My personal opinion is yes, it is far beyond time. Factually, I have supported a total 50 state nullification process since 2005 when I realized Wall Street was in full operational control over Washington DC. Once you accept that Globalists are writing U.S. legislation and laws; and once you accept they are paying DC politicians for the passage of those laws; then they are supporting politicians who will advance those laws by changing the judicial branch; then you begin to follow events to their logical conclusion, and the necessary cleaving of a freedom loving electorate becomes clear.
When you consider that Blue States and regions have been nullifying federal laws for decades (marijuana legalization, sanctuary cities, immigration policies, etc), the question arises about whether it is indeed time to complete the cleaving and for Red States to begin the same nullification process.
Ultimately and thankfully due to the wisdom of our founding fathers, this fail-safe approach is outlined within the constitution and applied through the tenth amendment.
Today, Steve Baldwin at American Thinker makes the argument the time is now for Red States to begin nullifying federal law by simply refusing to abide by the unconstitutional dictates of the federal government. [READ HERE] From my own perspective, in the final analysis, the constitutional nullification process has always been a source of hope and optimism.
We are a divided nation. Accept the division and act accordingly…. because we either ACT or we will be ACTED upon.
AMERICAN THINKER – […] states will be reluctant to invoke nullification but the alternative would be to watch our constitutional rights be trashed by leftists. The MAGA movement in the Red States needs to became active in urging legislators and governors to start reclaiming their constitutional powers and begin nullifying illegal Federal law.
Once states are engaged in nullifying federal laws, I believe we will witness what I call the “great migration” in which conservatives will leave blue states to live in red states and vice-versa. And yes, this could lead to a peaceful balkanization of America in which the Red states become redder and the Blue states become bluer, but this is not our fault. (CONTINUE READING)
Agree
But I am actually for TEXIT. I don’t believe anything can be saved at this time. It’s drastic measures time. Wait longer and they will take over Texas as well.
I agree whole heartedly!!
I mentioned TEXIT here recently and a couple of responses, apparently from TX, said it isn’t happening. One said they couldn’t even keep their power grid going. Well….that can be fixed if there is a will to do so.
Florida is a good bet I think.
We’re being overrun by immigrants from Mexico, NY, and CA.
Our grid was having problems over a decade ago because of this. We’ve never upgraded our baseline power production while adding millions of new (mostly Demonrat) residents. We’re in trouble.
There is a anti TEXIT movement that wants to discredit the idea of a TEXIT. They scour the internet trying to dissuade the idea. They always want to fill your head with negative thoughts. I would imagine some career uni-party politicians in Texas are behind this anti TEXIT movement, it would interfere with their cash cows. It’s alway follow the money. It will be on the ballot this year, many Texans want to secede.
I rather live without power than without liberty.
I wholeheartedly agree, I moved to the DFW area 17 years ago after living in Chicago for half a lifetime. Illinois is by and large conservative once you get out of the city.
Sadly Abbott isn’t the guy. He panders so heavily to the liberals he can’t get out of his own way long enough to lead. I never understand why these people don’t pander to the people who elected them.
No he isn’t.
And, as far as turning Texas blue…
Matthew McConaughey ‘seriously considering’ run for Texas governor
Democrat? Republican? Actor’s political party is not clear but his comments on gun violence and defunding the police shed light on his views
Matthew McConaughey has announced he is “seriously considering” a run for Texas governor, a year before the state election.
The actor revealed his intention on a recent episode of Crime Stoppers of Houston’s The Balanced Voice podcast on Wednesday. He told the host, Rania Mankarious, that running for governor was a “true consideration”.
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2021/mar/11/matthew-mcconaughey-texas-governor
That idiot actor is a gun banner. Don’t be fooled.
No fool here, but he is extremely popular and is a Texas son.
Are you sure you aren’t thinking of chad prather? I know of no one considering Matthew as governor material. He is on the Beto level in my county.
He is popular with the ladies. That’s all.
I never understood that. I always found him to be creepy.
He ‘d be a bad governor . I know Texas has better.
I agree. Abbott is a Bushie, as blue as they come while still calling himself a republican. He allowed Clay Jenkins (D) out of Dallas to squeeze him using the media which resulted in these horrendous covid mandates for an entire year. Cowardly RINO. Why should he pander to us, we aren’t filling his money bags. And now with a fresh crop of Democrats flooding our border we are going to change to blue soon. Not sure who exactly is working on voting fraud. So yes, grim time for us.
