her name is barbera. 82 years young but suffering numerous health issues. she’s very afraid of dying. she cries everyday. some parts of it due to dementia. talks to her husband …who passed over 15 years ago.

today she fell out of bed which is a recurring problem.

we have hired a live in assistant because family members just are not capable.

everyday we visit, bring meals and share the bible and pray with her in a joyous spirit.

Barbera is consumed with the spectre of death.

her children don’t visit.

we know barbera is close to that time when all people pass from this world.

I simply ask that you pray for barbera and the people who care for and about her.

God Bless America

Regi, you’re doing everything you can by sharing God’s Word & praying with her. I pray that she would cast her cares onto Jesus, that she may know His peace, for He has not given us a spirit of fear. I also pray for clarity of mind & for physical healing.

I used to anoint my mother with essential oil of peace and calm and frankincense It seemed to calm her. Or try melatonin for calming sleep

Praying for Barbara and bringing her to your Thrown of Grace filled with mercy, love and kindness and most of all healing when widow don’t fit into the routines of others. Barba is 82, and I am 79.

My husband 82 winged his way to God’s loving arms carried by God’s Angel Band. We were blessed with 59 years of marriage.

My husband was in his 14th year of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. We kept visual memory boards of past loved ones, vacations, children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. His challenges in the last 2 years and we had to place him in long term care.

On 10th of 2020, our nightmare began when they literally refused to let us visit with him, grooming and caring for him. All of the daily memories and family support was totally ripped from him. I would call everyday requesting to see him but his condition rapidly declined. He had lost the ability to communicate by phone…we called anyway wanting him to know we were not allowed to see him. They would assure me that he was eating and doing fine. This went on until Nov. 30th…I begged the nurse just to let us sit with him. He died the morning of December 1st alone and no family there to hold his hand as he crossed over to Heaven.

So, Barbara, I share the window’s grief with you. Perhaps, friends could organize a Barbara Day. Only one at a time, too many people brings confusion to them. Just sit with them and let them talk or not talk. They have short attention spans on one of my visits I had no sooner set my purse down and my husband was ready for me to leave so he could get on with his day but for that moment and that day he knew I was there even though he would forget the next day. He loved to relive his military days and he would talk for an hour or more. Long term memories are still there…get some funny memories from the family.

May God cover you Barbara with His blanket of peace and pour out His anointing favor over you filling you with His blessings. In Jesus name. Amen. God bless you Regi for your caring heart.

For others who may be suffering with a loved one you cannot get to in nursing, rehab, and memory care facilities, this woman’s story in Florida to visit and hug her husband gives hope for change.

One of my friends was inspired seeing this and is trying to effect change for her Mom in a care facility in WVA.

God Bless.

Praise be to Our Savior. I have (and still have) many needs, but one by one He steps in and meets my needs (not necessarily what I want), but what I really need. There is so very much that has been thrown at me that I have learned to be patient. I could lose everything today, accept it, and praise the Lord all the while. My real home has streets of pure gold and Love for eternity. I am merely passing through.

After some decades, I have found a church home. There are also some old folks like me, 72. I look forward to what is ahead. I am far from ready to go Home, I have been blessed with good health and there is so much I have to do in this life.

I would gratefully accept any prayers sent my way, especially about giving me Wisdom and a closer walk with Him.

And thanks to all the warriors who have prayed for me. Love ya all.

Prayers for Joanne.
She selflessly went to render care to her elderly parents recently after the parents’ family caregivers contracted (and were hospitalized with) covid-19. Joanne suffered from an auto-immune disease but she answered the call to care for her parents in their time of need. Sadly, Joanne and her parents contracted covid-19 as well.
Joanne died from covid-19 this past Tuesday.

I was asked to give an update on my dad, so I wanted to let you all know what’s been happening. It’s been an eventful few months to say the least, but God is good & He has worked mightily! The last time I posted, Dad’s blood numbers were not good and the doctor had come up with several possible remaining options to try, none of which were working and in fact had caused him other problems. It got to the point that he had to go into the hospital in mid-November because of these other issues in addition to the complications from his disease. He ended up being there for 42 days until the end of December.

