U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appears with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the expanding peace agreements in the middle-east between Israel and Arab nations.
The administration approach toward the assembly of a peace alliance has been an incredible result of the Trump Doctrine. By changing the originating dynamic away from discussions of conflict; and focusing attention on the economic opportunities to improve the life of everyone in the region based on a prosperity model; the Trump administration has found a synergy, a common alignment, between all regional interests.
The assembly of the alliance, and the specific expectations from the original 2017 strategy toward confronting extremism, has yielded a result that can now be duplicated in the 2020 Abraham Accords. The same regional peer pressure from the Gulf Cooperation Council, that resulted in the cessation of promoted extremism, is now being applied toward gathering ‘prosperity partnerships’. President Trump changed the paradigm completely.
.
As the Palestinian Authority recognizes their Arab support base is now partnering with Israel for stability, peace and prosperity, the PA will eventually have to drop their hostile posture and return to the negotiating table with far less support. This result is part of the bigger background picture; and once again President Trump is achieving this objective by working around the conflict itself.
♦President Trump’s foreign policy approach brought North and South Korea together away from the table of conflict. ♦President Trump’s foreign policy approach brought Serbia and Kosovo together away from the table of conflict. ♦President Trump’s foreign policy rallied the Gulf Cooperation Council to stop Qatar’s support for Islamic extremists via the Muslim Brotherhood. ♦President Trump’s foreign policy brought Turkey and the Kurdish forces together away from war and conflict. ♦President Trump’s foreign policy created a ceasefire to stop the bloodshed in Syria. President Trump mediated a cessation of hostilities between India & Pakistan in the Kashmir region. ♦President Trump’s foreign policy brought Israel and the UAE together… and there will be more.
PDJT is doing an unbelievable job on foreign and domestic policy.
He is the HOPE we count on!
The hate that fills the radical left demo-globalist will not allow them to acknowledge anything good.
They almost did it in 2016 but this time when Trump is the-elected I actually expect them to gnaw their tongues off on public television.
Should read re-elected
Trump the PEACE MAKER vrs. WAR MONGER SLO Joe
Try dementia sleepy Joe. His family should be ashamed of themselves trotting him out in this condition. ??♀️
I just watched a few minutes of Bob Woodward spewing nonsense about President Trump (blaming him for “140 thousand” covid19 deaths, for example, with no reason given and in truth, no such reason is possible). The entire Democrat INSANE CULT simply starts with the unquestioned assumption that “Trump is bad”, and proceeds from there to build as huge a pile of you-know-what to “demonstrate” just HOW bad. None of them — and, being a deranged cult, this is no more than what you should expect from them — is tethered to reality; it is all free-floating hysteria (because, if he is NOT bad to the bone, then they would have to confront — question — their unquestionable assumption.
It’s not that they’re deliberately trying to destroy the world. It’s that they just can’t stand reality, or the saving grace that President Trump is bringing to the insane situation.
The covid19 crises, by the way, has the same underlying basis as the “global warming/global climate change” hysteria: A general crisis of incompetence among the scientists who are supposed to be the trustworthy experts, and also, as with the Obamagate treason, weaponization of those UNtrustworthy, incompetent scientists against we the American people, and President Trump as our elected representative.
The Insane Left has embraced every incompetence, every hysteria, every vengeful mind, to take over the Land of the Free (not to mention, the Home of the Brave — not with hysterical “snowflakes” in ascendance).
@harry,
I couldn’t agree more. The left & right Cults are out to destroy to maintain “their” power.
God will win, a time of awakening as us millions silent majority are wake.
Due to the coup, I’m all in favor of A 3rd term, it’s only fair to say the least. MAGA!
I would pay to watch them gnaw their tongues ?out especially if Barry and Hillaryskank join them.
To be Captain Obvious for a moment: the State Department NEVER, EVER had any interest in peace in the region. Peace simply doesn’t serve their interests. Astonishing.
