President Trump campaigned in Michigan last weekend, in part to remove the DeceptiCons. Today, Michigan representative Fred Upton, one of the ten republicans who voted to impeach President Trump, announced he will not seek reelection.
(WASHINGTON) – Rep. Fred Upton, one of the longest-tenured Republicans in the House of Representatives, has decided to retire rather than seek reelection in 2022.
Upton was one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump in January 2021, saying in a statement that “our country cannot and will not tolerate any effort by any president to impede the peaceful transfer of power.” Now, Upton is the fourth of those 10 to retire, joining Reps. Anthony Gonzalez (R-Ohio), John Katko (R-N.Y.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) in exiting Congress. (read more)
One wonders who will be paying him once he leaves elected office?
I’m sure he’ll find some spending money somewhere, but he’ll never be destitute because he’s inherited a big bag of money from his grandad who started the Whirlpool Corporation.
He can hit up his niece Kate for a loan.
Yep…which “corporate board” will he join so he can continue to go to all the nice parties & hang out with the cool kids on K street?
Glad to see the federal lightbulb guy go away. The damage he did; will it ever go away?
Never forgot the Upton lightbulb debacle and always wondered how this man was reelected.
I haven’t paid much attention to politics until ’round about Nov. 4, 2020 – What’s the “Upton lightbulb debacle”? Do tell… 😉
Upton was co-author of the bill that banned incandescent light bulbs. So for a brief time the only bulbs you could buy were CFL’s. Which are terrible and everyone hated them and are impossible to legally dispose of. Then a couple years later along came LED bulbs, but everyone had new CFL’s installed already. It was ignorant. moronic and, as Rush called it, “the worst kind of anny-statism”
Glad to see him go, time for term limits
As Voters, we can enact term limits at any time, on a case by case basis.
Why wait if some buffoon gets themselves elected but fails to do the job.
Fred Upton should have had his butt term-limited immediately after joining Jane Harman on the dopey idea to force people to use those ‘squiggle’ light bulbs. He is a perfect example of a lawmaker who thinks they know better than the folks they are supposed to REPRESENT, not rule.
Valdeo is in my district. I have not talked to anyone who is going to vote for traitor Valdeo and that includes taitor Valdeo’s sister.
His own sister? LMAO
Im in Nunes’ district (gone of course) Valadao is an embarrassment and needs to be gone. I’d be surprised if the GOP holds that seat with the shabby redistricting job done. Thanks GOPe! NOT!
The CAGOP is a useless heap of RINO cowards.
It is not possible to clean the swamp in one swoop, so to me, it seems best to concentrate on the most clearly identified and toxic RINO members.
So far 4 out of 10 now gone, who voted for impeachment.
Adding in 25 who, in addition to the 10 impeachers, voted for the Jan 6 commission, there are three more that are gone so far. These are Trey Hollingsworth (IN), Tom Reed (NY), and Van Taylor (TX). They are retiring; in Taylor’s case helped by his sex affair which cost him a primary nomination. Thus, there are still 28 who voted for the Jan 6 Commission who need to go.
Thus 7 out of 35 thus far.
I add in 3 who voted for the infrastructure bill (along with 10 of the above). Malliotakis (NY), Van Drew (NJ), and Young of Alaska – the last of these was retired to whatever his eternal judgement might be.
Add 2 — Pete Sessions (TX) who is all in on amnesty, and Nancy Mace (SC) who is simply awful.
These 40 constitute a list of those who show up on the infrastructure, amnesty, impeachment, and commission lists. While there are no doubt other RINOs, they do not appear on the above voting lists.
So far 8 out of 40. Lots of work to do.
If we send a strong warning salvo, those who blow with the wind will take note. MAGA
Including the 39 turncoats who voted for the Omnibus budget with Democrats and McCarthy did nothing.
Let’s play a deadpool.
Who is next?
I’ll take Meijer from Michigan.
God I hope so.
C’mon lizzy, do us in WY a favor, and make it 5!
Cheney is toast.
Someone I know in Cheyenne has printed up 1,000 NOT VERY nice flyers on RINO Liz “Carpetbagger” Cheney and plans to distribute them around our awesome state in Oct/Nov.
