican delegate!!!
Thanks for all the efforts. It does matter.
Not at all.
I live in this state. This is for all of the marbles for VA, one way or the other.
I live in this state. Exactly Eric, this is for all the marbles.
Go hide under your bed and cry you LOSER.
It’s not worthless. Even Dems think McUaliffe is a skumbag. Youngkin is well liked and the Loudon county school board issues are resonating throughout the state. I had the privilege to hear Youngkin speak in person and he knows how to win this. Northern Virginia, including Fairfax and Loudon went 60-40 for Biden (after cheating). McAuliffe has seriously pissed off the soccer moms that send their kids to public schools in Northern Virginia. Lost those moms that voted Demin 2020 and McAuliffe loses Virginia. It’s as simple as that. All Youngkin has to do is “only” lose Northern Virginia by a 45-55 margin and he wins That is what is going to happen.
These are the same Virginia Republican party leaders who didn’t bother to make a huge f*cking deal out of now Gov. Northam’s graduate school yearbook photo of him in BLACKFACE standing next to another buddy dressed up in a Ku Klux Klan costume. This was the 1980s, not the 50s!
VA GOP = loser RINOs
Don’t let me get into an elevator with one of these people.
Vote Youngkin, the lesser of two weevils. Yeah weevils.
MAGA Forever!
I’d normally be with you, but Youngkin (who I did not support during the primaries) is running a very smart, hard-edged campaign.
He immediately went after McAwful on his school comments. It was the turning point.
His ads have also been very good, much better than typical RINOs in this state.
I love the basketball one where Youngkin challenges barry to play hoops. He sailed that ball into the net.
I was a minor politician in VA from 1980-95. GOPe always talked unity but stayed home or ran 3rd party candidates when conservatives won primaries. Anyone not nominated by the machine was sabotaged. Most of those I worked for were crooks. The bipartisan machine made up phony ethics charges against honest people who wandered into the fray. I got out after I figured out that most of my candidates i had volunteered for or worked for on subsistence wages were crooks.
Pattern observed:
1 – Hot-blooded debate-issue(s) distinguish the candidates. This election is important cuz…
2 – Conservatives are really PO’d this time. The normally safe Dhimmicrat is sweating it. “Your vote counts!”
3 – The Dhimmicrat-left deploy their standard media hate-mosh and iconic leftist speakers (Obama, etc) , knowing they are actually toxic, but flogging the leftist agenda loudly, anyway. The supposed influence of these speakers builds to a media crescendo as the rationale for:
4 – The polls tightening as the election approaches, regardless of the actual voter sentiment-ratio, out there.
5 – Election day: Previous Dhimmicrat cheating methods, unexamined and unchallenged by the R’s, meanwhile refined and enhanced by the D’s, provide a solid, if small, margin of Dhimmicrat victory. The illusion is preserved. Local R’s are invited to the D’s victory party as a show of…uh…bipartisanship.
Coming soon to a national election near you.
“Wake up and go to sleep!” – – Moe Howard
Washington Post headline: “Virginia loss shows way forward for Republicans”
Says all you need to know about Virginia if Mcdouche wins..
We lived in a reliably conservative county outside of Richmond in the early 90’s. We loved the place. Neighborhoods full of God fearing, red-blooded Americans on both sides of the James river.
I was passing through on business last year. Stopped off at an old favorite restaurant my family used to frequent. Not long after I placed my order I watched as some freakishly dressed dude loudly berated my waitress up one side and down the other because she had the temerity to call him “sir” when it was clear to EVERYONE that he was a “They”??
True story. I feel sorry for my old neighbors, but I’ll never set foot in that town again.
The last major election in Virginia, the Socialist Democrats took control over both legislative houses allowing “make a baby comfortable after being born while we decide what to do with it” Ralph “Blackface Northam to run roughshod over the Commonwealth.
The GOP in Virginia has been so lame, they failed to even muster opposition candidates against the Socialist Democrats in over 25% of the legislative seats! The current Democrat Socialists have screwed up the election laws further allowing mail-in voting, drop boxes, no voter ID, a pardon by the current governor for over 200,00 convicted felons so they can vote, and much much more.