You think CJ was the only one squeezing Abbott? How about Dan Patrick — the original RINO. Please dont let him be the next Gov.
For those that did not know, Dan Patrick use to have a radio station in Tomball (KSEV).
back in the 90s and early 2000’s he would talk Texas politics a bit, he was very frustrated with it.
He decided to run for office. He is not swamp, but he is surrounded by swamp. So he has to appease them.
He was the first conservative radio host i ever listened to. I pray he still has his values.
Allen West will probably have something to say…soon.
I look forward to hearing from him.
Col. West has stated that he is in support of the referendum.

Time for a new governor.
I think that would be the natural outcome if the “great migration” proceeds as the AT author envisions. Break up several countries by region.
I believe Maine actually seceded from Massachusetts prior to formalizing it as a state as part of the Missouri Compromise.
IMO, Texas is ripe for the picking. They’ve allowed penetration of their border for years. Not as independent as I once believed.
You can’t stop CA and NY people from moving in. They’re as much of a problem for us here as people from Mexcio.
LEFTISTS by and large. We are now only R+5. Won’t be long…
Get rid of programmable ballot counting machines.
Texas will be northern Mexico long before that happens.
Northern mexico is as far north as south San Antonio.
Of as long as Abbott is the Governor.
Some people were suggesting red counties seceding from blue states to join red states. I’m not sure that’s possible.
The West Virginia option. West Virginia seceded from Virginia during the Civil War to join the Union.
They formed their own state and didn’t have to worry about power grids etc …. I don’t think they even considered becoming part of a neighboring state like Pennsylvania at the Wheeling Conventions.
Part of the problem with joining a neighboring state is that the infrastructure for power, water etc .. is provided by the current state. That was a major sticking point when some counties wanted to secede from Colorado when Colorado was legalizing pot (there were other issues). Also, the governor of Wyoming didn’t want anything to do with the matter when they floated the idea of becoming part of Wyoming.
So probably possible, but extremely difficult these days.
This is true in the case of Oregon and Washington states. The eastern parts, very conservative, want to join Idaho. The Liberals have destroyed western part those states (i.e., Portland, Seattle).
Sundance,I want to know how they do this, with this latest 1.9 trillion money bag comes all the strings. Even telling them what laws they can pass or no money. I think my front porch with a item is going to be the nullification.
Legislation to nullify. WY has legislation in the works to nullify covid mandates. Our state needs to now work on nullifying gun control laws. Think sanctuary cities & states.
Remember what happened when PDJT tried to cut federal funding to sanctuary states? The Marxists have already paved the way!
The Marxists are in charge now. If red states are going to start nullifying federal laws and EO’s (and they should), they need to be prepared to lose federal money.
In the long term it could be a good thing. The federal government would lose it’s leverage over a state.
Stop sending in that federal money and call a repeal of the 16th Amendment to starve the Beast.
Too bad the 16th and 17th Amendments can’t be nullified.
I’ll even say red districts in blue states should do this.
Is It Time for Red States To Start Using Their Power to Nullify Federal Law?
Is the Pope Catholic ?
whoops….Let me ask a different queston !
“Is a Frog’s arse watertight?”
I’ll be moving that’s for Sure….there is no hope for Oregon !
I’m here in Portland. It’s going to be hard because it’s such a beautiful state – but they’ve ruined it. Downtown is a war zone – how long before it comes to my neighborhood??
Or Virginia. Has been talk of southwestern Va. joining West Virginia.
Right now Va. is overrun with braindead liberal BLM loving New Yorkers and along with what ised to be conservative suburbs with really stupid middle class whites voting for Biden. Our state govt is gung ho on destroying all of our rights.
And McAuliffe is ruuning again for governor! Will it be Hillarys bagman or the black BLM guy accused of sexual assault?
I agree 100%. Need to whip our state legislators and govs into shape, or kick their sorry asses OUT!
Exactly, tell the federales and their ilk to pound sand.
It will take a new breed of representatives, that should be our push locally and statewide.
I’ve thought this the best interim solution for a long time. But, they (the uniparty) won’t take it lying down. I truly believe
they would send the military to re-educate us red staters. Maybe even nuke us.
Not gonna make changes without trouble. Better reconcile yourself to this fact.
The other day, as I was scrolling through the SC Legislature website looking for something else, I saw a Bill to Authorize and Encourage the State Attorney General to Fight HR1. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the text of the Bill itself, or even who introduced it, and ended up following circular links. If I knew who had introduced that bill I’d send them this article.