Where we once thought that he could no longer receive blood transfusions, there was no choice but to do it at that point & it turned out that he was able to hold onto the blood for a time, but only for several days. So the doctor decided to give him the last remaining drug option we had talked about where he could be monitored, since this drug actually lowers your counts initially. It helped in some respects but not others, at least at first. They were just hopeful to get him healed from all the other issues & get the blood stabilized so he could come home.

Then one day at the beginning of December we were informed that he had somehow tested positive for Covid. Of course the prognosis for people who are as compromised as my dad and get Covid is really bad, so we were extremely upset to learn this. A couple of days after finding out about him, my mom who had been visiting him came down with it, and then a day or so later I did as well. All of us had to be quarantined in our respective locations. What happened during that time is still very hard for me to put into words, as too many people can attest to all too well. Fortunately my mom’s & my symptoms after the first few days were generally mild, and it seemed my dad’s were as well. About a week later though, things escalated & he started having trouble breathing. They gave him several medicines including Remdesivir. It took some time, but all praise & glory to God, He carried him through that valley.

Meanwhile the doctors were still trying to get his blood numbers up. He eventually progressed to the point that the numbers stabilized and they released him. His doctor had come up with another possible treatment that he wanted to start once he had left the hospital, and he’s been getting that for a few months now. Also the drug he started in the hospital looked like it started kicking in some. I’m happy to say that to this point his numbers have remained fairly stable and he’s only needed one transfusion since leaving the hospital.

So that’s where things stand at the moment. I apologize if this seemed a little disjointed, as a lot of it is still a bit of a blur. Obviously things could have gone very differently were it not for the wonder-working power of the Lord Jesus in our lives, and He alone deserves ALL the glory for this! I’ve grown a great deal myself over these months, as the Lord used this to show me some things about myself that I desperately needed to see. We’re still believing for a total healing, as He’s able to do exceedingly, and we thank each & every one of you who have been praying for him so very much. When things looked very dire at various points, it was a great comfort to know that there were so many wonderful Treeper Prayer Warriors praying!

God bless you all so very much.

I would like to request prayers from this faithful community for my infant granddaughter Josephine who was recently diagnosed with a rare genetic anomaly resulting in a smooth brain. It is a condition is called Lissencephaly and the prognosis is grim. We ask for prayers of a miraculous healing of her brain as this condition is not curable. We ask for prayers for her parents so they may navigate this journey with grace and understanding. We ask for prayers for the doctors and specialists who will be involved in her care. We pray for her big sister who is turning 5. We pray that Josie feels love, comfort and joy. We also pray that Josie does not suffer from seizures and other medical complications. Just clicked on this for the first time and read through the prayer requests here. We must pray without ceasing! I add one more. Today one of my nephews learned he has colorectal cancer with metastasis in his liver. He is just 39 years old. He has been transferred to a larger hospital for further evaluation. Please pray for him as well as for my sister…who has been through so much already. They are despairing. Thank you to all…now that I found this prayer request link, I will be praying for all who write their requests. May we all accept Gods will with grace and humility however things turn out for each of us and our loved ones.

You people here are so very kind. Such a blessing to read of all the prayers going up for one another and their loved ones. This is church to me now…church in action! I thank you so much for prayers and I pray for all people requesting prayers.

my nephew finally will be seen by oncology next week. He’s 5’10” and last week down to 135 lbs and losing ground…this is after part of his colon removed. He has Mets in his liver and my sister feels this cancer is eating up more calories than he can take in…she says he’s even thinner from a week ago.

I do not know what Gods plan is for my nephew. I pray for a miracle. I pray for my sister who has lost so much. She’s my heart. Born two years to the day after me. Mom died suddenly of a brain aneurysm when I was 8, my sister was just 6. We’ve weathered a lot in this adventurous life and held close to one another. I worry for her as much as I do my nephew. Times are tough for many of us on this limb of the treehouse. It is such a glorious blessing to find you all here. I pray for all of us. One day when we will be together in heaven, we can rejoice together and have no more tears or worries or pain. God bless you all.

My son’s girlfriend is 7 months pregnant with my second grandchild – a boy they plan to name Henry. My son and Heather are estranged, but he is still supporting her and my 1 year old granddaughter, Lucy.

