Can’t help but put this out there but as a kit had a crush on an Amy,
Now the next two of Thomas that has always been great and Brennan in the next four years will be epic.
Sorry should have been Breyer,
Brennan! Ahhh
No reindeer games for sickconservative, right guys?
First chuckle of the day. Thanks. You can be proud…sicko (hee).
Are you all sure she is the best, I hear she may be a sleeper, in there to do the bidding of others. I hope you are right, and so is President Trump.
You hear from whom?
A lot of people from Rubio/Bush cabals were pushing hard for Judge Barbara Lagoa. I don’t trust anyone with approved by most of the Democrats and Bush’s clan.
Mitch McConnell. Who do you think gave Trump the list of nominees that he would confirm?
We will only really know, when or if she writes her first dissenting opinion against Roberts. If it’s not an epic put-down, she’s one of them (the pod elite).
Reading all of the praise for her, I am reminded of the wise words of Kevin Bacon in “Tremors”: “Can you fly, sucker? Can you fly?!” (Granted, that fits Roberts even more…)
And she looks frail. Give her a gun, to deal with Roberts; have her draw it out prominently and lay it on the counter in front of her, while looking steadily at Roberts. That always works for the hero in the movies.
I am also reminded, now (coincidence, I’m sure) of “Bambi meets Godzilla.” I never liked Godzilla. Rodan, now there was a great monster movie — giant larvae and even gianter pterodactyls, in one movie…But I digress (sigh).
Carolyn, from what has been happening, we all are a little skeptic I think. Having being raised in the “Bible Belt”, I’m not that religious but I did retain a faith of sorts. Having sailed the world’s oceans for 22 years was also a faith restorer. When the seas in mid ocean were mountainous and dangerously rough, the skies low and black and the wind was howling through the rigging is when you prepare yourself and the ship for the worst. That’s when faith will guide you, Having watched what President Trump has done and is doing for all Americans I have faith in his judgment, if he were to fail we’ll be in really serious trouble. Hang in there.
I give praise for the good days with light winds and calm seas. 😉
Nice. Two thumbs up.
My first daughter was named after that song.
She has been a miracle of life for 38 years.
As a God loving man, I believe Karma comes from God.
My daughter is not political, but she would eat the Senate Democrats alive,
With truth and moral clarity, delivered with an articulate retort, and a table spoon of salt.
I’m sure Judge Barrett would not add the salt, but the Senate cesspool show’s ‘0’ respect.
I would love the answer of the first smarmy question, answered with,
“Well Senator, why don’t you go ‘F’ yourself.”
WGN “News Nation” is doing some interviews w/ students and colleagues of Barrett.
This is a new TV news broadcast which, so far, seems pretty good from the little I’ve seen. Pretty straight forward news, not opinion pieces. Definitely better than CNN, MSNBC, FNC.
NewsNation has been pretty good so far. President Trump had a good interview there, which is why the Chicago Tribune put out an editorial denouncing NewsNation for being too soft on him.
A quick look over my shoulder and a moment to reflect … I don’t know if we’re winning or not but I must confess I feel better now than at any time since February.
Short list; Mr. Biden is wandering off stage left, Russia Russia Russia is imploding, Democrats are set to overplay their advise and consent hand, the virus death toll brings tears but is slowing and Mr. President did his best, the Majority Leader kept it on the straight and narrow, etc etc ~
If I can hold my breath long enough I’ll see Justice Barrett. More importantly a conservative court could possibly render decisions for decades.
This is a great country.
I know it’s a 3 syllable word,
But how about ‘A Constitutional court’
Melania-gracious as always. Melania Trump has proved to be a terrific First Lady!
Ditto (!)
Love Melania! Four more years, four more years!
The Democrats reportedly are circulating a memo on how to delay a vote on the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett until after the election. The thinking is that if President Trump loses and Republicans lose their Senate majority in the next Congress, the chances of thwarting confirmation in the lame duck session will be substantial improved.
Parliamentary tactics by the Dems may help the Republicans hold the Senate and win the House back.
Prayerfully lifting up this great Country.