Rep. John Sarbanes introduced 1/4/2021
Thanks! Anyone is better than Sandy Senn, at this point. She’s useless.
We should start using the terms “Free State” & “Slave States” again – not just because it will drive the Leftisphere nuts (albeit a pretty short drive to begin with), but because it’s absolutely true.
That’s interesting…it points out the obvious that Blue states are slave states and that makes Dems perfectly consistent since the first Civil War, since they ARE the party of slavery.
Alternate view. Red states are going to pay for blue cities/states bailout.
Seems to me that makes us the slave states.
At this point in time red states are suffuering taxation without representation.
Even the people that were ellected to represent us don’t.
Even in Texas! “There’s nothing you can do about it!”
Despicable commentary by Al Green D-Houston.
LOVE this idea!
Excellent idea……
The left will go full tilt bozo……
love this. Re posting above here.
I have been calling where I live the Free State of Idaho since before Trump descended the elevator. Needless to say, I agree with this idea — but only for states that actually are free.
I believe its time for the honest and civil secession discussion.
Democrats and blue cities states do not like red staters and are bent on power control and inflicting misery and more taxation.
It is like a once-great relationship that has soured and its time to break it off.
Happily sadly but would it not be better for everyone? Why spend life in fierce opposition and disunity.
I agree. We cannot live together.
I do not believe we need to secede; but the left must be evicted from our communities.
The vast majority of conservatives simply want to live our lives, raise our children as we see fit, go to church and have our liberty. We need to reclaim the arts and tell our stories without the censorship from the left, learn and appreciate our history and the great men and women in our past, regardless of the mistakes they may have made or the clay feet they may have had. We need to have the unvarnished truth told regardless of which political spectrum benefits from it. Our laws need to be respected and upheld, our court system has to be reformed.
The left want to control everything and everyone and they tell lies in their effort to gain power. Raw power is what they lust for.
If we want to be able to enforce our laws, train our children properly and have a good life, the left must be evicted from our lives. We are incompatible.
In this divorce, they can have the kids, Swallwell and Lieu.
“When you consider that Blue States and regions have been nullifying federal laws for decades (marijuana legalization, sanctuary cities, immigration policies, etc)”
See last paragraph below:
Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens [Princeton University, 2014]
https://scholar.princeton.edu/sites/default/files/mgilens/files/gilens_and_page_2014_-testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf
Excerpts:
A great deal of empirical research speaks to the policy influence of one or another set of actors, but until recently it has not been possible to test these contrasting theoretical predictions against each other within a single statistical model. We report on an effort to do so, using a unique data set that includes measures of the key variables for 1,779 policy issues.
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.
In the United States, our findings indicate, the majority does not rule—at least not in the causal sense of actually determining policy outcomes.
When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites or with organized interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the U.S. political system [that describes the overwhelming influence of the administrative state and lobbyists – W], even when fairly large majorities of Americans favor policy change, they generally do not get it.
To be sure, this does not mean that ordinary citizens always lose out; they fairly often get the policies they favor, but only because those policies happen also to be preferred by the economically-elite citizens who wield the actual influence.
So, are the Red state nullifications going fit the requirement of the last paragraph? Honestly, if they did I’d have expected them to have already been done by now.
Let’s examine the factors behind the success of the Blue state and city nullifications given:
1. Marijuana legalization:
Federal forces against:
a. Federal law enforcement agencies
b. Private prison industry
c. Alcohol lobby [perhaps]
State forces for:
a. Voters [in some states].
b. MJ industry after huge profits.
c. State wanting tax receipts
2. Sanctuary cities:
Federal forces against:
a. Federal law enforcement agencies
b. Private prison industry
State and city forces for:
a. Voters [in some states and cities]
b. Politicians wanting votes.
c. Businesses wanting cheap labor
3. Immigration policies:
Federal forces against:
a. NONE – just lip service. Dims want cheap labor and votes, Reps want cheap labor.
b. Private prison industry
State forces for:
a. Politicians wanting votes, also being owned by Chamber of Commerce.
YES! Now. Time to find out if we have a functioning USSC or not. The States are the firewall to keep DC from breaching the Constitutional order.
The states are also a firewall against the Supreme Court. Right now we’re giving our consent to everything coming from congress and the Supreme Court. That needs to stop and our state leaders are where we need to focus our attention.
I think we know what the Supremes are about already.
