The Supreme Court has announced the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg at the age of 87 from complications due to metastatic cancer of the pancreas. The 2020 election is officially in hyper-drive…
SCOTUS – Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died this evening surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C., due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer. She was 87 years old.
Justice Ginsburg was appointed to the Supreme Court by President Clinton in 1993. She was the second woman appointed to the Court and served more than 27 years. She is survived by her two children: Jane Carol Ginsburg (George Spera) and James Steven Ginsburg (Patrice Michaels), four grandchildren: Paul Spera (Francesca Toich), Clara Spera (Rory Boyd), Miranda Ginsburg, Abigail Ginsburg, two step-grandchildren: Harjinder Bedi, Satinder Bedi, and one great-grandchild: Lucrezia Spera. Her husband, Martin David Ginsburg, died in 2010.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. said of Justice Ginsburg: “Our Nation has lost a jurist of historic stature. We at the Supreme Court have lost a cherished colleague. Today we mourn, but with confidence that future generations will remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg as we knew her — a tireless and resolute champion of justice.”
Justice Ginsburg was born in Brooklyn, New York, March 15, 1933. She married Martin D. Ginsburg in 1954. She received her B.A. from Cornell University, attended Harvard Law School, and received her LL.B. from Columbia Law School. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edmund L. Palmieri, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, from 1959–1961.
From 1961–1963, she was a research associate and then associate director of the Columbia Law School Project on International Procedure. She was a Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law from 1963–1972, and Columbia Law School from 1972–1980, and a fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences in Stanford, California from 1977–1978. In 1971, she was instrumental in launching the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union, and served as the ACLU’s General Counsel from 1973–1980, and on the National Board of Directors from 1974–1980. She was appointed a Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 1980. During her more than 40 years as a Judge and a Justice, she was served by 159 law clerks.
While on the Court, the Justice authored My Own Words (2016), a compilation of her speeches and writings.
A private interment service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. (link)
And she politicized the Court beyond previous polite boundaries in criticizing in crass terms the POTUS. She also broke tradition in publicly criticizing our Constitution and the government and nation it created.
Wouldn’t it be apropos that’d she receive a MAGA spray or floral arrangement?
Excellent! I hasten to add I do not wish any ill will on her or her family but I will not ignore the truth of her perfidy as part of the DC Swamp and Deep State.
Nominate and confirm…Watch leftist heads explode ???
MAGA Trump
Nominate and confirm…Watch leftist heads explode ???
MAGA Trump
DEMS will do ALL possible to NOW STEAL this election. MOVE QUICK POTUS! Those R’s NOT voting, SHOW them to America. Appoint QUICKLY!!
You think Rinos up for election are going to support a quick nomination and vote. Yeah, I don’t think so either.
As far as stealing the election, it will be easy to steal Pennsylvania. You can vote in-person until 8pm on election day and you can send in you mail-in ballot until 8pm on election day. I suspect some will drop off their mail-in ballot and then vote in-person and expect the Democratic government will not look into this until after inauguration. And even then, voting is by secret so they will not be able to invalidate your double votes. Democrats are big on ends justify the means, so anything will go for them. We need a monster vote.
NOT in my precinct where I am judge of elections!
…and I am on the ballot board for my county here is Texas.
In Texas, ballots by mail have tracking numbers that are logged when the ballot goes out and when the ballot comes back in. If your mail-in ballot has arrived and you try to check in to vote in person, you are disqualified. If you still want to vote in person, you must go to the elections administration office and retrieve your ballot (if it has not already been counted), return to your precinct polling location, render the ballot to the judge, sign the proper papers, then check in to vote.
Do not try to vote twice in Texas.
I’m a poll worker in PA. We have a checks and balances for minimizing double voting on Election Day too. It’s the “found” boxes of phony ballots and the unconstitutional counting for 3 days following the election that I’m worried about.
Don’t hate on me, but it is time for a Evangelical (Conservative) appointment. We have either Catholics or Jewish members (Of which I have both in my immediate genealogy). More diversity needed. Nominate by Oct 1, and make it a fait acompli. So, regardless of the election results, the Court will move strongly right. This could really depress the Demos turn out. YEA!!!
Amy Coney Barrett For RBG Seat on SCOTUS !!!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Coney_Barrett
Well will Miss Lindsey’ s Judiciary committee screw this up .??
I can but imagine his aggressive promises to do X, Y and Z followed by feverish inaction.

why a minority woman ? what, another “wise latina” … pander much ?
The Wise Latina is really Jewish which made four Jewish Supreme Court Justices and the Democrats wanted Merrit Garland who would have made five. So 60% of the Supreme Court is Jewish but only 2% of the population of the United States according to the Democrats!
Comment deleted by Admin…
You took the words right out of my mouth, Lack. I AM SICK AND TIRED of hearing constant calls to “Select Minority Women” when opportunities like this come along. ENOUGH!
