This is the breaking point for me. I have been actively involved with dogs all of my life. Knowing that our sorry ass gov’t left these dogs to the taliban is too much for me to compute.
I cannot believe the handlers of the dogs and the commanders of the squads who the dogs were assigned, did not raise holy hell. Lots of weak leader less pussy hat wearing soldiers at every rank in our woke military.
We don’t really know what any soldier did or said. My heart breaks for all of them. I cannot fathom how they endured with such valour in their circumstances, knowing what top brass were doing and the position they put them in. G-d only knows what it was like for them to see these dogs released (assuming they even knew or saw them released) and how crazy and helpless they may have felt. Who knows what they said in the face of it. I cannot disrespect a single soldier from this last group left, not all of whom made it back home.