“Today, Steve Baldwin at American Thinker makes the argument the time is now for Red States to begin nullifying federal law by simply refusing to abide by the unconstitutional dictates of the federal government”
Certainly worth a try. But be aware that Biden Inc would declare it to be Insurrection and send in the US Military to crush it. And the Pentagon would enthusiastically be all in especially if they get to smite Tucker Carlson in the process.
When a government wishes to deprive its citizens of freedom, and reduce them to slavery, it generally makes use of a standing army.
– Luther Martin, Maryland delegate to the Constitutional Convention
A standing army is one of the greatest mischief that can possibly happen. Without standing armies liberty can never be in danger, nor with large ones safe
-James Madison
There are instruments so dangerous to the rights of the nation, and which place them so totally at the mercy of their governors, that those governors, whether legislative or executive, should be restrained from keeping such instruments on foot, but in well-defined cases. Such an instrument is a standing army.
– Thomas Jefferson
In the days following the American Revolution, Jefferson became increasingly concerned about two tendencies he believed were intrinsically connected: the concentration of power in a centralized government, and the establishment of a standing army (especially a career class standing army)
I believe this tyrannical regime would try to crush the errant State financially first – withholding federal funds for Education, Medicare/Medicaid, Highways, etc…. They wouldn’t rush to do violence by the federal government on citizens first. They’d probably send in their Brownshirt, though – BLM, Antifa.
if States are doing OK financially, and have money in General Funds accounts, and maybe a state lottery, they could weather the financial government crackdown possibly.
I agree. The military wouldn’t be their first resort, but it would be the second if their first resort failed.
That would give the state time to prepare for that.
Yes, red states need to ignore the royal decrees from this foreign occupational regime. Red states also need to declare national guards as state militias quietly and join other states in some kind of protection pact. Without protection from out of control DC and their paid thugs we have no real power. Where does all power come from? The militia should be based on the Swiss model. All able bodied men must bear arms and be ready for duty.
So will red state residents still pay federal taxes?
The AT writer is living in lala land. Here in Virginia seeing a handful of people not wearing masks in stores and businesses– the other 7 million are obeying.
If millions of red state people stop filing and paying federal taxes, they will take all of your property, send you to jail, that is what they will send their IRS agents to do. Are you ready for that?
Biden would have to demand the Military smite the American rebels from the air. Because on the ground, any military would be at a distinct disadvantage because of the number of armed civilians/hunters/gun enthusiasts/vets, and generally pissed off people. This is specifically why they are targeting individuals, unConstitutionally, putting them in jail with no bail, and terrorizing their families, thanks to the traitors in the FIB (here’s looking at you Christopher Wray). They’re trying to scare the crap out of everybody so we’ll be compliant and obedient.
It did occur to me that something like a 9/11 could occur, targeting a “red area”, but with the full permission of President Xiden’s handlers (oh you know, Iran shooting off a nuclear weapon or terrorists getting the greenlight to drop a dirty bomb here and there). There’s no way a foreign power can touch our soil WITHOUT PERMISSION. That’s a fact.
The government is at war with its Citizens and the sooner people embrace that fact, the sooner we can take care of the problem, as the Lefties say, “by any means necessary” and with massive amounts of prayer.
My opinion.
“The government is at war with its Citizens”
Those 8 words pretty well sum it up.
It would make a good bumper sticker.
I have been very upset to see that Americans have tolerated:
And on an on and on. I never would have dreamed that Americans would put up with this….but as a whole that is what we’ve done. So far…
Its fair to say, our Founders, would be disgusted, and would chastise us all, for letting this get this far.
I don’t know what the red line is for most, but mine are 2 things.
Taking my guns. You try that, then you are a domestic enemy and will be given 0 quarter. Free Americans dont take other free Americans firearms, for any reason! Try it and see what happens Marxists! Not a statement, that is a promise. Cold dead hands, and I mean it.
Make it so my children and their children cannot feed themselves and the shelves are bare. Because of a Marxist and their insane policys.
You make it so that they cant eat, and they cant defend themselves, then you are not American, you are evil, and you deserve no quarter. That describes a Demorat/Marxist trash bag to a T.
In other words, they can try and enforce those insane laws, all by themselves. I dare em….
I agree…the guns are it.
Worked with a guy from Brazil who said once the guns were banned then only the criminals had guns – of course. The criminals would go into restaurants and order the diners to hand over all their valuables. My co-worker’s sister has enough money that she never leaves the house without bodyguards.
Banning guns worked real well …..for the criminals.
They won’t take your guns, but they may outlaw or highly tax ammunition. Without which the firearm is useless.
