Outrage as New Jersey plans to ban chewing gum as part of woke law also restricting tea bags and cutlery
A newly proposed law threatens to ban chewing gum in New Jersey forever.
The Protecting Against Microplastics Act, introduced by Democrats Shama Haider and Margie Donlon, sparked fury as it also might put an end to tea bags, cutlery and other common products in the Garden State.
The two assemblywomen behind the bill proposal cited research that found that microplastics were released into the body during the first few minutes of chewing gum.
If passed, the bill would also give $3 million of taxpayer funds to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to enforce the ban, which would also target plastic plates, cutlery, containers, cleaning products and cosmetics.

The governments in blue states and the democrats in the federal government have pushed over the line on what they can control for the people. Those small groups of so called representatives are trying to force the rest of us into doing whatever they say even if it’s stupid and silly. This is like Hochul in NY trying to ban gas stoves and other natural gas appliances.
If some product is not made with safe and quality materials, then work towards getting the companies to do better on what they use to make their products, but don’t pretend for the entire populace that you know better and can ban things that people use all the time. The arrogance of these elected officials is off the charts sometimes. Anything to get their names in the media spotlight.

All they have to do is make it one day voting like it was for a couple hundred years and ban mail in ballots and problem solved. Everyone can vote on Election Day with the paper ballots at the polling places.
