A few days ago Samsung announced they would stop production and manufacturing of Televisions in China by November. Today they announce they will stop the sales of high-tech chips to Chinese owned Hauwei.
ANDROID HEADLINES – In the latest blow to Huawei, South Korean chip manufacturers Samsung and HK Hynix will reportedly cease all trades with the Chinese company beginning next week. This comes after the US Department of Commerce last month announced an amendment to the trade restrictions it imposed on Huawei back in May.
According to reports from various Korean news outlets, the companies will suspend trade on September 15th. That’s when the new set of rules come into effect. The rules bar any American or non-American company that uses a US-origin software or technology from selling components to Huawei. Any such trade would require the companies to obtain special approval from the American government.
TSMC has reportedly already suspended trades with Huawei following the first round of restrictions in May. With Samsung and HK Hynix also now forced to stop selling components to the Chinese giant, it poses a serious threat to the company’s smartphone business. (READ MORE)
Not coincidentally in May Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) announced they were going to invest in a new high-tech center in Arizona. A manufacturing facility for advanced 5 nanometer chip manufacturing is a steep investment decision costing around $12 billion. The primary use of the chips would be for Apple Inc.
These moves are a direct result of President Trump playing the economic long-game with an assembly of interests… three results, all connected within a much bigger picture.

And President Trump’s beautiful granddaughter, Arabella, sweetly serenaded the Chinese First Family twice in Mandarin Chinese song showing the utmost respect for the guests and later for the hosts.
All of this activity mirrors the duplicity of China. From the November 2017 tour of Asia to the January 2020 China phase-1 trade deal, President Trump has been positioning, for an economic decoupling and a complete realignment of global trade and manufacturing.

I am not sure, but how long (time-wise) and how much research goes into such a major decision. I do know one thing, it is not longer than four years, because that would place it in the BHO reign of corruption that was without a smidgen of honesty or integrity.
That is about as far as it can go with silicon technology (5nm). With traces closer than that you get electronics distortion on the signals from EM effect. This is what the US has been doing:
Tax our own workers (income and payroll), and factories (capital and dividends) so that product made in the US costs more. Add regulations and red-tape to reduce productivity. Then allow that same product from overseas to come into the US tax-free.
The consumer gets a cheap product, but the US loses its manufacturing, its high-paying jobs, its tax base, and ultimately its position in the world as an economic power house.
And the corrupt or stupid politicians on both sides of the aisle supported this agenda for decades.
Consider an alternative. The US taxes imports, and reduces the taxes on labor and capital. Consumer prices go up (especially for Chinese products “dumped” into the US below cost with the intent to destroy US industry). Some foreign products cannot be readily duplicated in the US, and the US suffers by having to pay more for them. On the other hand, the US has more and better-paying jobs, and a growing economy creates more wealth than a stagnant economy. There may be a hidden downside to using tariffs instead of income taxes (for example) to fund the government, but it surely has its compensations.
As for the “genius” economists who advise us, consider Nobel-winning economist Paul Krugman who stated after Donald Trump won the Presidency in November, 2016, “we are very probably looking at a global recession, with no end in sight.”
Yes, the only people who benefited from the lack of tariffs before were the globalists who tarriffed us to death on top of stealing our industries, intellectual secrets and generations of wealth.
And Paul had to eat his words. It immediately got better because the market knew VSG POTUS TRUMP’s Ameica First policies were good for the USA vs ILLary’s.

This was an interesting adjunct, in a way, to something I was reading just a bit ago. Some months ago I backed a kickstarter project (big bucks– I think it was $150 😉 ) for a piece of photography gear called a Platyball; when it comes out it’ll be a jazzy new tripod head. Its development has been delayed by, well, you know all about that. It seems to be back on track altho’ I won’t get mine by Christmas most likely, which is no big deal to me. Then came this: “At a recent meeting, the manufacturer informed us that, due to Covid-19 and international trade patterns in the far-east, a tremendous amount of manufacturing, especially in metals, has moved from China over to countries like Taiwan and Indonesia.” A little later on it said that the bill of materials for final manufacturing would be sent to Taiwan, so — I would interpret this to be a teensy win for PDJT’s trade policy as this precision manufacturing job will not be done in the PRC.

Taiwan war planes are taking on the CCP air force. American carriers are sailing at will in the South China Sea and elsewhere.
The WHO and the UN are being pressured into accepting Taiwan as a country.