The skill of making ones own ammo is coveted.
Learn. Live.
It is because we are in uncharted water. Did you believe in your lifetime you would see the dissolution of the United States? I know I didn’t. I feel the solution will present itself in due time.
You are right…I cannot believe what is happening….almost as if we’re watching a movie that we know is too bizarre to ever happen in real life.
But the globalists have been plotting for a long time – we need our states to start fighting back NOW which will probably take a lot of us citizens putting big pressure on those we elected.
Totally agree big time!!
True. Rebels and ordinary citizens on the ground would mount one hell of a defense. Look at the tribes in the “stans”.
I remember when our troops were heading out to the first Iraq invasion our overpasses were clogged with people cheering them and flying American flags. If Biden’s handlers send in the military, those overpasses, and freeways, will be clogged with armed citizens. There are just too many ex-servicemen who pledged to uphold the constitution against domestic enemies.
If I can get my M14 back – sign me up.
The number of Red voters in the ranks outnumber the tranny/gays/soyboys by the order of 90 per cent to their 10 per cent. Even with the new insanity Xiden has unleashed, the majority of the trigger pullers are our sons and daughters or family members.
The guns would be turned at the Marxists.
The end.
“… Biden Inc would declare it to be Insurrection and send in the US Military to crush it.”
That would make for some stellar optics. I’m sure their (Fed) intention would be ‘to encourage the others’, but the others may get the message that the time has come to fight.
Your mileage, of course, may vary.
In Civil War One, VA, NC, and TN didn’t secede until after Lincoln called for volunteers to suppress the Confederacy and assigned them a quota.
Did you notice the map that was embedded in the article? There are more of us than there are of them.
The Great Migration has been underway for a year now. I live in Idaho. You can’t touch property here unless you have cash in hand and are willing to pay ridiculous prices. A little over a year ago, a 5 acre plot of developed land (i.e., power to the property line, etc) was about $50-75K. It is now around $125K. Homes where I live sell within 3 days of hitting the MLS. The same thing is happening in Tennessee. If there are over 40 Million residents of California and even a fraction of them want out, that’s a lot of people other states need to absorb. We have people coming in from all over the country. My neighbors are from Rhode Island! They are so happy and jubilant to be here, however, somewhat annoying. LOL.
Makes you think why they are pushing a “Covid Passport” within the country – trying to halt the Great Migration. Ain’t gonna work. People have had enough.
I sure hope your neighbors are Republican, and if not are you working on them. Now I assume your are a Idahoan,I am your neighbor in Meridian. Now track homes are starting at 450,000.
They are building new subdivisions in Houston suburbs. In the past year they have put in over 400 new homes surrounding just my subdivision and it is 90% sold and they are still building.
Happening in Florida as well.
You should see Lakewood Ranch. Most of them are from the Northeast. Changes ahead.
They are planning another Lakewood Ranch just off Clark.
Houses don’t stay on the market… cash buyers. House prices have doubled in barely six months. Our roads are crowded and they’re still coming.
My neighbor and his family moved to Idaho from blue Bay Area County to Idaho….because of taxes.
I’m all for nullification, but red states will need to find their missing backbone. Too many Red state legislatures gave away their election certification to secretary of state bureaucrats, held hearings into election fraud and illegal voting procedures, but did nothing to overturn it, let their governors, mayors, and county executives turn into dictators who issued covid edicts that had no basis in law while the legislatures sat on the sidelines.
See my comment below about Ohio: some state legislatures are trying to limit governors.
Let’s not be like Levin, constantly looking for middling legal solutions against a regime that regards the Constitution as toilet paper. We can’t have a “peaceful balkanization” where the other side constantly wants to take everything from us and leave us dead.
We need to jump ahead straight to secession or this will never end. Secede, form a separate country with other red states, and permanently guard our borders against the “United States.” A clean break.
States have been nullifying federal law for a long time. That’s how we got sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, Antifa riots and fraudulent elections. Of course, it’s time for red states to nullify federal laws.
Exactly.
I am all for secession. I live in the (mostly) free state of Florida. We might have to slice off Broward County though.
Try nullification first. If the SC says no, go for secession. We could set up a Trump/DeSantis ticket for our executive branch and tell Roberts and Co. to go fly a kite.
Do you think we can get DeSantis to call it quits on Covid and get him on this other more important matters in protecting us from DC? It just seems to me that the media and leftists have him constantly running around about this dam Covid BS.
