Lt. Col Scheller made a public Facebook post criticizing the insufferable decisions in Afghanistan that led to the deaths of 13 U.S. Marines. The primary issue was the closure of Bagram air base, which many have looked upon at the most brutally obvious strategic blunders in the Afghan exit. Within his remarks Scheller said:
“I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever. But I am saying, did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, ‘Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone’? Did anyone do that? And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, ‘We completely messed this up’?” WATCH BELOW:
Shortly after Lt. Col. Scheller posted this video he was removed from command. Despite the overwhelming agreement we share with his outlook, it is also true that compromising or questioning command leadership is a valid reason for removal. That’s why CTH was angered at the Pentagon failure to remove Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman after he questioned the Commander in Chief, President Trump. A brutal double standard.
In a follow-up Facebook post, Scheller noted he was relieved of command at 14:30 today.
He is now on the FBI terrorist watch list with us!!!!
I was assured by the Fifth Column Praetorian Guard Progda Enemedia that the U.S. Marine Corps was a hotbed of Neo-Nazis — so they were on the watch lists before us.
This is who I want on our side, Patriot with skills.
He should not be silenced period.
We need to see mass resignations of professional military officers.
Biden was installed, our Commander In Chief is a fraud.
yep, Let the FHoles own this whole shit hole mess. And then maybe those who actually SERVE THE CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT) will step up and start TAKING OUT THE TRASH!!!!!
THEY ARE NOT ALONE.
It’s almost as if leaving American civilian soon-to-be-hostaged-and-or-murdered citizens behind (while providing their future captor/assassins with those names) — as well as military weapons, vehicles, cash, and other equipment — not to mention the now-freed thousands of ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists formerly held at Bagram Air Base constitutes multiple counts of “giving aid and comfort to the enemy” or something.
I believe there’s a word for that … let me think.
Hmm. Can’t remember but it has something to do with trees.
Thoroughly Modern Milley approved! No doubt.
20th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and US Army General Mark Milley, along with his peers and subordinates, was far too preoccupied with his ‘Woke’ street-cred and too focused on addressing mythical “White Rage”, Improper Pronouns, Drag Queen Shows for the troops, and other various garden variety LGBTQ+ causes to notice that Afghanistan was about to crumble right before his very eyes until it was too late. All he can muster now, if you can actually find him, is an, ‘Aw shucks’.
Good ole Sgt Cartah…….Brings back some fond memories.
There is no Military Officer, Marine or other, that the insane generals at the Pentagon hate more than one who is sane.
“A time is coming when people will go mad, and when they meet someone who is not mad, they will turn to him and say, “you are out of your mind,” just because he is not like them.”–St. Benedict
“A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him , saying ‘You are mad; you are not like us.'”
– Saint Anthony
I stand corrected! My saints what they used to be.
Vindman was promoted yes, Vindman whose political statements led to the impeachment of a President.
NO, he wasn’t or he would still be serving…when you accept an advancement as an officer you agree to an extension of 3 years of service
Correction:
Whose politically motivated LIES were used as the basis for a pre-planned sham-peachment.
Thank you for making this more prominent, Sundance.
Stuart Scheller is a hero.
May God bless him and his family. We need truth tellers so much and he did this at a huge cost.
Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
We don’t need truth tellers those dime a dozen. We need riflemen putting fear in those who control us.
Somebody needs to tell the Marine that we may need his expertise and training in the next Continental Army and to prepare to fight this nation’s true enemies.
Of course the pay will be sketchy like was in the 1760s
Those that fought in the Revolutionary War had no Gurantees of anything better after the war
Forget sketchy pay they had no known framework of success and failure from a political standpoint
Now we KNOW the benefits of our Constitutional Republic!!!
Less than 20% of colonist supported our Revolution. If we get 10% supporting regime change, F15’s won’t stop us.
He’s making the very valid point that if it was strategically wrong to desert Bagram (which it obviously was), why did not ONE General or official stand firmly against Biden? If you have a company of yes men, your strategy will be riddled with errors because either you have a team of weak willed people or they are just stupid and have nothing to add. Our armed forces are doomed if they encourage leftist group think!
