When Donald Trump proposed a simple border wall and tighter immigration enforcement, a gobsmacked “conservative” electorate were stunned to see the entire political universe of people, who most thought would align with such basic tenets, flip 180° and begin stating: “walls don’t work”, “we need open borders”, and “deportations are unfair”….

In July 2015 it was weird to see the “conservative” pundits and professional class expose their true intents so quickly.

Many couldn’t fathom what they were witnessing.  We called this the “Trump Effect”.

In essence Trump exposes the hypocritical nature of the deceivers simply by affirming an intent to give them what they’ve advocated for.  In doing so Trump puts sunlight on their hidden ideology, and forces them out of the shadows.

Remarkably, Trump is doing it again with comments about NATO, Turkey, the EU and a reconsideration of the U.S. role in Europe.

It’s simply an incredible thing to witness.

If we follow the current Democrat arguments to their logical conclusion, we now see liberals shifted to demanding a war against Russia, because Turkey via Erdogan has gone full Islamist and is also a NATO “ally”.

President Obama facilitated the radical Islamization of Turkey via a willfully blind approach toward what President Recep Erdogan was doing.

Erdogan has, for several years, been steadily moving toward full dictatorship as he attempts to recreate the Ottoman Empire.  Obama’s policy toward Erdogan’s efforts has been intentional ambivalence – liberal talking heads and intellectual types raised no objection over the past 6+ years.

However, with the outcome of those expressed intentions building toward a predictable conclusion, the same liberal talking heads and voices are jaw-agape as Donald Trump agrees, saying: “ok, then, fair enough, it’s not much of our business“…

Mr. Trump … said he would not pressure Turkey or other authoritarian allies about conducting purges of their political adversaries or cracking down on civil liberties. The United States, he said, has to “fix our own mess” before trying to alter the behavior of other nations. (link)

Wait,.. no,.. what?

Liberal democrats’ heads explode as Donald Trump agrees to let the Obama foreign policy agenda fulfill itself.

How dare he?

Donald Trump, like many who have been paying close attention, knows the end result to Erdogan’s efforts was eventually going to result in a predictable clash with Russia.  Putin has only been kept in check from retaliating against Erdogan because Turkey, opens it’s arms to the Muslim Brotherhood, attacks whomever it pleases -including Russian air force jets- then hides behind the skirt of NATO.

Liberal wonks supported Turkey’s Islamist intents, and now want the U.S., via NATO, to keep Turkey protected from the consequences.   Liberal Democrats want the U.S. to go to war if needed on Turkey’s behalf.  Knowing Turkey has done squat to aide the U.S. in dealing with ISIS, Trump takes a breath and says, well, meh – maybe.

Keep in mind, the EU -which is suffering from the consequences of Erdogan’s Islamist export- does little to push back on their own.  Typical surrender monkeys.

In order to make their interventionist argument, liberals are now claiming America is an exceptional country, the “greatest nation in the free world” with a greater responsibility.  Meanwhile, it was only a few short years ago when those same liberal voices were stating the U.S. was no more exceptional that Greece, or Italy, or Turkey…. etc.

So they now have 28 nations making up the European Union, and yet they cannot put their collective military efforts together to protect themselves; instead they need the protection of the U.S.

Mr. Trump’s statement appeared to be the first time that a major candidate for president had suggested conditioning the United States’ defense of its major allies. It was consistent, however, with his previous threat to withdraw American forces from Europe and Asia if those allies fail to pay more for American protection. (link)

TRUMP EFFECT ALERT → Liberal U.S. Democrats, who love to wax philosophically about the cosmopolitan magnificence of the collective EU nation states, are now forced to claim their uber-enlightened EU children are not capable enough to handle their own self-determination.

Thankfully Great Britain, via Brexit, has removed itself from this ridiculous collective.  One can easily see how a President Trump would warmly favor Great Britain for having the foresight and fortitude to take back their future.   The remaining EU nations, not-so-much.

Donald Trump is positioning himself, and the U.S. if he wins election, in exactly the right place.  Last year Trump called out the ridiculous modern-era nature of NATO against the construct of a new EU that should be entirely capable of defending itself.   When it comes to foreign policy, candidate Trump is quite attune to looking at the landscape and following the current direction to its logical conclusion.

Trump creates “leverage” by assertively giving, and emphasizing, the success of exactly what the opposition desired – ie. They own this problem.   If they want the U.S. to come and fix the problem the EU has brought upon itself, they are going to have to crawl back and ask for assistance.   That’s when President Trump, on behalf of America, outlines the conditions.
