Red States, Blue States, Red Regions and Blue Regions present an incredible disparity within our republic; I’m curious what is the current status of the COVID lifestyle near you. What is going on in/around your town, city, region or hamlet?
Having traveled extensively during this COVID crisis it is quite amazing the scale of difference between cities and states. The media has been reporting in large generic terms, but the stuff that matters is how it impacts your life; your daily function. That’s what we are all interested in.
Right now those who wish to “fundamentally change” our nation are waging a full frontal assault against our constitutional republic. The bombardment seems overwhelming.
It is remarkable how different life amid COVID is within each state, even when two states are right next to each other; and often even between two cities within the same state.
…So how is it your area?
In order to support the most important political objectives of the DNC writ large in the 2020 election, COVID-19 hype is essential:
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot easily achieve ‘mail-in’ voting; which they desperately need in key battleground states in order to control the outcome.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot shut down rallies and political campaigning efforts of President Trump; which they desperately need to do in key battleground states.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot block the campaign contrast between an energetic President Trump and a physically tenuous, mentally compromised, challenger.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats do not have a mechanism to keep voters isolated from each-other; limiting communication and national debate adverse to their interests. COVID-19 panic pushes the national conversation into the digital space where Big Tech controls every element of the conversation.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot keep their Blue state economies easily shut-down and continue to block U.S. economic growth. All thriving economies are against the political interests of Democrats.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot easily keep club candidate Joe Biden heavily controlled and sealed inside the bubble; where the electorate is not exposed to visible signs of his dementia.
♦Without COVID-19 panic it becomes more difficult for Big Tech to censor voices that would outline the fraud and scheme. With COVID-19 panic they have a better method and an excuse.
♦Without COVID-19 panic Democrats cannot advance, influence, or organize their preferred presidential debate format, a ‘virtual presidential debate’ series.
♦Without COVID-19 panic the economy would rebound quickly and people would go back to work. This is against the interests of Democrats.
All of these, and more, strategic outcomes are based on the manufactured weaponization of the COVID-19 virus to achieve a larger political objective. There is ZERO benefit to anyone other than Democrats for the overwhelming hype surrounding COVID-19.
It is not coincidental that all corporate media are all-in to facilitate the demanded fear that Democrats need in order to achieve their objectives. Thus there is an alignment of all big government institutions and multinationals to support the same.
Nothing is coincidental.
Everything is political.
Every second that you live your life with thankfulness for the abundance within it; every moment that we CHOOSE to engage with fellowship; every day that we accept guidance from God – however you define him to be; and every moment we cherish this time to be a beacon of optimism; is a moment that we withstand that barrage and hold the flag in place. It is a genuinely patriotic position not to succumb to the attack.
We must withstand this onslaught and rally to the origin of our true national spirit. We must rally to a standard of Americanism and accept this is not that. In essence, we must individually take a stand. Purposefully, deliberately and with forethought, we must engage those around us to get rid of this sense of foreboding.
This approach is how we win the larger battle.
All around us, in every tribe and region, there are people who need you to show them the strength that you have. Strength of spirit. Strength of fellowship that you will not relent from expressing. No matter what noise is shouting from the loudspeakers we must withstand it; we must make eye contact and remain joyful. We cannot allow despair to be the status quo.
Our MAGA message is optimistic; and we must fight against any tendency to allow the leftist hatred and scheme against our American value system to impact delivery of that message… #Trump2020

I wear a mask to enter the local Y and grocery stores. Here’s one interesting thing. Wife and I both wear a Gadsden mask (Yellow, Don’t Tread on Me). Or MAGA, KAG, or Trump 2020. We have had multiple people compliment the masks. Many of them appear to be 20’s or so. Not one negative response.
Forgot to mention, this is in Central Kansas. Wichita, Hutchinson, and surrounding counties.
Jefferson County on north Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Covid is the official religion of the ruling political class who who are 100% behind the governor Jay Inslee’s dictatorship. Individual counties are at the mercy of the local public health dictator. Unfortunately, there is no second opinion in a public health dictatorship so our county is shut down until an effective vaccine is available. If I could afford to move, I would already be gone.
I quit talking to most people after receiving an invitation to join the county volunteer informant squad. For now I have access to a garden and greenhouse which has helped with the isolation.
I love that area.
Las Vegas, where it’s 95 w/unhealthy air quality at 7:30pm and the sky has been a yellow-ish orange all day thanks to Gov Gavin’s wildfires next door, which are forcing significant “climate change” on the entire western U.S. NV remains in sort of a modified Phase 2 limbo while we wait for our Gov to grow a brain. He holds pressers every 2 weeks or so and tweets up a storm, and at this point is being savaged by NV residents every time he opens his mouth or sends a tweet. I see that as a positive. More folks are catching on.
Masks are mandatory wherever I go, which isn’t far or often, because I’m truly sick of it all. On the upside, the holiday road traffic returning to California from the Strip today was back to pre-COVID levels – very encouraging for our local economy.
Reno area here; pretty much the same up north as you describe; also the smoke from the California fires are definitely ruining the air here too.
We live on our little ranch SW of an East Texas college town between Houston and Dallas. Little by Texas standards, ginormous by California standards. I travel wide for our business. The TexMex population of south Texas are true believers. I have been run out of two stores by staff. In Pampa, north Texas, store staff wore masks at throat level and customers were mask-less. My buddy Bob’s business is computer services specific to doctor’s offices. He visits several per week. Bob reports that all front desk staff wear masks. In the back office, all masks fly at half staff. The compliance rate in the stores I visit north of Houston is 98%. I’m very disappointed in our in our population.
Not gonna tell you all, you will want to move here. Hint: we have guns and know how to use them.
good for you, Pale
… and that’s an honest good for you, not a snarky good for you
I know you nimrodman, your good!
Can’t be Wyoming, because they have the guns, but have had mixed results with house arrest.
So I will take “what is South Dakota” for the win Pale Rider.
Just kidding, you have a right to your privacy just like anyone else.
Please be well.
The gun thing is a joke, we have a group of ignorant hillbilly hicks here. You know the type, love God, read the Bible, shoot, hunt, help thy neighbor dummies.
People that shun the light of the left and embrace the bliss of southern wisdom, sorry I mean ignorance.
Who prance around with American flags on their god awful trucks, smell and guzzle fuel. The kind who ‘sweat’ to make a living and appreciate a door held open, even say thank you. Can you imagine?
They drink beer, chew tobacco and the schools want the parents evolved, what a mess. They wave at you, in your car, when you drive by. Can you even imagine how stupid that is.
Oh, and get this, they all love the rebel flag, yeah I said it. They actually put it up.
By the way, we don’t have riots. The last protest was for the protection of our kids.
I think I went insane like the rest here. I saw this poor fellow walking down the road with a gas can in 97 degree heat and picked him up and drove him to the gas station and back. I think I lost my mind. Do you know he had the balls to say thanks. (I’m shaking my head in disbelief.(not really)).
Reparations here plentiful it’s, GET A JOB AND SHUT UP! And we all get along, imagine that.
Sounds like heaven to me…
Or Iowa, if you’re into Field of Dreams!
Thank you for this response. Sounds really nice. Maybe I will pass through some day.
Would it be far to say that people where you are also do not mind a day out in nature? Just wondering.
Please be well and thanks again.
Pale rider , are we not brothers in the last refuge?
Why not tell us location? Isn’t that the idea of sharing what’s up in our local area? Come on brother!
Yeah, I’ve only recently started publicly disclosing where I live. Before then, I was still a little gun-shy from how things had been when I first came here. Back during the Trayvon days, it wasn’t just Sundance and the ladies who had to watch their backs. Anyone who became known as a “regular” here, especially those who seemed to be making a difference, were targeted. So yeah, not many people gave out a lot of personal info. But of course fast-forwarding to NOW, if anything things are even MORE dangerous now. The difference is, though — for me at least — is that I no longer CARE! The slime wanna come after me, well… I guess I’ll just have to be ready for them. Some days I’d almost welcome it, if ya know what I mean. 😉
Wake County NC… Schools closed kids learning remotely… ECU sent kids home just after being there 2 weeks, now learning remotely… Grand dtr had COVID..contracted at college… quarantined for 10 days, nothing more than a cold.. sniffles etc… over it now..