In other words, our armed forces are doomed.
In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. If his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
– Mark Twain
That is the truth. Look at Trump, he was a Patriot and he got hammered 24/7/365, but he never gave up.
DJT is a hero and a patriot in every sense of the words. I didn’t fully realize it in 2016, by 2020 he had proven it many times over. And continues to do so.
Timid is the word of the day.
I wonder what impact the forced vaccinations of our troops and the total incompetence of the current US military leadership as displayed in Bidenistan will have on the future recruitment of volunteers to join the US military? When the volunteer force drops to dangerously low levels (which might happen quickly), get ready for the Biden Regime to try to institute a draft, especially if we are on the verge of a conflict with China and/or Russia. Scary times lie ahead.
Could it be that Lt. Col. Scheller was not planning on getting the COVID vaccine, and would be discharged anyway?
If so, he went out with a bang – standing up for America.
So what? I won’t get another vaccine for any reason again. Their lies are endless.
China? We’re in the first stages of a final conflict with a corporate-state that doesn’t give a tinker’s dam about the US Constitution.
No. The Biden Regime will roll-over and ask for a United Nations Task Force to quell uppity Americans. The Left has been planning that for a long-long time.
Forced vaccination is designed to push patriots out of the military. To achieve that, they’ll gladly accept a trickle of woke freaks volunteering, further degrading our national defense. Hello China.
Honor and integrity. Thank you and G-d bless you, Lt. Col. Scheller.
This took alot of guts
BREAKING: https://www.yahoo.com/news/biden-vows-finish-kabul-evacuation-043350697.html
Opening paragraph:
The United States military struck back at the Islamic State on Saturday, bombing an IS member in Afghanistan less than 48 hours after a devastating suicide bombing claimed by the group killed as many as 169 Afghans and 13 American service members at the Kabul airport.
Questions:
If this is true, why one? As in, 1. As in, singular.
Is any of this even true, or propaganda to make the administration seem like they’re following through on their word?
If true, then if following through involves, one, as in 1, then what a complete joke.
Why one? Probably the only guy in the country who wore a MAGA hat.
The word of those who have repeatedly lied and ultimately caused the senseless deaths of patriots is sullied beyond repair. They could tell me it is raining, with raindrops and thunder around me, and I wouldn’t believe them. Everything they do is political. EVERYTHING! The faces of those slaughtered because of their incompetence/complicity should haunt them for the rest of their miserable lives.
Unfortunately, nothing will haunt them. They are evil, soulless, without pity or sympathy. We must rid our country of these traitors.
The target was a planner for ISIS-K.
Kind of like taking out Souleimani.
https://nypost.com/2021/08/27/us-airstrike-targets-islamic-state-member-in-afghanistan/
From what I’m reading (and who can even trust what they read anymore), I’m not so sure it can be compared to taking out Souleimani. Here are some excerpts from a report:
“…the U.S. military said it used a drone strike to kill a member of the Islamic State group’s Afghanistan affiliate Saturday.”
“…used a drone strike to kill a member of the Islamic State group’s Afghanistan affiliate Saturday.”
“…the drone strike was conducted in Nangahar province against an IS member believed to be involved in planning attacks against the United States in Kabul…”
“It wasn’t clear if the targeted individual was involved directly in the Thursday suicide blast outside the gates of the Kabul airport…”
But, no doubt, the fawning media will want to frame this as a very big deal. I’m not convinced it was. In normal times, I would say time will tell, but these days all bets are off if we ever get the truth, be it sooner or later.
I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).
He is an Officer and that is not the Officer’s oath. It’s the Enlisted oath. They are very different.
I remember as I took them both.
Marine Corps Officer Oath
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. Looks to me like Lt. Col Scheller is one of a very small number of commissioned officers who actually took their oath seriously. When I saw this, I thought, “A Marine, of course. Who else should I have expected to be leading the way?”
