Barr Reviews Mueller Report – Pelosi Huddles With Team for Strategy…

According to most media reporting AG William Barr is meeting with Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein today and reviewing the completed Mueller report.  At the end of this review, according to statute, AG Barr will commission a “Principle Conclusion” summary report that he will deliver to congress.  As of 4:00pm EST, the White House has not been privately briefed on the Mueller findings.

The summary report from AGBarr will be given to House and Senate judiciary oversight committees before wider dissemination. The Chair of the House Judiciary Committee is Jerry Nadler (ranking member Doug Collins); the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee is Lindsey Graham (Vice-Chair Dianne Feinstein).  AG William Barr may also brief those committees, or he may assign DAG Rosenstein to the briefing.

Depending on conversations between the DOJ and congressional leadership, there’s also a possibility of a more extensive briefing covering details within the Mueller investigation.  However, that briefing would likely be reserved for the intelligence oversight group known as the “Gang of Eight”: Nancy Pelosi, Kevin McCarthy, Adam Schiff, Devin Nunes, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, Richard Burr and Mark Warner.

Due to the politics surrounding the Barr report, it is likely the White House will be given the Principle Conclusion Summary around the same time as congress.  The White House (executive branch) may also be able to review the full underlying documentation behind the summary…. that’s likely where the political fight for the ‘narrative’ will take place.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi tipped her hand at the Democrat approach during a strategy meeting today.  According to early reporting Pelosi will refuse to attend any ‘Gang of Eight’ briefing and will demand the full investigative file be declassified:

This Pelosi approach aligns with what we suspected the Democrats would demand.  They want the full Mueller investigative file including: every wiretap, every recording, every intercepted communication; every interview, every transcript, every FBI note (FD-302 report), every conversation, every lead, every tip, everything the Mueller team did to investigate President Trump and every member associated therein.

“It is imperative for Mr Barr to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to Congress,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said late Friday in a statement, adding that Barr should not give Trump any “sneak preview.” (link)

With the investigation spanning 22 months, over multiple continents, that full investigative file would be like a massive grand jury library of evidence.  Likely millions of pages of documents, multiple reports, interviews etc.

Keep in mind this file also would include wiretaps, electronic intercepts and physical/electronic surveillance.  Most of that file would be innuendo, supposition, suspicion and investigative lines of inquiry.   That file would hold the seeds for weaponizing unfounded accusations etc; that’s why Pelosi and Schumer would want it.

Also keep in mind Mueller’s team is almost guaranteed to have been telling their allies about all of the juicy accusations they were investigating.

It’s highly likely Pelosi, Schumer and the Lawfare community already know, in summary, what is deep inside the Mueller Team’s investigative file.  The majority of that file is unfounded speculation that was researched; but it would be the holy grail of opposition research for weaponization; including the possibility of wiretaps inside the White House.

Having spent the past two years claiming that any republican declassification request was undermining the institutions and intelligence agencies of our government, the Democrats will now flip positions and demand transparency and declassification to save the institutions of and intelligence agencies from corruption.  Their hypocrisy is boundless.

This will likely be the battle-space for the next several weeks/months that AG William Barr will have to navigate. The Democrats and their allied media will accuse him of covering-up for high crimes and misdemeanors….  We will also likely see the members of the Mueller team providing the feeder material for this effort.

Each of the Mueller team members will be leaking information, and building innuendo narratives about their investigative activity, to the Lawfare community and media.  The ‘small group‘ effort will certainly work in concert with political allies in congress and the DNC.  This is just how they roll.

Keep in mind the larger picture and most likely political sequence:

  1. Mueller report.
  2. Chosen One.
  3. Cummings Impeachment Schedule, known as “oversight plans” (April 15)
  4. Horowitz report

#2 and #3 are not sequence specific; they may reverse.  However, the larger objective of the resistance apparatus will remain consistent.

The narrative around the Mueller investigative material will launch the chosen DNC candidate (possibly Biden).  The professional political class will work to lift this candidate by exploiting the Mueller investigative file as ammunition against President Trump.

As pre-planned within Speaker Pelosi’s rules, House Oversight Chairman has until April 15, 2019, to deliver his schedule for congressional hearings to Speaker Pelosi.  That hearing schedule is based around witnesses they can extract from the Mueller material.

Nothing happens organically.  All of the broad strokes are planned well in advance, and the democrats just fill in the details as they successfully cross pre-determined tripwires.  Once we know where the tripwires are located, their behavior becomes predictable.

(Pelosi Plan)

A good working relationship between Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham and President Trump will now become more important.

As Pelosi and Schumer wage their political battle and attempt to weaponize the Mueller report for maximum damage, Senator Graham will be exploring the DOJ and FBI corruption of the FISA court and spygate.  That angle is a risk to multiple Obama-era administration officials.

President Trump and team have genuine political ammunition that includes FISA abuse, the ‘spygate’ surveillance scandal and an upcoming OIG Horowitz report.