I wonder if that was her so-called “challenger’s” group/groupies, the self-named “conservative”, “MAGA candidate”, “Republican” Harriet Hageman… I’m a Wyomingite, and Hageman is a sell-out-to-highest-bidder just like Cheney – so, for her to get elected instead is really just the same ole’ thing. She has no grassroots support, the good people of Wyoming don’t like her & don’t want her – her only real supporters are fellow neocons, Globalists, and RINOs.
She’s a lawyer and has worked AGAINST Wyoming in 2 lawsuit I know of – 1 in which the Colorado firm she represented should NOT have won. But, RINOs will RINO, even in State courts. And, she worked on a major water project with Mark(?) Million (aptly named) – which, thank GOD above, never materialized – that would have sent Wyoming water to Colorado… See a trend?
See a trend? I see sideliners still whining about what others are doing.
Fortunately, I also see more posts from doers who, oddly enough, aren’t whining. Instead they offer, optimism, hope and high energy ideas.
Coincidence?

Just precinctstrategy.com
The trend is that Trump endorsed her too.
Remember, he is the uncle to model Kate Upton.
I guess big boobs run in the family!
😂🤣😂. Good one (or 2)
In his infamous effort to save the planet, RINO turncoat Upton passed legislation giving us the environmentally hazardous compact florescent lightbulb which cost 7 times more than the simple incandescent bulb. This dim wit will not be missed.
DIM wit…heh. The world will not have recovered until we can buy incandescents again. (You can order them online. I have a 10-20 year supply.)
Nice I bought them as they were clearing them out. I turned around and the same for those horrible CFLs. So now I have a plethora of bulbs!
Where online please? I had a good supply, but am in need of more.
Dim bulb ?
good riddance !
I love all the pictures,I needed a laugh 😃…
Especially the fox shooting wascally wabbits…
A LOT more than “Six to go”, even getting all 10 out, is only nibbleing at an elephant.
And, if any of those are replaced by another decepticon, it is no victory, just same old Whine, in a brand new bottle.
Exactly. Until we have TRUE patriots in positions, we’ll NEVER have true representation, nor a government that truly works FOR us instead of against us. I just responded to someone else’s comment re. the so-called “challenger” to Liz Cheney here in Wyoming – Harriet Hageman. She is essentially a Cheney clone – sells out to the highest bidder. She has no grassroots support as many good folks in Wyoming (REAL Wyomingites, not Globalists, who hold no allegiance to any place) know she’s a phony… She’s a lawyer – like we need more of those in gov’t!!! – and has worked AGAINST Wyoming numerous times – winning a case for the Colorado firm she represented, and working with Mark(?) Million (aptly named) on a water project that (thank the Lord above, never materialized) that would have sent Wyoming water (like we have any to spare!) to Colorado… Seeing a trend? So, yes, until we have REAL patriot candidates – and they win – we’ll see no change except a continued worsening.
Candidates are chosen by those who are active members of their local precinct. Precinct membership is open to ALL registered Republicans.
Those who sit on the sidelines and let others do all the work until election season rolls around are typically the biggest complainers. Coincidence?

OMG we are doooooomed. Resistance is futile. Everyone must ignore Drumpf and reject his hope and optimism. Instead we must embrace despair.😂😂😂😂
Let’s not forget the loser R”s who voted for the 1/6 commission….they need to either quit or be primaried…
At least the “face man” Van Taylor (R) Texas is gone for having an affair with an “isis bride” who demanded money for her silence and probably his vote for impeachment.
Wonder how many others are compromised as well…
Knowing the little bit I do now of DC, likely ALL of them… But, money/power/control/influence buys a LOT of silence – at least until it doesn’t any more.
MeiGer
WHY is it pronounced with a “y”: MeYer?
~>Our VSG does have a way with teaching so the student remembers.
Take a flying leap at a rolling bribe, you RINO puke.
GOOD RIDDANCE!
It is my understanding that Fred Upton is the main stumbling block who has kept us from hardening the grid to protect against EMPs, solar flares etc. I forget the name of the committee but he was in charge of it for a while. He cannot leave too soon.
Yes, Iron Lady, that MUST be a big priority for us, and from what I hear, it’s not that expensive or that perceive. . Absolutely imperative.
