Before getting to the remarks in the video below, about “living through the greatest Western population bust in human history,” let me first bring attention to something I recently noticed.
While visiting Russia, there are several social factors exclusive to this nation. Some of the distinctions are relatively new, (resurgence of religion and faith supported by the state), and some of the developments have been taking place over a longer arc of history, (expanded national population, and family incentives supported by the state).
It might seem like an odd thing to notice, but the number of Russian families with young children far exceeds that seen in any other EU metropolitan area and/or American city.
If you look at the issue from a review of children aged 4 to 10, the difference is stunning. The number of Russian people with children in Russian cities far exceeds the number of Americans seen with children in large urban areas of the USA.
Kevin Dolan talks about the depopulation problem at a Natal conference in 2023. It’s not a scientific addendum, but from my own observations during travel; it is quite noticeable how American children, in the 4 to 10-year-old age range, have seemingly disappeared. WATCH:
.
Come to my neighborhood, Sundance. You’ll be glad to see there are still places swarming with children of all ages.
what he’s trying to enlighten us to is that is the exception, not the rule. this is a very serious matter
so you don’t think there is an ebb and flow to this?
Everyone in my family under 40 has decided not to have children. Climate change and the cost being too high are given as reasons. It really is an issue.
Since 2000 the population of the US has increased by approximately 55 million. Immigration has accounted for the majority of the increase, but the U.S. is not at risk of being underpopulated.
Perhaps not, but is it at risk of being overrun by people who do not understand, care about, or share America’s historical values and corresponding understanding of our Constitution and Bill of Rights?
IMO, the anwer is yes.
Beautifully spoken! Catholics and Mormons are about the only communities with large families. I consider 8-10 to be large. Let’s face it, any family with 3-4 is now considered large.
Observe CHY-na with their one child girl policy. They have not only lost at least two generations, but also have a dearth of women, and an uneven number of males of fighting age.
Notice all those coming thru our Southern border? Wait till Xi invades our West coast and he has an imbedded army inside California.
For millenia, people of modest means chose to limit their families to raise 3 to 4 children*; only the wealthy had larger families. It wasn’t until the mid / late 1800s that increasing prosperity due to trade and industry, plus improved sanitation, made larger families viable for the middle class. The current trend of 1 to 2 children (if any), is self-destructive for our society. Only a change to tax policies in States and the Federal government, is likely to change that.
*Read “The Kindness of Strangers: The Abandonment of Children in Western Europe from Late Antiquity to the Renaissance” by John Boswell
So, if China has a war or kenetic of some sort and a large portion of their males die/disappear then the mass number of their population will be female.
Good luck on that keeping China afloat. .. maybe they have massive sperm banks waiting to step in to play. I still say good luck on that one too. There is a reason God created man 1st then woman from the rib of man…
Penny, I gave you a thumbs up. But you’re a little confused understanding the numbers of the Chinese Male to Female ratios. China currently has a 6 to 1 male disparity. It will raise to 7 to 1 in this decade. So even if they lost 60% of the Chinese male population the men would still vastly outnumber the females.
Conservative christians, *conservative* catholics and Mormans are the groups having the most children. Liberals, abortion rights and alphabet people can die out!
Looking at genealogy, large families were needed as farm help, leverage against those who died, and encouraged by developing nations.
But, aside from those who simply wanted a large family, when there was not these reasons in place, it was surprising how many chose not to have children or stop at just a few, with education and income actually skewing the number of children downward, even in the 1800s.
Is it societal or organic?
I believe in the nature of things, that life continues as it must to keep going.
So is nature removing people altogether to keep going or just filtering them down to a version that will help sustain life ie empathic, kind, loving, intelligent and thoughtful?
Either way, I think self serving elites need not apply.
Larger families were only possible with increased sanitation, before that, child mortality was high. Also enabled by rising prosperity due to trade and the Industrial Revolution.
The answer to your questions is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross.
Believe the timeless truth
of John 3:16.
I know a couple with a one year old. He is 35, she is 32. When they married in 2020 they planned to have 3 children. Now she says “doctors say you should wait 3 years before you have another child to give your body a chance to heal” (she had an easy pregnancy and delivery). Also she has tickets to a Taylor Swift concert in December and for some reason she doesn’t want to be pregnant then.
I find this shockingly shallow. My two grandmothers each had 10 children. My father’s mother had them every 11- 15 months. My Aunts and Uncles were so close. My father had 7 sisters who used to call him nightly! My mother would say “ can’t they let you finish dinner?”
And my grandmothers were perfectly healthy and lived to a ripe old age. Oh and they had the babies at home with a midwife.
We had our kids when she was 39 and 41 and they were darn near Irish twins. And zero complications of any kind, either pregnancy. That doctor is full of HOGWASH.