My son just found out that Heather went ahead and got the covid vaccine even after my son informed Heather of the dangers to pregnant women. I read about the miscarriages and stillbirths which happened after women received covid vaccines.

I know that the vaccine has not been determined to be the cause of the miscarriages and stillbirths, but my son and I are absolutely terrified for Heather and sweet Henry.

I am asking for prayers for both of these precious people in my and my son’s life.

Thank you so very much. God Bless and Protect you all.

Virginia H. awaiting test results from an endoscopy.

Mr. and Mrs. B from Detroit area. Both are ill with “new strain” of COVID. The wife was in the ER yesterday with severe abdominal and back pain, along with blood in her urine.

My mom. 90 years young. Lifelong sufferer of anxiety and depression. Insists that she has a severe medical issue but all tests come back negative. We believe this is exacerbated by loneliness (she’s in Assisted Living) and they are very strict about comings and goings, understandably. Her best friend died recently and she’s always “known” that she herself is going to die around Easter.

I have a daughter with a learning difference. I lost my house during COVID, but sustained her private school that was supposed to help with her disability. This was her first year there and they were supposed to be specialists in alternative learning. All they turned out to be were liberals shoving propaganda down the throats of these vulnerable kids and the content was just ridiculous at every level. Like they were intentionally failing to educate these children.

I am a single mom and this was the hardest time in my life. I sold our family home before I lost it and maintained my commitment of $9,000/year to pay her tuition. It has been a total, total waste. It’s like setting $9,000 on fire at the end of your driveway and we are very conscientious about our finances. That was $9,000 that I could have used to sustain our home.

I’m devastated, but I know that I made my decisions based upon the best information I had at the time and their behavior says more about them than it does about us. God will eventually restore the years the locusts have eaten and He will right every wrong.

I would just as soon homeschool my girl, but I must work full time to sustain us and I don’t believe she would respect me as her teacher. I also don’t want her to be isolated from other students. This year almost killed me, trying to handle distance learning and my full time job simultaneously… and I’m hanging on by a string. I fear the future for our kids, but know God is in control. Please, please pray for my girl and for our uncertain future.

She’s going into high school and I honestly don’t trust anyone… especially the schools and their toxic liberal agenda. Please pray a hedge of protection around her and for her to continue to be able to see clearly the efforts of the enemy and I ask that no weapon formed against us would prosper.

Thank you.

Would like to ask prayers for my many years ago college roommate and her minor, teenage son. Apparently there was a family dispute and the son (trying to protect his mother) shot & killed his father a few days ago. I know this boy & he is one of the kindest and most sincere people I have ever known.
There have been many young people in our rural community who have committed suicide within the past year so I fear this young man may try to do the same thing & I’m hoping some prayer warriors will join me in praying for this young man. Since he is a minor & police investigation is ongoing I will only post initials for TAB & young CDB.
Thank you for listening; I feel more at peace already just writing this.

Prayers for a newborn who was born this morning a couple of months early. Not sure where to start with this one.

The mother is a developmentally disabled girl (well not really, she is 28, but cognitively about 12) who is the sister of a very good friend of our family. No one even knew she was pregnant. The mother lives with her mother who is elderly and is not well health wise. The grandmother never even realized that her daughter was “involved” with anyone or had become pregnant. Unfortunately, the aunt (our dear friend) lives a bit of a distance away and only sees them once or twice a month.

Regardless, I’d like to ask for prayers for the baby’s well being and for strength for the family in this situation. Also, a short prayer for Mrs Bugs as she travels to be with the family to lend any support she can.

Well I am asking for prayers for my daughter Angela who will be having surgery Thursday morning. I carried her to the emergency room Wednesday because she was in such pain. She has been procrastinating dealing with a hernia for a couple of years. Her household is comprised of 3 disabled adults, and she is the least disabled, and lots of fur babies. The emergency room people would not let me come in with her. They did blood work and a CT scan. She has a large mass in her lower abdomen.

After further tests the oncologist will be doing a complete hysterectomy. They are going to biopsy the large mass hoping it is benign. If it is benign they will also repair the hernia. She will be recovering at my house as conditions for healing are not available at her house.