If the Republicans cannot get Judge Barrett confirmed before November 3rd, the chances of the Democrats getting the Senate vote extended past January 20th increases exponentially….not the least because they will have several RINO supporters
Mitch May be many things.
But one thing he is that should never be ignored: he is THE master of Senate rules.
He will NOT allow the Dems to delay any vote.
Amen, L4grasshopper! Whatever else McConnell may or may not be, he has been 100% on supporting conservative judges since he took office in 1984 and he has been PDJT’s absolute best ally regarding getting his judicial picks through without exception!
Senator McConnell is all for any conservative that can’t arrest him.
Smart, Christian, Mom, and good lookin.
My kind of Justice
She does have a beautiful family.
Warning, humor coming…
Well, I don’t like the name “Coney”. It sounds corrupt, like her great-grandfather was a robber baron or monopolistic meat-packing tycoon. What kind of parents would name their daughter “Coney”, anyway? And I don’t see her disowning it (!ha!)
Now, now, I told you it was humor, right up front. You have no case.
Did I hear correctly that “Coney” is her parents’ last name?
Great choice Mr. President. Thank you.
Wasn’t the Kavanaugh hearing scheduled for 3 days until Feinstein shows up with the letter from Balsey Ford? We all know what happened after that! Be prepared it could happen again! Gird your loins!
Yes but Feinstein had the letter for more than 6 weeks and waited till they were just about ready to vote to release it. I’m not convinced Lindsey Graham is going to allow the same circus after what they did last time.
Wonderful pick. Take it to the floor and vote. Dems can’t stop it.
If Amy is a real Catholic, she will persuade the court to reverse the made-up constitutional right to murder a baby in the womb. Natural Law supersedes man-made law. Eventually, God’s patience with this most grievous offense against His creation will run out and a great chastisement will descend upon our nation.
Roe v Wade was full of fabrications. Now that RBG is gone, maybe a pro-life group will sue to get rid of Roe. That defective case came out of the courts in Texas. If it comes back here, maybe Ken Paxton could get rid of it.
Pro Life groups have been trying for the past couple years to get cases up to SCOTUS but that snake Roberts is not going to take the cases up for a decision.
Not likely. Roe v Wade is precedent.
Precedent decisions are rarely overturned due to our principal of stare decisis. It is not in the nation’s interest, irrespective of Roe v Wade, that Justices ignore stare decisis. The solemn respect for precedent decisions keeps this nation stable.
There are other ways to alter the alarming rates of abortions in the USA- to stop using abortion as a contraceptive- without digging a crater into a core legal principle.
Congress can pass laws, States can pass laws – and the Justices will then consider the constitutionality of the new law, and that new law may shape or limit Roe v wade. Or an existing law as it is being implemented may be interpreted. But there can never be a “get rid of Roe” Unser our legal system without a case or controversy. “Get rid” is not how it works and We don’t want it to work like that. Tyrannies operate like that.
This is not want many want to hear, but not violating state decisis is fundamental. Good laws and good governments move methodically thoughtfully purposefully and slowly.
under our legal system
It was the supernatural forces of HELL that brought us ABORTION with Roe V Wade in 1973 and that was tyranny. Most were silent about this injustice and INJUSTICE was swift.
So now perhaps, true JUSTICE can can be equally swift, never say never. As for me and my house we will serve the great advocate attorney (councilor) of the SUPREME COURT of HEAVEN!
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb. 11:6
It is ok to speak (write) out hurdles that must be overcome BUT if we assume in our hearts that it is inevitable that the hurdles of hell cannot be overcome then we are useless and un-expectant for GOOD to happen.
But perhaps, you will wonder…“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” Judges 6:13
I know you are tired says the Lord of Hosts but expect me to move, after-all this is my battle not yours!
Each person should ask themselves every day who are they and who they wish to become.
In Brown v the Board of Education, the Supreme Court reversed its earlier position embodied in Plessy v Ferguson. In fact, the court overtly repudiated stare decisis in order to reject its prior “separate but equal” principle.
Encyclopia.com proposed that stare decisis can be overruled on occasion. “Nevertheless, the principle of stare decisis has always been tempered with a conviction that prior decisions must comport with notions of good reason or they can be overruled by the highest court in the jurisdiction.”