God bless him and the United States Marine Corps. Semper fidelis!
I’m surprised they didn’t relieve him of his sidearm and throw him a DC gulag.
Give them time.
Anybody who has ever been in the military knows anything from Lt. Col. Down they’re usually straight and good people.
They’re the ones that usually deal with the grunts. I trust them a whole lot more than anything from Col. above!
The ones above that never have to worry about dying.
That’s not true. We lost a Maj. Gen in Afghanistan in 2014. Major Gen Harold J Greene the highest ranking Officer in Combat in over 25 years at the time.
You just made my point, you said Greene was the highest ranking officer in 25 years to die. I would say that is some good odds.
Unless their desk tips over on them:-))))
“it is also true that compromising or questioning command leadership (one just can not put enough quote marks before and after this word) is a valid reason for removal. “
According to whom? Are the Generals at the Pentagon God? They obviously think they are, probably every single one of the, but they are not. Most of them are barely even men. I don’t care what they put in regulations, screw them.
From a purely outsider, not-at-all-military perspective… not being able to question blatantly stupid decisions from higher up the hierarchy – especially when the hierarchy is so blatantly stupid as Top Brass is right now – is, in and of itself, stupid. I mean, I understand why that policy would be in place in the military, but… Top Brass is getting unknown numbers of people killed with their stupidity, so questioning those stupid decisions are just as likely to help as cause further harm…
But, like I said, I’ve never been in the military so maybe I’ve got it all wrong.
It’s stupid to turn into an ambush and fire your weapon, yet it’s what must be done to break the ambush. You learn that by following orders and overcoming fear.
Just like the FBI culled experienced management and became political, so to has civilian management culled military warriors.
Your witnessing history. Stalin murdered his best military leaders before Hitler invaded Russia. It took two years to recover.
Rommel made the mistake of questioning Hitler.
Nope. Rommel made the mistake of not thrusting a pencil in Hitler throat when he knew in Africa his war was lost by incompetent leadership.
This is all great that he took a stand but this plays into their plan
He will be replaced by an ideologue
Obama purged a gazzillion mid rank officers that had solid combat experince from GW1 and GW2 when he came to office
Look at what that has become of the military now
His stand and five bucks gets him a latte at Starbucks.
They will put him in the DC jail- government savages
I’d be inclined to say that decisions leading to this are quite worthy of criticism:
https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/militarytechnologyalisha-taliban-biometric/2021/08/27/id/1034103/
“The latest and most advanced U.S. military technology is now in the hands of the Taliban. It’s being used to track and hunt Afghan allies. This has been confirmed directly by Taliban leaders, according to the New York Post.
“The Post reports that Taliban leaders are bragging about their newfound tools and putting them into immediate use. To that end, a new terrorist unit, Al Isha, has been formed specifically to hunt down Afghan targets who have assisted U.S. and allied forces in the region over the past 20 years.
“Haqqani, one of the brigade commanders of the Al Isha unit, bragged in an interview that his unit is using U.S.-made hand-held scanners to tap into a massive U.S.-built biometric database. This sophisticated technology can identify any person who helped the NATO allies or worked with Indian or American intelligence.”
Good thing the state department et al didn’t directly hand them tons of information on lots of people, right?
“The latest and most advanced U.S. military technology is now in the hands of the Taliban.”
If ragheads can’t run an airport most likely they can’t employ “advanced technology”?
I pray that he thinks about his family and starts a Give, Send, Go campaign. We need to take care of patriots like him.
He was featured on the War Room this morning. Eric Prince, who called in afterwards with his report about his efforts to exfiltrate people from Afghanistan, said to let the Lt. Col know that if he is let go because of this, Eric will make sure he has a job in the private sector that will make him more than whole. I think that’s how he put it.
When President Trump is back at the helm. This man should be made general for his courage to speak out.
Never gonna happen.
Recall if one election is stolen, all of they can be stolen.
Restoring election integrity is a pipe dream.
To be fair, he knew the outcome of this.