Masks required in stores (I never wear one) most sheeple do.. No one walking dogs or jogging wearing masks… haven’t seen anyone driving w/mask 🙂 Middle grand dtr works in restaurant and they *assume* if someone comes in w/out a mask, it’s a *medical condition*… Things almost appear *normal*
Billings, Montana. Mostly mask wearers per gov’s mandate for some counties. Public schools 100% open. Masks required. High school sports going per usual with only parents spectating. Ate at brew pub Saturday afternoon. Pretty normal feeling other than masks on staff. My kids work for large sporting goods retailer. They are busy with limited availability on some items. I’m a carpenter, home building is crazy busy. Some material shortages popping up. Residential rental vacancies are nonexistent and existing home sales hotter than anytime in our history. Spoke with a game warden, he said state recreational land use is 400% of normal. Bottom line… Billings area and Montana is mostly thriving in spite of our weak minded politicians.
All those New Yorkers had to land someplace.
Southern Utah: we are open and have been, for the most part, all along. Some businesses require masks which I happily wear since mine say “Trump 2020”, “Make America Great Again”, or “Keep America Great”. Generally I am not required to wear a mask & I don’t.
A lawsuit has been filed against the governor who has mandated masks in schools. Schools are open. It was great to see those kids on their way to school.
Last week it was rumored that a couple of busloads of BLM protesters were on their way to St. George to, um, hold a, um, peaceful protest. So two armed militia groups turned out to welcome them. For whatever reason, there were no buses, & there were no protests – peaceful or otherwise.
On the downside: two of my neighbors have Biden/Harris yard signs. BUT my house & one other have tall flagpoles with both the American flag & Trump 2020 flags flying. The rest of our neighbors – approximately 8 households – are not making their political preferences known.
If you think communist mayhem won’t come to your community, you need to think again. We must focus on winning this election.
BadAssGrandma out. ❤???
Teabag–hundreds of us were at that BLM counter-protest in St. George. Across the street at the Iceberg restaurant there were at its height about 40 BLMrs (thankfully peaceful) with the idiot St. George mayor who I’m sure ended any reelection prospects that night. Hundreds more driving by made it enormously clear by honking, waving, thumbs up, etc. that they supported our side with little/no vehicle support to the BLM. The BLM should have been demoralized but that would take some brains to realize that….
Hey, soozword! Great to have a somewhat local kindred spirit here on the CTH. I receive a couple of online newsfeeds and saw that the acting Chief of Police had recently been made CoP. The newly appointed Chief of Police was shown KNEELING at a protest. Probably the one you are talking about. Disgusting pandering just like the mayor. Egads.
Shortly after that protest I drove into St. George on the boulevard of the same name. I was horrified to see a small but visible sign near the Walgreens that said “St. George for BLM”. It was removed fairly quickly but I knew then, for certain, what we are up against here.
My interests tend less toward protesting and more toward the militia since I am an Army vet and firearm qualified and trained.
Folks, our first amendment right is being stripped from us daily. Have you thought about what you are going to do as you peak out your curtains and watch your neighbor’s firearms being confiscated? I have. It doesn’t end well.
We need to focus on winning this election.
Hugs to you, soozword. Thanks for letting me know you are here.
Hugs back, teabag! If you are on Facebook (I know, I know), I find the Utah Business Revival and Liberty Coalition groups very helpful. You would especially like the later because they do firearms training and coordinate with the local militias. They were instrumental in organizing the counter-rally.
There is an upcoming event you might be interested in with its military vehicle theme: “September 17- 6-9 pm. Constitution Day Tactical Parade (Car Rally), starts in Washington Veteran’s Park and ends in Santa Clara and Canyon View Park. Lineup begins at 6 pm, parade begins at 6:30 pm. After party and guest speakers begin at 7:30 to 9 pm at Canyon View Park in Santa Clara.”
Thanks for ALL the info! Hubby is a huge gearhead and we both ADORE anything and everything having to do with cars. Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate Constitution Day! So grateful to have you nearby!
Southern Maryland has the longest lines and highest populations of drive thru testing I have seen while motoring past. Literally lines for blocks and miles. It is as if everyone in the region was told they would get free money if they simply did a drive up test. Very strange and a little alarming.
Lots of (general) flu shot reminder signs. Some signs telling everyone to “mask up” on people’s lawns next to the Biden / Harris and BLM signs.
Mask use is high in the more concentrated areas such a Bethesda and Potomac, but it lessens as you head towards the farm lands of Poolesville. There are many more cyclists and runners on the roads and they do not wear masks (generally). Dog walkers are also not so masked up. High school students will sit in close proximity sans masks (which are normally around their wrists).
Lots and lots of Harris / Biden and BLM signs (even homemade ones created by children) on the lawns. One private school has hung a BLM sign over their front entrance. A few of the private schools are opening and the Governor seems to be easing a little bit due to his book tour and the wish to be considered in the 2024 election cycle.
People seem less scared or concerned in this area and neighbors can be found speaking to each other (sans masks) at times.
All businesses require masks and one also asks for gloves (a health food store). More businesses are closing along this area (as compared to DC), but we will get to Virginia next. Potomac (the town) seems to have a lot of citizens buying very, very large quantities of alcohol.
It is constantly busy along the Potomac River from the District line up to Potomac (the town).
Upstate SC. Retail locations and supermarkets have ‘wear mask’ signs, but do not seem to enforce the policy. I do not wear a mask and find that cashiers and clerks are polite and do not mention masks. The supermarkets are removing the aisle restrictions and 6 ft space markings at the checkout queues. I’ve not encountered a Karen when going mask-less. People in this part of the world are generally cordial and sensible. Which each day it seems that the chinese virus is declining as a factor in every day living.
SC low country here. Most towns, such as Charleston, Summerville, and Gooose Creek, require masks. The irdinance for Mount Pleasant expired but will be voted on again tomorrow and pass. Charleston and Dorchester Counties both require masks, so my last couple shopping trips were to Piggly Wiggly in Moncks Cirner, Berkeley County since none of the require customer masks and The Pig doesn’t have any BLM crap in their website. About 25% were madkless this past Saturday. I was almost ready to break down and wear a mask for the very first time so I could shop at Aldi’s but then found they are all in on BLM. No, thanks. I may go there for organic, free range chicken when I need it but not yet.
I found my list of post-retirement projects and goals in a drawer. Last day was January 24 and last goal was go places, do things, attend festivals, fairs, etc. HAH! They are all cancelled.
I am now in the Denver area. It’s not as bad as NYC or the San Francisco Bay Area, but still a surprising number of people driving and exercising in masks, and they are required EVERYWHERE. It seems the millennials are the biggest mask and 6ft distancing sheeple here. They seem to enjoy it. I’ve been disappointed to see some of the smaller, more conservative areas, a decent drive outside of Denver, are still very strict regarding masks and social distancing, with a large percentage of people wearing them outside, not just in stores. It’s so hot, around 100 degrees, why in the world are people outside in masks? We’re often very vocal about our mask resentment, and find many who agree and are relieved to hear it. Restaurants that have survived seem pretty busy (we ONLY go to those offering DINE-IN), people are out shopping, but there are a lot of vacant storefronts and boarded-up windows. Downtown, outside of restaurant zones, is depressingly quiet and empty. Lots of homeless and encampments. We’ve seen 2 Biden/Harris signs and 2 Trump/Pence signs in Denver. 2 vehicles on the freeway with big Trump/MAGA flags . Visited a tiny mountain town in the middle of nowhere, 99% masks (including toddlers), and half a dozen Biden/Harris signs, no Trump/Pence. Weird place. We think it must be full of people who left Boulder because it wasn’t liberal enough (maybe we’ve missed them, but we have been to Boulder a few times and have seen no Biden or Trump, just some BLM signs). Lots of Trump/Pence signs closer to Colorado Springs. Today, we were sad driving under an overpass where we noticed very large “F the Police” graffiti…and there was a police car driving right behind us. I can’t imagine how that makes them feel 🙁
Hey there – Boulder here !