What President Trump NEEDS TO DO is nominate a TRUE CONSERVATIVE who is a “Constitutional Origjinalist” that will swing the SCOTUS AWAY from these Parseltongued “Reinterpretations” favored by the Left.
Someone who is:
PRO-LIFE, PRO 2nd Amendment, and ANTI-Socialist, among other things. And it wouldn’t hurt for this nominee to br relatively YOUNG AND HEALTHY.
And if the most qualified candidate turns out to be a minority woman, FINE.But don’t compromise ANY essential riequirements to meet yet another “racial quota”
I wholeheartedly agree letjusticeprevail2014, it should be on merit only.
And an immigration patriot to enforce immigration law, as PDJT has been doing – apart from being undermined by activist judges and insubordinate BHO moles and holdovers.
Sidney Powell.
Love it! Can she be FBI Director at the same time? 🙂 We need many more of her!
Sidney Sistas!
Haha!

Murkowski can suck wind. She is FOS.
MuKowski is something that washed on the shore and forgot to leave!!! Whatever this President does he will do so with the Powers of the Office…This woman is touched in the head!!!! And that is being nice!!!!
So Murk and Mittens vote no. If they gets out of committee they will be confirmed.
Collins will definitely torpedo a confirmation and Sasse will not be far behind.
Sarah palin will announce her Senator seat campaign SOON
Well, of course.
The Constitution has no such language as Murkowski’s personal demand. But swamp-critter-globalists like Murkowski are indifferent to The Constitution.
Without Murkowski, Romney and the moron on the east coast, do we have
enough votes?
I don’t know why, but your comment made me laugh hysterically. How sad is it that we have a Senate majority, and we’re still surrounded by losers. You know Willard Romney won’t be able to resist the media attention.
Willard is such a tool – exponentially worse than he used to be.
I expect to see Willard switch party and try to run on the dem ticket, as President. He is just pandering to the left too much to be doing anything else.
This is not a surprise. At all.
Why doesn’t she just go ahead and admit she’s a democrat?
How long til Romney says he won’t vote?
murky can kiss my azzzz….
Eric – Why not VOTE before eleciton?
are they out of session or something?
What about voting after the election but before the Senate is officially adjourned prior to the beginning of a new session?
Why wait? To appease the Communists who despise our Constitutional Republic? I don’t think so..
The Dems are said to still be ticked about not being able to squeeze in Merrick Garland on Obama’s way out the door. Obama may want to have another “secret” conference call like the one he used to send the message to Judge Sullivan.
Why does this not surprise me?
And, Murkowski is not stupid enough to believe that, if the shoe was on the other foot, Chuck Schumer would even HESITATE to ramrod a Dem pick through confirmation.
It’s times like this when I regret America’s decision to admit AK into the Union.
Yup, Amy Coney Barrett!
I hope that weasel McConnell and his senate partners in crime
do not do anything to screw this up. Even they must realize that
the future of the country is at stake.
How will Mitt Romney vote? LOL
This could be a turning point and Murkowski, Snow and Romney wild cards.
OOPS! Collins, not Snow. Shouldn’t try to post and carry on a conversation with someone at the same time!
Susan Collins, not Olympia Snow.
It’s 2020. ?
Snowe
Don’t freak. The ave time to confirm is 2.2 months. I doubt they can get it trough before Nov 3 anyway.
jur… are you and your buddies passing around Eagles Spanish wine? He seems to have faded.
I think Democrats would be able to get it done before the body is in the ground.
I like Trey Goudy for the position.
No fricken’ way! You must be new here….Gowdy is bought and paid for…..
You took the words right out of my mouth.
@poco424 You forgot the sarc tag,
Poco, you ARE kidding, right?? You just forgot the /s, right!!??
No Trey, nor uno, nor dos!!
This will absolutely be a political nuke. I expect increased rioting tonight.
That’s one way to cancel the debate
RBG is still voting Democrat in November.
She may have voted already today in VA, before saying adieu. Early voting opened there today.
Finally–a chance to put a third Constitutional conservative on the Court.
And make Roberts vote meaningless.
Maybe someone who studies history can tell us when that last happened?
Clarence Thomas
Too bad we have too many backstabbers in the senate. Romney, Collins, Murkowski are 3 guaranteed votes against. That means they just need to peel off one more. With the likes of Gardner, Sasse, Tillis and the rest, I don’t think McConnell can twist enough arms to get anything through.
I still think Trump should at least try to nominate someone and let democrats make fools of themselves like with Kavanaugh
I think this is a good thing because it can help dampen coronavirus as a campaign issue and take oxygen out of COVID narratives. If the democrats try to make this election about abortion and women’s rights instead of COVID I will take that trade every time.
Murkowski is already on record saying taht she didn’t think there should be a vote on a SCOTUS preplacement before the election.
People in Alaska need to flood her phone lines and email account.
Don’t let her get away with it.
Same with Romney in Utah and Collins in Maine.
Don’t freak Ave 2.2 months till confirmation. Doubt they could get it through in only 5 weeks.
Thank God she is not in charge, 🙂
Thats because Feinstein CHOKE hOlded her against the wall.