Right or wrong, there is a chain of command.
If this guy had done this to President Trump, we’d be pissed.
He’s right of course. And he’s pissed. Tough spot to be in.
Vindman and many others worked to undermine policy decisions. It seems the Lt.Col. here was questioning a tactical decision. I don’t know that it’s an apples to apples comparison.
No doubt.
But that doesn’t make it right.
When I saw this early this morning, I already knew the outcome.
Military history is filled with stupid leaders and military men needlessly sacrificing the lives of their men. Sometimes by the millions (see WWI).
I commend him for making a stand. But the outcome was predictable.
Look what happened to General Patton for speaking out against the Commander in Chief. He was run over and killed.
The CIA killed Patton.
Nope. Drunk US army truck drivers crashed into his staff car.
A soldier has a duty to question and or refuse unlawful orders.
President Trump is not a tyrant Commander in Chief.
Goofy Lt. Col. Vindman participated in a coup against a duly elected president.
See the difference? A quality leader such as Lt. Col. Scheller need not waste his talent where he is not appreciated.
Eric,
Of course you are correct that the outcome was predictable, and Lt. Col. Scheller stated as much. The leadership did what they had to do in such circumstances and they were right to do so. However, Lt. Col. Scheller was also right to do what he did, and I admire him greatly for having the courage and moral strength to do so since it is clear he knew what speaking out was going to cost him. He clearly believes in the old Latin motto, “Fiat justitia ruat coelum.”
I bet this man’s troops would have followed him to the gates of Hell and beyond.
Vindman= “Lt Col Fatass”
Policy is for pencils pushers. Light birds questioning Stars lands in over the mortar tube.
I believe he was pointing out that none of our supposedly unimpeachable military leaders are willing to risk their professional, material, political or personal comfort (safety) to do what’s right.
Implicit in this is that someone had to do it, and for some reason, he felt it fell to him. And as a follow on, he wanted to make the point as strongly as he could that while mid and low ranking leaders suffer immediate and harsh repercussion for violations or failures, no one at the highest reaches suffers anything for their failures.
Unlike Vindeman, he was willing to accept the repercussions for making a valid point embarrassing to our untouchable, uniformed members of the political class
I wouldn’t be pissed at all for questioning people who’s ideas are getting people killed.
If you believe Biden was installed through election fraud then normal rules don’t apply, this administration is a fraud. No one should obey their orders.
Not if President Trump had screwed up this bad. But then that is impossible.
He is right….. where is the accountability for 13 or maybe more of ours being shredded based on poor “leadership” decisions.
Yes he had to be relieved of command and he knows it but yes he is right. Good luck to “leadership” when they dont have anybody like this soldier to get their poor decisions done for them.
Marine.
There really should be many, many military who stand together to make these statements. One is easy pickings – too easy. Let’s see about 50 military guys do this. They might all be fired but think of the optics!
1
President Trump should make a list of Patriots for our future leaders of our military.
All the top leadership needs to go and that is all three letter agencies at this point.
We are behind you soldier.
So, if the Leadership is Compromised or Questionable, might they be relieved of command?
Questioning an irrational order is different from questioning an Unlawful order. I get that.
Lt. Col. Scheller rolled some big dice. He knew what was on the table. He’s paying the price for that.
What price will the Leadership pay for the blood on their hands from completely failing to secure their people, weapons, comms, ammo, aircraft, etc, that will empower and embolden the bad guys for decades to come?
As I am sure Sundance is well aware, lol, Col. David Hackworth did pretty much the same thing during the Vietnam War.
And I believe Col Hackworth wrote this about Afghanistan in 2003:
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/no-light-in-the-afghan-tunnel-david-hackworth.22680/
BREAKING — a U.S. drone strike has targeted #ISIS-K operatives in eastern #Afghanistan.
via
@idreesali114
https://mobile.twitter.com/Charles_Lister/status/1431428528612986881
The DOD says the drone strike hit “an” #ISIS planner — no indication of any link to the #Kabul airport attack.