I’ve seen two Biden-Harris signs/bumper stickers – I laughed out loud at them both (which is unusual for me because living in this Liberal-ville I have been trained to keep my conservative opinions to myself — but now I just don’t care.)
CU is partially open – freshman, etc.. They are testing students every day (spit test) – which seems like a good plan that should allow them to open more robustly. But they haven’t. Students are very cynical and expect the college is going to send them home in early October to finish the semester on line – their tuition is no longer refundable after early October.
Stores are mostly all open. Parking lots are quite crowded. Restaurants are somewhat open but with no students here, there’s no one to work in the restaurants (thus some remain closed.) Regular grocery stores are jammed (Safeway, Krogers). Chic grocery store (Whole Foods) is empty – as a result of bad COVID business practices. My Catholic Church is open. It’s is pretty lose – you can take your mask off if you’re 6-10′ from your neighbor. MD and Hospital is completely “dead”. MD’s complaining that the COVID ward has been empty for many months but regular patients are still not allowed to come in.
I am simply stunned at how bad business practices are killing these businesses and the guys at the top running them really don’t see it.
Traffic is busy – not as busy as it could be but definitely busy.
I saw one dopey BLM painted car, and a couple BLM signs. Of course, there is no diversity in Boulder so these signs are meaningless – just rich trust-funders virtue signalling.
Here in the Pueblo area, everyone is still wearing masks and we truly have had a lot of 100 degree weather. Most people think Jared Polis is just a pompous ass but they do whatever the authorities tell them to do anyway. It has been like this for over a century in Pueblo County. All of our restaurants are open but it seems like the County Health Department has negotiated separate rules for each business to follow if they want to keep their unconstitutional business licenses and be allowed to open. Some places make you sign a register when you come in and don’t seem too worried about the masks. Others, like Walmart, try to stop you and give you a mask if you don’t have one on. Still others try to take your temperature before you notice what they are doing. It is all ridiculous, of course, and everyone knows it. But almost everyone seems to treat it like a necessary nuisance to be endured in order to get on with normal life.
We pretty much dislike the Denver area here, and with good reason. All the State level infrastructure projects seem to be focused on making Denver look like a great place to visit while everywhere else in Colorado we can’t even get a few potholes filled most years. And our kids still aren’t going to normal classrooms despite the fact that there has been only 3 so-called COVID19 deaths among our under 20 population and all of those were between 16 and 19 years old.
Jared Polis is vying to be the most clever of the asshole Democrap Governors. As if there is a prize for that distinction. He is just the son of another rich asshole who wants his lid to be President some day. I would not visit this State until our economy is allowed to get back to normal. We have the same problems that New York, California, Michigan, New Jersey and Minnesota have as far as Government lying with bad statistics, in order to keep us shutdown until at least after the election. But the empty cart keeps coming down the street imploring us to “bring out your dead” as if this was the black plague. All of our stupid people are frightened and we have mail in voting. Imagine that.
Do not enter Colorado without your mask, it can be made of cheese cloth, but you better have it on. We don’t want our criminals to be noticed when they wear one.
Am in CSprings and still cannot believe how big the sheople flock is for this area billed as conservative. Also cannot believe that our little dictator Polis’ can still pull off a health emergency after 6 months.
We visited Pueblo. Bought some fantastic fresh tortillas to take home. Much nicer than Denver, friendlier people and much cleaner. However, it was 100+ degrees and I about passed out in an antique store where I was required to wear a mask – so hot and stuffy in there. Ridiculous. I notice Gov Polis is on the China-friendly list of Governors, so I’m not surprised at the level of Covid hysteria here.
Things have changed. It is 40 degrees and dropping. We are expecting snow from late afternoon thru tomorrow morning. If you don’t like the weather here, just wait about an hour 🙂
Upstate SC. Retail locations and supermarkets have ‘wear mask’ signs, but do not seem to enforce the policy. I do not wear a mask and find that cashiers and clerks are polite and do not mention masks. The supermarkets are removing the aisle restrictions and 6 ft space marks at the checkout queues. I’ve not encountered a Karen when going mask-less. People in this part of the world are generally cordial and sensible. Which each day it seems that the chinese virus is declining as a factor in every day living.
Here in the suburbs outside of Philly, it’s remarkable how empty the roads are after rush hour. Resturants and sports bars all close earlier than they used to. And that’s not to mention the number of establishments that have gone under during Herr Wolf’s scamdemic restrictions.
The gym chain Retro Fitness just had its third franchise shutdown in the region. Too many people are still frightened by the scamdemic fear mongering. 25% allowable capacity will cause many more businesses to fail, which is of course the demonrats plan.
Paper towels still seem to be in short supply in some grocery stores. Why anyone would still be hording paper products goes to show how well the fear and panic has worked. But most other products seem to be in good shape.
Still can’t eat inside most fast food chains. The ‘Rona only attacks customers but is very afraid of employees. ?
Anderson, Indiana:
They just ran the 72nd annual Little 500 here in my town. The little 500 is a 500 lap sprint car race run on a 1/4 mile high banked “bull ring” track. When they put 33 cars on that track there isn’t 50 yards between the rear row and the front row when they start. It has been run traditionally the night before the Indy 500 but was postponed until last weekend. They sold out at the 1/2 capacity allowed by law. But the law could do nothing about the big tail gate parties in the parking lot.
It’s a contrast. Some people are still scared witless and wearing masks driving alone in their vehicles, but most people are like me and recognize this crap for the BS it is!
BTW this truck driver has been given a much needed break. Been home for three straight days.
Who can convince Trump to fire Faucci and replace him with Dr. Harvey Risch from Yale? Risch said that we need to distribute Hydroxychloroquine. If HQC is distributed freely then the economy can open, crowds can gather and there will be no excuse to fraud the vote by mail.
One humble cheap medication can help turn this all around.
It’s just ‘amazing’ that in the equatorial tropics malaria zone where folks eat HQC like candy that there is virtually NO Kung Flu………simply amazing, ain’t it!!
Northern Virginia is a mixed bag of everything.
Less mask use by far, and a lot more people seeming to speak with one another outdoors, sans the mask.
An occasional Trump / Pence bumper sticker here or there, which no one seems to mess with. Lots of Biden / Harris signs, but not very many BLM signs. Lots of Hate has no… signs.
What is interesting about this area is the number of businesses that have recently closed up.
The number of people wearing BLM gear (mainly T shirts and hats) and the number of people who just seemed to have arrived in the area, seems to have increased.
Some small retailers are open with restrictions, most restaurants have jumped through hoops to offer outdoor dining, and some of the hotels seem back in business after having been closed for a while (the hotels in this area are often populated by foreign nationals and government employees visiting either their headquarters or the big weapons contractors).
Traffic, which was gone for months, is beginning to make a comeback.
It is a really mixed bag in this region, but the loss of businesses is what I have noticed the most.
Sounds like there is a buildup of agitators in your area. Something is afoot! Stay safe, Simple Citizen!
Many, many thanks avocadodipp.
Yes, the District is getting ready for the storm. The three areas I described tonight could be in for some rough times this autumn. We are praying it will either not come or the PDJT will shut it down ASAP as a security measure.
Again, thank you!
gulf coast florida…outside of city can dine in restaurants without masks…stores require masks but you don’t get acosted by employees if you don’t. banks are bad because most headquarters are in another state. most churches open. our governor has it under control and there will be no more lockdowns
Sundance.
Somethings I have noticed.
1) The Covid cases and deaths follow a consistent pattern. Lowest day Sunday, slightly up Monday, up BIG Tuesday, declining every day to a low Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This is very suspicious. No large number theory would account for this.
2) Worldometers is always higher than official Texas death counts every day.
3) IHME “projections” show little impact of “second ” wave on Asian “Mongoloids.”
4) Could it be that the Covid virus was engineered to kill non Chinese?
