Most CTH readers are likely aware of the term “deplatforming.” Unfortunately, the big tech control mechanism to shut down speech & assembly has now arrived on our doorstep.
One week after the 2020 presidential election, The Conservative Treehouse received the following notification:
…”given the incompatibility between your site’s content and our terms, you need to find a new hosting provider and must migrate the site by Wednesday, December 2nd.
What does this mean? It means CTH is being kicked-off the WordPress website hosting platform because the content of our research and discussion does not align with the ideology of those who define what is acceptable speech and what is not.
What was our violation? After ten years of brutally honest discussion, opinion, deep research and crowdsourcing work -with undeniable citations on the events we outline- there is no cited violation of any term of service because CTH has never violated one.
The WordPress company is not explaining the reason for deplatforming because there is no justifiable reason for it. At the same time, they are bold in their position. Perhaps this is the most alarming part; and everyone should pay attention. They don’t care.
Truthful assembly is now the risk. CTH is now too big; with a site reach of 500,000 to a million unique readers each day; and with well over 200,000 subscribers; our assembly is too large, too influential, and presents a risk… we guard the flickering flame.
Ten years of work assembling a library of factual citations and explanations of those discoveries, positions CTH to be a leading force in the rebel alliance push-back. [Heck, that’s why this place was started… that was our purpose: “The Truth Has No Agenda.”] However, that also makes us a target; hence the deplatforming.
Accepting -at its core- this move is all about politics, this is yet another reference point in the tenuous nature of where we stand. There’s no hate-speech on this website; there’s no graphic, violent, foul or abusive speech here. The ‘content‘ of the Treehouse is the same discussion that happens around your kitchen table or back porch discussion with friends. We would never cheapen or insult that conversation with vulgarity because that’s not who we are… because that’s not who our nation is. So consider this next part very carefully…
The ‘content’ is not compatible with WordPress, the world’s largest website and blog hosting service. The content within the largest blog on that global platform is what has become troublesome. “The content”.
The content on these pages is simply an ongoing discussion about freedom with criticism against any political party or entity that diminishes it. Apparently, immediately after the 2020 election, that discussion became problematic. After writing about the COVID-19 agenda,…the notification: the website will be removed.
Let that settle in…. friends and adversaries alike. Think very hard about what exactly is being represented by these actions. That’s the bad news.
So what are we going to do?
First three priorities: #1 is the security of the site content and research files with over a decade of work; #2) ensuring the ability of our assembly to remain; #3) continue the mission.
In the past several days I have begun contacting people to inform and gather counsel on what is the best course of action. On a very positive note, the Rebel Alliance is stronger than ever and no amount of effort by Big Tech is going to be able to weaken the resolve or block the message.
We will take this challenge head-on and we will use this attack against our freedom as fuel to launch CTH 2.0, a new version of The Conservative Treehouse.
I have no idea yet what it will look like… hopefully not too dissimilar to what we are already comfortable with. However, a lot has changed in the technological world since 2010/2011. There are many new and innovative ways to develop, build and create proprietary platforms.
I don’t like anything about having to be forced to do this. Readers here know I prefer comfortable quality that lasts a long time; but there is no alternative. We are being kicked-off WordPress and will have to assemble on a platform that allows free expression, free thought and free ideas to be shared, valued and appreciated.
Additionally, as I look at preliminary options for Treehouse 2.0, one guiding element is priority: I will continue to work earnestly to be deserving of your support and fellowship.