Due to redistricting Upton was going to have to go up against current Rep. Bill Huizenga (M-2) in the primary where he was going to have his ass handed to him. Saw the writing on the wall. Redistricting also made Meijer’s district less red. If he survives the primary he’ll probably get beat by the Democrat candidate because Republicans will skip over his name on the ballot in droves. Either way he is toast.
“Four down, six to go”. Cheney is under water, so I am hopeful that “Five down, five to go” is more accurate.
SWEET! We’ve been trying to ditch this MI RINO forever!!
Why doesn’t McCarthy kick these guys out of the caucus, that fine coward! OMG, how I despise McCarthy.
substitute fine for the other word.
LOLOLOL…love the fox and dead rabbits Sundance. Love it.
Now if some of the remaining backstabbers leaves, I will be happy. NO loss either. If old Liz Cheney left, I would REALLY be happy. She is a real nasty piece of work.
😂😂😂😂
I live in David Valadao’s district (one of the remaining 6). This is a large agricultural area. Mainly farmers and dairyman . You name it, we probably grow it here. Valadao is from Hanford, my home town, 30-40k population. A conservative town and county. (Yes there are conservatives here..almost 70% in this county) I know David personally. Everyone here knows him. When we heard David voted to impeach Trump, we were frankly shocked and disappointed (Then pissed!) We love Trump here. Now literally, David can’t go anywhere publicly or post anything on social media without people here calling him out.
Fortunately we have someone here running against him, Adam Medeiros . A true conservative,a Christian and a follower of the constitution. He is not only respected in this community but loved. A business owner and family man. I’ve known him personally over 4o years and have great admiration and respect for Adam. He’s running for Congress in the 22nd district with little money (The RNC gave Valadao $100k because he’s the incumbent) and little notoriety outside this town and county but he believes God can make miracles happen. (Remember Ed Durr from New Jersey) Adam’s been speaking in different towns and people are gravitating towards him. They love his message and his passion for God and country. He’s one of us! “The People”as our founding fathers intended. I’m a avid reader of this site but have never left a comment but this topic literally hit home. So I decided to say something about how we feel about Valadao and especially how we feel about Adam Medieros. I want to help him anyway I can. Too much is at stake now to not get involved. We have to put good honest people in positions of power. I hope people will read this post and maybe someone out there with knowledge or influence , can reach out to Adam and help him in some way to succeed..
Joe Kent will make it 5.
I have despised Fred Upton since he came to my attention during GBush’s presidency when he spearheaded the incandescent light bulb ban. That was in the early days of my awakening to the corrupt, RINO globalists masquerading as “conservative Republicans”. I was drawn because I love a beautiful light fixture that emits the warm lovely light of an incandescent and am repelled by the mercury containing, squiggly white light bulbs they push for replacement. Next, Upton pushed this I came to realize directly to benefit Jeff Immelt at GE and in the process a Ky company making bulbs was shut down only to have that production outsourced to Mexico. So incandescents were still made, but just not made here. And we were “nudged” to replace them with the ugly ones Immelt was having made in China. And Fred& Co. told me that making these mercury laden bulbs, which are a Hazmat disaster if broken, made in China and shipped here by boat or plane was ”saving the environment”. So I started paying attention to Upton and guess what every shitty vote in Congress that put the screws to the middle class that I was aware of Upton was on the dark side. That’s when I began to realize that the Bushes were not what I thought, that the RNC is corrupt and the DC Republican class is simply the other side of a Uni-Party that pretends to be at odds while they all launder our money for power to achieve wealth. My understanding of the corruption that is our political class began with Fred and the light bulb. Good effing riddance. Too bad it wasn’t sooner. Trump certainly exposed these people to the bigger audience, that’s for sure.
The first thing I do when reading one of these wonderful Hollywood Squares-style updates from sundance is search for the name of the replacement to the abandoned seat.
I was surprised to see that no one here has even mentioned Steve Carra, who is running for this seat and has been endorsed by PDJT. (I hope that’s correct…)
Hoping he’s a good ‘un, because I don’t know him from Adam.
This article from January says he “called upon” Upton to drop out. Looks like that was a good call!
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/trump-endorsed-steve-carra-to-run-for-congress-calls-on-fred-upton-to-drop-out
Answering the call… 😂
The problem doesn’t stop with this group. No one stood. They all need to go. #PrimaryThemAll.