5) What is strange is the “second” wave is projected to kill many more per day than the first wave — that is unusual for a virus. Only a significant “gain of function” engineered to skip over normal/ natural selection over long time mutations could be inferred from this. So, is the “second wave” because of Bill Gates IHME knows that a new modified/more virulent virus will be let loose in October?
Or maybe it has already been released as October may be too late to get a spike that could effect the election.
#1 is a simple reflection of the work week
the same pattern is reflected in all the graphs, going back to March
nobody’s there counting / testing on the weekends
so low numbers on the weekend and then all those accumulated back-dated results swamp out with big numbers Tuesday
keep in mind, these are reported cases; they’re a function of when they’re reported, not necessarily that they tested positive that particular day or even the test result came back that day
Eastern Kentucky – Gov Andy Beshear has mandated another month for masks! Everyone is wearing them, where a month ago very few were. Can’t go in to any store without a mask. There is a Wendy’s in town with the lobby open – one would think it would be packed full of people, but no – very few will sit in the lobby (most use the drive-thru). The sheeple have been brainwashed.
Democrats talk all day long about the importance of science, but Beshear has turned his back on the CDC – he says their new rules are “reckless.” Looks like Beshear is trying to keep the people frighten and distrustful of the Fed (Trump).
https://wfpl.org/ky-governor-breaks-with-cdc-on-new-testing-guidance/
On Beshear’s Facebook site, there are a large number of Trolls giving praise to Andy – saying what a wonderful governor he is – they attack anyone who disagrees. The trolls are from all over the country. In other words, they are obviously on the Democrats payroll – smoke & mirrors. Pathetic!
https://www.facebook.com/pg/GovAndyBeshear/posts/
avocadodipp,
Isn’t most of Kentucky conservative, with the exception of Louisville?
Sorry if I am misunderstanding why the citizens would allow such a situation and not threaten impeachment.
Any details would be appreciated if you have the time.
Best,
Simple Citizen
Simple Citizen,
I will say this – the governor has dictated everyone must wear a mask in public. You can’t go into a grocery store, restaurant, or convenience store without one, so people wear them. Privately, no one wears them and they think they are worthless – Andy Beshear will not be re-elected.
I lived in western Kentucky for 9 years, was in Tennessee for a year, and am now in eastern KY. I find Kentucky a paradox – most people are conservative to very conservative and religious, but the Democrat party is big here. Paducah and Louisville are Democrat – Lexington has a Republican mayor, but you wouldn’t know it (extremely liberal). Many mayors are Democrat.
Kentucky was a slave state and in the Confederacy – the Democrat Party is the party of slavery, so my somewhat educated guess is the party has been handed down for generations. Several years ago an elderly KY gentleman told me his father would roll-over in his grave if his son voted Republican – it’s greatly instilled in the people’s minds.
But then you know Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell are the senators, which I find strange.
I have been out talking to many people here. They are all aware of what’s going on and are voting for Trump.
Trump is the first President in my lifetime to forcefully, clearly, and unashamedly express his Christian views – people are responding. Before, Democrats and Republicans all sounded the same.
Hawaii under stay-at-home order, probably will be re-issued for another 2 weeks this Thursday
Beaches and parks closed. You can get in the ocean but can’t sit or lie on the sand
Mandatory mask when out of the house
No tourism reopening, a couple small pilot programs for “Hotel Bubble” – you must remain in your supervised hotel grounds bubble and no offsite excursions or sightseeing
People who rent a bed and breakfast surreptitiously get arrested and sent home
Not from Hawaii, but I just like this guy’s ‘mask’ – I reckon he knows his way around big-bore carbeurators

nimrodman,
Great post as always; thanks.
How much longer can Hawaii go without a tourist market to economically support the state? Seems to me that many businesses are going to be lost pretty soon if they have not already closed up.
Best,
Simple Citizen
Hawaii ALREADY cannot go without a tourist market
It’s existing on hopium money
Pretty soon they won’t be able to float City or State bonds if banks know what’s good for themselves
The only solution I can see is that Dems here and in various other Dem states hang their future on being able to again control Congress and the Presidency, at which time they’ll issue the state bailout money they’re trying to bulldoze PresTrump with right now
“We want $3 Trillion and for it to be a negotiation you MUST at least meet us in the middle (TM)”
See how that works? So $1.5 Til for now
Whenever Dems can get control, there’ll be another $5 or $10 Trillion dished out
Bank on it
We got a maybe 4-yr reprieve if we can re-elect our guy, but after that – Katie Bar the Door!
Wow! Thank you for your response.
As I have never been to Hawaii and do not know much about the state, I was just sort of guessing that tourism was a major part of the economy. As for the hopium, I did not have a clue.
My good thoughts and prayers go out to you nimrodman. Any chance you will leave?
Best…
No, I’m a surfer – if you’re a surfer and make it to hawaii, it’s rare that you leave
Here’s a local news site, not much on budget matters, been awhile since I’ve seen an article on that but I think they’re existing on deficit spending and will be well in the red for a long time unless they get the big Nancy Dem bailout down the line
https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/
the news site portrays incompetence in testing, incompetence in distributing unemployment funds (how frikkin hard is that?), and the biggest thing they’re spun up on since the weekend is some guy who set up a pop-up mojito stand on the beach but they’ve knuckled him under to the point he’s on TV going “sorry … sorry …. sorrry”
I gotta give you an “A” for effort spelling carburetor, almost made it!
It’s a bitch of a word that I always had trouble with.
Thanks, Walt
Where the hell’s spell check when you need it?
It’s always mangling my words when I don’t
Second that. It’s nonspellcheck for me.
He has a tin hat too.
yeah, that’s good for blocking gamma rays
and aerosol fallout from the chemtrails
Best COVID19 mask I have seen yet. If that one was mine, I might start wearing a mask just for the grins!
Rural Illinois. Covid is essentially nonexistent. The county reports on additional cases each week but I just don’t see people dropping. Restaurants, churches, etc. arrange for distancing. Casually, people gather and usually don’t mask. For shopping, church, and public activities – mask wearing is now just “what you do”, kind of like when people would always put a hat on in public in past generations. Its just become “the way it is”.
Central VA. Today I heard LIVE music for the first time in months at a Daniel Gade event. The band was great, it felt wonderful to tap to the beat, to hear voices SINGING. I do not have the words to explain what that felt like, to see and hear musicians on a stage playing LIVE, to be surrounded by happy Patriots on a warm September day to listen to Daniel tell his amazing story.
It was the America I know and love, a band, balloons, flags, Veterans wearing their hats, people wearing their Americana couture, a few dogs here and there, children running around. There was lemonade, beer, hot dogs, and tomato sammiches! Simply a great afternoon, and no one was wearing a mask. Please look Gade up, he is running against the wretched Mark Warner, and if you are so inclined volunteer for him or send a few dollars.
Rewind to last week, I went for a doctor’s visit in Commieville and before you can enter the building they give you a mask if you are not wearing one, make you use hand sanitizer, go down a list of questions, then do a fever check. If you pass, they put a YELLOW dot on you to let everyone know you were cleared. I am still upset about the yellow dot, I was experiencing déjà vu to an era that I wasn’t born in. I don’t know how to explain it, other than it creeped me out.
The latest peeve is that all veterinarians in my area will not let you enter the building w/your pet, the mask thing doesn’t apply. The vet missed several concerns I have because I was not allowed to be in on the check-up. I had to write everything down, communicate by phone w/her while sitting in the parking lot. A $450 check up mind you, and an upset, confused dog.
Where I live it is like living w/a demarcation line, the rural county where I live no one wears a mask, and the next county w/Commieville, you can be penalized w/a fine if caught w/out a mask. My patience is wearing thin w/whole Covid and mask BS.
I love staying in the car, letting them take my dog, and then conversing with the vet by phone. I also love having take out brought to my car. I understand many restaurants will continue that practice.