“The States are separate and independent sovereigns. Sometimes they have to act like it.”
And it’s about time too.
Guys if you want a way to contact your state legislators and learn how to educate others on the local level about nullification, there is a page on the John Birch Society titled “Article VI Not V: What Is Article VI? : The John Birch Society” that can help with that. Here is the link https://jbs.org/6not5/
This is absolutely correct- we have no more choice in the matter. The Left/Stalinist/Commie/Dems are coming at us with a steamroller that seems to be unstoppable.
Readers who live in Blue Slave states like NY know just how unspeakably bad it’s gotten since last year when the Scamdemic was inflicted on us. We are STILL under many, many onerous restrictions even as I write this, with no end in sight.
My NY county is still majority Republican voters and President Trump carried it in both elections, but the balance is going to change soon because of all the NYC Commies moving here from that hell hole.
One of my neighboring towns in the county went from being majority conservative Red Republican to Dark Blue Dem in a matter of a few years. I look at the election stats from the last few elections including donations and it looks like the town is now about 75% registered Dems. And they donate mega bucks to all their candidates, local, state and federal.
Like Sundance says, the process has already begun. I don’t really understand if this is going to be a formal process or if it will just evolve naturally as it’s been doing.
Something’s gotta give. We cannot go on like this. There will be nothing left in a year or two. That being said, this is going to require a lot of boots on the ground, local action in every state. starting with our towns and villages.
OHIO currently has a RINO, Nanny-State governor named DeWine, who follows the unconstitutional over-reach of many DEM governors with freedom-killing ukases because of the stooopid Chinese virus.
Recently the Republican-majority legislature attempted – for the third time I believe – to rein in his unconstitutional actions with limits on emergency actions in the future.
He vetoed it, and will prevail, because with the support of every Communist DEM, the veto cannot be overridden.
So until Ohio boots him out and replaces him with a true Conservative, any talk of nullification here will be moot.
Getting rid of DeWine will have to wait for the next election because Ohio has no legal provision for a governor’s recall.
The Ohio GOPe has over 60 members in the House (64-35 advantage) and a 25-8 advantage in the Senate. There are more than enough Republicans to override Liddle Mikey DeRINO but they choose to not do it.
You need 60 Republicans in the House; we have 64. You need 20 Republicans in the Senate; we have 25.
A three-fifths vote (60%) of the members of the House and Senate is necessary to override the governor’s veto.
The numbers are there. They choose not to do it because the Ohio GOPe is littered with Big Business Bushies like Jay Hottinger who’s only there to do the bidding of Park National Bank and House Speaker Bob Cupp who’s a tool of one of the many lobbyists in Columbus including Kevin DeWine aka DeRINO.
Senate leader Larry Slobhof aka Obhof is really fat and wants to be on the Ohio Supreme Court where he can serve with Pat DeWine aka DeRINO. He could really push an override but won’t due to his career aspirations.
The one thing Ohio actually does well is run clean elections and that’s a big reason why Trump and Republicans win here.
Most Ohioans reflexively vote for the R but don’t know all of the inside politics and who’s a RINO and who isn’t.
The people here overwhelmingly support the America First agenda except for the Karen’s in the Columbus or Cleveland suburbs who will vote for the druggie space cadet Dr Amy Quackton (D-Yoga Studio) when she runs for the US Senate. Jane Timken may not have enough juice to beat Dr Quackton despite the solid red lean of Ohio.
Is It Time for Red States To Start Using Their Power to Nullify Federal Law?
YES!
The problem is if you refuse to uphold Federal laws, they will cut off your funding. For some states that will not be a problem but for those states that depend on Federal handouts, it could be devastating.
Think about it. Most of their funding goes to entitlements. No money, the people who get entitlements leave. Big problem solved.
THIS!
I also imagine that folks who rely on SSI/Medicare & probably government pensions would be in a world of hurt. States would need to get creative in order to help pay for all of the “perks” the gov’t allows us. Someone above suggested statewide lotteries to help subsidize things like healthcare, infrastructure, central bank (we’d need new currency) within the NEW state.
We certainly can take care of our people that used to get Fed money. Remember we will keep our money in our states.
and who are the states that get the lion’s share of the federal money? Red states support blue states.
The left nullifies everything they don’t like. Laws on the book are ignored. Non existent laws are enforced. The Supreme Court invents meanings without any connection to the written constitution. Any tactic used by the left is by definition sanctioned for use against the left.