I think that wordpress is free and open source software which can be used by anyone who wants to (and is able to) run a web server to host his own blog. I don’t believe it is subject to anyone’s political whims about what can or cannot be published.
In distinction, WordPress.com, a for-profit business, runs a hosted version of the free wordpress software. I believe these are the people that CTH ran afoul of.
I can think of at least one dissident political blog in the US that runs self-hosted wordpress software on its own server. Even though there is a lot on this blog to irritate lefties, I don’t think anyone has managed to shut it down — or is even in a position to do so.
Might be worth looking into.
WordPress the software is free and open source. An independent blogger can write their own HTML, but CMS systems like WP give a lot of features like cross browser compatibility, theming, etc that make a system like this super easy to use.
WordPress.com the hosting service is a commercial entity that set ups WordPress software with site hosting, and gives customization features above the base software. That is $5k/mo for large communities.
So, you can set up your own domain, and use someone else to web host a WP install, but almost everyone (GoDaddy, ArVixe, Etc) are still providing a server somewhere, so you abide by their terms of service. No one wants to go up against Democrat Fascism, so you are at risk for further deplatforming.
An independent entity running self-admin servers also takes in all the hosting liability… denial of service attacks, hackers, etc. and still has to connect through another party, even if it’s Verizon, Level Three, etc. so the costs can go way up.
Have WordPress put in writing the ‘terms’ you have suposedly violated and then sue their ass London and slow.

This is unacceptable. The same thing happened to GAB so don’t go looking to Azure (Microsoft). Reach out to Andrew Torba at GAB. He may have some advice or ar least direct you to his new platform provider.
It’s sad when a company whose business model is based on hosting content starts picking and choosing what it believes is acceptable content. I’m worried that this will ultimately bleed over into the ISP space. Maybe Comcast will decide they don’t like the sites that it’s customers visits. Will they start blocking? Will DNS registrars stop publishing your name? As “hate” speech becomes codified as law in countries outside of the United States, will that be the excuse a U.S. company needs eliminate free speech from there business model?
I’m looking forward to reading your content on the next platform. Make sure you add links for donation using crypto currency. Payment providers are refusing to allow free speech content creators to accept donations or payment for the same reason.

I agree with jane. I also do not have a FB account, nor a Twitter account, or any of the other types. But CTH Admin has all of our email addresses, and doing blast emails for the interim can work for SD’s outreach, investigative summaries, and updates.
It will be a sad inconvenience to do without everyone’s comments for the time being, but it’s a far smaller price to pay than if CTH were to disappear: a victim of the threatened recision of our Bill of Rights. And I know, without any doubt, that General Sundance and his trusted Officers will not allow this to occur.

After quickly reading their terms of service, (wordpress.com/tos), I see no valid reason for “deplatforming.” Matthew charles mullenweg, founder of wordpress.com via his privately-held company Automattic (CEO), lives in SF so perhaps we can assume that he got a “forceful nod” from piglosi or another corrupt socialist democrat. He invests in startups via his Audrey Capital co (audrey.co) and voted for bathhouse barry. For Treepers proficient in research, i’m sure we can dip up plenty on matt and since he claims they host 31% of the web, i’d think it would be beneficial to find out how many other sites he just deplatformed… wings up and Godspeed SD and Treepers!

New CTH, new news outlets, new social media….you already see it happening. Let these tech wizards twist in the breeze as 100’s of millions of people say NO MORE. Education must be taken back from the Associations, they call themselves a Union but that can’t be true because teachers really don’t get a vote. In 2019 Gizmodo contacted web hosting services with a list of websites that Gizmodo viewed as hate speech seemingly relying heavily on SPLC. Th linked article details the responses they received from various hosting providers. It is illuminating to note that wordpress.com alone went full bore to deplatform almost all websites that presented to them by Gizmodo.

As the others have said. Don’t panic. Make a complete backup and download your entire website as well as WP plugins. Lots of hosting companies run WordPress so should be able to create WP database on another server and import your backup.
Converting WP to some other CMS would be a herculean task, so short term best solution is to stick with WP framework for now and just find a new hosting provider that can meet your hosting needs.
How much (virtual) bandwidth does your site need/use ?

How much (virtual) memory does it use?
Is your domainname “theconservativetreehouse.com” registered via WP or some other domainname registrar?

It is so disheartening to hear about the CTH de-platforming. I follow other “Patriots” including RedPill78, X22, and Praying Medic. These are good people, and all three have lost their platforms in the weeks prior to the election. They scrambled to get various video platforms like CloutHut and Rumble to replace YouTube. At this time, they are still broadcasting daily.
But, they are a little too optimistic about our successes against the Deep State. You have the most realistic outlook of any “citizen” journalists. I had fallen for the “Q” decoding for a while back in 2018, and I still check out those posts. But when it comes to reality, and the most realistic expectations, I rely on your interpretation of the events and players involved more than any other.
I hope you can quickly find a new provider that allows free speech in the sense that our founding fathers defined it. If it means a monthly fee to access your new website, count me in.