That’s exactly right, it was bad for business
ditto the cia. this recent move of trump’s is precisely what must happen. the palestinians must be disabused of the “two-state solution.” it is opposed at the highest levels of the likud mossad establishment and will never happen. and shouldn’t as it would, as general george marshall said in an only slightly different context, be a recipe for endless war.
the only solution is to change the paradigm from one of war between the palestinians and the israelis to one of a struggle for civil rights, including crucially the vote, inside israel. the palestinians must learn from gandhi, king and mandela.
Yet he is, according to many people, a warmongering vulture not worth even mentioning the Nobel Peace Prize in the same article, let alone the same paragraph and, (insert whatever evil and/or stupid thing) forfend that he be mentioned in the same sentence.
if he is reelected and pulls off his (and reuven rivlin’s, the israeli president) one state solution, making the palestinians voting israelis inside the post ’67 boundaries (less sinai), trump should be carved into the granite out in the black hills next to abe.
I think he has already earned that honor, but yes. He has more miracles to perform. Then he should get sainted.
And just like that, there was peace in the Middle East.
Hopefully Trump got them to stop funding democrats…
Hope and Change IS Donald J. Trump
Yet not one of these lifesaving accomplishments will have the slightest positive affect on the leftists. They are the modern day chief priests and Pharisees who groused about people getting healed. They’ll make their attempt to crucify this president to try and prevent any more peace agreements. They feast on blood and dream about crushing peacemakers.
They will not survive.
Trump got Arab nations to accept Israel but can he get Democrats to accept Republicans? That looks to be the tougher battle at the moment.
They would rather die.
Like the shooter in Portland who was warned not to do what he was about to do, 2 days before the Prayer Patriot member was assassinated.
Boom, shooter went out with a “bang” so to speak.
Heck, I can’t stomach 90% of the people posing as Republicans, not to mention posing as Conservatives. Action speaks louder than words in my book.
PDJT has accomplished miracles given the support these poseurs have continuously pulled like Lucy’s football. Lindsay Graham tops my list…speaks out of both sides of his mouth so often, not even he knows what his politics are. He and McCain were the original gruesome-twosome members of the “MeMeMe” Party.
Ha, Ha, Haaaa Trump worked with the men, and Whoa it would be very hard with “crazy Nancy” with any deals….Trump is outsmarting her…though
Have the voodoo witches shown up to curse the deals?
Maybe that will happen as part of the BLM curriculum in the classroom.
The Tik Tok arrangement is interesting.
I think of Iran as a murderous stalker. The EU is still sending love notes.
That Obama deal to allow them to start selling WEAPONS?
Man we dodged a bullet with Trump.
The EU are dangerously myopic. They must be seriously corrupt to ignore the progress towards ME peace as led by the U.S. Apparently the EU are only interested in making profits from arms sales to Iran and Lebanon; peace be damned.
IMHO this gives President Trump even more leverage against the EU since they are obvious to everyone in their continuing to exacerbate tensions via their ill-advised arms sales.
The Trump Doctrine of gathering countries together in peaceful negotiations based on THEIR national interests in having a future in the global economy and less adherence to outdated divisions based on religious tenets from the past is reaping rewards worldwide.
This is a doctrine that goes against the “perceived wisdom” of foreign policy “experts” from the left and right over decades of fruitless conversations within the academic and diplomatic worlds who became so rooted in their own shared opinions that they could no longer think “out of the box” and warned of the destruction of the carefullly nurtured status quo if Trump took office and became a disruptive outsider from their cliques on left and right. No wonder some of his picks for administration posts resigned. They couldn’t agree that the Trump doctrine of reducing the American footprint abroad while encouraging the sloths in NATO and enemies like the Pallestinians and Iran to respect out new policy of American interests first.