That doctor and many others are probably a part of the depopulation agenda.
Wow! That’s how old my wife was. We had two kids less than 3 years apart. I meet people now with one and they claim it’s so much work that they just stop. My goodness.
Same here. Maternal grandmother was pregnant 20+ times. Had 13 live births, 9 survived to adulthood. My mom was the youngest and she was born when grandma was 45.
PS…Mom had a niece who was 2 yrs older than mom.
My baby sister was born with a niece who was eight years older than her.
Funny…..
One of my friends has three kids…. about 13 months apart each.
When his wife showed up at the doctor with the 3rd one, her doctor called him and told him to “leave her alone!”.
They’re American-Taiwanese. I don’t think he cares who Taylor Swift is.
He always laughs when he tells that story.
6 months if the woman is in her 20s. My son and dil have 3, looking for a 4th to be born in 2025. DIL is just 30. Hoping for 5.
My grandfather (farmer) delivered all six of his children at home.
This made me giggle. I knew exactly what you meant but it does sound like he did it all by himself.
10-12M illegal aliens crossing over is the Uniparty’s response to demographics. Once our borders disappear, the regularly scheduled population transfers will commence.
I believe there is another reason that our population is shrinking, and that is the “Gen-X and Millennial” generations. They are much more SELF-FOCUSED, SELF-ABSORBED, SEF-CNETERED…and having children is seen as an impediment to their self-absorbed lifestyles. Our daughter, (who is 37…born 1987) is a millennial. She is single. Although, she and her partner (a man) went their separate ways this past summer, after 16 years of being together. (He is a Gen-X’er) Anyway, she is a good and decent woman, with a good soul. She has many accomplishments under her belt. BUT, even when she was in her early 20’s, she explained that she had no desire to have children. AND, she was not alone. I can count on 3 fingers how many of her friends got married, and had a child, or children. Most of them managed to get married, but then later would divorce. Although it was not an issue to me that she didn’t want children, believing it is HER LIFE and not any of my business…Her daddy felt a bit dismayed that he and I would never have grandchildren. (We will be married 50 years, in November.) She is our only child. I was quite happy having just one child, where we would be frequently asked WHY we didn’t have more children…or not be overwhelmed with grief at the thought of not having grandchildren.
So, this is just my view on this!
I am a firm believer that anyone who professes not to want children shouldn’t have them. There are too many unwanted children now. I grieve for the children who don’t have loving parents. No father and a mother who can’t name him!
I never thought in my early years that I would be a good mother given the dysfunctional home I grew up in. I have loved and adored my nieces and nephews. As I have gotten much older, I have realized I would have been a good mother. But, it was too late. 😏
I’m so sorry. I disagree with the “not wanting shouldn’t have” only because I think most normal people will find that it isn’t at all what they thought. Having a child is not like any other experience. Now, if that person is also extremely shallow and materialistic, then maybe no. But you sound like someone who simply was trying to do what you thought was best.
I got married at 40 and became a mom via adoption at age 45. We have 2 amazing adopted children that have brought my aged parents much joy. You never know what God has planned!
“Great Depopulation”? Only if you allow it. Many would and do including some who follow this site. Not all, but they’re here, regularly, who have like too many others fight only with the mouth and typing fingers like the ones here not long ago wishing to be raptured up now. That comment got 10 “likes” as I remember and are I suspect the ones who will easy quote His Word while ignoring the many tools and ability to Fight that God provides. Then will those who will break the Covenant when the real call to action arrives.
I watched a video interview with Alessandro Dugan on Tucker Carlson. A great eye opening interview that pretty much sums up the entire story of what is happening in America. Why America has turned on Putin and Russia. They don’t want us to see the reality of what the Government in America are doing to Us.
Peter Zeihan has age demographic charts and commentary in various places. can’t find US and Russia this minutes but recall that USA is actually in relatively good shape in terms of younger population. Millennials are fecund. can’t find Russia right now. his video reports begin here :
According to dictionary.com, the word fecund is defined as “producing or capable of producing offspring”. Are they are actually producing offspring as opposed to capable of producing children? Why not just say Millenials are producing offspring instead of using a somewhat obscure word?
In my circle of friends and family, conservatives are still having kids (although for many, it’s at older ages than in the past).
It’s mainly the libs who have chosen to not reproduce (the dem party probably knows this & it’s why they’re desperate to import future voters).
Some admit it’s because they prefer the lifestyle and freedom, to travel, do whatever they want and retire at a younger age. Some mention their concern for the world over population, etc.
They are well aware that conservatives have more children, and it’s why they are desperate to indoctrinate our kids in school. I stay this as a former teacher.