Given strained intro resources, this sounds to me more like a target of known opportunity than a directed response to the #Kabul attack.
https://mobile.twitter.com/Charles_Lister/status/1431439700234051584
Which again raises the question as to why they couldn’t have told the whole gang over there to let a full extraction happen otherwise it would be drone strikes of them.
(Of course if they did that, there wouldn’t have been a “crisis“ in which six figures worth of supposed interpreters etc. could’ve been imported, no?)
It sounds to me like a lie the Biden Admin quickly cooked up.
Why does this drone attack on one guy sound very sketchy? I have a hard time believing anything this administration is saying.
I tip my hat to this brave Marine officer. He knew full well what would happen to him, but it was the only way to get this message out to the inept, ass kissing group of general officers that put politics before honor. Hopefully, others will follow suit in protest.
He is correct: by placing his vittles on the chopping block, he now has raised the stakes for the JCS.
Pointing out incompetence isn’t brave, it’s your job. The asshole who fired him should get crushed by the slimy rock he crawled under.
I’ll be honest I didn’t luke that he used social media. I agree with him completely but I didn’t like how he did it. His removal was justified IMO.
I didn’t like your conclusion…….
He knew it would happen.
He knew he would pay a price.
He knew you would hear it if he used social media.
He did you a favor.
You ought to unconditionally thank him.
You may take a position–like he did–by replying to your own comment with a concise approval without caveat.
Social media was his only option to speak about his frustrations
Booger,
It may not have been his only option, but it was the one which would bring the most attention to the problem. If I was sacrificing my career on the altar of principle, I’d damned well want to make sure as many people knew why I was doing it as possible.
As Sundance stated, double standard, which is the first thing I posted when I read his dismissal, and thought of the vindman debacle.
Trump/Scheller 2024!
One public statement at one point in time does not inherently qualify a man to be POTUS. And that is what you are suggesting, if you want him to be VP.
This was shared with me earlier today. I do not know if there is any truth to it…
ICYMI: Trump’s Pledge to Exit Afghanistan Was a Ruse, His Final SecDef Says
Chris Miller now says talk of a full withdrawal was a “play” to convince a Taliban-led government to keep U.S. counterterrorism forces.
By Patrick Tucker
18 Aug 2021
https://www.defenseone.com/policy/2021/08/trumps-pledge-exit-afghanistan-was-ruse-his-final-secdef-says/184660
And we will most likely NEVER know the truth.
Wasn’t Chris Miller the guy who specialized in clandestine and covert military operations?
Isn’t that why President Trump brought him in to lead the DIA along with Space Force?
Well…I don’t know much but I remember when I was a kid my Dad always reminded his kids: Believe nothing of what you hear and about half what you read…(paraphrasing..I was about 7 yrs. old…)and
That philosophy has always been my bedrock under circumstances such as this.
Only President Trump knows the truth and during a covert operation, he may evade the question or perhaps forget about the specifics…see how that works? During a clandestine operation, he doesn’t remember anything because it didn’t happen.
Chris Miller knows all about that, since he has a role to play in both cases.
Nonsense.
US kills Islamic State-K ‘planner’ in drone strike
Token gesture

The might as well have bombed an Aspirin Factory.
The ISIS-K Planner may have had a headache, stopped to get some aspirin at the factory and found that his virgins were raisins. Oh Well thems the breaks, such was life.
TRUTH!!! It stands tall, forever. Kudos to this great Marine!
An amazing display of intestinal fortitude, but at a high personal cost. He knew the ramifications of this and went with his true convictions.
BREAKING: US EMBASSY IN KABUL TELLS AMERICANS AT THE AIRPORT TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY
https://therightscoop.com/breaking-us-embassy-in-kabul-tells-americans-at-the-airport-to-leave-immediately/
I thought the TalleyBan was blocking the entrances?
And do what exactly?
Why. Are they going to allow another bomber access to kill more American Marines.
Hey, to all those posting snark. I’m just the messenger.