Amanda Chase seemed like a decent candidate, She was like Trump in heels, and Senator Chase has been involved with election integrity. But instead of having a GOP primary vote by the citizens, the GOP had some weal-ass convention where Youngkin, a businessman, was selected. Youngkin seems okay, but how he will govern remains to be seen. DOminion voting machines may spell another corrupt election outcome.
Last, the rural parts outside of NOVA, Richmond, Norfolk, Roanoke, and Commie-Charlottesville, IS overwhelmingly conservative and handily outnumber the Democrat Socialists in the state-IF they all turn out to vote.
Don’t forget VA Beach and Chesapeake and Southside VA. We are being slowly taken over by the Bolsheviks but we are still in the fight.
I saw Amanda Chase making a speech, she was good, that’s what I’m worried about with the GOP taking it right out of the hands of the people. They rule us and we saw them for what they are when they turned their back on Trump after Nov 3rd. After Trump got them all over the finish line. So I guess we’re McConnell domestic terrorists, McCarthy terrorists, Lindsay Graham terrorists (who pimped himself out to Trump voters for months pre-election raising funds. Ick. )
Youngkin chance of winning in my opinion is very slim. Fairfax county already has the “cheat” machine going. They may have already or are in the process of eliminating the signature verification requirements for mail in and/or absentee ballots. I have also heard that they want to extend the deadlines for turning in ballots, however, don’t know if that has happened. Some of the other democrat dominated counties may be doing the same shenanigans. If I were the red parts of Virginia, I would hold back and say “Fairfax and all democrat dominated counties report in first”, until that time, we will withhold our reporting”. I might be wrong, but I say mcauliffe by 1 to 5 points.
Lawsuits have already been filed against Fairfax County on the Absentee ballots. J. Christian Adams is behind one of them. No, they didn’t get it extended. Multiple GOP groups are all over Fairfax and Loudon counties as well as others pushing back against fraud and are poll workers in every precinct in the state. That normally is not done.
Good to hear, may be we are finally getting wise to the crap they pull to win elections. Arlington is another county to watch, though. Don’t know if there are similar stunts being pulled there. We need to be ever vigilant in any demoncrat run county or city.
She looks like she eats a LOT of crustless triangle sandwiches.
I detest Ronna …
Me too, I knew he’s a RINO as soon as I heard Ronna was coming with lawyers.
Tom Cotton worked with Mitch McConnell to make sure that the GOPe would actively endorse the Fraud of 2020 “elections”.
https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-cotton-mcconnell-plotted-against-election-fraud-claims-book-2021-10
All these Judases are frauds who think they can get away with their betrayal.
Tom Cotton is a wolf alright..just not a wolverine.
I disagree. If you read Cotton’s Jan 3 statement he lays out a valid argument against Congress challenging the counting of Electoral College votes.
I agree with his long term concerns. My disagreement with his argument is that it assumes the action proposed was a permanent rejection of the EC count and replacing it with Congressional vote.
That is not what was being called for by the other side. It was a recognition of irregular election activity that likely effected the outcome (whether out right fraud or election laws being broken) by certain states.
All they wanted to do was send it back to the states for careful review/investigation before those electoral votes were certified.
So, although I agree with the Hawley/Cruz perspective….I don’t think Cotton was a traitor, Judas, or fraud.
Cotton was at Sea Island Resort meeting to figure out a plan to stop Trump, AFTER we the people has selected Trump to be our candidate.
The swamp is so much deeper and wider. Will keep fighting, it’s that or we’ll all end up with cancer due to the seething wrath. Turn it outwards. Like my reaction to Alec Baldwin, sorry to the victims, but NO MERCY. The stakes are too high and we should have shown no mercy decades ago, just as they have and are to us.

“This Isn’t a Trump Rally!” – Joe Biden Interrupted by Protesters During Stump Speech for Terry McAuliffe (VIDEO)

McAuliffe will institute vaccine mandates as soon as he takes office. Just like Murphy in New Jersey.
