House Intelligence Committee ranking member Devin Nunes discusses the conduct of the Weissmann/Mueller investigation and their blatant destruction of iPhone content to cover their tracks. Within the interview Nunes hits on a very key aspect that doesn’t get enough attention when he says of congress “we don’t have handcuffs or guns.”
This was/is a frequent point made repeatedly in my own contact with House and Senate investigators. All of the information and evidence gathered doesn’t amount to anything if the DOJ and FBI leadership just simply refuse to do anything about it; which leads to the issue with AG Barr saying he will not accept any information from within a political silo.
If, due to his concerns over political optics, the United States Attorney General will not accept, or act upon, any information or evidence from congress;… well, then what exactly is the purpose of a congressional investigation? Information without action is antithetical to its purpose. Democrats use information/evidence from anyone (see Vindman and Adam Schiff), but Republicans do not (see Senator Graham). It is infuriating.
The power of the purse. I would have defunded the FBI.
How ya gonna do that? You can’t even get direct funding to build a wall and you think you can defund an entire agency?

There’s this thing, every 2 years, and the American people can fire every single member of the House, and 1/3 of the Senate. Called “elections.” And they nearly always return the incumbents to their seats.
Well, there’s the rub. Got to vote for the Rs, no matter what, because impeachment, because Supreme Court, etc. I don’t have an easy answer. Or any answer. (Incidentally, I voted my last ballot straight R. Probably will next time.)

Here in crappyfornia, they passed a law that the top 2votegetters in the primary, go on to the general. Sooo, you end of voting for the chamber of commerce loving republican because otherwise you could end up with a pick between 2 Democrats. The last guy who was going to try to primary him said he was going to New York to see if he could get funding. His district is huge and mainly conservative and doesn’t really care what you think. His seat is a lock until the dems get it.

I hear you. The Tea Party was destroyed by the GOP (and then the Dems through Obama’s IRS!) because it didn’t have a national leader. All the potential Tea Party leaders were taken out like Christine O’Donnell, Angle in NV, Sarah Palin, Miller in AK, etc.
This time we have a national leader who they have tried to take out but have failed. He’s our champion and while we still have him and he still has his strength, we should formally break from the GOP and form a new party.
Buchanan and Perot were right. They tried with the Reform Party but neither ever won and had the national recognition. Trump has all of that plus amazing political and organizational skill and tremendous charisma. If anyone can pull this off, it would be him.

At this point in time, a third party will end up just like Teddy Roosevelt’s Bull Moose Party. He split the vote of the Republican Party and Woodrow “the commie” Wilson and the Democrat party won the Presidency, That led to WWI entrance of the US and the League of Nations (pre-runner of the UN) and set the stage for FDR and his socialist crap. Third parties split the vote of party it is trying to remove and serves the opposing parties platforms. It doesn’t work.
While President Trump is the head of the GOP, we need to give him super majorities in both the house and senate. During the next four years any Republican that votes against any platform that President Trump wants needs to be targeted and removed. That is the way you change a party…not start a new party. Itt would take half a generation to get any traction if that party in not infiltrated and destroyed like the Tea Party was, Give President Trump that super majority and we can find out who needs to be removed.
I am aware of the Bull Moose scenario but I’m talking post election. If this is done post election led by Trump, then it would give the new American Party 4 years to form ahead of next presidential election. The GOP and Dems can merge formally, but I’d wager that 90% of the GOP and 20-30% of Dems would leave and join the new Party. It’s the only way imo.
The GOP is a party that is fundamentally globalist. Trump’s force of personality has forced the GOP to America First but that took a lot of effort. After his next term they are likely to turn it back. I would hate to see all that work undone. It should be enshrined in a new political party. The movement must be made permanent! I just don’t trust the GOP to make that happen.
In all honesty, duf, PTrump hasn’t been the best at endorsing constitutionalists running for office. I don’t necessarily take his recommendations. He sometimes chooses party animals instead of stalwart constitutionalists.

I use to think the same thing. But recently a blogger on the site “Red State” who was a former USG prosecutor has a couple of posts that show that the slow pace of preparing prosecution is well warranted if you want prosecutions to stick. I highly recommend you read them. I find them quite persuasive.
So we have two competing narratives.
1) Barr and Durham are slow rolling the prosecutions until after the elections. In other words, we are being “Huber’ed” Trey Gowdy and Tom Fitton believes this
2) While the wheels of justice grind slowly eventually they will produce results. Evidence is that bread crumbs like Brennan being interviewed, the Special Prosecutor phones being wiped and that Mueller was under consideration for FBI Director are dropping. Paul Sperry and Adam Housey are in this camp.
Nobody knows for sure. But as Sundance says “live your best life now” and work like a dog for the Republicans even the RINO’s. We have to clear the deck for Trump. The Kefauver Congressional hearings, also known as the Special Committee on Organized Crime, were televised in the early 1950s, and threw a spotlight in interstate crime. I saw this addressed somewhere in recent days – I think it was shipwreckcrew… but it answered my questions around why the phones were not backed up. Apparently – roughly speaking – these particular phones were only synced internally purposefully (for security) and they do not back up to ‘the cloud’. If that is not correct, another piece of info (I think out of Dan Bonginos Friday show – that what they did (every one of them) was before they ‘forgot their passwords’, was put the phones on airplane mode. This would mean that as the phone was reset (due to the 11 attempts to enter incorrect password), when the reset occurs, the phones would not ‘automatically’ back up before doing so (to the cloud).- which apparently they do?