Sounds like another attack is imminent which is more horror beyond words. Our government isintentionally behaving at the mercy of jihadists and as a result, Americans (and others) are being killed. And that’s just for starters. The long view is has more devastation on the horizon.
But for now, I thought Treepers might want to know what was unfolding. And maybe in addition to shaking our fists at the sky, throwing up in the toilet, or balling our eyes out, say a prayer for our countrymen who are in this position. Yet again. As darkness descends, literally and figurtively.
Sarah, Thought that they (????) Welded the airport Gates shut this morning. So how could anyone get in or out.??
Just Saying
I get it. I understand. The situation is beyond a disaster and we don’t even know the half of what’s going on in that chaos that has been unfolding. By posting the link to this I wasn’t somehow acting as if it made sense to tell Americans to leave the airport. Obviously, this is absolutely insanity. But, Lordie, I surely do regret posting the link.
“CTH was angered at the Pentagon failure to remove Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman after he questioned the Commander in Chief, President Trump. A brutal double standard.”
Illustrating exactly why the Obama/Biden Syndicate was able to get these troops murdered with their terrorist allies.
God bless Lt. Col Stuart Scheller and protect him from evil forces who plot to harm him.
He refused to compromise his honor and integrity in the face of corruption and gross mismanagement by his COC superiors including Biden. Scheller is a role model for all.
I would gladly contribute to a fund set up for his legal expenses if he is harassed and bullied into financial difficulties.
There’s more bravery in those four minutes than in the entire Joint Chiefs.
Attention, Professional Liar-Media: This is what your much-vaunted “Speaking Truth to Power” really looks like.
Y’all should try it once in your miserable, boot-licking, ass-kissing, backstairs-crawling careers.
Steve Bannon played Scheller’s video on War Room this morning during the 10:00 hour (Scheller relieved of command at 2:30) – Steve had been told about the video by Erik Prince. Prince said Scheller should be a 4-star General rather than the ones we currently have. Prince had also gone to the time/trouble to find Scheller, talked to him by phone. Told him if the Marines “screwed him over”, that he (Prince) would make sure Scheller had a private sector job that would “make him whole”. I suspect that may have something to do with the “new light on the horizon” part of his statement. God speed, Lt. Col. Scheller.
So he’s free to run for office. He should consider it. We need people who give a fig about this country and her people.
33 yrs mil svc; 27 as Army officer. There is a significant difference between Vindeman’s attack on Trump, and Scheller’s calling out our failed military leadership.
First, Scheller’s attitude and delivery was open and professional. He hid nothing; made his pronouncement to all; and was strongly grounded in longstanding traditions of honor and self-sacrifice.
Second, he obviously knew, expected and agreed with the impending command reaction. His obvious anguish and frustration on the original video statement clearly shows his understanding of the consequences.
Third, he knowingly and unflinchingly made a real sacrifice — taking a hit like that at 17 yrs service could result in no retirement. At 18 yrs service, you are formally placed in Sanctuary. Prior to that, it’s much easier to out one out to pasture without a retirement. As I recall, at 18 yrs, only the service secretary can approve your removal.
Finally, Scheller’s action comports with a tradition selfless service — among the most laudable actions a military officer can undertake. He took one for the Corps — for whatever reason — because the actions of the leadership were and are so completely self-serving, out of line with traditionally acceptable behavior, and a dire threat to the culture, effectiveness and viability our once-great military forces. The rot is widespread and deep. This Marine knew it and at last could no longer accept silently the risk it posed to an organization and nation he loved.
There is no similarity whatsoever between LtCol Scheller’s actions — from start to finish, and those of the worm Vindeman. This latter fraud represents ALL that is wrong with the military officer corps.
Told his commander what’s on his mind, and the commander put him over the mortar tube.
Now if the entire chain of command placed their rank on the desk, that would be noteworthy.
Officers serve at the pleasure of the installed President.
NAVY ORDER — ‘You may not disrespect Biden, Kamala, Milley or Lloyd Austin’…