While I was making arrangements for her to come here I get a knock on the door and it is the police letting me know my brother has passed away in Georgia. I talked to my brother Wednesday before I took my daughter to the ER. I am his twin, so this is especially hard. I am sending my son to take care of what I can’t handle on the phone.

So I am asking for triple prayers: for my daughter, my son traveling ,and for my twin. He knew the Lord and I am sure he is with Him.

Granny your story has been with me all day. I’m so sorry for your loss of your twin brother. My prayers for your daughter Angela will be that Jesus will be in the hospital with her as well as the spirit of your brother…surrounding her with peace and love and healing. May you feel the peace …beyond all understanding as well as you as you navigate this next week. Prayers for your son in his travels as well. Such a blessing he can do this in your place. Nana B thank you. I had to tell my youngest brother today who is in a facility. The nurse who came to the door is also a twin and when I told her that I needed her to bring my brother out so I could tell him she came out on the porch and gave me a big hug. That made it easier to talk to my brother. We have lost 2 siblings and a cousin in 9 months and no Covid involved.

Report on my daughter’s surgery: The surgery went well and she is resting. When we went to the ER a week ago she looked like she was 7 months pregnant; when they took her down for surgery she looked like she was 10 months. After surgery when she returned to her room she looked down and said ” I can see my feet!” we won’t get full pathology reports until next week.

Report on my twin brother’s passing. My son drove over Monday to take care of cremation arrangements, itemize and sort personal items and to handle notifying any financial interests. My brother had the best neighbor a person could have. She was the person who originated the wellness check. She came over and introduced herself to my son when he arrived. She and my son worked long hours each day to do what needed to be done. After all that was done and everything packed to bring home to me she insisted on cleaning his house. This is truly a Godly women! I consider her family now, and we have never met except on the phone. She is the kind of neighbor we all need.

Update on my daughter. The pathology report has her at Stage 3 C Ovarian cancer( the most common.) Her liver is affected. The doctor asked her if she is a heavy drinker. She is not, but her liver is necrotic. Making plans for her to do chemo and recovery at my house. Her immune system will be compromised, so her fur babies are a no-no.

She has a good outlook. I can’t change anything, so I am giving it to God as He is in control.

Thank you for the update. I will continue prayers for Angela and pray for you Bionic Granny! We all are in Gods hands and do not know what plans He has for each of us. I do believe He walks with us every minute. In my minds eye I often think of Jesus beside me and reach for His hand. Maybe I’m a bit nutty but I feel His presence and it calms me.

update on my nephew: he begins chemo next Wednesday. He is infused at the clinic and then sent home with chemo through his port which is removed (chemo, not the port) on Friday. He has 10 days off and then the cycle begins again. My sister is doing the best she can…getting POA and SS disability in the works for him. She has taken time off from work next week to see how it goes.

another prayer request! One of my nieces died in childbirth a year and a half ago. Her husband won’t allow the grandparents to visit…presumably due to covid. All grandparents have taken vaccine. They are heartbroken.

Now I have an image of Jesus sitting on a limb in our treehouse?. He hears our prayers. The saying God meets us where we are comes to mind and I am thankful!

I always start by reading every post on the latest page of the thread…

I’m back again, asking for prayers for my family.

About two months ago, we got the letter from our apartment complex saying we needed to renew our lease or give notice to move out. We immediately started the process of looking for a better apartment in a better complex, but thanks to lying liars who lie at my husband’s previous workplace, a time of no employment, and some other issues mixed in, we weren’t able to get in anywhere else. He’s finally got a job – $18 an hour, 40 hours a week, on probation for 90 days (the company is looking like one of those who regularly hires new people and then dumps them a couple days before they’d go permanent, but it’s income for right now.) April 27th was our last day to give notice, one way or the other.

As soon as he got this job, that is, he started working last Monday, we looked into moving into a larger apartment in this complex. The office manager was out most the week and the assistant said he thought we’d get the apartment; he was supposed to check with the manager and call me back today. When I hadn’t gotten a call by 4, I called in – got the manager.

Not only did we not get the apartment, but we are not going to be allowed to stay in this one, either, due to over-occupancy (my husband and myself, a three-year-old, and an one-year-old.) I am not physically capable of holding a physical job, at this point, due to pregnancy complications, even if it were feasible in terms of childcare.