The main two problems I see with the color revolution line of thinking is that the messaging from the revolution party isn’t positive or inspiring at all and the mass demonstrations (which, to be fair, aren’t exactly massive) started up WAY too early and utilize absolutely terrible messaging.
People are tired of it. Most everyone I’ve spoken with in person is able to see right through them. They picked the wrong “heroes”. They picked the wrong demonstrators. They picked the wrong COUNTRY.
Even with the MSM in alignment with those in positions of power, they have shown time and again that they are incapable of applying their influence in a detrimental way against real patriots.
I’m open to changing my mind should things go south after the election, but until then I’m hopefully optimistic.
Hope is never a good strategy. Prepare. Will you be able to prepare after the election? Who knows. I have lived in Florida for almost 40 years and have had to prepare for many hurricanes. Only once did it mean anything, but man was I glad I was prepared then.
Too much mayhem for my liking, especially with people and governmental agencies that are politically connected and in the know saying there’s going to be violence after the election. I intend to be able to protect myself, my home, and my family. All I want is for me and my family to be able to live our lives in peace. With the passage of each day that seems to be less and less likely.
One thing I’ll leave you with. I’ll never give up or lose hope in our country. But every so often the tree of liberty has to be watered. Our government is corrupt but even more importantly Trump has outed them and Sundance has documented it thoroughly. It’s all here for you if you are motivated enough to read and learn about it. And with that, if you have a conscience, you can’t go back thinking that everything is alright.

I’m not sure it matters. They intend to seize control; the build-up (color revolution) is just pretext & pretense.
If a Supreme Court decision or military “action” removes Trump from office, they don’t care if a large swath (or even a majority) of the public understands what occurred. They could even see that as a positive, calculating that people will decide that “it’s all over” and resign themselves to the new junta, err, I mean the Biden administration.
Let’s face it — we have folks that right now, for past crimes, could face life in prison, if not the death penalty / firing squad (for treason / sedition). They may too for the “Transition Integrity Project” and the associated planning. So in a sense they have nothing to lose by going all-in on a coup / color revolution. They’ve passed the Rubicon.
And we can’t rely upon our FBI, DOJ or Pentagon brass to do the right thing — many (though not all) are Deep State and/or Obama appointees. They too are past the Rubicon.
At this point I believe that our best (only?) choices are:
1) To publicize as far and wide as we can what they’re up to NOW — that does make it harder for them to get people to accept on the other side, and it may spook them from going through with it if they believe that the whistle has been blown with a critical mass of the public (e.g., they (or some of them) may decide that so far they’re only chargeable with conspiracy, not execution, and may flip on the others before execution in order to get a plea deal); and
2) Get everyone to understand what’s at stake and so vote for Trump, even if they don’t particularly care for him. In a recent post on Trevor Loudon’s site ( https://www.trevorloudon.com/2020/09/joe-biden-to-boldly-go-where-no-marxist-has-gone-before/ ) I wrote:

I don’t know where you live or where you are finding the people that you are talking to. I live in Seattle and I can tell you the most of the people who live around me have a very different view. I have a friend who honestly looked me in the eye and expressed deep concern about the right wing groups like Proud Boys and Boogaloo boys conducting all of the violence in places like Portland and other places. I started to say something but I realized that it wasn’t going to do any good and would only make me angry. The brainwashing is deep. The way I see it, the ‘simplest’ solution to this ‘Color Revolution’ that the forces of evil are using and will continue to employ to call into question the integrity of our November 3, 2020 presidential election will NEED, above all, an election close enough electorally on election night to protract and extend the outcome past election night for as long as possible, as the DNC and the Mainstream Enemedia will ham-handedly try to cast doubt on the legitimate voting systems of the 41 states without ‘total mail-in voting,’ i.e. traditional in-person voting plus traditional absentee voting, so as to not be able to tally a PDJT electoral college victory the night of the election, which, itself, would ensure the integrity of the overall election process as a whole, which ‘total mail-in voting’ was designed to cast doubt upon.
Of the 9 states with the ‘mail-in voting’ that will be sending ballots to ALL registered voters (and probably even unregistered voters, the dead, felons, etc) WA,OR, CA, UT, NV, CO, and HI comprise 99 electoral votes and will be the late Mountain and West Coast vote tallies. VT, NJ and DC, are also sending out ballots to ALL registered voters and account for only 20 electoral votes, for a total of 119 electoral votes which the Soros-DNC-Mainstream Enemedia complex are hoping beyond hope will keep them in the race until January and beyond.