This forces the left to get to their inevitable end stage of “power through the barrel of a gun” but does so without first confiscating all private arms. It forces them to send the military to attack US citizens. They can try to use federal tax policy but that can be countered by the state also nullifying the IRS. They can’t hold back what they didn’t first extract.
The main thing is, this must be done together. No single red state can act alone but even a handful of states have the resources to go against the central government when acting together. This may trigger a constitutional convention but I have no problem with that given where the left has driven us.
And of course. Lest you need ask. The Republicans will be absolutely opposed to this and support violent action against anyone who does.
This is one the the best ideas of the year.
Not being an American, I cannot speak to as how popular or even possible such suggestion could be achieved, but my gut instinct tells me that since this is an international “event” (sometimes people forget), there is no way in hell the globalists will easily allow powerful states to claw back what should be theirs in the first place (again we forget), lest God forbid, other reasonably powerful states/provinces all over the world decide the same. They just cannot allow that to happen. Of course that doesn’t mean it CANT happen, and even stand a damn good chance if they dared (domino), but they sure as hell will do/try everything to prevent it happening.
Great points. You’d essentially be going up against the rest of the entire world. That’s a mighty steep hill to climb.
Or it could spark a global populist revolution.
That would be glorious.
It’s time for this discussion, and, yes, even the time to seriously address the fragmentation of the country. It’s one way or the other…we’re facing either a nasty divorce or a civil war. Those holding onto the the pipe dream of winning rigged future elections with the prospect of millions of invading illegal voters are delusional at best.
Our Gov Lee of TN has been pretty good thru all the CV pandemic panic porn. No matter how many trips the scarf lady (birx) made here SCREECHING and DEMANDING he close ALL Bars, etc, he refused. He stood fast against a Statewide mandate after the initial scare and opened the State. The ONLY masked/closed areas of the State are basically the ultrablue liberal Cities of Nashville and Memphis.
I cant imagine our Gov and our SuperMajority RED Legislature would go along with some of the nonsense coming from the biden admin. We are flush with $$ across this State due to good management for years and can weather anything the Feds try to rain down on us.
Remember, we have already been down this road once–and we learned. Good luck “enforcing” anything on TN we dont want in the future. Those days are OVER
Blackburn needs to go. How she handled the certification farce was incomprehensible.
In answer to the leading question, if they’re not in the process of doing it now, they’re late to the party. One of the beauties of our crumbling, yet still extant, federal system is that the states have a lot of suppressed power to influence the direction of national events, should they grow the backbone to do so.
I’d be out the door and out of the state of Ohio in a heartbeat for the state of Florida in a heartbeat but how do you deal with a spouse who just won’t believe it is going to get as bad as I’m certain it will be.
“… how do you deal with a spouse….”
Let her shovel the driveway for a change. Florida will start looking pretty good.
You can also remind her about no State income taxes in Florida.
Hehe…yeah that should fix it…lol
That’s a tough one, I sympathize. If she spends more time in Florida maybe the contrast will help.
Irreconcilable differences.
“because we either ACT or we will be ACTED upon”
Well we being acted upon NOW. Nulling our voice, stealing our vote, confiscating our work, violating our worship. opening our borders, and using political lawfare to silence opponents.
It’s not Blue states but Federal government. Lincoln is a great parallel by using slave states export revenue to fund northern transportation schemes leading to civil war. Lincoln sacrificed 600 American lives to forever crush any thoughts of separation.
Feds are shoving 1.9 trillion for blue state bail outs requiring red states to pay for their malfeasance. As long as states feed at the federal trough there will be no rebellion.

“The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’.
They try, so very hard to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love.
They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it.
They know the moment they fight back, the lives as they have lived them, are over.
The moment the ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’ are forced to fight back, it is a small form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be.
Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these ‘Men who wanted to be left Alone’, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives.
They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror.
TRUE TERROR will arrive at the Left’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy, but it will fall upon deaf ears.”
Best post I’ve seen all day!
So true and poignant.
They poke the tiger, over and over, they ridicule, threaten and puff up their chests in defiance of truth, logic and fairness. They mock us, our God and take more than they need.
The tiger takes it over and over and over……until he does not.
THEN…….then, the Marxist trash will understand, they have made a grave error in judgement. A man with nothing to lose is the most dangerous game on our planet. They dont get it…..
True words and slowly working towards the day.
wow. You kill my former life and self……and expect me to bow to you…..?…….Not going to happen. You get the maelstrom!
B R A V O!!