In AZ the rules are relaxed, people mostly still wearing masks but I have yet to see anyone fighting over it. No riots that I’ve heard of since that idiot youtuber got themselves arrested, though there are idiots trying to cancel a journalist at ASU and worrying that the dean there isn’t cucked. Mesa seems to be one of the few cities not yet affected by rioters. I think that even the covid numbers are going down. In general, I haven’t seen any business I frequent closed down, though most have reduced hours now. I’ll be working from home well past the election and we haven’t had any issues with that.
We got an idiot senator in 2018 thanks to cheating, but the leadership hasn’t fully cucked yet. If anything, I have more confidence with McCain gone.
Central Valley Ca. Devin Nunes Country. Devin’s wife an elementary school teacher at a great school is being harassed daily from outside agitators. Always happens during election. Local groceries Mask are required most wear but I’ve noticed many who don’t while shopping. I don’t and encourage others who don’t. Doctors office a very tall older white man lectured me as we waited at the elevator 15’ apart because I pulled my mask down to sneeze and didn’t pull up fast enough, and with my back to him. Lectured me when I turned to enter the elevator and the fight was on. It didn’t end well with much verbal altercation outside the elevator and the checkin desk. I called him a Karen…. and a Biden voter. Again it didn’t end well and he was as vocal as I. I don’t shop, travel or do much other than work and family time. Many angry people who are fed up., which is why the mask wearing has become less. Ca. Is on fire but we’re used to that.
You should have called him a racist. Turn the tables on them. They won’t know how to react because most of them were indoctrinated in Alinksy and haven’t read the book.
Edmond, OK.
Waited in line to buy ammo this morning. Had the best time visiting with others. Somewhat of a peaceful protest.
Masks mandated but not enforced, Academy Sports.
Same at Home Depot and 7 Eleven.
Still at least 80/20 with masks.
Participated in a Drive for 45 vehicle flag rally Saturday. Fun, fun, fun!
Grass roots group has grown to over 2K
over the weekend.
Lots of honks and thumbs up through out the OKC area.
Trucks-18 wheelers- HONK, HONK, HONK!
Old Glory and Trump flags rising in neighborhoods and on vehicles.
Base understands, is energized, and ready.
Paul Ryan gave/sold our Dist. 5 seat away in ’18. Oklahoma wants and will get it back in November.
Trump Pence 2020!
Hey The Far Side – I’m in Edmond as well. I had no idea a out the Drive for 45. I was actually hoping that Neece would win the primary but I’ll settle for Bice as long as she knocks Horn out of office.
As i hear how some of the country is having to deal with their Democrat leaders and put up with all that crap, I have to say I find myself saying almost at least once a day how thankful I am to be in Oklahoma and particularly Edmond!
Eastern King County WA (Western WA): pretty ordinary, a few wearing masques, most not, except inside commercial buildings. Our range mandates masques but only a handful wears them. General sense: people know it is politically motivated sadism, very many giving it the No Way.
Our political class — yesterday’s political class — had lost their political base as long ago as 2008. And they knew it, which is why they put forth a novel twit with an ideology they thought they could work to their longevity. Now they hold positions but have visibly, to themselves even, lost their political base and that panics them, unsurprisingly. I mean Ds and Rs of the Bush/Reagan sheaf. I am looking at the Brookings / AEI crowd. They have lacked a political base since at least 2008. Now, Ds are The American Red Army and Reagan/Bush Rs are politically homeless, which condition, with their scratching to maintain prestigious jobs, monies, access to attractive bedmates, and, effectively, titles of nobility, reveals the depth of their greed and envy, which have been there all along, but hidden by their family names, job titles, income levels, expensive threads, discrete interlocutors, and a soporific citizenry. We have one party now and it has an American political base, is an American sinew, has an American sense of humor — the follow-on to the TEA Party movement, whatever one wishes to name it. It is decisively huge, and actually that is not good for us. We are a two-party political system — life is a two-party system — which keeps everyone trending towards honesty and creativity in domestic and foreign affairs. By uniting back around 1965, thinking they could ignore thereby their political base — Americans — Ds and Rs, the NGO cloud comprising the likes of Ford, Brookings, Rockefeller, Carnegie in their van, set themselves to operate without a political base. That arrogant overreach was — can only be — a losing proposition.
(Orlando, Florida) Everything is back to normal, even the morning, after school and rush hour traffic is back( normally i’d be upset about the traffic, but now I consider it a good thing, it means people are working again and making a living??). Stores are still making people wear masks, but that is about it on the COVID front.
Love the Pooh and Piglet photo. Huge Piglet fan here?????
Here in N.CA where Nancy can get a haircut, but I cannot … unless it is done outside in the parking lot … Gavin Newsom is not going to relinquish his COVID Power anytime soon. He adores himself during his daily 1hr. long lectures about “science”, “data”, and “shutdowns”. And another heat wave brought a high of 107 today, with a probable high of 115 on the asphalt parking lot … so a haircut is out of the question. My hair looks like it did in 1971, minus a few follicles on top. Oh … and the fires are STILL burning, because it appears as though they will simply be ALLOWED to burn. I guess that’s one way to clear the brush.
And the boutique grocery store that I love to shop at (Diablo Foods) requires masks and always has a line out front, which I must tolerate for 15min. in the heat to access quality produce and meat. Yesterday, the line was too long at 5:30p to stand in the 101 deg. Heat … so I went to Safeway (uggh!). Horrible pre-spoiled produce, and fatty meats. But there was no line until I had to join the 6ft. spaced checkout line, for one of the two checkstands operating at 6:00p. That line extended deep into the aisle and took 15min. to navigate. Should have gone to Diablo Foods.
And my poor wife is teaching her “urban” 1st graders remotely. Her district has imposed multiple platforms and software for her to use. She is two years from a financially optimal retirement and is still a fabulous teacher … the most requested teacher in her school. But she is a hands-on teacher. She nurtures and makes demands of her students … up close and personal. But now, she has to put an entire classroom on MUTE on ZOOM. What a joke. Now, she is fielding, literally, hundreds of emails and texts daily in addition to her teaching prep time which has doubled. She is working round the clock … just to make Gavin Newsom feign he is in … “control”.
CA liberal cities and suburbs remain in near total SHUT DOWN due to Gavin’s Power Trip. And he is backed by the overwhelming majority of leftist virtue-signaling, mask-wearing, automatons living in this state. And supported by the Teachers UNIONS. And supported by SF Mayor London Breed who is even scolding the (mostly white) Burning Man Artists for gathering on Baker Beach … but has nothing but supportive words for BLM *ahem* Protestors.
And just this weekend … my Next Door app features a woman who is so utterly “disappointed” in her fellow citizens who refuse to wear masks … outdoors … on the sidewalk. She claimed to have taken her dog for a walk on Saturday (high of 110 deg.) and passed 32 people … most of which were NOT wearing masks outside! … while walking on a sparsely traveled sidewalk. With her own virtue fully signaled by wearing a mask (I’ll bet her dog was masked too) she was “horrified” at her fellow citizen’s malfeasance.
How did my State of birth (4th Gen. Californian) turn into this land of reprobates? Where you are ordered to OBEY idiotic orders that are akin to Adolph’s, Mao’s or Stalin’s? And if you don’t … the HR Dept. at your woke High Tech Firm will summarily FIRE you.
I quite Next Door. It’s a bunch of progressives and the Miss Manners Karens run the place.
Yankees, the yankees moved in here from 90 to 10… then they stole the political system while the GOP grew more complacent and globalist.
2018 was the year they dropped their mask.
Nextdoor announced their support of BLM activism early on. They also continue to seek volunteers to provide access to personal printers to help print voting materials for neighbors. I have no idea what ‘voting materials’ need printing but it doesn’t feel legit.

I feel your pain, Kenji
And we don’t even have a Diablo Foods where I live
White House Press Room ground report. Even President Trump has had enough in dealing w/this nonsense. https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/face-mask-trump-white-house-press-jeff-mason-234423760.html
yeah, I saw Pres bark at that guy, I was watching it live
I chuckled
Northern Utah.
My wife is a Registered Nurse who worked in an average 50 patient care center with a low census of 30 patients due to china virus.