Speaker Pelosi and team have the fabricated political ammunition of the Mueller probe to weaponize.

Both teams will now go to battle on the road to 2020.

Sunsertommy I .think events will overtake the dimmwits and they will be irrelevant. Their plan will fail. People will turn away and pay no attention. Mueller Report (nothingburger), OIG Report release, release of unredacted FISA warrants, FBI communications and Ohr 302s. The named participants and those with knowledge of the coup will be important. Hopefully, some will be members of Congress (House and/or Senate). How many of these clowns are the accused in indictments yet to be served and revealed at arraignment? Unless the accused is deemed subject to military tribunal.. Then the veil may not be lifted. I don’t know. By now PDJT knows all. He’s in charge of MI and NSA as well as US military. FISA warrants work for WH as well as against it. Great show, isn’r it? Stay tuned.

The Dems are going crazy because they know a lot of them will be implicated in the spygate FISA declassification, notice the silence from the RINOs. As Nunes said this is the biggest political corruption scandal in our history. POTUS always means what he says! He told us already they have nothing on him and he has a lot on them. Its coming! Never forget this is also a war for the hearts and minds of the people!! The battlefield must be prepped before the battle is fought. There is no way POTUS would have been able to just start arresting these people. The people must be prepped for what is to come. It MUST be laid bare for all to see.

Backfiring on the Dems doesn’t meet the minimum standard for the appropriate response.

It’s my sincere hope that, in keeping with the drain the swamp pledge, PT has assurances from Barr that any potential crimes committed leading up to and during the witch hunt will be investigated and prosecuted, regardless of who is involved.

Horowitz is still out there flapping as is Huber. Half of the country, at least, will know if there is a cover up of the coup plotter’s criminality. I don’t see how it can be worth it for Barr to attempt it. Judicial Watch will be on him like a dirty shirt. Then, of course there are the unreacted documents to be released.

I realize PT will have his hands full once election season is in full swing but this can’t be just a tit for tat. PT was investigated, people around him got the hammer. It seems there is no meat to the mueller report. Exoneration.

The perps need to be punished. Half the country will not accept a cover up.

I certainly hope that is what occurs. I cannot see President Trump fighting so hard, sacrificing so much, watching his children, friends, and business associates (and Melania!) abused so badly, and discovering the complete depth and breadth of the vast Uniparty treason and corruption, to simply walk away.

President Trump loves America as much as the rest of us. When his time in office is done, hopefully in 2024, THIS president sure as hell wouldn’t want to turn the country back over, to the very same scumbags, who have tried to destroy her. No, if such a deal was/is made to allow the traitors to go free……no, President Trump wouldn’t sell us out.

The guilty must pay. If they don’t, then the rule of law in America is nothing more than hot air.The pundits and bullsciff artists may try to muddy the waters, conflate the issues, and shield the guilty from prosecution, but President Trump realizes this to be true. The president holds all the cards, and when he starts dropping the Truth Nukes, it’s going to be popcorn time….unleash hell, Mr. President!!

I would add only that Trump knows if he goes full bore and does this as it should be done with ALL the deep state behind bars including the Clintons and Obama, etc, the country will see civil unrest, what’s left of congress will be in shock, and the SCOTUS will be on life support. That’s OK with me. Like in the movie The Godfather, “settle all family business.”

The alternative would be MUCH worse. If he lets the deep state walk, patriots will lock n load & do it for him. Trust me on that. Better to do it the right way, use the very system our enemy hates to destroy them once & for all time. The country will be better off for it.

There are so many variables involved, and at any moment any one of them may change, which screws up the whole outcome…..to say predicting a specific outcome is difficult, that is the understatement of the year. Regardless, Mule-Ear’s report exonerating our president undoubtedly gives us incredible momentum.

Tagging on to what ParteaGirl said above – when the president has been bombarded by at least 90% negative press coverage, since Day One of his administration, combined with being the focus of a Special Counsel anal probe, well for him to be anywhere near a 50% approval rating, is nothing less than remarkable in my book. Of course, also keep in mind we’re talking about the modern day electorate; 40 plus years of progressive indoctrination, as a result of the propaganda spewed from our public schools and universities, has taken its toll on the gullible and/or weak-minded.

When President Trump finally goes on offense, and starts dropping some of the Truth Nukes he has in his arsenal, that’s when the fun begins….popcorn time!

I’m curious about the sequencing going forward. Does Trump release the declassified docs prior to Huber or Horowitz or does he drag it out for one grand finale? Trump is driving the train right now and the left is only on for the ride.
I am old enough to remember Watergate. It started out slow and escalated. I can see the same thing going on here, where every time the Dems start acting up, something will be released that will smack them down. In the long run, I see this as the end of the Democratic Party as presently configured.