Ya it is certainly more difficult having kids these days with all the increased costs. However that was never a concern for us and really shouldn’t be stopping anyone. I wanted kids and there was nothing anyone was going to do to stop me. We have two kids within the specified age range. We both have talked about having a third and would welcome a surprise but with the current condition of the medical industry we are hesitant to throw a lot of effort into trying right now.
From my old group of friends only 3 of us even have kids. Most of them are single and in their 40s now, it’s unlikely they will ever get married or have kids. As much as I see the reports of the declining western populations. This should already be known and expected to some extent. It’s perfectly normal for a species to grow beyond the bounds of what it’s current systems can sustain. They usually need to shrink before either they reach equilibrium or the current environment shifts to allow further growth.
1973 MIT’s world one program charted this and they spent years testing with mice to see how they could restructure a closed society to make it work. In short.. it doesn’t. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/the-doomed-mouse-utopia-that-inspired-the-rats-of-nimh
It’s easy enough to track resources and population growth trends from history via that world one program. It was obvious that large populations hit a limit where their designs and systems max out and their populations must either innovate these designs and systems, or lessen their population in order for the larger group to survive.
It’s an either or problem, if you don’t innovate and adjust these systems fast enough, nature will fix things it’s own way. Less resources means more fighting and famine, fighting and famine reduce populations. It’s a vicious cycle but it works, unless of course your countries politicians import foreigners to offset the drop in population. This however keeps the systems maxed out and nature will continue to suppress the native populations growth. Essentially replacing them..
Let’s face it, the Obama Biden Progressive Liberals have destroyed our society, our culture, our values, our communities and our faith.
They must be destroyed.
And, hundreds of thousands must be removed from the DC Admin and our colleges and universities. And, yah, it may be too late.
My millennial stepson (41) and his wife (37) just had twins last year. A boy and a girl.
He dubbed them fine Anglo babies! Lol
Mark Steyn wrote a book about worldwide demographic trends about 20 years ago. In it. he said that the depopulation of Western Europe would be catastrophic by around 2030, and that the USA would be the lone Western Democracy that would still be somewhat in tact. He also reported that the beginning of the same trends found in Europe would be very evident here, because the trend of shifting populations would be in full swing. He basically gave the USA about one extra generation before its own complete collapse. When I read his book, I had no idea depopulation was going on in Europe, but I have been watching these trends for 20 years and we are now running ahead of the time of our predicted downfall. He basically blamed Muslim immigration occurring all over the world. Can we all see it now? The book was called “America Alone” and he wrote a subsequent book later called “After America” on the subject of demographics. To understand the shifting demographics, I highly recommend these two books for starters.
An example from Finland:
Of Finnish men age 40-49, 1/3 have never had children.
Of Finnish women age 40-49, 1/5 have never had children.
The government is concerned about impacts for the future.
I am more concerned about how many more years America can continue to exist as a civil society in an irretrievably bankrupt nation. Our children’s future is more than just bleak!
I am more concerned about the worldwide attempt to resurrect the Persian Empire according to the tenets of the Muslim religion (if you will). They have temporarily aligned themselves with the Global Collective, but they aim to make all of the rules for all of the people, once they gain a worldwide foothold, which they have already accomplished here in the USA. This is my opinion and yours is just as valid, if not more so.
The reason you do not see urban areas swarming with children is because we moved away. Many of us with large families saw the urban decay a long time ago, before we even had families. In my instance, as soon as I was able I fled the state of Californication and then the next population center after I did my time in public service. I had a great job, great career, but my most memorable times were with my family in rural southwest part of an Appalachian state that will remain unnamed.
I joined a reformed presbyterian church and LOVED it. Our covenant community was incredible. We had third Sunday picnics, our kids had the best time but they worked hard at homeschool, chores, and worked alongside me on our little farm when I was doing something fun to teach them or if there was something they needed to help with. People joked that we were Amish or Mennonite but though we were reformed in our thinking and our theology it was the family that we take seriously for the Glory of the Lord. Our children were blessed and will never forget those days. To those who are living that lifestyle still, you are doing great work raising up arrows who are when they old they will not stray from the faith.
To our brothers and sisters who are Baptist or other denominations, do not fear or be divided in the body of Christ. This will be the undoing of the church, from within. That is the most difficult thing to see in my experience. For young men who are not married especially, and for all men, read the book Men and Marriage by George Gilder. Young men should be preparing their career so they can be marriageable and raise a Godly family. It is one of the best books on feminism and why men are to lead, which God made us to do. Additionally, if you have not seen the voluminous and rich content that is being cranked out by Canon+ you are missing some helpful resources and teaching. https://mycanonplus.com/
And yes Douglas Wilson is part of Canon+ and Canon Press, the same one recently interviewed by Tucker Carlson. I rest my case. Have a blessed rest of your day.
