Mayor Ted Wheeler has allowed wholesale anarchy to run amok in the streets of Portland, Oregon, while using the attempts by President Trump to stop the violence as an excuse to call Trump an authoritarian dictator.
However, with the possibility of a change in administration it is no longer in the interests of the totalitarian state for random acts of violence to be associated with the severe-leftist cause. As a result, Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler now says Antifa violence cannot be tolerated any longer. WATCH:
As Mamet said: “in order for the far-left to advance their ideology they must pretend not to know things”… As soon as their ability to deflect the pretense ends, they shift strategies and then deny they ever supported them in the first place.
All of that said, we know the real reason why Portland is changing direction.
So, he really ‘cannot understand the violence and anger in some people’s hearts’ …? That was a quote I saw here locally in the PNW. He has let this go on for what, nine months? Trump offered him help and he slapped that down. And now he thinks its time to shut it down? I cant believe he hasn’t been forced out of his home to face his constitiuents while they demand he stop the looting and destruction. Even liberals have there limit with this stuff.

Wasn’t Wheeler almost forced out of his house to face his constituents when Antifa and BLM attacked his building a couple of months ago?
His constituents would have loved to face him, but BLM and Antifa would have lost their focus on Wheeler.
Too bad, though.
His constituents might have given him a new appreciation for the disaster he created.

You honestly don’t think the left would protest at Governor Andy Beshere’s house or Louisville mayor Greg Fisher’s house, do you? Hell no! They are both democrats.

The police continue to retreat in the face of IED’s, and pyro bombs. The veteran Antifans are not swayed by the Wheeler-dictated limited methods. Until some live ammo starts penetrating the shields & umbrellas it will continue. Absent being able to do that, all Portland PD should simply walk off and find other employment.
And he’ll be reelected, unless someone to his left runs against him. Because, “He’s trying his best.”
My impression of Antifa is a lot of young disassociated youth in the period before their frontal lobes are fully developed directed by a few leaders with organizational abilities. Why can’t those be found and made to divest of assets in reparation to the businesses destroyed and working people made unemployed? I think he’s also in to something with making them talk to the businesses they helped destroy so they could maybe feel some remorse. I still ask: why has it taken him so long???
Maybe the objective has been met; so throw Antifa under the bus……check out Catherine Austin Fitts on the Antifa riots………. she and her team analyzed these riots and came to the conclusion they were designed to lower particular values so that the Uber Rich can scoop up the Real Estate at rock bottom prices.