This “dumb and dangerous” outsider is creating a new diplomatic paradigm for our policies for friend and foe. And the old guard of global politics on left and right are being left outside the circle of influence. I would like to call them all “dumb and dangerous” but perhaps they are able to learn what a true American negotiator is like.
Blessed are the Peacemakers.
For they will rule the Wild West.
“the PA will eventually have to drop their hostile posture and return to the negotiating table with far less support”
Sane thinking leaders would have never put their people in the position that they are. The PLO and Hamas will continue to listen to their leader, IRAN. Negotiations mean nothing. The Arabs of Palestine will continue to suffer and their leaders will say it’s because of Israel. Been watching this for 5 decades.
Don’t get me wrong. Peace with other Arab countries are huge for other obvious reasons.
Peace
Good post. Your ideas seem to make sense.
I am really trying very hard to learn, and understand so much more about this issue.
How is it that “…peace with other Arab countries are huge”? Does this mean that the other Arab countries may be able to somehow exert pressure on Hamas, PLO, etc., to work toward peace?
Money, PLO and Hamas get money and help from all these Arab countries. Government and private. Their leaders take the money and give it to terrorist and keep large amounts of it for themselves.
Would be interesting to see the documents of these peace deals. Maybe it says in some way they will not support the PLO and Hamas.
By definition a peace deal implies a cessation of support for terrorism.
Hope so
OK. So, as I struggle to understand this…a direct resolution of what seems to be the core problem (Israel vs. “Palestine”) has been a horrible Gordian Knot, for 40-60 years.
No one has been able to find any resolution. The Palestinians (supposedly) have rejected every proposal, and the Israelis continue to expand their Settlements.
And President Trump’s approach seems (maybe) to be a work-around, of sorts. Try to make peace, and establish valuable economic/cultural ties between outlying Arab nations and Israel.
Then try to find some way to move inward, to resolve/mediate the core problem. Is that what is developing?
Approaching the problem in a new and different way, from the outside in?
You know the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is the “palestinian” area of what was once called the Palestinian Mandate under the Balfort Agreement? You also ofc know than Judea, Gallilee and Samaria are a part of historical Israel which are now called the “West Bank” because of the illegal Jordanian occupation of the territory 1948-67? If you read your Holy Bible the Arabs will eventually be very upset. The land God gave to Jews encompasses parts of northern Egypt, into northern Saudi Arabia, up to Turkey and over to the Euphrates River (Iraq). Careful reading of the old testament shows as God’s people were faithful, he stood them up to conquer a new portion of their gifted land. They have never been steadfast long enough to possess the entirety of their gift.
Jewish irredentism (an absolute insistence on acquiring what you suggest is their due) IMO would doom Israel. Those lands are almost 100% Jew-free. If they did not allow the people of those lands to become citizens, they would in effect be ruling an empire of bitterly hostile subjects. It would not survive. If they gave them citizenship, the new citizenry would vote in a Muslim regime, try to eliminate the minority religionists, and then turn on each other.
Nevertheless, they WILL possess all the land given them either in this age or the next one where God’s Capital of Jerusalem will rule over the entire world absent Satan for a thousand years, often called the Millennial Kingdom.
For that to happen, I foresee that Islam will have to be reconciled with its Abrahamic brother religions, Judaism and Christianity (in fact, both it and Judaism will have to learn that Christ is the Way). Sorry, guys, but it is the lesson you will have to learn; Christ is the template for perfected man (all mankind), and is beyond any mere “prophet” of any religion.
You also need to consider the President’s approach against recent developing situation in those nations joining this process.
1. In the Gulf States, leadership of their governments has changed to those now focused on the welfare and future of their countries after the Oil Cash Runs out. There have been a few business shows on Gulf States trying to expand beyond Oil and investors in those alternate industries are somewhat skiddish if they have to fund terrorists and war.
2. Iran and China destabilizing everything from Gulf and across Africa (see item 3 below).
3. African nations beginning to realize if they want any future beyond being a large, full-time open pit mine for China and others, something has to be done.