Collins is in the fight of her career for re-election. She’ll make the wrong decision.
Collins is in a tight race…she might go with a Trump pick.
Especially a minority female or at least a female.
Watch and see.
Check John Podesta’s emails for any “wet work”.
I had that same thought. Hate to say it.
To her family and her friends, my condolences…
Agreed.
Tango Yankee, Vikeing Mom!!!!
I don’t give condolences to evil.
With you on that amjean!
She, like all of us, will answer for her actions and her decisions. That is between her and God and He is fully capable of handling that appropriately…
My condolences were to her family and friends. I absolutely did NOT agree with her political or judicial opinions but I will not tarnish my own soul with allowing hatred to infiltrate it.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” II Corinthians 5:10
I’ve really never understood this act of giving condolences to a dead person’s family..
do you KNOW THEM?
are they likely to read CTH and notice YOU posted a completely anonymous “condolence”.
please no disrespect meant here.
I’m just NOT familiar with this tradition…or whatever it is.
please explain how making nice talk to people you’ve never met..do not know..on a rather tight website… that they will never read is useful.
maybe I’m just too logical to understand how any of this can work.
bear in mind I’m also the same dude who gets irritated when some complete stranger “blesses me” after i sneeze…. seems to me its more about virtue signaling…
maybe I’ve got it all wrong…
maybe when RGB’s family makes the standard ” thank you all for your prayers and thoughts… yada yada”..
could.be you.
/s
She helped with destruction of many American ideals. She was an enemy of the Constitution….no sympathy from me either. And, her family is just as idiotic as she was.
Ginsberg advised Egypt that they should not adopt the US Constitution. She was against the American system and openly voiced it.
Antifa and the BLM mobs will have to be told who RGB was so they can be reprogrammed to riot accordingly.
Nicely done.
Clivus- you bring up an excellent point!
Clivus, RBG was white so there will be no riots for her.
But she identified as a Marxist…so there is that…and she wore a black robe.
Spilled my glass of wine on that one.
And so very pro abortion, too. The heroine of women not wanting their conceived children. So, my guess is… there’ll be rioting.
The little pink hats with kitty ears are likely to resurface en masse again. Nitwits.
Ha!
God speed to RBG. I will be praying for her family.
Thx SD. the rally post is really not the best place to talk SC vacancies.
She passed long ago personal opinion…will Susan save her Senate bid now?
If Mitch could get a nominee through without Collins’ vote, he might give her a pass, although she’d tick off the Maine conservatives and lose votes there.
only way Susan Collins wins is by confirming new Justice…
Well…..bye.
RIP justice Ginsberg
Holy Crap….it’s gonna get ugly.
Yes it is going to get ugly…I expect multiple funerals for her too with paid mourners and all.
I found out about this only b/c someone in my NextDoor neighborhood posted “the U.S. is finished, God has forsaken us”. This part of northern NM is very liberal already but goodness! the melodrama because an elderly and very ill woman passed
How can they call upon God? Based upon their anti God beliefs?? Their party has forsaken God !! Are those neighbors not paying attention!?
beach – yes, it is. We need to pray for our President and his protection….
She should’ve retired years ago and enjoyed her twilight years.
The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry
That’s what many Democrats are saying … well, sort of …that she should have retired while Obama was still in office so he could choose her replacement … not so much the “enjoying retirement” part. Where did our civil society go?
Exactly. Those SCUM are the ones who laid a guilt trip on her and convinced her to hang on till Hillary was elected. And then when she WASN’T elected, they kept the pressure on. “Just 4 more years, Ruth, then you can really retire, we promise.” Absolutely scum.
She didn’t like or respect blacks. In 27 years, I think she had 1 black clerk. When asked why, she said she never found a qualified black. While the best law schools in the nation are packing their classes with affirmative action admissions, that’s not a reason, it’s an excuse for racism. Law for thee, but not for me. He he!
I think she died some time ago and the reanimation gear just locked up.
Absolutely. Everything she supported was dark.
she did enjoy many decades of dark shadows…she was born into it…molded by it.
I would say she was committed to the very end.
even mocking the very concept of sound mind … completing her spectacle WITH THAT sick perversion.
you got to a 14 year old for brain surgery or to repair by the space orbiter?
then why would you allow a 80 year old to make the most as significant legal rulings for every single state of the union. .up to and including issues of brain as surgery and rocket science.
houston we got a problem…and ots name is
AGED FLEET!
Yep. Height of liberal hubris. She couldn’t imagine that HELLary wouldn’t win.
I’d shed a tear but.
Not unexpected … and it immediately changes the SCOTUS dynamic … and liberals across the land will be needing trips to the laundry.
Trump can announce his choice but at this late date, nothing will get done until after the election. And then it all rests on Trump winning and the GOP retaining the senate majority.
So, the rest of this year promises to be most exciting.
Even if the worst happens and Trump loses and the Dem’s take control of the Senate, they’re still in power and in the majority until Jan. 20th.