Unbelievable! I have used a nice little software package named IncrediMail for about 15 or 20 years. It is a software package that gives you easy to use formats and storage methods.
Over the last many weeks I have been getting e-mail from a lot of people speaking for President Trump on his campaign using this package.
Yesterday, 11/14/20, at 3:18 p.m. an e-mail came through from President Trump with a subject line of Update on Pennsylvania.
I clicked on the e-mail. Inside was a message from IncrediMail that said something about not showing the image. There was however an option to display the information. I clicked on the show image button and the page went blank.
I clicked on the button that says always show this party’s image. I then made sure the e-mail was not blocked by me.
Since yesterday I have received 7 e-mails from the President or someone in his family. I can only see the subject line. When I attempt to look at the text of the e-mail it is blank.
Before coming to my IncrediMail software my e-mail goes through the Gmail service provider. I have no way of knowing when the mail is being stopped.
As indicated by my posting name (NC Nana) I am way past the censorship need by someone older.
What is going on here? What happened to freedom of speech????!!!!!!!

Justice Department Again to Monitor Compliance with the Federal Voting Rights Laws on Election Day
The Justice Department today announced its plans for voting rights monitoring in jurisdictions around the country for the Nov. 3, 2020 general election. The Justice Department historically has monitored in jurisdictions in the field on election day, and is again doing so this year. The department will also take complaints from the public nationwide regarding possible violations of the federal voting rights laws through its call center.
“Federal law entrusts the Civil Rights Division with protecting the right to vote for all Americans,” said Eric S. Dreiband, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division. “Our federal laws protect the right of all American citizens to vote without suffering discrimination, intimidation, and harassment. The work of the Civil Rights Division around each federal general election is a continuation of its historical mission to ensure that all of our citizens can freely exercise this most fundamental American right.”
The Civil Rights Division enforces the federal voting rights laws that protect the rights of all citizens to access the ballot. Since the passage of the Voting Rights Act in 1965, the division has regularly monitored in a variety of elections around the country throughout every year to protect the rights of all voters, and not just in federal general elections.
On Nov. 3, the Civil Rights Division plans to send personnel to 44 jurisdictions in 18 states to monitor for compliance with the federal voting rights laws:

As in past years, monitors will focus on compliance with the Voting Rights Act, and the other federal voting rights laws enforced by the division. Monitors will include civil rights personnel from the Civil Rights Division and civil rights and civil personnel from U.S. Attorney’s Offices. Civil Rights Division personnel will also maintain contact with state and local election officials.
The Civil Rights Division’s Voting Section enforces the civil provisions of federal statutes that protect the right to vote, including the Voting Rights Act, the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, the National Voter Registration Act, the Help America Vote Act, and the Civil Rights Acts. The division’s Disability Rights Section enforces the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to ensure that persons with disabilities have a full and equal opportunity to vote. The division’s Criminal Section enforces federal criminal statutes that prohibit voter intimidation and voter suppression based on race, color, national origin or religion.
On Election Day, Civil Rights Division personnel will be available all day to receive complaints from the public related to possible violations of the federal voting rights laws by a complaint form on the department’s website https://civilrights.justice.gov/ or by telephone toll-free at 800-253-3931.
Individuals with questions or complaints related to the ADA may call the department’s toll-free ADA information line at 800-514-0301 or 800-514-0383 (TDD), or submit a complaint through a link on the department’s ADA website, at https://www.ada.gov/.
Complaints related to disruption at a polling place should always be reported immediately to local election officials (including officials in the polling place). Complaints related to violence, threats of violence or intimidation at a polling place should be reported immediately to local police authorities by calling 911. These complaints should also be reported to the department after local authorities have been contacted.
Last week, the Justice Department announced its overall plans for the general election to protect the right to vote and secure the integrity of the voting process through the work of the Civil Rights Division, Criminal Division, National Security Division, and U.S. Attorney’s Offices.