On Wednesday August 5th all staff and patients were tested for the china virus because one of the staff members became ill, was tested for the china virus and was positive.
The test results came back on Friday August 7th with 11 patients and 14 staff members testing positive.
All patients testing positive were immediately quarantined in an isolated area of the building which had been made in case of this type scenario.
My wife went to work on Sunday August 9th where she found out that 9 of the 11 quarantined patients had been her patients.
One patient died early that morning.
On Monday August 10th the remaining 10 patients were transferred to a care facility in Salt Lake City, which had been set up for china virus only patients.
One more patient died that day.
All the other patients and staff recovered over the following weeks.
My Daughter is also a Registered Nurse who worked with china virus patients in a care center South Of Salt Lake City. She got the china virus from work and gave it to all of her six children before she knew she was positive.
They all recovered after having only very mild symptoms.
Her experience with her patients death rate was very similar to the death rate described above with my wife.
By the way neither my wife nor I ever got it, maybe due to prophylactic regimen we are taking.
People in Africa and anywhere HCQ is used prophylacticaly, have very low case number per population.
A poor beleaguered friend just sent us this text from CA – he’s pulling his hair out.
The text is from Mayor Garcetti in Los Angeles.
Well, if those 27.5 k comments to Garcetti are any indication…LA County residents can still use their BBQs…because Garcetti’s getting cooked on there
Your what regimen? I didn’t know they were effective against flu viruses.
I’ll be interested in hearing Dave’s too
But my regimen is a quercetin-zinc supplement, a multivitamin that gets me another 11mg zinc for a total 22mg per day, and a vitamin D supplement i’d been on anyway on doctor recommendation.
Protocols recommend upping vitamin C as well, I reckon I get some from my multi and orange juice. I just finished some cold sliced top round with lime juice and fiery red Indonesian sambal chili sauce, a little more zinc and iron and C there.
The quercetin is said to work like chloroquine, as a “zinc ionophore” that assists zinc into your cells
a set of protocols is at the link below, the 2-page summary is enough to get the story
https://www.evms.edu/covid-19/covid_care_for_clinicians/
my brother in healthcare cautioned me about over-doing supplements over the long term so I shoot shy of the stated protocols; even the protocols recommend coming off the zinc after awhile
If I start to feel something coming on, I up my zinc dosage for a few days
brother also recommended thinking prophylactically based on your schedule, like if you’re home most of the week but plan to go out on a shopping foray, up the zinc a couple days before and after – an ‘exposure’ strategy
YMMV
People ask why America has “such a big share” of global covid deaths. Leaving out the probable fraud in the numbers, there are MANY reasons:
We have millions of people who travel to and through the US. No one ever says “I have a layover in Auckland, NZ”. We have a moderately high median age of 38.1 (making us 61st “oldest” of 230 countries https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_median_age ) and perhaps most importantly (and I say this as someone who could lose a few pounds), we have the highest percentage of obese people not counting a few tiny, island countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_obesity_rate The virus is gonna virus. No president could have made everybody lose 30 pounds in a week. Would Americans have tolerated mandatory cell phone tracking apps to discover viral “exposure” and mandated two week quarantine just because your phone had been in proximity to the phone of an infected person? HELL NO. This is not Korea. So Biden’s “woulda, coulda shoulda” is all… malarkey. If he wants to run on more lock downs, good luck to him – especially as deaths plummet in coming weeks. The media will try to hide the falling death rate, but the truth will get out.
I just have to add in there that NY and NJ are also skewing the results wildly. If NY state were treated as a country (similar in size and population to many European countries), it would have the highest death rate in the world. If you exclude NY the US drops enormously. NYers deserve better. It’s terrible watching the tag team of Cuomo and DeBlasio do their best to destroy all of NY.
Must watch:
This is a clip from the 2nd Pandemic movie.

Charlottesville, Albermarle, Va
1-year jail and $2500 fine for not wearing a mask. Planned enforcement by Ambassadors.
If you don’t have a written medical excuse for not wearing a mask on you when challenged, you cannot later use for defense in in court.
Schools delayed opening for another six weeks or so.
I am eighty, wife 75. Stay isolated because of scheduled surgery.
Grocery shopping online with curb pick up.
You are in my neck of the woods. If you need anything please let me know.
“ If you don’t have a written medical excuse for not wearing a mask on you when challenged, you cannot later use for defense in in court.”
They can say that, but all of the ADA regulations and constitutional issues aren’t somehow suspended on their autocratic say so
South Central PA: A lot of business has shifted to local shops. Most Mom and Pops have learned the game and you see no masks. Numbers are dwindling in the ones that are badgering their own customers about masks or that tolerate customer on customer bullying. Lots of people only put the mask on if they have no other choice of retailer for what they need. The closer you get to populated areas the more enforcement and more self appointed hall monitors willing to badger strangers. Jordan Peterson was right when he said that when tyranny takes hold it’s not top-down authority oppressing everyone, its citizens and family members oppressing each other. Scary to see it in action,
There is a rising will by everyday people to go after Wolf hard on the nursing home issue; people want murder 3 charges. Wolf, Levin, and Fetterman will not be able to walk down the street after this without having rotten food throw at them. People are pissed. But we knew Wolf was a radical after the budget shenanigans his first few years in office and expect no less.
Friends in healthcare saying their coworkers are very disillusioned with the dept of heath and CDC. Healthcare workers think the state and fed depts were completely ineffective, even giving guidance that front line workers knew was counterproductive.
Western Montana- went for a haircut; absurd rules in effect. No more than 4 customers in the store (no chairs, so wait outside) no perms, shampoo, beard trims- about half the shop’s offerings. Masks required, sales counter has a plexiglass cage. Other stores, masks still required and most people comply. On golf courses some silly rules, partially courtesy of Governor Bullock (D) who’s running for Senator. No sand bunker rakes, social distancing, a section of “pool noodle” stuck on the base of the flag pin to partially fill the cup. The idea is the ball wil stll go in the hole but is easily retrieved, so a Asymptomatic Super Spreader won’t leave Kung Flu virus in the cup. I can tell people are tired of the restrictions, but nobody wants to raise a stink about it.
Also, if they want to fix the actual death numbers, just say that Medicare/medicaid will be doing audits for filed reimbursement. Fraud will be prosecuted!!
Central CT – Gov. Lamont has extended the emergency declaration for another 5 months with no pushback from the legislature. There was a rally at the State Capital, but to no avail. While I have not yet worn a mask, the time may come where I will be forced to. Lamont wants people to notify his office and turn people in if they don’t wear a mask and have businesses be fined if they don’t enforce his edict. People are still fearful of Covid-19. Some people wear their masks outside, as the Lamont said to do. They will jog and ride bikes with them on. I saw a woman on the lake today wear one. SMH. We have to wear a mask into a restaurant (we do have limited indoor eating), but can take them off to eat, but have to put them back on to go to the bathroom or leave. SMH
We have a couple of groups in CT that are setting up street corner rallies around the state. In particular, is a gentlemen who goes by the name of Palin (for Todd, not Sarah) Smith (from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington) who is cheerleading in these efforts. He spearheaded the Dump Dodd campaign which got rid of our former Sen Chris Dodd.
Trump boat flotillas are being arranged. One was held on the Mystic River yesterday. There will on Housatonic River (Sept, 12th).
A bikers rally is being planned for Ocotber.
They are trying to organize a 1,000 person rally in New Haven on Columbus Day with the theme being, “CANCEL ROSA DELAURO NOT CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS”. This would be a “twofer” if we could get rid of that awful woman.
A freedom rally is being set up on Lake Zoar in Southbury on Sept. 13th. A CT Trump Brigade on Sept. 12th will start in Seymour and be heading down to Stratford to show our support for the Trump and Blue Lives Matter boat parade!
Fly Our Flag On Fridays (FOFOF) will be gaining ground as people in various towns fly our flag, meet on greens and show people that they are not alone and ask people to join us.
Efforts are being made to have people fly the Trump flag all day on Election Day beyond the 75 ft. marker where political activities must end.