Full speed ahead.
The new Senate is seated on January 3rd — so the window between then and Jan 20 may be narrower if Republicans can’t hold upper chamber.
Regardless of politics, she was a remarkable woman. RIP.
Geraldine Ferraro was also great feminist and longtime political figure until she crossed Hillary and then was absolutely eviscerated by the media. Hypocrisy will be on full display in the coming weeks, guaranteed.
What? Late term abortion, lowering the age of consent to 12 and not to mention her clear disregard for the constitution and our second amendment! No, not remarkable . Evil.
Bree – I agree. I hate when people start lionizing these reprobates simply because they have died. Same thing happened with McStain and Kennedy. These were not good people and don’t deserve our praise. Good riddance…
are you referring to john kennedy? sorry, but he was fighting the military/industrial complex and he was murdered for it….followed by his brother. please do not compare him to a traitor.
I think Ted Kennedy was being referred to…
I took this as a reference to Ted Kennedy.
of course not – Teddy…I would think it was obvious.
REMARKABLE definition:
worthy of being or likely to be noticed especially as being uncommon
learn English
As for me….I’ll leave the determination of who is “evil” to the Ultimate Judge.
And pray that in the end…I’m worthy enough that it’s not me.
Which is thankfully why people can rest on Christ’s righteousness and not their own, and accept that as sufficient with Him as their savior.
Ephesians 2:4-10 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, made us alive with Christ even we being dead in trespasses—by grace you are saved— and He raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
I agree. I feel sad at hearing the news even though I did not agree with her. She served our country a long time and deserves our respect.
She deserves no respect. Evil to the core. You don’t respect evil. You condemn it and eradicate it. She was a selfish evil witch.
She helped eviscerate our Constitution. It is not a matter of disagreeing. It is like the difference between someone saying they don’t like the color of your house and someone who takes a sledge hammer and begins destroying it.
I understand her rise to the Supreme Court, fighting cancer for even in those early years and having a family while she was doing so.
But what did she actually do while seated on the court that has worked so well?
I can’t think of a single significant, well-reasoned, compelling ruling. Mostly she wrote whiny, poorly reasoned dissents and joined in others’ mostly bad decisions, like Kennedy’s paroxysm of femininity/homophilia, Obergafell. The passing of any person is sad, b/c they can’t do any better than what they’ve already done. For some, that’s less sad than it is for RBG.
Bingo! A nothing.
I hope if Mitch lets POTUS nominate someone POTUS should
nominate a woman…otherwise we get another Kavanaugh hearing on
steriods…
I hear whatcher sayin’ … but ever since the Robert Bork-quisition the demo-rats abandoned any pretense of “comity”. The demo-rats are nothing but ugly. The GOP better batten the hatches and be ready for hand-to-hand combat (pardon the mixed metaphor)
No no no. Nominate the best person regardless of gender! That’s part of the reason we’re in this mess. Our President doesn’t play that game.
Sidney Powell.
If it’s a 4-4 split, the lower court opinion is “affirmed by an equally divided court.”
won’t be 4-4 … its not a social issue Roberts will hold the line …
WTH! are u smoking =]
a DEM lost
it will be 5-3
For maybe the first time…I totally understand your post.
And totally agree!
There is NO REASON AT ALL to trust Roberts.
NONE.
Will Roberts be the spoiler? He is compromised.
Indeed he is. Sadly, it will all be 4-4 until the new nominee is confirmed, whenever that might be.
Retired Magistrate here: She certainly lived a lot longer than I thought she would with all of her medical problems. I did not agree with most of her decisions and felt that she thought that the Constitution was just a suggestion. I remember several cases where she looked to other countries and what their legislation set forth with regard to certain issues; not what she was appointed to do which was uphold the Constitution. She certainly had her own agenda and she went forward with it all the time she was on the bench.
Now, she will have to answer to the ultimate JUDGE. Don’t know whether she will rest in peace or not; only GOD knows.
that’s being more than generous.
we KNOW the actions and the consequences of this person over a very long period of time.
there is no question she was NOT INTERESTED AT ALL IN doing the MOST IMPORTANT WORK OF A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE:
a. following a straight and true reading of the Constitution and recognizing every Modern issue is resolved by adhering to the brilliant concepts laid out.
b. protecting human life.
on both counts she was a saboteur.
God will not be mocked.
Puts a crink in the protracted protest the election plans for sure.
Won’t say RIP. She will receive her due recompense. If one does not have anything good to say then one should not say anything. So…
That individual needs a lesson in the aspects of “The Office of the President of the United States”…If President Trump wants to do so, then he can do so!!!!!!!!!!!!
POTUS can only nominate. Senate confirms or doesn’t.
We can only afford 2 defections. VP Pence can be the 51st “Aye” vote to confirm.
But looks like we have three traitors in the Senate. Murkowski, Collins, and Romney.
So if President Trump wants an approval, he may have to give up some very valuable political capital to Mitch or one of those traitors.
