Desantis’s position is actually predictable, if you look back at the 2016 R debates, and compare/contrast with the 2020 Dem debates, and look thru the eyes of Desantis’s handlers.
In 2016, the RNC attempted to dilute the field, to “peel off” DJT’S support.
They were unsuccessful, because DJT staked out policy positions, on trade, on China, and on Immigration, that none of the other candidates would parrot.
In 2020, the D’s successfully diluted Bernie, by having ALL the candidates parrot ALL of Bernie’s policies (remember the hand raising?).
Therefore, if the goal of running RDS is not for RDS to WIN, but is to “Stop Trump”, and he is being packaged as “Trump without the baggage” he is going to HAVE to take some of the policy positions of PDJT.
And, it’s “easy” to take a policy position that you will never be in a position to implement.
It’s easy to “talk the talk” when you know you will never have to “walk the walk”.
Do not be fooled by this, their goal is NEVER can they have PDJT in the oval, again.
RDS is their tool, to try to achieve that goal. And RDS can not seriously challenge PDJT, if he parrots the standard RINO line.
It’s similar to the old election strategy, of pivoting to the left (for Dem candidates) during the primary, and then pivot to the center during the General.

The commentary is vital to understanding how the war party (his words) is manipulating the media message; the contrast is sickening. The US has ZERO reason to be involved in that conflict and Ukraine is NOT an ally, NOT a NATO member, and will not prevail in the conflict despite the repeated attempts by so many politicians to bring destruction and ruination to our doorstep.
Not a single newsreader, and not a single commentary has explained the American interest in the conflict overseas. They will not because there is not an American interest there.

It is not possible for a few hard core rioters with no weapons to take over the U.S. Government and overturn the election and install President Trump. It was always a government driven scam to stop the protester’s from gaining momentum to have some states re-look at their state election, evaluate the results and revalidate their electors.
So the Democrats, many Establishment, anti Trump Republicans and the media manufactured the story that it was an insurrection to overturn he election.

The reason so many people came to the J6 Rally was because of so much obvious corruption in the 2020 election and no government agencies would look into to evidence. What else could people do, but protest to bring the attention to the evidence and hopefully get states to look into their claims.

Well, I guess we won’t see a wide range of “splitters” in this race. If they are trying to sell the notion that US voters want war, the only way to promote that would be to promote splitters who favor war… and they won’t survive Iowa in the primaries.

I agree with most of what Tucker said on this segment, but he has RDS totally wrong. Go back and look at DeSantis sly statement. He never says he will stop funding the war. He says that he wouldn’t send F-16’s and troops, but that leaves a lot he can send. DeSantis says that US policy “should be” peace, but that doesn’t say that he will negotiate for peace or that he is even contemplating seeking peace.
In fact, I am sure that Tucker Carlson is wise enough to realize that RDS is not really saying he wants peace. Tucker may be trying to push him in that direction?