While he is not up for re-election this year, “No Blumen Way” buttons are being distributed to get rid of our obnoxious Sen. Dick Blumenthal.
In Arkansas here there is technically a mask mandate but how strictly enforced is largely dependent on where you go. Wal-Mart has a national mandate which is enforced. Wife and I went to dinner and the Colton’s steak house required masks until seated. Cases state wide are up and down but hot spots have been in/around prisons mostly.
Many many Trump signs, bumper stickers and flags – this is definitely Trump country. Protest have been confined to Little Rock and a few scatter cities, they definitely don’t want to try that crap out here in farm country – our gun crop looks to be a bang up good one this year.
Rural missouri here. Most people don’t where masks, all businesses are open. Walmart has a mask policy but only about 1/2 the people wear them. The people staged at the door to ask you to put on a mask have given up. Schools are open, about half the students are wearing masks, the college where my son is going is open, they are required to wear masks. Currently ~55 known cases in the county of 10,000, no identified fatalities in the county to date.
Maricopa County, AZ (Phoenix area)
The bureaucrats in Maricopa County and the State are still waging war on us. Gov Ducey, a RINO who only has his job because of a long-standing relationship with Cindy Lou Hensley McCain and John McCain, has developed a close relationship with Dr. Birx, who comes to AZ often.
Gov. Ducey, however, learned his lessons well at the knee of the McCains. He turned over ALL of the authority on opening up businesses to the AZ State Dept of Health, which is always understaffed and staffed with many people who have few credentials in healthcare.
So, the State Health Dept. is in charge of not only setting the guidelines that each classification of business must meet, they require extensive documentation from these businesses. That documentation is reviewed by unknown persons with unknown qualifications, who then rule from on high as to the worthiness of each business.
Last week, the AZ Dept of Health Services, at the direction of Gov. Ducey, decided that patients who have been held hostage in skilled, licensed nursing homes in AZ *MAY* have visits from family members.
Here’s the RULES:
*The family member must be tested for the virus within 48 hours of said visit and have a negative result.
*After being tested and being found (-), the family member MUST self-quarantine for the 48 hours prior to going to the nursing home.
*The length of visit and manner of visit will be determined by the nursing home.
*The family member MUST provide ID and the nursing home WILL record full name; address, and phone number in a log that will be maintained at the nursing home.
The owner of Mountainside Fitness, who owns more than a dozen gyms in this county, still has not been given permission to open. He has gone to court twice over the past 3 months to get injunctive relief, and was told by one judge that he would just have to trust the process. Yep, trust the process. So it seems to me that he is now being singled out, as he has been interviewed multiple times on conservative talk radio AM 550 KFYI and has stated that he has had all of his facilities ready and professionally cleaned for months.
Restaurants FINALLY opening their dining rooms, but at limited capacity. I had lunch at Olive Garden yesterday and seating capacity was severely restricted. Staff were wearing masks and disposable gloves.
Stopped at a Walmart today against my better judgment, and had to wait in line to get in.
They had fencing set up so that only one set of doors could be accessed (fire hazard?), and had head banger music blaring outside that was probably done to keep people from talking to one another while waiting in line in 108 degree sunshine. The aisles are marked with “one way” signs and reminders to social distance.
Why are Walmart shelves stocked when I was unable to buy the needed item from my local ACE Hardware store?
The 3 Fry’s (Kroger) grocery stores that I frequent in the very early hours of the morning are still not fully stocked. Items necessary for hygiene and cleaning products are still not in stock.
I have been unable to find any isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide at these stores since March.
The price of items like toilet paper has almost doubled. The overhead speakers blare out messages about every 5 minutes which say that we all have to wear face masks that cover our mouth AND our nose.
I noticed “Going Out of Business” banners outside of a Pier One Imports store and at a SteinMart store, which is a small department store that is part of a nationwide chain.
I am a healthcare professional with many years of training. This is all so much bullsh*t and has been since day 1. Don’t misunderstand, the virus is Very Real and dangerous to a small percentage of the population. But as with other infectious diseases, for example Tuberculosis, which is highly contagious, you do NOT quarantine well persons. Rather, you quarantine those who are demonstrably ill. Information exists that shows this virus has components of HIV injected into it.
The vaccine has me very worried. We know that viruses are continuously morphing, and that is why it is so difficult to develop vaccines. Even the seasonal flu vaccine is only a “best guess”.
Multiple companies and countries going at “warp speed” does not give me peace of mind. Now, today, I hear this:
“Executives at Moderna are selling off their stock to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, leaving those watching the company’s COVID-19 vaccine wondering what’s up. . . ” (NPR)
As I sat in church at 8AM on Saturday morning, in a sanctuary that can hold hundreds of parishioners, I counted only 22. Everyone in a mask, except the priest. He still does not come down off the altar for Communion, rather, it is left for the lay Eucharistic ministers.
What if Jesus had decided not to try to save souls or heal the sick?
Sorry for this long rambling. . .
Today, once again, I had to tell a dear lady and her husband that her cancer had come back. She had beaten breast cancer several years ago and had been diligent about her follow-ups.
But not this year. She was afraid to come out of her house. Afraid of the invisible virus.
Now, the diagnostics reveal bilateral lung cancer, likely Stage IV, with lymph involvement.
Do you know how many times recently that I’ve had to be the bearer of bad medical news after patients had treatment delayed? The medical fallout from this will go on for Years, and it is doubtful that we will ever truly know the extent of the damage this lockdown has caused.
The nursing home and assisted living situation have me extremely concerned.
My fantasy is that one day soon, President Trump will use the Emergency Broadcast System and let the truth fly. I was on the front lines during the AIDS epidemic—before we even knew what it was that we were seeing. And I know that the CDC failed us– totally failed us– at that time for almost two years.
I have zero trust in the False Fauci or Dr. Birx. We need full disclosure on what companies these two are invested in or tied to. It should be investigated as to the rumors that both of them have daughters in positions of authority at the Gates Foundation and a major tech company, respectively.
My Zero Trust list is very long. I still can’t remember how I found this website a few years ago, but being able to stop by here regularly has helped me stay grounded, and for that I am very grateful.
I agree wholeheartedly with your statement that the management of this virus was mis-managed from the start. We put in place an Ebola response to a Flu pandemic because that is what Fauci and Birx know. If Trump had in place Yale’s Risch or Stanford’s Ioannidis/Levitt as a counterbalance we would be in a much better place.
It is difficult to fathom how this lockdown could have been allowed to have been put in place on the advice of TWO.
Gvt was in the midst of peach mint, admin has never been fully staffed, advice to president seems to have been don’t talk directly to anyone even your own AG because it will be spun as collusion, etc. And missteps evidently followed
I don’t understand… in The OC, Calimexistan, we’ve had toilet paper everywhere ( Home Depot always had it ) and now there are no shortages. Normal pricing.
CVS Pharmacy has lots of isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. I mean, LOTS.
Do we smell a hoax here?
Yeah, seeding doctors and getting check ups is an absolute hassle.
What I reported here is not a hoax.
My neighbor’s 66 year old wife was now feeling well but delayed doing anything about it for a few weeks because he could no go with her to the hospital. Finally he dropped her off and two days later she had died from a heart condition. Too late to save her.
Although hospitalizations in Arizona are down to 666 from 1879 a month ago, ICU patients are down to 229 from 593 a month ago, and patients on ventilators are down to 121 from 429 a month ago, not much has changed. Why ventilators are used by so many patients is a mystery to me because doctors In other states have been communicating since April that ventilators are not effective with COVID. They find that cannula, nebulizers, and CPAP or BiPAP worked better without the risks of the ventilators. The governor’s ruling that you can’t have a hydroxychloroquine prescription until you test positive for COVID is still in place. So COVID prevention and early treatment are still not options in Arizona.
My local gym in Tucson finally opened, but closes at 4:00pm every day, keeping most working people out of the gym and the pool. A judge forced the governor to specify what gyms had to do to reopen and closing early is one of the rules.