We have to be out by June 26th, 10 days after my due date. We currently have nowhere to go, and no one who can help us. Our only hint of a plan, at this point, is to try and move into another complex with one of my husband’s buddies as a roommate – if we qualify, if we collectively make enough. The only apartment available, does not come ready until three days after our required move-out date.

Housing assistance waiting lists in the area are not currently open. We do not qualify for any other type of government assistance because we are a white, nuclear family unit.

Any prayers would be appreciated. We’re both overwhelmed and barely know what to do now. The logistical challenges seem nearly insurmountable. My physical disability complicates things.

Jeremiah 29:”…I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

With this in mind, I pray that no matter how difficult and steep the road ahead, you and your family have peace, joy and strength to persevere through this and every trial in life.
When you have reached the other end, your testament will be an excellent teaching tool for your children and an excellent example for those around you to never give up, keep the faith, have hope for the future.

In a day and age when family and family values have been enduring a decades long attack, thank you for striving to keep the nuclear family in tact.

On a different and unrelated note, as your due date approaches, if you are still searching for a name, may I suggest that gldn2th is a good and strong name that exudes righteousness and strength, even for a girl, gldn2thette….just an idea:)

Be blessed and be well.

Thank you for your update on Angela. May she tolerate the chemo well and praying it works very well for her.

update on my nephew…had his first round with chemo last Wednesday…chemo pump Thursday and Friday. Very ill all weekend but better this week. Next Wednesday it begins again…infusion on Wednesday, chemo port Thursday and Friday. He has a window of time to recover from the chemo each time but they tell him this will be his life as long as he lives. Genetics results on the 17th….this will tell us a few things…one, if his cancer might respond to immunotherapy. Two, if this is Lunch syndrome…if it is Lynch…many in our family will need testing….especially his cousins all around his same age.

prayers going up for all on this branch of the treehouse! Even in the worst of times…my family is seeing the kindnesses of strangers that reach out and help. So many people are so good and a salve to help us cope.

blessings to all here.

Twelve days ago, our disabled daughter was admitted to a critical care unit with covid. She has had a lot of ups and downs but is currently fairly stable. Still no discussion of when she will be moved to a regular room or be able to begin plans to go home.

My husband and I share duties taking care of our daughter since she fell last fall. We live 100 miles away and he had been staying with her just prior to her hospitalization. Then ten days ago, my husband was admitted to the same hospital with covid. He is having a much worse course of illness than her. He is currently in ICU. If his status declines any more, they will be placing him on a vent due to his cardiac and respiratory status.

I have several long term health issues which prevent me from taking the vaccines. Without being vaccinated, hospital policy prevents me from visiting them. Some days, it has taken all day to get through to the nurses to get updates on their status. Thus far, I’m doing OK and am through my quarantine without any signs of illness but the stress is starting to take a toll.

Will you wonderful prayer warriors please keep my family in your prayers? We trust that God will get us through this time but have always found great comfort in the prayers of family and friends. Bless you all.

Dear Hoosiergranny,

You, your dear husband, and daughter are in my prayers. I pray your daughter gets moved to a regular room soon and that your husband turns the corner soon so that he does NOT need a ventilator. May God place competent and caring physicians and nurses along their recovery path.

Dear Blessings,

Your prayers are very much appreciated. Things are beginning to look better.

Our daughter was moved to a regular room yesterday. It is possible she may be discharged on Tuesday or Wednesday, God willing. She is doing much better.

My husband is still in ICU. He’s a little more stable, enough that he’s been able to stay off the vent. We are praying the medication changes they made yesterday will begin to help within a couple days.

God bless you,
granny

Hoosiergranny, I pray that the Lord Jesus will move mightily for your daughter & your husband & heal them both of this virus. I pray that your daughter is able to be moved to a regular room very soon. I pray that your husband would not have to go on a ventilator & that his status would improve past critical. I don’t know how much contact you’ve been able to establish with the doctors & nurses about what treatments he’s received, but I can tell you that remdesivir was a great help for my dad who is very medically compromised when he was in the hospital with the virus.

I’m also praying for you that the Lord Jesus would surround you with His peace, His strength, & His comfort. We love you & are here for you! God bless.