Doc, I see at some point, hopefully during Trump Term Two, New Silk Road indebtees repudiating the legitimacy of their debts and the Creeping Chinese Colonialism and driving the Sino State out en mass.
The Chinese can wrest one or two projects from the countries they robbed, but not all of them at once.
“skittish”?
Shadow-skiddee-boom-boom. (Sorry, my “Mad” magazine past sometimes pops up; it’s just that kind of guy…)
…from the Mad magazine parody of “The Shadow”, back in the old, 1950s “Mad”, drawn by Willy Elder (I think) to adolescent-tastes perfection.
Yassar Arafat was offered the entirely of the landmass he claimed to want in the Oslo accords, presided over by Bill Clinton, and instead launched an Infitada, an uprising. They don’t want peace.
Outside Arabs don’t want, or didn’t, want them to have peace. The newly fabricated “Palestinian” people have been maintained as a festering fetid wound in the side of Israel producing nothing but toxic hate and endless violence and vitriol as a strategy. They have been fed money, weapons and second-hand hubris to breed and rage and murder, with not one step towards enabling their ascension to a sustainable humanity made by those that created them as a weapon against Israel.
Approaching the problem now, as you aptly paraphrased it, from the outside in, is the only effective resolution short of their utter annihilation. Moving the prospects of peace from attempts to satisfy the insatiable greed and blood lust of the Palestinians with their ahistorical claims to that of stabilizing the entire region with self-interested peace born prosperity nullifies the dynamic of supporting Palestinians as a proxy jihad.
The Palestinians are too warped to see it now, but peace is breaking out all over and they will soon be starved of all support. They will have to sue for peace, and the terms quite justly will never again be as favorable to them as all the over-generous offers they rejected because those offers were on the condition that Israel survives. Yet, the terms under the Trump Doctrine will produce more blessings for them as human beings than the full granting of any of their long-standing demands ever could.
Answering your last question, James – yes. “From the outside in” is exactly the way Jared Kushner described it.
Good instincts, good guess!
Amazing time to be alive. My personal belief is that anyone who refuses to see the Palestinian Authority as the aggressor at this point is not debating in good faith.
I’m a very simple person. The analogy I’ve drawn about the ME efforts is, as directly opposing the problem-makers, Trump has elected to encourage growth for those around the problem; much like weeds in your lawn, rather than using roundup, you fertilize the grass within which the weeds are growing to the point that the grass overtakes and chokes out the weeds. There is nothing new under the sun.
It’s new to those profiting from endless fruitless diplomacy and Washington’s wars of waste.
What a difference an election makes! The difference between a MAGA President who fervently desires peace in the world and a Deep State that foments war in order to keep the world divided against itself…
“By changing the originating dynamic away from discussions of conflict; and focusing attention on the economic opportunities to improve the life of everyone in the region based on a prosperity model; the Trump administration has found a synergy, a common alignment, between all regional interests.”
I have been telling people that what they are witnessing with the Trump administration is a global paradigm shift. Sundance has summed it up perfectly in just two sentences. THIS is the new paradigm.
The entire US foreign policy approach has been based upon and staffed for the old failed paradigm. That is, we have spent decades trying to get parties to the table, with each other or with us, to try to “iron out their differences,” to try to “resolve their conflicts.” Trump threw that approach and the establishment apparatus that supported it out the window. HE began the discussions with commonalities and how those might be expanded. Look at every foreign policy accomplishment he has delivered, from North/South Korean rapprochement, to the USMCA, to the trade deal with China, to the recent Israel/UAE/Bahrain agreement. All began with commonalities.
It should not be a surprise. This is how every business deal begins. Both parties have some common interest that brings them together in the first place. I have this thing and want to sell it. You don’t have that thing but want to buy one. How do we make it happen?
