Can someone point me in the direction where House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer extended the House legislative calendar through December 20th.

no real need to read this fraud past paragraph 1– where they have betrayed the game

the accusation now being that not only was a proposed investigation into Bidens impeachable but that investigation into whether ‘Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in 2016 elections’, was impeachable too–both investigations apparently proposed to aid in 2020 elections

dont know where to begin…too absurd to bother

all i can say is that any prosecuting attorney, in any jurisdiction in the world, who brought forward a case with this many logical holes would be disbarred immediately.

    • TarsTarkas says:

All that matters is if they can pass articles of impeachment by at least a one-vote majority in the House and then persuade 2/3 of the Senate to remove.
Alternately to drag impeachment out until the 2020 election, or cause a constitutional crisis with the aid of Obama judicial appointees, as a poster in a previous thread mentioned to allow the Speaker of the House to launch an impeachment any old time they have a disagreement with POTUS.
Lawfare is trying to burn the Constitution. They’re Bugs Bunny with the mallet trying to hit the firing pin on the bomb just right. They think that they’ll not only survive the resulting explosion but thrive in the chaos the follows. There’s a reason why Trump has been cultivating the rank and file in the military. Because he knows the DOD brass is compromised.

First big takeaway from House intel report: It concludes that VP Pence– who would become POTUS if Trump is removed– was “either knowledgeable of or active participant” in conduct that is basis for impeachment.

They put that false allegation in there to infer Pence could be impeached too.

I think that attempt will only solidify Senate opposition to Trump removal from office if impeachment goes to trial.

They have no case. Biden implicated himself of crimes on video. Like Sally Yates would say, “We wouldn’t expect you to sit on your hands after giving you this information”. (as they did with Flynn).

Biden’s mistake was not keeping his mouth shut after doing the deed. Biden’s mistake does not give Biden immunity from action.

      • Speaker of the House Pelosi has never really tried to conceal her true intentions here: if Trump and Pence are removed simultaneously, we have: Madame Presidente … Pelosi.

It’s a coup d’etat, folks. The Speaker of the House wants to seize the throne for herself.

And, for all future Presidents, and for any Supreme Court justices they don’t like, it will be exactly the same: the House passes a Bill of Attainder (Sec. 1.9.3 be damned …), the Senate rubber-stamps it, and the Speaker … chosen by “the Party” not the public … becomes President on the day after inauguration day. Then, they remove unwanted Justices, and the Party-appointed President selects new ones who are immediately confirmed. Now, the entire United States Government is under their hand-picked control.

Now, you know. She has tipped her hand at last.

Best I can tell is that process is Constitutional and the only Constitutional protection is the 2/3 threshold for conviction in the Senate. The process does smell like a Bill of Attainder except that the impeachment process in non-judicial and non-criminal. If convicted in the Senate, the penalty is removal from office and possibly prohibition of holding future Federal office, any possible criminal charges/penalties are left to the Judiciary.

I found this informative; however, since it was compiled by a Dem. controlled Judiciary Comm. staff, I can’t say how biased it is. But it is still a good read.

“Report by the Staff of the Impeachment Inquiry on the
          Constitutional Grounds for Presidential Impeachment,
Committee Print, Committee on the Judiciary, 93d Cong. 2d
          Sess., Feb. 1974”

That would make a great defense message for PDJT…’Here you go, follks. This is what you get if PDJT is impeached’…with a slide show of the homeless living on shit lined streets of democrat controlled cities.

    • Mikgen says:

Isn’t that good? IMHO extremely stupid of the Democrats (but nothing else was to be expected). If Pence also is threatened by impeachment – all to be able to crown Pelosi – wouldn’t that preclude any Republican senator voting for impeachment. Even Collins, Murkowski, and Romney would have to hold the line.

    • snarkybeach says:

that was the cockamamie fairy tale the Dems were pushing to libs after the election: impeach Trump and Pence at the same time. Then speaker Ryan would pass the torch to Hillary.