I had ACL reconstruction surgery 5 weeks ago, but last night fell on my stairs. Pray I didn’t damage the surgery work.

Pray for my son, he might have ADHD. He has problems processing information. He is 30 and has never thought of being tested. Pray for the Lord’s guidance is his life. He is such a caring and loving man. We are blessed to have been given the opportunity to be his parents.

James, I pray that whatever may be happening with your dear son, the Lord will be his guide every step that he takes. I also pray for a conclusive result from the testing, that the doctors may know how best to treat him if it does turn out to be this. God bless.

Psalm 31:2-4 “Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue, be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.
Keep me free from the trap that is set before me, for you are my refuge”

I pray that your son be able to see the safe refuge of the Lord, walk toward Him, reach out and accept His loving guidance.

Your description of your son as such a caring and loving man, no matter what he is facing, reminds me of something I once read about ‘Broken Crayons Still Color’; not too sure of the exact title, but near as I can remember, it was about the struggles and “brokenness” of some people still able to color with the beautiful colors of their lives.

You and your wife are owed a big thank you for your hard work in raising such a caring and loving man.

Update on Angela:
We have gone through all kinds of “murphy’s law” issues. She broke out with cellulitis a few days after her surgery. She was treated with a medicated gauze which produced a severe allergic reaction. Her feet broke out in huge blisters which we are still trying to heal. After 4 weeks in regular hospital she moved to rehab in the same building and just completed 4 weeks of therapy. She was released to come home with me to get ready for the rough chemo. The cancer has produced a lot of fluid and continues to do so. My best guess is from 40-80 pounds of fluid so it is a struggle to get rid of it.

When she was helped into my car, staff injured her left foot. When we arrived home, my son had come down to pour a wheelchair ramp. He helped her get into her wheelchair and into the house. Her foot injury was severe enough that she wasn’t able to help herself at all. The extra fluid weight means I cannot physically help her. My son poured the ramp and stayed an extra day to see if she was going to be able to handle herself. He had to go back home as he only has a short time before going back out to his oil rig. I had to call EMS Saturday morning to go back to the hospital. So, we have regressed to where she was after surgery.

Chemo cannot happen until she is stronger(better.) I am asking for prayer to find a way to remove the fluid buildup so that she can get to a point to start chemo. Thanks to all who have been praying for her.

BG, I am so sorry to hear all of that. I pray that the Lord would relieve Angela’s fluid buildup so she may start chemo, & that He might heal her foot so she can maneuver around better.

Bionic Granny you have been and will remain in my prayers. May your daughter gain strength each day and may she keep her spirits up. May each physician and nurse be wise, kind, and helpful to her as she heals. May God also give you strength. May you find some quiet moments of inner peace for yourself. And may God bless your son for being a good son/brother to come help prepare the house for his sister.

Thank You Blessingsuntoyou. She is determined that she is not giving up and told the doctor not to give up on her. I am giving it to God.

My name is Adam. 40 years old, suffering from various service related issues. Need prayers to have the strength and energy to be able to feed my 5 children and keep a roof over our heads. Please pray for me that the VA gives me a 100% rating so that I can quit my arduous job as a Correctional Officer and focus on my family.

Also please pray for our country. We’re going down a dark path. Please pray for my 5 daughters, that they accept Christ into their lives.

May the Lord bless you & keep you & your family, Adam. I pray that He will give you exactly what you need to provide for them, that He will keep you safe, & that your daughters would accept Jesus as their Lord & Savior. God bless.

Asking Our Lord to watch over you and your family. Be encouraged, knowing He is always with you and knows the path you are walking. Never give up on our all-powerful Savior. And may it be that your body be restored and that you can endure your job situation for now. Your sweet daughters I will pray for Salvation.

After leaving the Navy in 1971, I have used the VA when I had no money. It took a long time, but I finally learned the “drill”. The only thing the bureaucrats do is delay, delay, to infinity. You need to stay in their faces and not despair. There are places where you can appeal as well as contacting your congressional reps and senators. Perhaps there is a free legal aid place to help write correspondence for you. Just keep making noise. For me it’s been a spiritual battle against some evil critters.

Our nation (and the world) is always in my prayers.