Ex-Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder says state Democrats have not earned black support

I sympathize with Virginia. We have the same problem in PA.
Ronna is a big *ING FAIL!
McAuliffe dancing at campaign stop. Pretty cringe-worthy.
McAuliffe is part of the Clinton Crime family so yes there is a difference. At least Youngkin isn’t going to force CRT in the schools and arrest parents who complain about what is taught in schools and transers raping kids in bathrooms.
Yeah, like Ronna will feel any pain over her Thanksgiving meal.
Youngkin is going into the belly of the beast Friday, he will be in Charlottesville. Most GOP simply won’t go there, as they see it as a waste of their time. He is DAVOS, Bilderberg, and all the other global club junk. He hasn’t been strong on 2A, as well as some other issues would have liked to hear him talk about.
I can say I have met him numerous times in small intimate settings early on in the campaign. He is a personable man, took notes as people discussed their concerns, his son was very polite and charming. Glenn offers up a mean (as in good) prayer, although someone busted him about his church being a very liberal one. He is a clean man and McAwful is a dirty man, the only way I know to describe it. As a person who despises Terry McAuliffe, my vote was easy.
Nothing would make me happier than for Terry to lose. He really blew it over the education comments, and the timing of the Loudon rape story couldn’t have come at a better time. People are angry. Everywhere I went today I saw Youngkin signs in the democrat areas, that gives me hope. Plus being a man of wealth Youngkin hasn’t had to spend all his time raising money like so many other candidates do.
I will not get started on VA’s GOP, other than to say I would love nothing more than for the slate to be wiped clean of them. They all live in a bubble and think they are the most important person in the room.
John Fredericks has been a member of The Virginia Club for years. By owning his own radio stations and granting candidates access to his airwaves, Fredericks has maintained his cache in Virginia politics in spite of going full MAGA in 2016.
It is a fact, told by Fredericks himself, that Romney Daniels did not leave her white wine spritzer until Fredericks completed all the hard work and set up the GOP grassroots voter fraud efforts himself. Only after Fredericks finished the hard, necessary work did Romney Daniles show her fat face. (can you imagine waking up to THAT every morning? the stuff of nightmares)
Apologies, there is no link to prove my assertions while retaining the info. Some words just stick with one.
As we’ve said for years, on a national/Presidential scale the solution for this urban-elite political dominance is a procedural Amendment XXVIII placing Electoral College votes on a County rather than State basis. Combined with long-overdue Legislative Branch term-limits, parasitic rentiers’ influence would dwindle in proportion to constituencies’ true interests.
No more than two short lines of text would do ‘er. Each word would set back Pelosi-Schumer and their Uniparty thugs by tens of billions.
I’ve long thought this was the only solution to the Philly nightmare. Would help in CA, WA, OR, and many others as well as deterring Austin from taking down the Great State of Texas.
“The Virginia Governor’s race is akin to two lovers debating whether Mercedes or BMW will be their next SUV….”
TOP NOTCH, SD!!
Rhona is a Romney fraud. Send them no money. Unsubscribe to any GOP email solicitation.
The DC area is financed by our tax dollars.
Reducing tax spending would bring these areas back to reality and off the government plantation.
Virginia is in need of a real awakening.
Hope it happens.
“Reducing tax spending”
Something that the Uniparty is unwilling to do. In fact, you might have heard spending is unheard of levels. Secession is the only path forward.
Great article- we live that same foolish loser “moderate – republican mentality” here in the western suburbs of Philadelphia as well.
You’re not allowed to challenge the Democrats on issues “they don’t like to be challenged on”. Many Republicans in our region use terms like “insurrection” for January 6th General Election protests.
WHY would you ever lay down your weapons (issues) at the enemy’s request…. Or use the enemies “chosen language” when discussing issues??
These people are fools, they’ve been taken in by the mainstream news media, they are not leaders in any way shape or form – AND most of them are just simply useful idiots about the political elites are using to continue to play their games while society & outs standard of living erode.