Otherwise, everything seems the same as it’s been for months. Many restaurants still have not reopened even for carry out. The botanical gardens were finally allowed to reopen with appointment, as if the gardens were ever over-crowded.
I hope now that Ohio governor DeWine has seen the light about the usefulness of hydroxychloroquine, that other governors will have to change their policies as well as admit what fools they’ve been.
If Gov. DeWine has “seen the light”, it may be in part due to this:
COLUMBUS, Ohio—Three Ohio House Republicans have drafted articles of impeachment against Gov. Mike DeWine, claiming many of his administration’s coronavirus orders are unconstitutional and violate Ohioans’ civil liberties.
While the chances of DeWine, a Greene County Republican, being removed from office are very slim, the articles of impeachment reflect ongoing dissatisfaction from many conservative lawmakers about the governor’s coronavirus response.
A resolution introduced by state Rep. John Becker, a Clermont County Republican, includes 10 articles of impeachment against DeWine which claim he:
• Violated the separation of powers by having the Ohio Department of Health issue orders outside the scope of its authority that are “tantamount to creating new laws”
• “Conspired” with Secretary of State Frank LaRose to cancel the March 17 primary election, citing a health emergency, then tried to reschedule it for June 2 without legislative approval (the legislature subsequently passed a law setting an all-mail primary on April 28)
• Unconstitutionally ordered the closure of businesses because of coronavirus fears, which “resulted in record-high unemployment, causing not only increased poverty, increased depression, increased despair, and increased suicides, but also the necessity for state budget cuts impacting schools and social programs when they are needed most”
• “Failed to anticipate or plan for more than a million newly unemployed Ohioans who suffered the additional indignity of being unable to communicate with an overwhelmed Department of Job and Family Services to file claims,” and “demonstrated grotesque discrimination against the medical health and welfare of the general population by denying nonemergency healthcare”
• Ordered the shutdown of schools, “a power that belongs exclusively to the State Board of Education.” After schools reopened, DeWine “ordered that all students wear face coverings, which violates students’ civil liberties”
• “Has repeatedly proven his incompetence by providing wildly inaccurate forecasts and repeatedly misleading COVID-19 data; and committed misfeasance and malfeasance with his policy prescriptions, which have proven to be far worse than the virus itself.”
• Had his administration issue a “stay-at-home” order for Ohioans, which violated citizens’ due-process rights and civil liberties.
• Required Ohioans to wear face masks in houses of worship, in violation of the First Amendment
• Issued face-mask rule that “promotes fear, turns neighbors against neighbors, and contracts the economy by making people fearful to leave their homes.” The resolution also states that “for the general population wearing face coverings, people are more likely to infect themselves with COVID-19” (Health officials generally agree that wearing a face covering provides more protection than not wearing a mask)
• Temporarily banned liquor sales to non-Ohio residents in six counties near the Pennsylvania border, in violation of the U.S. Constitution, which gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce.

Conservatives lose the fight when worthless trash like DeWine operate as a Republican. Name recognition is how subversives get elected. DeWine had that going in and Ohioans fell for it.
The gym does open at 4:30 AM, so most working people could get to the gym before going to work, if they prefer to work out in the morning.
I live in the middle of somewhere and nowhere. got the ChiNa virus in January and about died trying to get my breath . My Doctor called it a severe lung infection . She gave me an inhaler and it made the difference along with antibiotics.
It’s very rural here, nobody wears a mask and never has with a few exceptions that I won’t get into.
We think we caught the virus from a traveler from Washington state but at that time period we were told it was confined to Wuhan China. Everyone who got it thought it was a case of odd flu.
Thank you SUNDANCE, for being SUNDANCE and thank you for explaining cold anger.
Fight ON!

Was just out to Charleston SC area. Downtown was a ghost town, beaches were covered with enforcement on 4 wheelers looking for any violation. Was never like that when I lived out there. Child is @ USC in Columbia…spit test with about a 21% positive result but no one appears to be sick. Regardless it sounds likely that campus will be shut down end of the week.
Contrast that to where I live now…I’d be much happier somewhere else.
Glendale CA. The hordes are as married to their muzzles as ever. They are duty bound to be good progs and FlattenTheCurve. The spirit of Karen is strong in these women.
That’s also how this seems to be shaping, It’s the women who are driving this Bug worship. But their males seem compliant so who’s going to right the ship? If a new vaccine is labeled as a Trump drug they’ll avoid it and just wear muzzles forever.
SoCal is a mental WASTELAND.
Don’t judge SoCal by LA County.
I had to drive up to LA County two weeks ago to get my new picture badge. I was joking with the guards because they require everyone to wear a mask on campus… even outdoors.
The guards are fed up. I told them that The OC is not like that…. “yeah, I was in Fullerton last weekend” one of them said. Most people are getting fed up. Actually, people around here are FED UP.
I don’t understand the people up in LA that believe this hoax.
Because LA is a foreign country. Orange Co is not far behind!
Orange County has absolutely fought back…from Seal Beach to Huntington to Newport…we have support of the police and I expect some of the Congressional seats to turn back red this November
modspell, i too am in Glendale CA (nice knowing a fellow treeper lives in my neighborhood). Live about a mile from where all those US mail packages were mysteriously dumped. You are right about the Karens, especially at the Trader Joes on San Fernando and Alameda. Went in there the other day and one of the employees yelled at me to pull my mask up over my nose or to leave the store. Went to store manager, pulled out my albuterol inhaler, and told the manager that unless he wanted to have a lawsuit due to my medical condition, he should have a talk with his employee. I was surprised he apologized.
Trader Joe’s is run by progs but what isn’t around here? The Armens are now the saving grace as many do not, nor ever have, burdened themselves with white sensibilities. If you ever drive down Brand, check out the insane warning signage some freak from the city installed. The grassy medians are loaded with warning signs about $400 fines for no mask wearing.
I am done with discussing this issue with these people. They are a lost cause.
Henderson Nevada here. Schools still closed. Gyms and hair salons are open but with onerous mask restrictions. Major Las Vegas properties that are still closed include The Rio, The Palms, and Planet Hollywood. At least a dozen others as well. I walk every morning. 99% of regulars not wearing masks. I still tear down the yellow tape at the local park meant to keep kids from playing on the equipment.
Hi Donnyvee! We are “neighbors” cuz I also live in Henderson. Sissylak sux.
Howdy neighbor. Stephanie and Horizon ridge here.
Coastal The OC.
Schools were about to fully reopen and at the last minute Gov. Bastard Asshole Loathsome Gruesome changed the rules. Two week delay for our City… The County is fed up too… recall that pendejo Gruesome tried to shut down our beaches for the 4th of July.

No one has ever worn a mask outdoors around here. Parks have always been opened. Stores require masks but social distancing is just a paper idea any more and there are no lines to get into stores. I took a picture of the TP and paper products at my local Costco. It was Paper Products Nirvana.
No food shortages. Great croissants from Mag’s Doughnuts.
Restaurants not fully opened yet. Thank God one of our most favorite restaurants ever, Habuya, is pulling through. My wife picked up some take out the other day.
UCI is empty. Hopefully that means that there will be no student housing votes for Katie Porter. No more ballot harvesting for the Commie from UCI.
Gave 100 bucks to Trump, steady steady with the $50 donations to Greg Raths.
A couple of very large Trump flags in my immediate neighborhood. Never seen anything like it. Nothing for Joe’s Bidet.
We truly need to split the State. The Environazis and the Progressives are running this place to the ground. The local “news” channels are useless. Everything has a a “pandemic” angle.
VA Beach area.
Traffic into/out of Va Beach along rte 13 increased appreciably in the last six weeks. My informal observation is that the increase comprises a heavy density of autos with NY/NJ/PA license plates and a smattering of MD plates. There has been a steady presence of NYers/NJers renting condos & homes all COVID long in my community (golf courses, hiking trails, boating, beaches).
Texas is suffering from a drift by the governor to the left on all things covid. He tries to satisfy everyone, resulting in satisfying no one. I only wish we could have primary’d him in 2020. It’ll have to wait until 2022.