Plessy v. Ferguson, 163 U.S. 537 (1896)
Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, 347 U.S. 483 (1954)
Brown v Board came after a war, 620,000 dead and 58 years later.
Roe v. Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973) occurred during the Warren and Burger era when the court was very liberal. They gave us Roe, Miranda (5th amend protection during interrogations) Univ. of CA v Bakke (affirmative action) Texas v Johnson (right to burn flag) and the string of commerce clause cases that started with Wickard v. Filburn, 317 U.S. 111 (1942) and gave the Feds enormous control over commerce, as well as many other decisions that shaped the nation.
We accept the good cases with bad cases to preserve the Republic. And over time the court changes.
With Coney Barrett on SCOTUS the court will have the most conservative balance since 1930. We do not undo the past. We build on it. The past is our history. Good bad. It shaped us. Precedent is overruled where times and reasons no longer support the past decision and only if the majority has the votes to overrule. .’Get rid of it’ is what Antifa does to history and statues. ‘Get rid of it’ is what the Democrats will do by packing the Court and eliminating the consequences of an election.
Keep in mind Roe has gone through a number of alterations and limits and challenges. There may come a set of facts where Roe is overruled. But a Justices should not and cannot be political or religious or act outside of stare decisis.
That is our system and it has keep the Republic of the United States together, and war free for the most part. Elections have consequences. VOTE to prevent the Democrats from wrecking havoc by packing the Court.
“It is not in the nation’s interest, irrespective of Roe v Wade”
“”Get rid” is not how it works and We don’t want it to work like that. Tyrannies operate like that.”
I see what you’re tying to say but Roe VS Wade is more than just a bad law. Abortion in the States has killed 5 times as many people in the Holocaust. It is an act of genocide and one of the worst crimes of all time. It should be outlawed as quickly and expediently as possible. Hundreds of babies die every day that it still exists.
Thank You for that great comment Jay.
108 million American voters didn’t vote in 2016.
After the bio-weapon attack, look for that number to shrink, in Nov.
The moral rot, of leftist run states has been exposed.
Evil considers no consequences toward it’s goal.
The bio-weapon destroyed the morally rotten, public school system to every Mom and Dad who care. Clearly, the politicians who support this rot, will pay for their actions on Nov. 3rd.
Roe/Wade is a lynch pin, for the immoral direction of the left.
Only reality in real time, will rid us of this criminal act, abortion.
Thank you for laying down a base for a worthy conversation here in the comments section.
God’s precedents take precedence. I continue to pray for mercy for our nation.
I remember watching an Uncommon Knowledge with Peter Robinson, years ago, with Antonin Scalia. They were at some Conservative function with law students, and one student asked whether Natural Law had any use/traction etc., in U.S. Law, and Scalia immediately, and shortly, said, “No!” Robinson was a bit taken aback and joked, “Oh, ok, so much for that.”
But any legal system NOT taking Natural Law into account is flawed and must necesarily fail, for it would be based on naught but public opinion; indeed, all law should be based on Natural Law, as you say.
In any event, Roe is so wretched a legal decision, so tortured, so obviously “fake law” arrived at solely to get abortion, that — much like Dred Scott — that it ought to be easy to overturned. Or it would be if so many “high and mighty” didn’t worship Ba’al!
Here praying that Roe V Wade does NOT have to be overcome with a ferocious fighting war like the Dred Scott decision did. Time will show that abortion is a greater deprivation of civil rights than even slavery was.
Justice White summarized Roe V Wade very well…
I find nothing in the language or history of the Constitution to support the Court’s judgment. The Court simply fashions and announces a new constitutional right for pregnant women and, with scarcely any reason or authority for its action, invests that right with sufficient substance to override most existing state abortion statutes. The upshot is that the people and the legislatures of the 50 States are constitutionally disentitled to weigh the relative importance of the continued existence and development of the fetus, on the one hand, against a spectrum of possible impacts on the woman, on the other hand. As an exercise of raw judicial power, the Court perhaps has authority to do what it does today; but, in my view, its judgment is an improvident and extravagant exercise of the power of judicial review that the Constitution extends to this Court. — Doe, 410 U.S. at 221–22 (White, J., dissenting).