In WV, we are getting invaded by DC people. The building to house these entitled parasites is crazy. We have the Boarder Control, the ATF, the Coast Guard, FEMA, all within 10 miles of me. We have tons of telecommuting, and at 5 am the traffic speeding down my 30MPH road is like Indianapolis to get to the MARC. Cannot tell you how many animals we have lost because DC people do not understand speed limits and farming. You should see the soccer moms try to get a giant combine to go faster. These people are rude and entitled.
Quite insightful. I’ll admit to having chuckled at “There is almost no difference between an establishment Republican and an establishment Democrat in this region.” I have a good friend Mike who lives in NJ, who would be identified as a social and fiscal conservative almost anywhere. Discussing something his wife had said to him that I found kind of leftie he said, “well, she considers herself a republican although out there in Indiana she probably looks like a democrat.”
Blast It, Sundance!
As a Virginian, why must your words ring so true?!?
Regardless—
I refuse to be overlooked any longer, even when Youngkin wins. Accountability and Freedom are the new norms we DEMAND of our elected representative.
The Country Club is closed. Lines are now drawn. There is no more compromise.
Posting this morning in Telegram Election Audit accounts…
“My wife and I went for early voting in Virginia today, and something very disturbing happened.
“We were both told we couldn’t vote since we had requested and been sent absentee ballots. Since we had done nothing of the sort, we raised hell and they finally produced affidavits we could sign saying that we had lost the ballots we requested. We demanded affidavits saying that we had never requested absentee ballots and absentee ballots had never been received by us. We were told there was no such thing. We could either sign the affidavits saying we had lost the ballots we had requested or go home without voting. We signed.
“During the time we were there and engaged in this dispute, a matter of about fifteen minutes, I overheard THREE other people going through exactly the same thing.
“We live in a heavily Democrat-controlled precinct in a Democrat-controlled state in which the Republican candidate for governor is running even with the Democrat candidate. A not inconsiderable number of people in just one precinct during a very brief period of time were complaining that the voter rolls showed they had requested and received absentee ballots they did not request or receive.
“Are you getting the picture here?
“When the election process becomes an endemically corrupt process manipulated by the Democrat Party to retain power at all costs, we are finished as a free nation. It appears to me that has already happened”
We all need to move to Red States elect MAGA governors and nullify unconstitutional laws and edicts de facto ad hoc secession. Look we can’t live with commie liberals any longer or there will be blood.
Some truth here, but Virginia is not Arkansas. The snowflake contingent is very large in Northern Virginia and in Richmond; a little less so, but just a little, in the Tidewater. Consider the primary campaign of state senator Amanda Chase who at one point billed herself as “Trump in heels”. At the end she wasn’t close. There is a substantial Trump contingent in the Virginia electorate, but my suspicion is that Trump’s time has come and gone. In Virginia, and in the rest of the nation, the task now is to find a candidate who will adopt much of the Trump program without much of the Trump rhetoric. So far, I can see three who are possible: DeSantis, Pompeo, and Cotton – in that order. All the rest – Haley, Cruz, Rubio, Noem, Paul, and the rest of the crowd sending me requests for money will be left in the dust and would do well to cast their lot with one of the three. And as for the three, they need to look hard at which one of them is the best possibility to win in 2024 (and that means being able to attract Trump’s (and his supporters) support while not burning bridges with the never Trumpers and other skeptics and independants), swallow their egos, and bow out at the appropriate time – a tall order. It is crucial to win in 2022 AND in 2024. You can see how much damage the progressives have done to the nation since 2008 and how much it has accelerated since the 2020 election.
You may have noticed that I did not include Trump himself in the list of candidates. Trump was hugely consequential in driving the “me too, but not so much” mentality out of the Republican party and in pulling the camouflage off the “swamp” AND the “deep state”. He did his job, but now the train has left the station and he can no longer come out of left field and ambush them. Besides, although younger than I am, he is well into his seventies and regardless of age can only be a one term president. His tenure in office showed that it will take longer than that to unscrew the huge damage to our republic done by the Democrats over the past decade and a half.
We can talk, but good sentiments and intentions are not votes and votes are needed to win. Ask Trump.