GB great insight…However, I do believe that President Trump has something up his sleeve to get around these individuals. These senators are neophytes compared to President Trump!!! Will let the next few days run their course and then see what is happening!!!
if Mitch wanted to, he could get the votes. Do you think for one minute Shumer would allow a single Democrat to cross over on something this impt. No way in hell. He would make sure that Sen. had an office in the public toilet,no committee assignments and a primary candidate running against him in the next election.
Mitch could do the same and use the nuclear option.
I’m sure President Trump knows all about Mitch and China, so he has some capital of his own to spend.
You can afford three defections; not two. Pence get to break a 50-50 tie.
Yes my error I was thinking the Republicans have a 52-48 Senate majority instead of 53-47. My bad.
Maybe “the American People” ARE having a voice
… just not the particular American People Schiff has in mind
they did and they elected Trump …
The American people do have a voice…our elected President of the U.S., Donald Trump.
So Chuck saying he wants to wait 4 years, 6 weeks before filling the vacancy?
Dems used to offer prayers. They can’t do that anymore. You know, “the thing” and their platform. Dems used to have thoughts. They can’t do that anymore, when independent thought is no longer allowed in their party.
And compare Schumer’s statement to Trump when he first heard the news (at the end of the rally). Without having any chance to think of the right thing to say, he still managed to say it perfectly. Even though clearly Trump didn’t agree with most of what RBG stood for, he still proved to have FAR more compassion for her and her family than Schumer and other Dems do. (They ONLY cared about her keeping a seat warm on the SC!)
(By the way, “Tiny Dancer” playing in the background was… well… moving, and spooky.)
You think the Kavanugh hearings were ugly. The Dems are going to be rabid when Trump tries to confirm a replacement
Disagree. The dems look really bad right now with BLM, riots, etc. Unless they put forth a reasonable argument against a nominee, they’ll drive more peeps away. The Kavanaugh approach should’ve been abandoned as soon as it surfaced that he had a calendar; that hearing really hurt them. I can still see his wife’s face when he was near tears.
I honestly think it might be the difference between winning the next generation and winning the next two generations…..but—the powerful Dems are almost all gone now…..maybe they’re willing to take that chance.
Unless they put forth a reasonable argument against a nominee, they’ll drive more peeps away
Please give an example of the last “reasonable argument” the Dems have put forth for ANYTHING.
Then give an example of the last time they gave a shit about driving “peeps’ away.
I’ll be getting a “blowout” or eating some ice cream from my “Treat Freezer”
while you ponder your answer.
(Maybe I’ll even share some of it with my personal protection detail…or maybe not.)
RAPID is right.
Frothing at the mouth.
Thanks for outing yourself shill!
The Dems will have to seriously rethink this situation to save it. I wasn’t being sarcastic; I was being serious.
However, your “blowout” and “ice cream” comment for me to “ponder” my answer are a dead give away.
I know you meant RABID. As in rabies-ridden. RABID. And yes, that’s the sole Demonrat script for everything.
I gess I nedd to spel cheque my spill chalk
Perhaps we should all get tetanus shots!
Murkowski already stating she won’t vote on new justice before the election.
Collins having a thought race, wonder what she will do. Can’t count on Romney either.
Tough
53 senators – lose 3 (murkowski , romney and Collins)
Pence votes the tie! COMPLETELY DEFLATES the Democrats prior to the election.
from your lips, WhiteBoard
Hell Yea – This WILL SOLVE THE ELECTION STEALING!
Doug Jones… a wildcard????

Cory Gardner and Martha McSally are the most endangered. Those seats likely to flip, but Doug Jones in Alabama might be….interesting.
Pressure on these people will be horrendous.
They so richly deserve every pound of the horrendous pressure.
Martha McSally … SMH … the damage that McCain did to the Arizona GOP is so discouraging … in his last years, McCain put his flunkies and hack in as county chairman and such … moles still doing damage
Old Joe in WVA knows he is dead meat if he doesnt vote for nominee.
He’s a survivor…………………..
Doesn’t he have four years left on his term
If we’ve learned anything from following Sundance, we’ve learned that Murkowski will ultimately do what McConnell tells her to do.
Omg.
Our Constitution and our freedoms are on the line here, and hatchet-faced Lisa Murkowski is already saying she won’t vote on a replacement until after the election.
If Turtle wants it bad enough, he’ll make sure Murkowski gives him the vote. He has the power to make the rest of her Senate career miserable is he needs to.
Lindsey Graham is in his closest election ever here in SC. Look for him to go gung-ho to get Trump’s nominee through. It puts him in the spotlight and gives him headwinds with the Republicans in SC who are totally disgusted with him. (like me)
I’ll but Tillis on that list also he needs the vote of many like me that aren’t real fans to be nice.
Stay tuned
And distracts from the fact he’s not doing anything about Russiagate!
Senate and house investigations are a big waste of time anyway.
And don’t forget Lindsey’s finest hour… when he went off on the scumbag Dems during the Kav hearings.