Thanks for that considered wisdom.
Let me step aside for a moment that abortion is murder.
That wasn’t enough. Give women a choice.
Abortion gave government a choice to take abortion much farther than murder.
Millions of murders, gender bias, population control and genocide.
Planned Parenthood was specifically created, to kill black babies.
One immoral act, to human life opens the gates of hell, there is no end.
Truth has consequences, without an expiration date.
So perfectly boiled down.
Thanks Bob.
I can’t verify this. But heard every time a country has more than one generation where males out number females.
They go to war!
Thanks to abortion India and China have a problem.
Nonsense.
She is not going to persuade anyone. She is there to
uphold the constitution and to “judge” cases the court
accepts.
Oh and JFK was Catholic and when he ran there were concerns he would listen to the Pope etc. for direction. Turns out he wasn’t so religious, but the political argument against Amy’s faith has come full circle.
My hope is that Barrett is not a compartmentalizing Catholic, as in separating her religious conviction from her legal worldview. She seemed pretty adamant about the precedent of Roe v Wade despite the fact that the Supreme Court is the only one that does not need to take precedence into account as it set the standard for future law.
I am Catholic myself, but fail to understand why some feel
the need to make the Supreme Court all about abortion.
Because Abortion is just about the worst thing ever, and all other issues pale in comparison to the country murdering more people than the Nazis.
Well, I am a Catholic as well and I can’t understand why you don’t make the Supreme Court all about abortion. When you devalue life in the womb it doesn’t stop there, it worms it’s way into other parts of our society. I am extremely pro-life and the Catholics that compartmentalize and vote Democrat in current times make me sick. There are abortions being performed at nine months when babies are born at six and survive. Until this evil practice stops…yes the Supreme Court should be focused on abortion.
Because abortion is an crime against humanity. It is the shedding of innocent blood and I can’t think of any other political topic that is more pertinent to the conservative Trump base.
So, the GOPe is predictably going with the hearings, starting on October 12. I think Lindsey the Drama Queen just wants to be the center of attention before his own re-election and Mitch is playing along. Skipping the hearing in the committee and going straight to the floor would have been a lost opportunity to grandstand.
I know the Dems will spend the next 2 weeks making all sorts of wild accusations (the children will suffer greatly in the process but it’ll be of course the White Colonizer mother’s fault — she should have never accepted this “illegitimate nomination”) and then demand a “thorough FBI investigation” because “we simply can’t ignore such serious allegations” blah blah. We saw that movie before. At some point Mitt Romney (and perhaps some other RINO) will say that the investigation is necessary because he must be sure he is not sullying his pristine conscience by voting for someone who might have done THIS and/or THAT.
I confess, I am not thrilled with the nomination but it does not matter now. Barrett must be quickly confirmed and I am not sure I like the schedule. October 12? Seriously? With some Committee members refusing to even meet with the nominee?
What’s not to like? I’ll trade RBG for ACB any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
As I said, it does not matter now. Oh, and it is a false dichotomy — either RBG or ACB. The list was long enough.
Anyway, my post was not about my personal preferences.
Sounds like the typical time line; give a couple of weeks for Senators to meet individually and build their case files for the “show”. Mitch should have just set a fast track; three prep days then a limited hearing (short 5 minute sessions per Senator, limited to 8 Rep and 7 Dem chosen by leaders. Next day vote.
So is the witch coven planning to sell tickets to a gathering in a NYC park and cast spells and hexes on ACB and her family like they did with Kavanaugh?
Please don’t forget to pray for our country.
Perfect timing for the November elections. A fight over this nomination will only drive GOP vote out and unite the party. Just like it did in 2018 with the Kavanaugh hearings which caused the GOP to GAIN Senate seats!
GOP only lost the house on purpose with all those early retirements of incumbents.
