The fact the Republican Herald comes out in support of Meghan is no surprise, since Republicans in Great Britain (no relation to Republicans in the United States) exist primarily to abolish the monarchy. Americans by our revolutionary origins do not favor a monarchy, but I am very sympathetic as a sister, daughter, mother and grandmother to what I saw play out on national television Sunday night. But my sympathies do not lie with two millionaire ingrates who enjoy the rarefied privileges you read about in children’s fairy tales.
Leave aside the contradictions being highlighted from the interview to disprove their explosive allegations. I sat there gobsmacked (thought I would use a British term here in solidarity) watching Meghan tear apart the family she freely and enthusiastically married into. The family that spent 32 million dollars on her wedding. The family that came to her wedding and walked her down the aisle even when her own was not present for whatever reason. The family that gave her the high-fashion clothes costing over one million dollars the first year alone. The family that gave her a house and lovely trips…wow, just wow. And then there was the dim and ungrateful Harry willing to air his family troubles to the world, no matter how embarrassing, no matter that the family members were not there to defend themselves against horrible accusations.

The White House and Hillary Clinton came out in support of Meghan Markle after her Oprah interview. Tells you all you need to know. This was a political hit job to take down the “white privilege” monarchy. One part of me says the Brits deserve it for the way they trashed President Trump during his visit with the Queen. Another part of me says we need to be better than that. At the very least I get satisfaction in saying you get what you ask for. You Brits did not like Trump so get ready to reap what you sow.

My take is that Meg and Harry are jealous of William and Kate and they feel they are equal to them and should get the same treatment.. However that is not how it works..Everyone else in the family seems to accept that and knows there is a pecking order in the family.