Unfortunately the time as long past when the left will meet anyone halfway. Like China they are building to conquer. Countries have divided and become better for it. We’re not taking about leaving to join another country. We are talking about joining like minded states. United States of Red (just a name, not a suggestion) can be done. Those that want to be ruled by DC let them make that decision by citizen votes. Those who want another government ruled by another set let them do likewise. We’re not dividing per se. We’re uniting at a lower number.
as a Brit and neutral observer I thik this could actually happen (Secession).
US and UK are alike in many ways.
The major population centres in UK (London and Manchester) are the richest and globalist whereas rest of country is Nationalist and voted Brexit.
Same in USA (NY and LA primarily) are globalist.
Unfortunately the rich control political, financial and media and cannot be overcome without extreme effort.even when they lose they re-exert control(hence your Big Steal).
I could see most US States seceding to leave 3 countries
1. Real America
2. West America( CA etc)
3. New York +DC
It would be VERY messy though.
Lost of trade and currency issues to resolve.
Your society is so fractured though the only alternative is to ignore Biden admin completely(as fake) or a hot civil war.
Even in blue states it is always just one big city that makes the whole state blue. Chicago, Illinois ; Portland, Oregon; NY, NY etc. Wyoming has as many senators as do Texas and California. The nation has an electoral college to spread out the power so that it is not just New York city and Los Angeles running the country and no one else has a look in.
Suppose all the counties of every state had some say in that state’s elections. Is there not some way to wrest total power from these huge city states?
merrie…make no mistake NY and CA control the USA. Thats where Wall St and te MEdia and Big Tech live. And they control the USA thru money and propaganda. If USA could dump those two states it would be a happy unified and phenomenal country.
There was a great article by a New Zealander, Trevor Loudon, on March 4 at Epoch Times (but can be seen on Outline.com if you don’t have a subscription). It had the best ideas for state to organize and other ideas for resistance that I’ve seen.
For the president, the states with big city blue anchors could chg the electoral college from winner take all to apportionament by congressional district
Is It Time for Red States To Start Using Their Power to Nullify Federal Law? Yes, certain “Blue” cities, counties and states declared themselves “sanctuaries” for certain laws they did not wish to enforce. So now it is time also for any state to realize they have influence.
The real question is why did it not happen earlier: The Warren Court’s Legislation from the bench, Engel v. Vitale (1962) and Abington School District v. Schempp (1963) or Murray v. Curlett (1963). Or the Burger Court’s humdinger Roe v. Wade (1973).

This could be the best way to keep Dem voters out of the State.
Nullify everything. Nullify their court system. No convictions. Non compliance on all laws we dont like. If blue states can nullify Fed law then certainly we can as well. With respect to Federal law and the courts, Andrew Jackson was right. And remember the states created the Federal govt, not the other way round. It would just be the States reclaiming their rightful powers. Trying to reform the Federal government is not the answer, making it irrelevant IS.
Related is states’ power to defend from invasion. The governors need to exercise their power and not just stand by meekly.

Ya think??
Yes, it is time.
Just so happens I called my state representative and Senator yesterday here in Texas and told them the exact same thing. Along with getting rid of these electronic voting machines, building more gas power plants and to finish the wall. I told them we are at war with the leftist because as soon as they open their eyes in the morning they are trying to figure out to flip Texas. Weak rino Abbott needs to go.

A related issue is how to keep people fleeing blue states from poisoning the red states with their politics. Not the hardcore, but the ones who can’t make the connection between their politics and their conditions. This sounds terrible (and not legal) but if there was a way to sort them out they should forced to stay in the blue and live with the consequences. And I’m typing this from Illinois!
We need some citizen organizing in each red state so we can all at one time put pressure on our governors and legislators to start taking action on all this unconstitutional BS and running immigration. How many have already come into Florida since Biden took office?

Now you’re cookin’ with gas Sundance!
From time to time I like to imagine a reverse migration so to speak.
California is so beautiful and is being squandered. I’m happy where I am, landlocked. Just fun to think of an invasion by conservatives into California.
Alas, what happens is the reverse.
Blue staters move to red states because they want freedom from micro management and opportunity, but they would never vote for it in California for example.
Weird but true.
They bring their politics with them…marijuana legalisation, sanctuary cities, immigration policies, firearms….
You need to understand, they think we are immoral and need their rules to correct that immorality.
can someone explain the path that money takes to get from the company I work for (my withholding) to the federal government. I think if some of us understood the path we maybe could put up roadblocks.