I think everyone is once again forgetting that President Trump cannot declassify the documents all by himself. IIRC he must go through the DOJ (Barr) in order to follow the proscribed law/procedures. The DOJ has to confirm that every redaction that is to be unredacted and subsequently declassified and made public will not harm US Security / Intelligence. So declassifying is a matter of leverage, counter-leverage, and negotiation.

GB, you have to think though that a great many of the redactions were placed in order to cover up crimes and/or embarrassment. Per (Obama-issued!) EO, they by law, MUST be unreadacted. Pass the popcorn!

This is where the rubber meets the road. Either Barr is going to do his job and go after the treasonous bastards responsible for this and start criminal investigations that lead to indictments and prison or he is going to do a few token firings and cover it all up and say he has instituted major changes at DOJ to keep this from ever happening again…mistakes were made blah blah blah. Graham investigating this is a huge yawner…it may be of interest to some of the people here and among conservative circles, but the only thing that is going to give Trump ammunition going into the 2020 election are going to be prosecutions of those responsible.

Great summary SD. As you predicted, with the recent changes at FOX they are going big time negative this afternoon. They are saying that just because there will be no new indictments, that doesn’t preclude that the report will contain “possible” impeachment offenses.

FOX is quickly going to the dark side. Fox is run by “Australians” but in fact they are really Brits in their souls. The Brits are up to their ears in this mess and have been from the beginning. Re: Napolitano almost lost his job for calling them out. Haven’t seem him on FOX since the Mueller thing broke out Friday, and FOX had every single other contributor on in the last 24 hours…..

      • They know that, and the legally untutored democrat base doesn’t. That’s why they’ll play this up as if following procedures regarding disclosure is now obstructing justice. Schiff specializes in this type of gross mischaracterization of the relevant processes and how they should work.

Anyway, this is just another overly alarmist post by SD who I agree with almost all the time, but not in this case. If they had anything really damaging, it would have been leaked already, or more likely, provided grounds for additional indictments. This is just another example of a bunch of shyster level lawyers trying to keep something alive when they have nothing.

The time is now for President Trump to start an investigation beginning with the Obama administration and the Gang of 8 to find out what they knew, when they knew it, and whether Obama himself was complicit in this seditious conspiracy. No one, and I mean no one, should get a pass because they went after the head guy on the other side. President Trump should never adopt the “thanks for not beating me anymore stance” – he should put the malefactors on the defensive instead.

About 2 weeks ago I spotted the “Starr Report” from 1998 at a bookstore for $1 – WITH the White House rebuttal, by the Clinton WH Counsel including Emmett Flood & Cheryl Mills…. Useful reference

Hiring Flood from the Clinton team makes me think Trump or someone near him like Rudy said “get an attorney familiar w/ battling impeachments & hearings” b/c as Solomon pointed out on Hannity, letting Clinton speak to Starr face-to-face was a perjury trap he fell into. No doubt Flood remembered it

Also interesting that Monica Lewinsky got the same treatment as Flynn: after Linda Triipp agreed to wear a wire, she was corenered by Feds who told her immunity depended on NOT speaking to her attorney

I keep coming back to this post Presidency interview of Clinton w/ Peter Jennings, viewing it in light of Trump’s predicament – when Trump says “This should NEVER happen to another President”, it’s almost like he’s completing unfinished sentences of Clinton

I confess to a heresy & apologize in advance, you sorta inspired me to crank out an ‘essay’: it was the Clinton-esque aspects of Trump, some of which I think he picked up from the man himself, method actor style, that convinced me so early that he’d win & be a great President

Their historical contexts run neary parallel, for different reasons. I rely a lot on a great book called Right Nation: Conservative Power in America for my historical data points

The authors trace the 8 yrs of the Clinton Admin as cycle of hubris: 1st Bill went too far, then Newt went too far. In his 1st term, Clinton misread his mandate & felt too free to pander to liberals, lean left, let Hilary run the healthcare bill. The result was voters just said “Jesus enough of this” & the Republican Revolution led by Newt Gingrich as Speaker was sucessful. Newt then made a similar mistake: the American ppl in the 1994 midterms voted AGAINST Clinton’s excesses, not FOR everything on the Republicans’ legislative agenda

The 2018 midterms aren’t as easy to explain b/c it’s still the present. The coup is a big part of it, as is the approach of Republicans’ in Congress: uncertain of Trump, & of his future, they struck a deal w/ Trump to work on “common ground” in which be would help them pass their agenda – I personally blaame a lot of voters & self-appointed vanguardists like Ann Coulter for not understanding the POTUS’ situation

But what happened once Clinton had real opposition in Congress? He had a fight, & it brought out the best – & the worst – in him. It any rate, Clinton was in his element in the fight.

I think we’re seeing the same play out w/ Trump. The difference is Trump has less baggage than Clinton as you point out, & he doesn’t owe the ruling class as much as Clinton did. Which as why one European after the midterms said Trump’s stance is “bare knuckles from her on in”