Paul Ryan took a dive for the globalists and his paymasters in the PRC. He “led” the house GOP to defeat. Cannot think of a young Speaker of The House that just quit like he did. The ones that want to win and shape outcomes never quit. Whatever we think of Pelosi, she is tenacious and knows what power is all about. Paul Ryan just laid down and played dead. SMH
I agree. 32 retirements. What kind of poison pill was that right before an election. Planned all the way. Evil basturds. Those who planned it and those who co-operated.
My opinion is that these dates are too close for comfort.
Why wait? Start Monday and give the Marxist press little
time to make up their crap.
They LIKE to rub their processes in our faces. “We’ve got 3 weeks, can you believe it? The voters will have a cow! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!”
You know…evil.
I have to agree with amjean and harrydhuffman. This is already being more drawn out than is necessary and one little glitch could send it past the election. I often wonder if that is what the Republicans want as much as the Democrats. Have they forgotten the Kavanaugh fiasco? Or did they all have a great time with their little bipartisan sh*tshow?
And yes they DO like to rub their precious procedures in our faces. Opening statements, questions, mark up, get ready to vote, and on and on and on. All to remind us serfs how important they are in their big important building and how lucky we are to have them working for us. They disgust me.
They got their marching orders.
Step one: ACB is a horrible person because she accepted the nomination “under these circumstances.” Disqualified!
Its like the twilight zone!
What circumstances are they talking about?
Oh, but… Yikes, never mind – for a moment there I actually attempted to make sense of a leftist trope! It’s late where I am…
Which proves they got nothin’
Thank you president Trump!
To early to tell if Judge Amy Barrett will not legislate from the bench would be great. Unfortunately we will not know for a while. I trust that President Donald J Trump makes the best choice from the hand that he has been dealt. Unfortunately, that being said the choice is definitely Not perfect,
Have to thank Our Heavenly Father for giving us President Donald J Trump. Pray that Our Heavenly Father watch over PDJT, his family, friends, associates and our country. Whatever GOD’S Will is, it will occur. I also pray that we, All of us have the strength to accept whatever His will is.
Did y’all see where Race-Hustler Al Sharpton stated, “I was glad her two kids did come out. Because I couldn’t find too many other people of color in that audience.”
https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2020/09/26/sharpton-i-was-glad-barretts-children-came-out-for-ceremony-because-i-couldnt-find-too-many-other-people-of-color-in-audience/
The Left is so hypocritical…
Justice Ginsburg is touting for “how much she did for POC.” Yet, she hired Over 100 Clerks in 27 Years as a Judge, but only one was a POC.
https://www.bizpacreview.com/2020/09/23/ginsburgs-law-clerks-line-up-to-mourn-and-everyone-stays-hush-about-jarring-lack-of-color-976207
Yes. They are THIS sick:

Living in an upper middle class White family in the United States where one parent is a federal judge instead of a poverty ridden, polluted, crime infested third world hellhole like Haiti is like winning the PowerBall Lottery ten times in a row. This guy is a complete moron! He should visit Haiti for 20 minutes and see for himself…if he survives there that long!
Yup. I’ve been to Haiti. One of the most horrific places I have ever seen. The other being Guinea Conakry. I remember weeping at the sight that human beings created by God were living is such conditions.
The absolute evil and stupidity of these people know no bounds. There is no depth below which they will not and cannot sink.
And as a reminder, I recall the Clinton foundation was
involved in a scam in Haiti.
Please stop with the Barrett is better than Ginsberg stuff. The lesser of two evils is still evil. Garland should have been voted on. Dumb Republicans had plenty of ammo against him and tossed a hail Mary out of bounds. They could have called all his anti constitutional rulings out and shown why he is unfit as a jurist, at any level. I’m tired of our Reps and Senators not doing their jobs. 4 years and President Trump still has unconfirmed cabinet appointments. That’s not the demoncrats, that’s on KY Mitch! I’m tired of form letters from pols, they don’t even try and listen to us pleabs any longer. I’m tired of pleasantries coming before the rule of law. I’m tired of excuses of why we can’t enforce the law. I’m tired of hearing why we, as conservatives, can’t fight back. Even Jesus got angry enough to flip the changer tables, and throw the money changers out. A republic madam, if you can keep it. For the first time in my life I’m actually scared we won’t! People can’t seem to understand, Our founding was of a simple government. The constitution is a read and apply document written in simple English, Not this hydra of legalease that no lawyers even try to understand. I have my doubt’s about Barrett, I’ll pray for her to be true to God and us. Yes I expect purist views on our constitution, so should you. We must do better! Lord help us, please
Pappaduck – who are you telling at? No one is listening to you. You’re boring.
