Former Representative Doug Collins announces today that he will not be a candidate for elected office in the future. However, he intends to stay active in conservative politics.
Collins last ran for the Senate seat in Georgia against Republican appointee Kelly Loeffler and lost in the primary. Loeffler was supported by Mitch McConnell and the establishment republican party; Collins was viewed as the outsider. [Announcement Link]
He must be doing well on the John Fredericks radio station in Georgia.
Mitch McConnell smashed a number of good conservative candidates in the South (McDaniels in MS 2014, Mo Brooks in AL in 2018 and Kelli Ward in AZ twice) and before that Mourdock in IN, in 2010 Marlin Stutzman, a tea party favorite who was endorsed by South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint and on and on. Every time, Mitch the B was able to maneuver a “decepticon” into positon to push out the more conservative candidate. In the case of Alabama in 2016, M-theB got the dems to vote for Roy Moore so he could lose to the safe dem on the ticket. This has been all to preserve M-thB power. He has the money and buys what he wants.

Doug Collins was my rep and I am not at all sorry he’s leaving politics. It’s HIS fault we have a Senator Warnock. If he hadn’t split the vote the Dems wouldn’t have the majority in the Senate.

What if an honest election audit were done and it turned out the Collins had won??
I read that Sidney said that Doug won but they changed the votes and split them between warnock and loufler so he would be in 3rd. She said he had over the 50% mark so there would not have needed to be a runoff in Jan.
Why do people bother making these announcements?

Are you aware Collins has served honorably to the rank of Lt. Colonel? Also, the man is an ordained Baptist minister. Both are well known for having the courage of their convictions; not cowardice. Be careful of creating a circular firing squad.

He is a major Trump supporter and if he does not wish to run in 2022 because he feels he can help more supporting the conservative cause and America First then I am with him, well if I could vote for him I would be. Not my state though. He did not say he was dropping out of politics, just not running in the NEXT election cycle.

Thank you, finally someone else who read that also. Might be he wants to pray about it and see where God wants him to go and how God wants him to serve the country. I would never hold that against anyone. So he takes off 18 months, really you are pissed at him for that! Also according to sidney he won the senator, by over 50% so should be in the Senate building right now. But God does have plans for him I am sure!