HUGE! Schiff Investigated Rep. Nunes and His Aide Derek Harvey as Part of His “Impeachment Inquiry” – And Obtained Their Phone Records! (VIDEO)
Cristina Laila by Cristina Laila December 3, 2019

“It is deeply concerning that at a time when the president of the United States was using the power of his office to dig up dirt on a political rival, that there may be evidence that there were members of Congress complicit in that activity,” Schiff said on Tuesday of Nunes’ communications with Ukrainian-American Lev Parnas and Rudy Giuliani.

GANG-OF-EIGHT knew about the spying on President Trump campaign and on his staff while president. Read below – the law makes it clear
The Intelligence Oversight Act of 1980 mandated that the CIA “fully and currently [inform]” Congressional oversight committees of their activities including “any significant anticipated intelligence activity.”

I am amazed at the audacity of the Democrats. This report contains outright lies. I expected they’d stick to half truth and innuendo. But no, they went the whole hog.

Besides direct contradiction of the phone transcripts, they keep blathering about “legal subpoenas” being ignored and the Schiff show being “obstructed”.

But they chose to circumvent a house vote and conduct their partisan “inquiry” in the intelligence committee not the judiciary committee. Therefore none of Schiff’s letters of demand carried any legal weight and could not possibly be called “legal subpoenas”.

The Lawfare players responsible for writing this mendacious drivel need to be disbarred.

Okay so Schiff and his witnesses. That was the meat of my perusal of the report. His documentations seem to be nothing more the assumed motive and witnesses disagreement with policy and process.

Everything is cloaked in dramatic terms, leading me to believe Schiff actually had a handle on the language and tone of the report. It is to bad for whatever argument Lawfare thought they could muster. It reads like the opening and closing narrations of an old serial movie

“Did the bad Orange man think he would get away with doing something? Will we ever figure out what he did? What ever he did we know it was bad. If he did something bad he must be impeached. Can Mr Schiff single handedly safe.the town from the clutch’s of bad orange man”

Schiffs melodrama bleeds through every sentence. This may be all him. He may have been working on this opus for months Days of our lives is on hiatus perhaps he is hoping to retire to writting.

It’s a paperwork impeachment. They generated some paperwork that says some stuff. Nadler will take the paperwork that says some stuff, and create some more paperwork that says some stuff which will be voted on by the full House. The content doesn’t matter. They could write up the recipe for green eggs and ham and use it to impeach Trump. Their voters will be too excited to contain their bladders and will pee all over themselves with glee. “We did it!” they’ll shout together.

Hearings tomorrow to justify why the HJC can just rubber stamp the HPSCI report. I’m going to laugh my ass off if the Democrat-picked “witnesses” testify that the HJC has to run a real investigation based on a full House vote. Looking forward to one or more Republicans getting them to acknowledge this.

Oh, I forgot wasn’t it AG Barr’s SDNY Office that allowed them access to Rudy’s and Nunes phone records?

Did I mention the US District Attorney for SDNY reports to AG Barr?

Well let’s see, it has taken 9 months and still not a single document has been declassified but what it took a day maybe 2 to give Shifty access to Nunes and Rudy’s phone records.

Is it time to replay the Notre Dame and Federalist speeches?

IMO, What a complete and total farce this is!

  20. I’m going to say something remarkable right now and it is apparently news to a lot of people. EVERYTHING a President does in their first term of office is done in order to aid in their reelection campaign. That is the entire point. It is called trying to get reelected by making the choices you feel are best for your country and therefore, having the most opportunity to make your electorate happy with the results of your first term.

Would we really want it any other way? A President using their office to try and make enough Americans happy with your results as possible in order to win again.

How in the world is that impeachable?

The hypocrisy of Schiff and his ilk knows no bounds. Wonder if he got a fisa warrant on Nunes? In the middle of an investigation on fisa warrant abuse?

The actions of these people at first seem so “out of the box” incredible. But they are not.

Donald J Trump forced their hand. Unmasked them. Now, they don’t care anymore. They are out in the open anyway. Exposed. In reality, they are just accelerating their schedule for their long awaited transformation of America. They don’t give a demonrat’s ass about the Constitution, the rule of law, or anything else for that matter. They never did.

In their minds, all of what they are doing now would have happened anyway, but over a longer, sleepier period of time.

The problem is, We are wide eyed awake. We are onto them. This won’t go well for them.