I’m listening, pappaduck. And I agree. (But not about Jesus and the moneylenders — I know the “Son of God” better than that; but that’s too long a story to get into here).
Many are listening. I agree except Garland getting a vote. That was a fitting and proper finger poke to the eye of Obama on his way out.
Eventually all will come to understand that the Democrats truly are the REAL racists.
Bring the children into this fight and we have liberals eating liberals. There is a
Long and Famous list of actors and Hollywood elites who have adopted children from foreign countries and children of different races than their own.
What I want to know is whether, and how forcefully the elites listed below will fight this divisive language. Many if not most are hard core liberals.
Adopting a child is a complicated life long commitment. The persons spewing race venom show reflect on their words and look in a mirror. Enough with the hate.

Etc….
Trump knows no structure lasts without a strong foundation.
If ACB goes thru and his many record breaking nominations for judgeships,
US will be on solid ground for years to come.
If he gets another 4 years with a Senste Majority, we will be set for decades.
Fantastic pick. All I want is someone who will flood our constitution. The fact that she is a Christian is icing on the cake for me personally. The path to happiness on this earth is to believe in God and love one another. Side note, I love when the crowd chat that they love Trump. He so rightly deserves it. Happy Sunday to all. We’re blessed.
Flood = follows
McConnell, and his lackey Graham, make me sick to the bones. He/they are not required to provide a stage for the evil Democrats to savage POTUS and his nominee. They could hold the first day of committee hearing this Wednesday, for 8 hours, give every member equal time. Then reconvene the following Wednesday morning 9 am and vote (without “debate”) to recommend consent to the full body, and vote the next day (without “debate”), and she could be sworn in.
Delayed and Protracted “hearings” are nowhere required in the rules.
Agree…they feel compelled to follow “tradition”, yet also, somehow, think this helps our cause? How? Gives the Dims weeks to test their satanic messaging, lay their land mines, and distract from the most important election in modern history? WTH Graham! You’re running for your pathetic life in South Carolina. I suppose you think this will be a running commercial for rallying R’s to your pathetic ass.
Maybe it will serve to rally voters, but that works on both sides. Had Mitch done expedited fast track mini hearing and vote, Justice ACB would be done 3 weeks before Election Day. Possibly would tell Dims that they’ve lost their war…just go take some more drugs and stay home with your mask on.
BYW, Election Day is now “Election Season”. Early voting and cheat by mail has started. Dynamics are changing. Playing out stuff like this can backfire.
All the “constitutionalist judges” on Trump’s list were pre-approved by Mitch. He continues to play most of ya’ll like a fiddle.
Wow, that is perfect…too perfect…I think the trees were planted. (hee-hee)
Please let it be the best pick ever…Amen.
Why is Lindsey Graham waiting until Oct. 12th to begin hearings?
I have complete faith in our VSGPDJT, and confidence in McConnell to get judge’s through.
Lindsey?…..not so much……Start the hearings sooner Lindsey!!
This poor family is about to be destroyed.
I wish I had not an inkling, of what Democrats are set to do.
#MAGA
Remind all your rabid-Left friends (rare, like unicorns, I know) that what they say about her faith is the same prejudice that was used to try to keep Kennedy from being elected.
That said, Kennedy would be considered a right-wing, religious fanatic today. And a white male of privilege.
The salient issue before us today is not abortion.
The terrifying and horrifying issue before us today is Infanticide.
We have returned our society to the ancient level where a baby born non-prematurely at 9 months can be killed with impunity.
How far have we fallen, and what price will we pay? The souls of New York DEMS in the legislature who stood up and applauded themselves for legalizing the Nazi-style extermination of babies have already been forfeited.
How conservative will Amy be? We will be able to tell by the future votes of Roberts….the further right Amy goes….the further left old John will go.
