The New York Times is reporting today on a Friday night visit between President Trump and lawyer Sidney Powell. According to the Times President Trump’s legal counsel Rudy Giuliani was present via phone conference and White House counsel Pat A. Cipollone represented the office of the President.
There are essentially a few competing approaches still being provided to President Trump for consideration as the White House awaits an important report from Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, on what the DNI has affirmed was “foreign interference in the 2020 election.”
Rudy Giuliani and several members of the formal legal team seem to prefer President Trump using executive order #13848 upon, and as an outcome of, formal findings represented by DNI John Ratcliffe.
Use of that specific XO would make sense as the direct purpose of the 2018 order was targeted toward foreign interference. However, there is no specific information known as to which executive agency would carry out any authority if the issues directly highlight domestic election infrastructure targeting.
The Times reports “[p]art of the White House meeting on Friday night was a discussion about an executive order to take control of voting machines to examine them, according to one of the people briefed.” However legal advisors to the office of president are unsure if DHS would have authority to impound Dominion ballot machines. The 2018 executive order would seem to indicate that any office directed by the White House would have authority. This avenue would obviously depend on the DNI final report.
Ms. Powell has two lawsuits in the docket of the high court; however, as each day passes it seems the ability to confront known election fraud evidence becomes more challenging. It is likely Powell is recommending a more forceful approach by the executive branch that will support the lawsuits underway by her outside group.
NEW YORK TIMES – President Trump on Friday discussed making Sidney Powell, who as a lawyer for his campaign team unleashed a series of conspiracy theories about a Venezuelan plot to rig voting machines in the United States, a special counsel investigating voter fraud, according to two people briefed on the discussion.
It was unclear if Mr. Trump will move ahead with such a plan.
Most of his advisers opposed the idea, two of the people briefed on the discussion said, including Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, who in recent days sought to have the Department of Homeland Security join the campaign’s efforts to overturn Mr. Trump’s loss in the election.
Mr. Giuliani joined the discussion by phone, while Ms. Powell was at the White House for a meeting that became raucous at times, according to one of the people briefed on what took place. Other administration officials drifted in and out of the meeting, two of the people briefed said, and the White House counsel, Pat A. Cipollone, pushed back on the ideas being proposed.

This is all getting a little weird. Team Sidney seems to want acquire more evidence and using the powers of the President to get it. I would prefer that they already have the evidence. Have an exact count of the fraudulent votes. Have an exact revised election total. And then the President can make his case to the people and state legislatures that revised totals must be certified. I still haven’t heard any Kraken stuff yet. The Dominion stuff seems a bit of a rabbit hole. Federal law requires 22 month retention of ALL election materials. That would include the data on the machines. IMO, a wiped hard drive is prima fascia evidence of fraud.

Add together the above methods (I’m sure there are more) to the manufactured mail-in ballots, the out of state voters, the double voters (MIB + in person), the dead voters’ participation, the no legal address voters, the non-citizen voters, and all the other ways and means seized upon by the UniParty Election Theft Collusion Team, and you generate yet another endless source of ballot manipulation available for execution of the desired outcome. Actually Dominion has proven to be able to steal hundreds of thousands of votes, if not millions. In a matter of National Security, The President has almost unlimited power in assuring the citizenry of a secure and correct tally of votes in a Federal election, and can order the voting machines seized and inspected.

Using a report by the NYT as a source has no credibility, anymore than the zero credibility that the DOJ and FBI has with the American people, as Sundance noted, but I am surprised that Sundance would use the NYT for source of quotes or reports, other than the fact that Sidney Powell met with the President in the WH. That would be the only fact I would rely on in this case.
Anything else that the NYT reported is either fake or speculation. I do agree with Sundance that Trump has an important decision to make and at least half of Americans are waiting to see what that major decision will be. It could be anywhere between submission to outright civil disobedience or insurrection, war, or secession.

Time is short for action. Action by Congress on Jan 6 is doubtful; the challenge will proceed and the two houses will debate for two hours and then continue on to declare Beijing Biden the winner. What remains to be seen is what will PDJT do, what actions will he take to upend this farce?
On a positive note is that this reporting is by the NYT, which means it is full of anti-Trump spin.
The idea of appointing Sidney Powell as Special Counsel to investigate the election is a waste of talent; far better, after winning the battle and getting sworn in, would be to nominate her as the new Attorney General to clean house at the DOJ.
In the meantime, prayer for Trump’s guidance and strength is needed as much as inundating Congress with demand for justice.

Giuliani said he spent most of the evening in the Oval Office “with colleagues.” Suspect SP was one of the colleagues. He also said that he has a “big project” working in GA right now that Kemp knows nothing about.

I am thinking of those international leaders who have had a serious dislike of President Trump yet who refused to test him. I think those players will easily try to test Biden and his team of Obama-Mao retreads, in various ways.
I think Biden’s game plan will collapse in that when his masters tell him what to do, he will come before the cameras and really flub things so badly that we viewers (I might have the sound heard, I hope I don’t look at my screen to see his lying face!) will recoil in horror as to who is our president.