Oh, the PLO will snipe, and the democrats will snipe, but no one involved cares. The naysayers will be left in the “dustbin of history” they like to talk so much about. And the entire thing will play out exactly the same way domestically. It already has, until the virus distracted us.
I could go on and on, but I’ll stop. It is brilliant in its obvious simplicity. The mark of its brilliance is that one’s reaction tends to be “why didn’t WE think of that?”
He’s not a fraud.
He’s not a liar
He fans flames, then puts out fire.
His fans love him cuz he’s not for hire.

He can take the heat;
He’s not a chump,

So, be careful!

So worthy of the Office and of the Seal
President Donald J Trump is the real deal.

So, just to be sure I don’t misunderstand, you like Trump?
?
Palestinians people should realized by now that they are just idiot sheeples by their Hamas leaders for conflict to continue so money keep flowing.
Hey Mike,
How can someone who attended West Point not be knowledgeable about Chapter 13 in the Art of War. Sadly, George Soros is well versed, he’s infiltrated your State Department Bigly.
The Russia Collusion, Impeachment. countless leaks, and the “Atlantic” story regarding President Trump disrespecting the dead soldiers all initiated from the Soros controlled State Department.
Hey lamb…try reading and thinking about Secretary Pompeo’s dilemma. Secretary Pompeo has forgotten more strategy and history than you ever learned. Plus, he knows first hand the issues of his staff and Shanghai Mitch McConnell has narrowed the field of trustworthy appointees. He has a “professional” non-appointed staff, protected by Federal Law of over 60,000 that was installed over the 24 years of Clinton-Bush II – Obama administrations. Either he executes the President’s policies or wastes time hunting moles, 1 at a time.
Executing policy is the right choice.
Excellent article comparing Bill Clinton’s fake and dangerous “peace” with Arafart vs. what POTUS Trump is achieving:
Caroline Glick: “A Tale of Two White House Signing Ceremonies”
09/18/2020
https://carolineglick.com/a-tale-of-two-white-house-signing-ceremonies/
“The UAE, Bahrain and Israel have come together because of the courageous leadership of President Donald Trump and his advisors who were willing to acknowledge the reality on the ground and listen to the voices those who opposed what happened at the White House 27 years ago. Trump and his team were willing to break ranks with generations of American policymakers who insisted that terrorists are the true peacemakers, the road to peace is appeasement, and those who look for mutual respect, human decency and shared interests as the basis of peace are right-wing warmongers.”
There is even a better contrast, which I have noted on other sites.
President Trump puts a deal in place and the signatories stop Iranian terrorists.
President Obama puts the faux Iranian Nuke Deal in place, then his administration sells out a US Navy Seal Team to the Iranians to set up cash on the run-way for the hostages.
Just want to highlight a thing which may or may not have occurred to anyone. I know it’s a trifling detail but I think it’s an important tell when it comes to determining the intent of politicians out there.
One example is mass mail-in ballots. The world knows it’s a bad idea and they are doing it anyway. That’s OBVIOUS.
Another example is when it comes to “deal making” like treaties and the like. Most politicians out there would SAY they want to make a deal and then require ALL of the participants to sit down and sign. That would NEVER happen with this peace deal. Why? We know why. But that’s what they would do.
And Trump just got it done starting with two parties and is now expanding on it. This is a critical difference in terms of tactics and in results.
It’s obvious that to try to get Iran (and others) to sit down together to sign a deal would fail. That’s why Trump didn’t do it this way. Now he’s creating a “haves and have nots” scenario where those who join will have positive results in terms of prosperity. That becomes the incentive for others to join.
One could make the argument the professional politicians aren’t that smart. Sorry. I don’t buy it. I’m not that smart and it’s pretty obvious to me.
President Trump has just signed and issued an Executive Order – probably late this morning – on nixing the arms trade with Iran.
The “snapback” is now fully “snapped” and other nations had better reconsider their positions regarding Iran pronto – or else!!
