While I agree with everything you said, my concern is that so many of Trump’s supporters will finally say the hell with everything. I forget how many millions of people Trump drew in that had never voted before because they felt it was useless. Then they go out and vote and low and behold the election was stolen from them. I fear they go back into hiding again. Trump and only Trump can lead us out of this. And we have to get heavily involved in State and local politics down to the school board level. Dutchman, I agreed with you about the republicans. I’ve known it was a convivial Uniparty for a long time. I also knew the republican leaders in congress hated Trump and wanted him gone. What has surprised me is how deeply they were involved in getting read of him, but I caught on pretty quickly.
We all learned a great deal about the people we put in office to represent us. I don’t think there are more than about a dozen worth our votes. The republican caucus in the house & senate elect their leaders. My republican senators voted for Mitch McConnell, therefore I won’t be voting unless there is a primary.
The democrats controlled the house and pretty much the senate when they were in the minority. The republicans didn’t bother to run things except for confirming judges when they were in control.
I’ve been listening to a pastor on-line who has repeatedly preached that it’s the apostate Church and apostate Christians who are responsible for the state of our nation. He said the Church will always lead a nation. As goes the Church so goes the nation. The Church has watered down the gospel for decades and become secular in the pulpit and the pews. So too has the nation then moved farther and farther left and into depravity.
He said President Trump (who he fully supports) was not our spiritual leader. That’s the Church’s place and it has failed.
I couldn’t agree with him more. So many lukewarm, secular ‘Christians” voted for a heather, Biden, rather than a Christian who glorified God throughout his 4 years in office. They still voted for Biden.
The Church, pastors, many Church leaders and parishioners have secularized their faith.

I think people need to journal or write out how great he was as our president. I think that the current generation has taken us from a society that values free speech to a cancel culture that values comfort over everything else.
The school failure goes back farther than that. In the 1950s, “Why Johnny Can’t Read” was a controversial bestseller. The author, an immigrant from Austria, noticed that the teacher of his grandson taught English as if they were teaching Chinese — whole words instead of phonics. Result: His grandson had great difficulty reading and the author had to teach his grandson, himself. The book outlined how and why he did that.

Not sure most people know this, but a lot of school districts dont teach handwriting any longer. Now, if you know anything about how the brain works, handwriting is a big precursor to all the other learning. The brain is growing at a rapid pace at this age (typically elementary school age) and skipping different building blocks just weakens the kid. Can you run before you walk? No.. Can you do geometry before you learn the basics? No… and that is just one way they are dumbing down our kids.

More and more I’m convinced that the only way is to work at the local, county and state level against Federal power. These people have to be peacefully resisted by local sheriffs, local pols, etc. These people can be influenced to resist because they’re closer to us. Wasting time on DC is exactly that, wasting time. Biden and his swamp buddies can do little id they get no compliance. Yes, it may be the long way around but I see it as the only way.
Yes, they will do everything they can to suppress our voices. They know we know they are illegitimate and they cheated. They can’t afford to let it all go. He won’t run again but if he did, he would not win. He won his last election with 49% of the vote. Trump got 66% in his state. Manchin won his by a similar slim margin also. His co-senator, a republican, just won with 70%. Trump won 67% or so in their state. The Wyoming GOP Chair said last week that Liz Cheney now could not get elected for dog catcher in that state. I see possibilities either way, but will go with Trump whichever he decides. He is a winner.

So, I would say that the circle of actual freedom in this nation is quite small.
And any effort toward self reliance is at least a TAKING of some freedom for the self.
You must take your freedom. And that means avoiding entanglements with the government as much as possible.
I look at no-go areas where Muslims live. These communities have taken their freedom.
Withdraw is a strategy that might work to some extent for some of us.
But the circle is always tightening, the range of our actions and choices is always diminishing, as regulations grow and grow.

President Trump’s attorney, Jenna Ellis, is part of a team who has represented Pastor John MacArthur’s Grace Church in court since August 2020. The church has resisted the shut down orders and has been paying fines of more than $500 per instance of holding services. They have filed civil cases against the city of Los Angeles and California over draconian Coronavirus restrictions. The Supreme Court not only ruled in their favor but last week, the judge cancelled all future hearings and told city and state officials to go pound sand. The church was declared “essential” and because of this, they can hold their yearly conferences in 2021 and the local hotels can serve all attendees.
Throughout this entire pandemic and civil rights struggle, the church saw a growth of more than 1000 new converts. God is alive and working right there in the cultural cesspool of Los Angeles—even during a pandemic and a dangerous political environment.
I haven’t found any news articles about this but MacArthur lays it all out in his sermon this past Sunday. It gave me such clarity and hope.

I heard Pastor MacArthur’s ‘s talk last Sunday. It was so beautiful. The growth, the wonderful things God has done throughout all this. If ever there is a man with clarity is Dr. MacArthur.

I’m done with politics. Even if we could overcome future cheating, which will now be institutionalized, the Repubs have lost their base. Its over.

Buy local as much as you can. Eat in local restaurants. We will need strong local economies in the fight against communism.
Start calling Amazon, Apple, Kohl’s, etc and demand they stay out of politics.
I agree and do avoid those places but we also need a specific post created just for a specific call to action/purpose. Maybe for one of the actions you mentioned. Multiple at the same time. We can all check back in with status etc with ground reports.
I assume you saw that short list of companies supporting BLM/Terrorism? I called companies on that list. “Bank of America” got so triggered they locked me out of my account with my money in it.

which leads to a question for ad rem – what is the proper/maximum size for image posting in the forum? Large images are not only difficult to see, they can be slow to load and use up a bandwidth.
I’ve found that 500 pixels is usually the maximum. However, it also depends on where the comment will be posted…how deeply “nested” it will be.

Ad rem, a workaround is just to let the oversize photo stay and people can right-click it and open in new tab, where they can see the whole thing
That lets people still have access to the photo rather than it not being available at all if you remove it