She should have resigned a long time ago. She knew how ill she was. No one except lefties would have been critical.
That’s right. As much as most on the Right disliked her rulings, the ONLY bit of sympathy she ever got for her health problems was FROM the Right. The Left? They couldn’t care less… it’s THEY who pushed her to work right up till the end.
POTUS should insist on an open casket viewing in the rotunda…. because I have a suspicion she’s been dead for quite some time.
Im getting this feeling in my gut that ‘RGB RIP’ is a Hail Mary for Biden to close the enthusiasm gap. Desperation.
I won’t mourn her regardless… she couldn’t keep her aging beak from slamming POTUS … setting an awful precedent. Should have left her seat in 2016.
im share that concern.
did she die at the perfect Closeness to the election to INHIBIT a Pre-Replacement?
Solves the suburban white woman enthusiasm problem on the Dem side, for sure.
They geared up the Covington Catholic smear in anticipation of an Amy Coney Barrett nomination, but thanks to unanticipated live streaming that completely fell apart and actually energized Catholics and people who hate people who lie about children.
What will they do now?
No age limit to be a Supreme (other than 18+). You don’t even have to be a lawyer. So… Nick Sandman it is! 😉
Actually hurts Biden. With an ave 2.2 months till confirmation the new appointed one will happen at the latest by Christmas. What a present!!
It’s only 2.2 months unless the Senate has already approved of candidate (i.e. Ted Cruz)…..they’ll NEVER downvote a colleague.
PDJT did mention Cruz in at his rally tonight, and stated that he would get 100 votes, Dem want him out Reps would support him.
Surely all Republican Senators would vote Aye or be toast.
My money would be on a Cruz nomination.
Why not, it would surely capture the news cycles, and he would be as good a pick as any.
Would it not even somewhat mute the nevertrumpers
The real question is whether Cruz recognizes that he can make a bigger impact on this country as a Justice as opposed to POTUS (we know this is what he ultimately wants, but I’m not sure he could win). As Justice , he could have a lifelong impact on our future. ( I firmly believe he’s a Constitutionalist and a great pick for SC).
I was thinking Cruz myself. I sure didn’t want him as president, but he could actually be a really good Supreme, I think. The question is, though, would he have to abstain from the confirmation vote? Hmm…
Crud…..he could have to abstain. OR…he could be totally cheeky and say “heck, yeah, I’m voting for myself!” (which would make the American peeps love him even more!)
I have lived long enough to know Roe V Wade is no more.
God is good.
Amen!
It makes me wonder.
Is there no time to confirm a supreme court justice now? to deflate its use in the election?
putting her on ice (is a mean statement), but did she die close enough to the election to make it impossible to get a replacement BEFORE the ELECTION (deflating it as an issue )
Sad but true.
I’d forgotten about RINO Lamar Alexander.
Yeah me too. Unfortunately.
Please don’t forget that God is on our side. None of those peeps are powerful enough to derail HIS plan.
Funny you should say that, crickets. I was just thinking: is God hv’g America yet another chance to chg her ways and reverse R vs W and the mitigating and killing of the unborn before He returns to judge the world for all eternity!?
the * killing
We only know two things, New Nonna, (1) GOD doesn’t want HIS angel babies murdered. (2) HE uses all things for HIS plans/good….this is the only “comfort” (if you can call it that) that I take with RvW.
If RvW is reversed, I think I might consider that as the last great awakening before HIS return….with adults, we’re already at Sodom and Gomorrah…..the baby sacrifices of Baal….how could that NOT be a tipping point?
So many and so much to pray for and about. Lord have mercy on us and on the whole world. ??????
POTUS should pick Amy Barrett!
Agree and sure has already been vetted.
McConnell will likely show his true colors (aides and abetted by the many other CINO repubs in the Senate) and obstruct any effort to fast track a replacement.
McConnell is already setting up meetings to get the ball rolling on the next confirmation. He has been eagerly awaiting this opportunity.
As I have said before we will see. I believe he is excellent with sleight of hand.
Apparently, Murkowski and Collins have previously said they won’t vote on a nominee in October. I doubt Romney will support the President in this so he may not have the votes to push this through.
This is all from Tucker and his guests tonight.
I think those Senators in question will do exactly as McConnell tells them to do on the sidelines ….. or else…
Mitch is up for re-election; he wants his legacy of successful judicial appointments.
At this point tonight; don’t look too far ahead.
Right now, everything has changed…just like that!
Yes! He doesn’t want our President out there saying he’s dragging his feet!

I think there will be other cowardly repubs do the same.
The Republicans you refer to as “cowardly” are not cowardly. They are, in fact, complicit, duplicitous and malevolent.
No argument from me. I was just trying to be polite.
IN fact…that is the whole of congcritters who get their knickers in a twist instead of doing what is right for the POSITION THEY WERE ELECTED TOO!!! PRIMA DONNAS!!!!
RIP, may God have mercy on her soul for the damage she has done with her rulings, especially the lives of unborn babies.