To move to such an area full of Protestants…. hmm… that’s a bit extreme for most of us… if it works for you fine, but it’s not a solution that can be applied to enough people to solve the problem.
For one, if everybody moved away to some place out in the sticks, well, the sticks would no longer be the sticks, huh? You’d have tens of millions of people living up in the Apalachians.
You call it Paradise, kiss it goodbye.
For other, how would the locals like it if millions of Roman Catholics, Buddhists, Hindus, Shintoists, Orthodox Christians, Jews, Muslims moved in? I doubt they’d be welcomed, huh?
Many of us, did not run away and stayed in California, in suburbia and had our kids too.
It’s our home and we’re not gonna give it up to the Commies.
For comparison, see how MSM treats this topic:
“The Far Right’s Campaign to Explode the Population”
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/04/28/natalism-conference-austin-00150338
Don’t blame the IC, or “Fourth Branch of Government”, for this.
This depopulation narrative seems to conflict with corporations control of politics. Why would corporations want less customers?
I’m beginning to think that the “corporations” are just a tool, just as the politicians and Deep State ( the “Polity” ) are also tools.
The intent here is for the Western Globalist Banking cabal to maintain and extend their global power, they own the corporations and the Polity.
So, where we see a “Corporate Fascism”, in reality we have a totalitarian regime controlling the flow of money -which relates to Political Power.
Thus, we need to Follow The Money in our analysis.
The World is not running out of People.. so it’s the cabal’s plan to depopulate Western indigenous people, who are richer and more independently minded, and replace them with more malleable immigrants from poorer nations.
Hence, the Open Borders in the US and Europe.
This theory also works well with what Sundance is seeing in Russia… a nation that is defying the Western Banker cabal.
WEF is a suicide pact for the West on behalf of China.
Run principally by the City of London.
Corporations are indeed but functionaries in the process, albeit powerful dangerous functionaries.
I have 6….We are part of the solution, not the problem…lol.
Plus, my wife is fine. It was easy on my part. “wink”
Comments, this time, tell a very telling tale about many of my peers here.
I never attempted to limit my family. We have double digit children & our life is filled with great things. My oldest is early 20’s and my youngest is new this year. We have 5 that are 8 and under. It’s been the greatest strength & joy of my life.
We teach our children, love them, inspire them, & watch them make important decisions. Professionally, I’ll soon be the father of an Electrical Engineer, a OB/GYN, Mechanical Engineer, and that’s just the first three. Fourth is in college now, but isn’t sure what she wants to major in just yet.
The younger group (11-17) want to become Computer Engineer, Teacher, Pediatric Cardiologist, & Dentist.
All of that aside, my greatest happiest is that each of them want to have large families as well. My girls are women of faith & virtue, we raised them that way & they chose to gain their own witness of it, which has made them models of virtue.
My young men are just as faithful as their sisters & look forward to marriage & children.
Our goals were simple. My wife and I wanted to make a difference in this life & be genuinely happy. I could only do so much in my chosen career, but we knew we could impact the world most effectively, by having children & raising them to love God & Family & Country. We also knew raising them to become responsible & effective adults would benefit our entire society.
I’m shocked at how many here point to academic studies to refute what Sundance noted & the point of the article.
In this thing, I know we have chosen the better lot. Our life is filled with deep meaning & fulfilling purpose. It’s not that we set a number we wanted, we just simply didn’t set a number we didn’t want. We acted & have been blessed the whole way.
Strange, if they want to depopulate why open the border to let the bio-weapon flood into the United States???
Population Replacement.
More malleable, less affinity for the principles we hold that make us poor slaves.
I work in IT and have for 18 years. When I first started we had about 10% of our work force were H1B1 visa holders from India. Now, 10% are native born Americans and the rest are from East India. Their religion is predominantly Hindu or Muslim. As soon as they come into the Country the first thing they do is have a child. They even admit they have a child immediately to help anchor them to our Country. You cannot go to many medium size cities without noticing (at least in the Pacific Northwest) that the majority of the people are not native born. Immigration is going to kill all Americans if we do not turn the legal and illegal immigration spigot off and start deportation.
I used to work in employee benefits in Silicon Valley in the 80s and 90s. When I first went to San Jose, the Indians were sparse and were here on H1B visas. I still remember enrolling a guy that made around $100,000 at that time. He said to me, see that guy over there, the Indian? They can hire him for $60,000, How much longer do you think we’ll have our jobs?
And here we are. If you’re a white guy or girl, you don’t deserve a job. If you’re a Christian, that counts against you as well.
Cheap labor, and a removal of the Christian workforce is part of the problem.