This “duty to inform” is ,in effect, what Jensen danced around in the Motion to Dismiss by disclosing the EXHIBITS showing the set-up of Flynn.
I say “danced around” for the following reasons:
1) The MtD did not invoke GIGLIO as reasons to disclose those exhibits.
2) The MtD and it’s exhibits were not used to demonstrate FBI “misconduct” (though it’s obvious) but to demonstrate the FBI had no legitimate reason to interview Flynn in the first place and in the second place……Flynn’s “lies” weren’t material because they already knew what Flynn said on the phone call and didn’t need to ASK him what he said.

Compelled testimony (like the IG report or testimony under oath in front of Congress) can not be used as evidence in a criminal case (such as Durham’s) per Garrity v. New Jersey. The criminal investigators must be able to prove the criminality of any acts without using testimony that is obtained through compulsion (non-voluntary). I think this may explain why Barr won’t (or can’t) use a lot of the “silo” material. Just a thought.

In 2016, internal auditors within the National Security Agency (NSA) delivered a report to Admiral Mike Rogers which describes massive illegal querying activity being done by the FBI’s private contractors against the NSA’s internet traffic collection database.
This report concerned illegal use of the FISA 702 surveillance “about” query tool. These searches were being conducted without a valid legal predicate and in clear violation of the Fourth Amendment’s proscription against unreasonable search and seizure.
The full story of Spygate is much larger and much more insidious than what the NSA’s 2016 audit report describes. However, that single NSA report is the one all-important document which can be most effective in exposing the true character of President Obama’s spying on Americans.
The NSA is operated by the Department of Defense. President Trump should, on his own authority as Commander in Chief, immediately declassify and release the full content of that 2016 audit report.
Just revealing the fact that illegal querying was being done by the FBI’s contractors isn’t enough. Several of those FBI contractors became key players in the Spygate story as it evolved between 2016 and 2019. The release must include any specific information the NSA’s audit report either contains or references which identifies which specific FBI contractors were illegally performing which specific database queries against which specific persons and organizations.
With the full contents of the NSA’s report being formally released, the revelations concerning the Obama administration’s spying activity against their political opponents could not be ignored or discounted. Especially so if Admiral Rogers publicly confirms that the report was in fact the reason why he shut down contractor access to the NSA database in April, 2016.
Once these revelations concerning illegal use of the NSA’s database have entered the public consciousness, the initial impact of that release can then be expanded upon to introduce other equally explosive aspects of the full Spygate story.
The president has a sworn duty as Commander in Chief to defend the constitution. Defense of the constitution in our current circumstances now demands that the American people understand what happened with Spygate. The voting public deserves to know the full extent of the previous administration’s spying against Americans, and they need to know it well before the November 3rd election.
Full release of the NSA’s 2016 audit report is the one single action which can most quickly move the process of exposing this illegal and unconstitutional spying into high gear.

We already have three parties actually. The Trump supporters, the never-Trump Rs, and the Ds. Around the treehouse, we usually count two of those as the uniparty, but that doesn’t change the situation.
In some (or many) situations, the Trump party, whatever it would be called, could even recommend voting for the standard Republican candidate. I think this is similar to what the Conservative Party in New York does.
In the voters’ pamphlet for our recent primary, several candidates identified themselves specifically as “Trump Republicans.” At least one candidate identified himself as an “anti-Trump Republican.”
So maybe it’s coming.

Glad you posted this, I have been saying this to anyone who will listen, but to no avail, they all think it can’t happen here. It is happening here and they still deny to themselves because Trump is all they think the media has produced. And he must go.

When SD first told us about his adventures in DC and the silos of information and the investigators not wanting any information from political sources I asked the same question. I thought, “How can congress provide any oversight? What’s the purpose of the congressional investigations if the information can’t be acted upon?”
And then I got cynical: Maybe the purpose of the congressional investigations is to taint any potential evidence and so it can’t be used.

I have my issues with congressional investigations and you’re absolutely correct that investigations which ultimately lead to nothing are a waste of time and resources. That said, the AG is in a tough position. If he accepts information from investigations done when the right is in charge, it would similarly have to accept information from the left when they’re in charge. While that’s a perfectly acceptable position, how do you not come across as looking political if you accept and prosecute information from one side but not the other? It’s an incredibly difficult position to be placed in. That’s why I think Barr chose the path he did and why what you did is fantastic. You’re not a “partisan” investigator.