“Thou shalt not kill.” A pretty clear Commandment, if you ask me. However, let’s not forget, “Judge not lest ye be judged.” So.. I’ll zip it. ?
I wonder, truly, not being sarcastic, if our believing someone’s actions are opposed to the law of God, example: killing, in this case innocent unborn babies, is something we’re supposed to not ‘judge’ lest we be judged. This always confuses me.
Congratulations on being a “new nonna again!” I’m so very jealous!
I think “judge not..” means that none of us are in a position to damn another soul. God knows every single one of His “lost” sheep and only He can see -and judge- what a person holds in their heart.
This does not mean we cannot condemn the *actions* of another. As a society we can, and should, mete out punishment to fit the crimes against humanity.
But, even as we carry out our duty to society as a whole, we condemn the actions without condemning the people who commit those actions.
We should in fact pray for all His lost sheep to find their way back to Him. In doing so we lift up our hearts to a merciful God. Christians can hate the sin, but love the sinner enough to pray for lost souls to become right with God.
First, thank you!! It’s wonderful and we’re very blessed. ??
So, thank you, Judith, for the solid response. I read here many expressing condolences to her family and wishes for her to Rest In Peace, as I did, who also say pretty much what you answered me.
Your answer just made it a bit clearer to me. I certainly don’t think of myself any better than anyone else, but I do condemn evil when I see it. I was beginning to think that made me someone God would judge for judging others’ evil actions.
I find I do judge the sin (evil) especially when it’s against another, but I do pray for our Lord’s mercy. On us and the whole world.
Thank you for responding. I appreciate it. ??????
???????✔✔✔❤❤❤❤
PS I’ve been praying fervently for the souls of the lost and brain washed. May the Holy Spirit fill them with the light of truth and save them from lies and the grip of the evil one. Amen.
Thank you, New Nonna. This is the Christian way.
Jesus is the Way, and I’d be a non believer if I didn’t follow Him. Jesus, have Mercy on us, and on the WHOLE WORLD. ??
Some of the liberals I know on Facebook are freaking out. They says
this is terrible…They worry that GOP will ram someone thru..
Liberal tears are flowing for the wrong reasons.
If the GOP knows what’s good for them, they will. That’s about the only way they can ever begin to redeem themselves with their base, after the horrible way they treated “the people’s” President over the past four years.
Absolutely horrible! If Republicans don’t quickly confirm a suitable replacement, they are TOAST: They will never, *ever* be re-elected.
I do hope she rests in peace, according to the grace and forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ for those who look to him as the redeemer of their sins. No one is all bad or all good and all are capable of contributing both good and evil to the world (knowingly or unknowingly). I have to be honest, though, that I look at her with great sadness in that she was a staunch advocate of “abortion rights” and I cannot help but think of all of God’s creatures murdered in the name of such “rights.” May God have mercy on her soul.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
Yes, all those innocent souls, and God’s plans for them extinguished. Akashic records don’t lie.
We must sincerely repent and atone for our sins while there’s still time. “Ask not for whom the bell tolls..” Pray for the soul of Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
John 14:6. Theosophy, pantheism, Neoplatonism, Hinduism, Buddhism – none of them preach John 14:6.
“No one is all bad or all good and all are capable of contributing both good and evil to the world“ — I’ll provide a different perspective. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts–murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.” Jesus of Nazareth in Matt15:19. Apart from the Lord Jesus, mankind is ALL bad, simply depraved, wicked and evil.
Yes, I agree, we all are in a state of total depravity. In other words we can do no good of ourselves and cannot achieve our own salvation. However, even enemies of God (such as us) can be used to achieve good and to accomplish his will. Even Pontius Pilate was an instrument of God, as attested to by Christ. He did bad but what he did was in accordance with God’s plans and permission. Does that make sense? Not in human terms. But what is important is that we are told our salvation is entirely based on Christ and His redeeming act of sacrifice and grace toward us. Our recognition of such is enabled through the gift of faith we have been given through the Holy Spirit (via Baptism and the Word and Sacraments) and is evidenced by our repentance of our sins and our acts of faith. Did RBG recognize her need for Christ? I hope so. Did she repent of her sins? I most certainly hope so.
And dissonant, I often recall:
God allows our ordains EVERYTHING. It is not for us to understand, but to accept and trust in Him. ??
Allows OR* ordains EVERYTHING.
I have a question: Are you telling me that Ginsberg has not been buried?
Serious Question because I don’t watch the news!!!!
Eagle Driver, no, not at all. From the news reports she was interred at Arlington National Cemetary following a private ceremony.
Tango Yankee on that…WOW…Must have been REAL PRIVATE!!!
Travel well, Ruth.
Move on it now. Remember Biden/Bork.
May she Rest In Peace,
But sorry, I’m not sorry to see her go. ??
So pro abortion. Wonder if she’s meeting ask those babies she supported being destroyed, killed, in utero. ?
And how do we know she didn’t go weeks ago but they’re only telling us now. ?
And that image above should be the American flag and a Star of David, I believe.
See you, Ruthie. Actually, if I do, I’m in the wrong place.
Hopefully you asked for Mercy the moment your eyes permanently shut. I hope for your sake, you did.
… if she’s meeting all* those babies
“The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen.”
Thank you Ruth for advancing so many really good causes along the way. RIP.
“On the Basis of Sex” is excellent. Currently playing on SHOWTIME.
Let the games begin! 🙂
That actress is real pretty so I relented and watched it on cable
… with the sound off and one eye on it while browsing Treehouse
I do have principles, you know
She is adorable and smart. A winning combo.
You’ll want to see this if you haven’t – filmed in 2008, she was 25 and played a teen girl – there’s a charming scene with her in a floppy hat, playing Bowie records with a boyfriend
Daniel Craig is the centerpiece actor in the adult timeline of the film
Flashbacks of a Fool

It is hard to see the same girl, but she is in there. Interesting.
“…Advancing so many really good causes…”
Like abortion and wanting to lower the age of consent to 12? No thanks, won’t be watching a movie about someone so vile. Disgusting. Spit!
I get it, truly. I’m not a big fan, but if you watch the movie with an open heart and mind, I think you will see that what I say is true. She and Marty did some good once upon a time. They were trailblazers in gender equality for a country that desperately needed it. Talk about the good ole’ boys club, it is on full display in this movie. Sadly, as a Supreme, she let her country down too often.
I will let her maker be the her judge, and I will be victorious in the knowledge that WE get to replace her, at the hands of our chosen one, President TRUMP! May he be wise and swift in his choice.
P.S. I think it will be a woman. How will they tear down a woman when for the last 4 years they have built them up. What a conundrum they will have. 🙂 🙂 🙂
President Trump, please add Sidney Powell to your short list of replacements. She’ll put the “justice” in Supreme Court Justice.
Murkowski already has come out and said she won’t vote for any nominee until next year.
Romney may be next.
GOP betrayal.
I never understood the whole “let the American people decide” line when it came to replacing SC Justices in an election year. We decided 4 years ago to give President Trump the authority to nominate any SC replacements until his term was up. His term will not end until the next President is inaugurated. It is crucial to not have a 4-4 court, especially at such a critical time as stated previously, with the high probability of the election going to the SC.
You’re absolutely right. Her number was up in September 2020, and Donald J Trump is the people’s chosen president. The next President won’t assume office until next year. We need a Supreme Court to-day.
One thing Mitch is serious about is the judiciary — he considers it his legacy. We’ll see what kind of arm-twisting, back room offers, and “come to Jesus” talks he will employ to get the problem children on board…
We may never see what Mitch will offer in exchange for a timely SCOTUS confirmation.
In judicial confirmations, I have confidence in Mitch.
Ding dong, the witch is dead. Isn’t she the one who wanted to lower the age of consent to 12?
Yes she was!
TIMING!
ROSH HASHANAH The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah, literally “day of shouting or blasting”.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg dies at 87
She was the strongest advocate for abortion in the U.S. .

Yes…SD may want to adjust the last illustration. Should be the Star of David.
…although I do not know if Ruth Bader Ginsberg was practicing the Jewish faith or not.
I would guess not practicing faith, but who knows but God?
Most reformed NY Jews seem to have an issue with practicing their faith. Have never figured that out save for the thought that they are too afraid to.
Lord have mercy on her soul. ?
Why release in the middle of a Trump rally? The rats in the media are the biggest scum in the world.
She probably passed weeks ago and they are doing this now.
today, they were trying to make him cancel the political protest.
There is people on TV talking right now and they said that Collins murkoski and Romney and Sass will not vote for any nominee until after the election and so no matter what the President cant get anything threw until after the election and we all know how that’s going to go Schumor just said that the people should have a vote this time around about who they want. Have you ever heard such nonsense coming out of that mans mouth before?
Never believe everything the ‘people on TV talking right now’.
They love to gaslight (lie to the people) so everyone gets upset.
ABSOLUTELY! WWTDD. What Would The Dims Do? We know, don’t we. So, for once in our compromising, give them an inch & then (oh, WTF) go ahead & give them a mile, conservative lives, let’s get the damn job done. ?
The court reconvenes October 5th of this year. Most cases heard early in the calendar are not monumental. There is time to go through the election and determine the “lay of the land”. If things turn sour, I’d bet Donald and MItch jam something thru as ugly as it may get. We can’t lose this one. But I honestly think we’re going to be fine. PDJT is at 53% + according to Rasmussen and building. We’ll know for sure as we approach the 1st Presidential Debate on the 29th of this month. Will the Biden camp squirm away? The world wonders….. And then it’s Game, Set, Match!

“ Democrats said last week that they would employ the nuclear option if they take a majority.”
Worth repeating again and again and again
Let Collins, Murkowski, Sasse, Romney et. al,. expose themselves for what they are if they dare – before the election! Lots of us know already, but lots don”t. Bring it on.
